It had been a busy week for Izuku. Well, about six days. He had left from The Crawler and Pop Step's place after meeting with Eraserhead. He realized with one of the Eight Precepts' Quirk he would have to make up a story and stick to making it as real as possible, hoping he could lie through his power. Or at least try to. He would have to live by stealing out of people's garbage for food and sleep in alleyways. He had to make his story a reality. At least to get past a quirk that forces one to tell the truth. He believed that he could get past it. All he had to do was work. Part of which meant that he couldn't contact either Nezu or the hero in charge of the Yakuza case. Then Izuku had a thought. All he had to do was get people to tell the story that he wanted them to. He went back to Pop and The Crawler's place. He told them exactly what to say, and had them put Eraser on the phone, who he had done the same as them.
Now it was time to wait. He heard every month on the fifth, the leader, Shie Hassaikai went to the doctors for a check-up. Now all he had to do was wait. One of the allies he had taken a nap in, was next to the bar one of the eight bullets drank at. He does ramble about the boss whenever he is plastered. Like really. Izuku was stuck there for like three or four hours listening to the guy ramble on. How does he even function like that, Izuku would never know. Well he does, his quirk helps him function while drunk off his ass.
So when Izuku saw a man walking out of the office wearing a bird-like mask, with two men following him, it was time to move. The two following him were Hekiji Tengai and Kendo Rappa. Great the unstoppable shield and spear, with the wielder to keep them in line. Izuku had torn up the clothes he was given by Pop and Crawler and ran up to Overhaul. He stopped in front of them and started to shake. "I-I-I heard you take care of those that work for you, i-i-is that true?" Izuku had turned on Vocal Modification and had set it to his little kid voice. He made sure to tremble as he looked up with almost puppy dog eyes.
The thinner of the two guards put his hand up. Hekiji Tengai, his quirk: Barrier. It allowed him to make invisible fields almost as strong as a two-inch steel wall. He looked older and wore a black kimono, along with his plague doctor mask. The wall was put between Izuku and the boss of the criminal syndicate. "So what if I do take care of my employees?" The man answered coldly, staring down at the child with disgust.
"W-w-would you possibly hire me?" At which point the bigger of the two guards started to laugh. Kendo Rappa, A.K.A The Rapper. His quirk: Strongarm. It allows him to rotate his shoulders at extreme speeds, which allows him to wear his opponents down in the few seconds it can stay active when paired with his strength. He walked up to the boss and whispered something in his ear.
"We could make him a friend of Eri after a screening. Someone who you could use to manipulate her, and threaten if she doesn't listen. Then she could also become a reverse wiretap for anything he may say if he is a spy." Overhaul agreed with the more muscular man. Although he knew it was because the big guy had a soft spot for the girl and was just trying to find a way to keep her happy.
"I'll accept you, after a screening. Then we will tell you what your job is. If you understand, follow us." Overhaul kept walking, the almost invisible wall of steel in front of him vanishing in almost an instant.
Tiny demon boy Izuku started to follow the group of three. He did stay a few steps back as every time he would try to get closer, he would bump into a barrier put up by Hekiji had up for most of their walk. It was fair in Izuku's mind.
Once they had gotten back to what looked like an abandoned building Once they walked in, Overhaul touched the ground. Izuku watched as it destabilized, crumbling open, as they walked in. Another barrier stopped him from walking down. Overhaul spoke up, "We will come back shortly with the one that will screen you."
So Izuku did all he could do. Wait.
After about an hour they came back with exactly who Izuku thought would be brought. Shin Nemoto, Quirk: Confession. This quirk allowed him to force someone to answer any question given by him, truthfully. This is what Izuku prepared for.
The man was wearing the signature Eight Precepts plague doctor mask, along with a long black coat, a pair of khakis some strung-up work boots. He sat down across the table from Izuku and looked him in the eyes.
Overhaul put his hand on Izuku's shoulder, which put him on high alert. "If I hear one thing that I dislike, or makes me think you may be a spy. I'll tear you apart where you sit." Izuku gulped as the across from him opened his mouth, or at least it seemed like he did behind his mask.
"What is your name?"
It felt like a surge of energy overtook Izuku, and he opened his mouth without any thought, "Izuku Midoriya." Welp, there goes any chance he had at hiding his true identity,
"Why are you here?"
Again that energy took over his body, and he answered, truthfully, "I'm here to infiltrate your operation in order to find what you're doing to Eri, and free her if possible." When Izuku's world went white.
He slowly felt like he was falling, saw all his memories passing by him. Watched as he saw himself grow up, getting bullied by Kacchan.
He started to cry slightly, this must be what they mean by your life flashing before your eyes. He finally got to see what his dad looked like, almost a perfect match for him but taller. He had some muscle on him too and dry lips.
Seeing the day that Kacchan fell into the river was pretty memorable too. The scowl on his face when Izuku tried helping him up.
Ah, his last week in middle school. When his life started to turn around. Kacchan had asked him why he never tried magic, and it sparked his progression up to this point. It was kinda funny, what Kacchan was the whole reason he could even try to save one life.
Meeting his first friend in years, Mashiro. The days he spent training in the dojo with him. Doing homework, and even just goofing off sometimes. Having someone that believed in him for once was pretty nice too.
Chasing down the villain that attacked the bank was pretty fun. Chasing him down was easy, but the guys had quite the offense. It was sure lucky that he had met Mirio at the time.
His first meeting with Iida could have gone much better. Getting called out for mumbling during the explanation for the U.A entrance exam was pretty embarrassing.
"Meeting both Aoyama and Uraraka back to back was pretty funny. I think I met Toru too, but that would be a rude assumption. I can't quite remember if it was her voice or not."
It would be nice to think that Izuku made an impact on everyone when he stopped the Zero Pointer from moving all by himself. Even if it was for a short bit.
"Ojiro never let go that I didn't actually talk the first time Uraraka talked to me." Izuku laughed a little as he fell.
Meeting Eraserhead was pretty cool, even if the class was threatened with expulsion.
"Beating Katsuki was something I never thought would happen. I acted like an ass though"
Being forced into the class president position was a little weird for Izuku, but he enjoyed it a bit.
"Oh, yeah the villain invasion at the U.S.J. That pissed me off."
Warning: Rare meter building.
"Really, you aren't even gonna let me die in peace? What a fucking joke."
Playing chess as a class, and his explosion at Todoroki.
Saving Eri. It wasn't a mistake. It was something he hoped could lead to him being a martyr. A beacon of hope for the girl as someone else would save her.
Then it all faded to white.
"It's fine boy. Are you okay?"The older man put his hand on Deku's shoulders. He nodded in response. "Are you sure? I don't want you damaging yourself just to get rid of my girl's scars. She wanted to be a hero, and it was her choice. I may not like it, but it's what she's wanted to do for a long time." He continued to speak as if she wasn't right behind her classmate. "That's part of the job, and it wouldn't make sense for you to get hurt to fix her pain."
Deku smiled as he looked up at the man, "Isn't that what heroes do sir? They meddle where they aren't supposed to, and always help with a smile."
Relationship with Ganma Asui Raised to 15%: God Damn He's Good.
With that, Deku started to laugh. It got harder and harder as a tear came to his eyes. "What's so funny, boy?"
"I'm sorry sir, but I've been holding this in since I met you," He kept laughing. "My quirk has a relationship gauge, that tells me a little bit of what people think of me, and watching yours has been a little too funny." With him letting that cat out of the bag, Tsuyu and Ganma both blushed as the frogged man pointed at the door.
"Out." Deku stood up and walked out.
"Understood sir. I'll see you in class on Monday Tsu!" He walked out almost robotically with a salute. The man grinned, then realized that if the boy wanted to, he wouldn't have left.
His name was Mirai Kanōsei. A wanted vigilante. Not for anything really, although those in charge didn't like a part of his quirk. After years of training, he was able to run through timelines. There was a clear difference, between running through time and running between timelines.
This tall gruff man ran right into a child. One whose hair he recognized and saw before anything else. "Oh! Izuku thank god it's you. I don't have time to explain much, I figure I have about an hour before they track me here… Why are you a child?"
"Huh? Do I know you?"
"Wait? Why are you a child? Is this a world where everything happened about twenty years later? No that wouldn't make sense, you would still be an adult, maybe then... " He rambled on for a short while before yelling. "GOD DAMN IT! Why did you have to rub off on me mumbles?!"
The man just decided to cut the time short, and take one of his gloves off before touching Izuku's hand. He saw the flashes of the boy's future. He saw it looping over and over again. He saw the same result every time except the one where he interacted.
Then they heard a scream. The man reached out and grabbed Izuku's wrist. "You can't go. If you do you die. Over and over, trapped in a time loop. I can't see too far into the future when I touch you, but I can see that you will be able to help them later. Just please, trust me and go home. I don't want you to end up living the same moment over and over. I want to be able to jump into this timeline and see one of the best generations of heroes ever produced. You are stopping everyone's timelines from progressing."
The man looked at Izuku, as the life drained from the boy's eyes. He wasn't sorry that he told Izuku this but knew that this was the only way to stop the boy from continuing to try to save that girl.
"You're already twenty years behind the rest of the timelines, you need to stop Izuku. Save her later. I promise you can." Mirai Had no clue if Izuku would actually save her later, he just needed this to stop. It just hurt the entire timestream to have a timeline so far behind the rest.
Izuku just walked away from the scream. When he got a pop-up,
Timeline restored…
'So that guy was telling the truth. Or at least wasn't completely crazy.' Izuku just made his way home slowly. He came in without yelling to his mom, or without even talking. Slowly wandering into his room and flopping onto the bed. He just lay there blankly and spaced out. He couldn't comprehend that he had stopped the entire world from moving forward for twenty years. Did that make him thirty-five? Or did that mean that he had robbed everyone of when they should have been living in? He was stuck, thinking about what should have been.
Author's Note: Yes I coped out of trying to rewrite the story a bit. I just kinda hit a brick wall and came up with this idea for a plot point in the shower. Also, from now on, I'm answering all possible reviews at the end of the Stats section! Also if you want to learn more about Mirai Kanōsei he is a character from Helpful is as Hero Does which is another one of my stories! Although he isn't in it much and will be coming back later!

Reviews:
From Guests: Right Now! And yes, I would love to see this as a comic. I would much rather write a comic but can't draw!
From Guerra Bored: Yeah I love this series too, although writing anything now that I have even the smallest of following is stressful! I never thought that anyone would read ANYTHING I wrote.
From Mystery889: Really the idea with the slime was it covered the areas he didn't have yet. For example, infiltration. Although I ended up disliking it myself later.
From CrystalofThePhilosopher: Well it's not the race anymore. Hahahaha….
From ProjectIceman: Yeah after you pointed that out I started to really dislike my choice.
