"After The Battle Is Over"
Rated T for Mild Language
Summary: A collection of drabbles showcasing made-up MK11 endings for characters outside the Mortal Kombat universe. From all types of media, witness how they'll change time after beating Kronika themselves.
Disclaimer: I do not own anything associated with the Mortal Kombat franchise, especially the games and characters themselves. They are owned by WB Games, Ed Boon, John Tobias and Netherrealm Studios. Anyway, I was inspired by both Sonicfriend129 and TheBaneOfHumanity to do these drabbles myself, so all thanks goes to them! Anyway, enjoy!
Chapter 2: Regime Superman
With Kronika defeated and gone from this realm, the hourglass was finally at the palm of my hands. I can now reshape and create a brand new timeline in my image. A timeline where I can truly regain the power that I have lost from Bruce and his Insurgency. I was gonna make sure that my Regime will rule not just Earth and all of the universes that exist, but both Earthrealm, Netherrealm and Outworld altogether. And nothing, not even Bruce Wayne, Shang Tsung and especially Shao Kahn can stop me.
But before I could change all that, I felt a sharp pain around my heart surge through my chest. Like something was bothering me deep from the inside. It was then I remembered only one person:
Lois.
My wife. The one that was taken from me. The one that I killed with my bare hands thanks to The Joker. The thoughts of her dying in my arms brought tears to my eyes. Knowing that I'll never get to see my child grow up, never see my child graduate and perhaps get married. Her death was the reason I became the monster that I was. I killed millions and millions with my bloody hands, all of them were the heroes and friends I used to stand with. Thanks to me, I can never bring them back. They all died because of me. The blood that stained my hands was now a sorrow reminder that I was nothing more but a vicious heartless tyrant who killed and destroyed just to bring justice to this world. It was all my fault.
But now, thinking about her gave me a second chance to fix everything. I went back in time and stopped the Joker from igniting the bomb that would have killed Metropolis in sight. Thanks to me and the rest of the Justice League that stood before me, Metropolis was safe to live another day, another month, another year, another decade, another lifetime. And best of all, I have Lois back with me in my arms, while celebrating the birth of our son, Jordan Ellison Kent. Looking at my newborn son's face while Lois held him helped me remind myself not just to protect the real meaning of truth and justice, the American way, but it helped remind me of the bloodthirsty tyrant I will never be for as long as I live.
Now that's what I call a redemption story, am I right?
Anyway, make sure you keep these requests coming, folks. Sure, it'll take a while to get them, yeah, but trust me. They make it well worth the wait. Don't forget to R&R and leave a little feedback if you desire as well. Until next time, PEACE!
