Izuku Midoryia, a once simple four year old with scruffy green hair that just wanted to be a hero. You see, that was the most popular profession among kids these days. Who wouldn't want to be in the spotlight, saving people with a smile?
Izuku wanted nothing more than to be like the number one hero, and his favorite, All Might. Everything was going fine till his childhood friend, Katsuki Bakugo, had the four of them stop in the park. The other two already knew what was going on. They giggled to each other. One long and lanky, with flat teeth, the other fat with red devil like wings on his back. All four of them walked in the gate to see a kid playing in the sand box. Izuku recognized him as the kid in their class that he had a weaker quirk. He could move the water in his body as he wished, expanding parts like a water balloon. Katsuki had always joked around with him, Izuku guessed that's what they were going to do. It couldn't be that bad right?
"It's going to be worse than we can imagine."
"Huh?" Izuku looked around shocked. "Did any of you guys say something?" Izuku looked around with shock.
"No we didn't Izu, all we were gonna do was play with him a bit. He knows we are all friends, so it doesn't matter if we talk. Right, extra?" Bakugo walked towards the kid playing in the sandbox and punched his right hand with his left, causing his quirk to go off and created small, firecracker-like explosions.
"Yeah sure, it's okay Bakugo." The kid was shaking, no shivering in fear. He had sweat rolling down his face, that slowly made his way to the sand below him. His pupils were small, everything was pointing towards fear.
"I'm telling us kid, you better stop him. I don't just mean now either."
Izuku started to look around the empty park, "HELLO! Who's there!" The two friends quickly moved over and covered the green haired boy's mouth.
"Don't go causing attention to us Izuku!"
"Yeah we don't want adults coming around!" The chubbier of the two left go of Izuku's mouth. He continued to look around.
"There was this deep scary voice. It sounded like it was right in my ears." Izuku started to tear up. That was when the other looked at each other, then at Bakugo. They all nodded to each other before running.
Izuku on the other hand just fell on his ass and kept crying, streams coming out of his eyes at this point.
"Look, they abandoned us. Left us in the dust! They don't care about us. No one does." As the voice ringed in his ears, someone crouched in front of him. The boy was unique at the very least. His hair was split right down the middle, his right side being white, and left being red. His eyes also differed on each side, right being almost grey, and his left being sky blue. He was wearing what looked to Izuku to be a white robe.
"Why are you crying? Are you okay?" Izuku shook his head, and continued to cry.
It was then that a large, intimidating man ran around the corner. He was probably as large as All Might, his hair red and spiked upward. He had a beard made of fire, constantly waving. He stood with his arms crossed over the two boys. His shadow over them. He then noticed the smaller boy crying and he shook his head, 'I hate dealing with children. Whiners even more so. Yet I am still a hero, and need a good example for my masterpiece. This would be a great time to show I can care. Sometimes.'
"Shoto! What happened?" The larger man crouched down and smiled at the crying boy, who responded with a large, snot-filled, inhale.
"I don't know! I saw four boys running away and him here on the ground." The kid looked up at the man, with almost contempt in his eyes. It was more accurate to say confusion. He didn't get why his father was being so nice to this random kid.
When the older man got close, the voice yelled out, "FIRE BAD, HEAT BAD, GET AWAY GET AWAY!" It was then that a dark green tendril spewed out of the boy's arm and tried to push the man away. It actually got his overly muscular frame to move a few feet back. The man had a slightly panicked look on his face.
"Boy! What's going on?!" He yelled as he struggled against the goop pushing against his chest.
"I don't know! All I know is the scary voice said that fire is bad and my arm started to move on it's own!" Then the man took a couple steps back.
"When did you start hearing this voice?" The boy sniffled as the tendril went back into his arm.
"Not too long ago. It's really loud and scary. It's deep in my head." The man looked around and saw the park was empty. He then looked at the boy, seeing that he was the same age as his masterpiece, he acted.
"Shoto! Help him up, we need to get him to the hospital. Worst case scenario, he just manifested his quirk. Best case, someone is messing with him." The boy stopped crying.
"This is my quirk?"
"Yep, I am you and you are me, we are one and the same. Let's go home, host." The voice spoke softer this time.
"Ummm sorry sir." Izuku had stopped crying at this point, and stood up bowing. "It says that it's my quirk and that we need to go home. I'll have my mom take me to the doctors. Thank you!" Izuku yelled the last bit as he started to run home. He felt really short on breath, and passed out not even a block from the park.
It was then that he woke up in an all white room. There was his mom standing next to where he was laying, she was asleep with tear stained skin on her face. He looked around and got up. He tapped his mom's knee gently, and she shot up holding him in a tight hug and lifting him off the ground. "OH! My little Izuku! I'm so glad you're okay!" She pulled him away and looked at his face. "Oh what happened to your eyes sweetie?"
Izuku turned his head sideways looking at her weird. She then got out her phone and held it up showing Izuku his eyes were now black instead of white, his piercing green still shining though. They also looked a little foggy.
It was then that a doctor burst into the room. He was a short man, with spiky purple scales instead of hair and slanted pupils, surrounded in yellow. The only thing that Izuku could think was, "Cool! Mister Doctor, is this my quirk?!" The older man laughed. Until the boy followed up, "No he doesn't look tasty. That's a weird thing to think when meeting someone."
Both the adult's eyes widened. What they had just heard is a four year old telling something that it was weird that it's first impression was that the doctor looked "tasty."
"Well I think it is part of your quirk. You seem to create a gunk that responds to electrical pulses from your brain, and can send them back as if it had its own. It seems to be made of protein, silica, calcium, and quite a few minor minerals that your body needs. I would say that you've been building it this whole time, based on how your muscles look almost rotted away, and the fact that you are somewhat shorter than average."
"I don't like being called gunk, and I do have a brain, how else am I talking to you?"
"Is my son going to be okay?" Inko Midoryia's face sank when she heard the doctor talking about how his muscles rotted away.
"He will be fine as long as he gets more of the mentioned nutrients on the document I will give you."
All while the adults kept talking, Izuku just kept staring at the floor. Till the voice spoke up again, "Listen! This is important for us!" Izuku's head shot up.
"One thing we did notice while feeding it, was that it responds more to raw meats and plants. It seems to make minor changes, but when fed an equal weight to the sample we took it began to change more so. We fed it beef, and it seemed to become slightly more muscular, as well as growing horns. We took another sample, and tried the same with cooked meat, nothing happened. When we tried it with plants, the gunk
"Stop calling me gunk!" The boy's voice came out distorted, as he yelled, then quickly covered his mouth. The two adults again looked at the boy with shock. It was then that the almost liquid wrapped around Izuku's head, matching his head perfectly including his hair. "Call us Izuku! Or if you need to refer to this part of him…. Together we are Rot."
Author's Note: Yes this is a Venom based quirk, it will have different limits, and a different powerset for a long time. I have to make it more quirky, and it is. More will be explained in flashbacks because the next chapter is a time skip! All the way to the Exam. Don't expect it soon.
