"Come on Kacchan, can't you leave us alone today? We don't have the spare money for food to heal anything bigger than basic burns." At that, an older Izuku backed up against the wall. He was still shorter than Katsuki by about sixteen centimeters. His body was thinner than the other boy's as well, almost appearing malnourished.
"Izuku. When are you going to give up on that 'we' shit. Your quirk is just a bit of strength and regen. Tell the truth extra. You're alone." Bakugo slammed his left fist into his open right hand, creating a small flurry of explosions. He quickly waved the smoke away to avoid it setting off any alarms. Izuku looked away from his friend's face and towards the ground.
"He just doesn't like you…" Izuku was speaking softly till he got interrupted.
"Izuku! Rot doesn't exist. An extra with an even more extra imaginary friend! What a fucking loser." The taller blonde boy walked away laughing, his two lackeys joining him as they caught up.
This was how his last eight years on Earth have been going. Rot refused to show himself to anyone other than his mom. Especially Bakugo. He would not even talk to Izuku when Bakugo was nearby. Rot claimed that he just didn't like the boy. Izuku figured that it had something to do with Rot's distaste for fire, heat and loud noises.
Each day for Izuku was being told he was all alone, and that no one would help him. Then it would be attacks from his age old best friend. Izuku felt like that was just his way of caring. Trying to convince him that he shouldn't be a hero because of how weak his quirk was. Rot thought….
"He's just bullying us. Trying to make us feel weaker than we are, when we could beat him at any time."
'If we could beat him anytime why don't you ever even talk when he's around? Huh? Why don't you EVER show any kind of power off when others are around?' Izuku thought to his quirk.
"I just don't find it necessary. That's all." Izuku just sighed at his quirks attitude. Nothing could bring him down though. Tomorrow will be the day of the U.A.s exam! He would make it in. No matter what.
Along his walk home, Izuku felt something a little off as he walked under the bridge on his route home. That was fine, till a sewer grate bursted out of the ground, and dented the bridge above them. Something started to ooze its way out.
"That's what I would call Gunk."
"WOULD YOU LET THAT THE FUCK GO ALREADY!" Izuku screamed as the aforementioned gunk spilled its way onto the boy, and started to enter his mouth and nose.
"What a gloriously small meat puppet! Are you getting enough to eat boy?"
"Yes. Enough for two."
'Huh?' Was the only thing the villain thought as they were pulled deeper into the boy. Almost into an abyss of power. The suction continued until the "man" was a mear puddle in Izuku's hands.
"Tasty but a little gross going down"
"WHAT HAVE I SAID ABOUT THINKING ABOUT EATING PEOPLE! NOW YOU THINK IT'S OKAY TO GO AHEAD AND SWALLOW THEM WHOLE?!" Izuku started yelling at his quirk, not caring that a shadow had overtaken him. "YOU SPIT HIM OUT RIGHT THIS INSTANT ROT! I'M NOT JOKING! I'LL TAKE AWAY YOUR SNACK PRIVILEGES!"
"But Hooooost. I left him alive, and he can regrow!"
"I DON'T GIVE A SHIT OF HE CAN… Wait, he's fine? Like he is fully functional, and will be totally fine even after you left him this much body mass?"
"Uh Huh." Izuku could swear that if Rot had his own eyes, he would be rolling them. Which pissed him off more.
"Don't you dare roll your non-existent eyes at me. Tell me what kind of power you got from him then. You ate so much that you must have gotten something." Rot forced Izuku's body to shrug. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T KNOW!"
"Young man! Who are you talking to there?"
"Oh just my quirk. He's being a little brat right now." Izuku could have sworn the voice sounded familiar, but was just in a blind rage.
"I mean we would have to test it at home, no quirk use in public remember?"
"Excuse me youn…
"SINCE WHEN DO YOU CARE ABOUT RULES? NO QUIRK USE IN PUBLIC? YOU JUST SLURPED DOWN A GUY WHO WAS TRYING TO ENTER MY BODY!"
A hand was then put on Izuku's shoulder, it was the size of his head. He turned around, then instantly became star struck. "ALL MIGHT!" Izuku started to bow over and over again. "Sorry for the use of fowl language sir!" Izuku was being really careful to not drop the villain in his hands. No matter how small, a crook is a crook.
"It's absolutely no problem. But could I have the man in your hand at the moment?" Izuku quickly pulled out an old bento box, completely empty, and put the villain inside and sealed it. He handed it over, and All Might noticed an address on top of it.
"Please have someone send it back once it's done with its job!" He said, bowing as he handed over the box to the number one hero.
"Thank you young man." As All Might turned around Izuku pulled out a notebook, and opened it to a page about the man in front of him.
"WAIT! Could you sign this and answer a question while you do?" Izuku held out his notebook, his hands shaking. All Might just couldn't say no to a fan that so desperately needed his help. All Might walked up and held out his hand, in which Izuku quickly placed a pen.
"Umm, Can someone be a hero with a really villainous quirk? Rot always judges people by how good they look to eat and just now he sucked down most of that villain." Izuku bowed as All Might finished signing. At which point he started to speak.
"If what I saw on that page fills all of your notebooks, I feel like you could have been a hero without a quirk young man. Villainous or not a quirk is a pure extension of you, your goals, and what you believe in. So make sure to work with Rot to go beyond. PLUS ULTRA!" All Might finished his speech while jumping off in the direction of the nearest police station.
Once Izuku got home, he instantly went back to his interrogation. "Tell me what you can do!"
"I THINK I can assimilate clothing. I wouldn't gain many of its properties, if I get any at all. I also think that wearing me will allow me to act as your muscles. But now I can be your hero costume. I did it for you. Hmph."
Thought's started to rush through Izuku's head. The first was running up to his mom and hugging her. The second was choosing to ignore Rots moment of Tsundere. "Mom! Rot got a new skill, I need some clothes for it to work. Can I have some money so I can go down to the nearby thrift shop?!" She looked at her boy, staring at his eyes. They were almost the same height, him being a bit taller. She sat there thinking for a bit.
"Fine. But once you get back, I want to hear the what, how and when about this new skill." She walked out of the hug and made her way over to her room, coming back with a small hand full of bills. "Be quick."
Izuku ran off and thought about what kind of costume he could come up with, that worked off of casual clothes. He would rather look as casual as possible as a hero, due to Rots aggressive nature.
"You know I can hear your thoughts. Right?"
'Shut up!'
Izuku ran into the thrift store and looked around. He found a denim jacket with a white fleece inside, and what seemed to be fist with a spider in the middle of it. He liked the look of it so he grabbed that. He kept looking and found a pair of cargo pants, a torn up old scarf, and a pair of red shoes almost exactly like his own. He also grabbed a white shirt, just to go under his new jacket. Right when he was about to check out, he saw a pair of biker goggle sunglasses. He had just enough for all the clothes, so he bought them and ran home.
As soon as he got back, his mother was waiting for him. She stood there watching as he excitedly showed off his new clothes, and once he had laid them all out on the floor, he picked them up as Rot consumed them in his hands. Then once they were all gone, Izuku dawned his new costume. Although it was all in shades of green or black. It was the best Rot could do. He showed off his flashy outfit to his mom.
"Well that's great and all sweetie, but now how did Rot gain this ability?"
"Uhhh, Rot you're up!"
"Nope host. This is all you. I refuse to incur the wrath of mother."
"What did you do that would make me mad Izuku?"
"I kinda fought a villian…"
His mother had gained one trait from hanging out with Mitsuki Bakugo. Extreme reactions. She ran up and hugged Izuku, tightly. As she was running, Rot retreated back into the boy, knowing what was coming. She cried fountain muttering about how she was glad he was okay, and that he shouldn't be doing something so dangerous. She was sorta right, for now.
It was time. Izuku stood in front of the gates of U.A. He looked up at the intimidating gates for a few minutes before he started to walk forward. Then he was shoved out of the way.
"Get the hell out of here you damn extra."
"Ah yes, Bakugo being his normal dickish self. Glad to see somethings can never change."
Rots comment left a bad taste in Izuku's … Mind? He would figure it out later if the term should be mouth or mind but, it was time to walk into his, hopefully, future school! Till he felt his foot scuff against the edge of the sidewalk. 'Eh?!' Was going through both of their minds. They continued their plummet for about a second till they stopped moving entirely. 'Eh?!' Again the duo were confused. They hovered there for a second before a girl popped into the view of Izuku, and in turn Rot.
She had constantly blushing cheeks, a bright smile, and kind eyes. "Sorry about that! I know it was rude to use my quirk on you without asking, but I thought it would be worse luck to trip and fall right before the exam." She stated as she turned the two, one of them up.? Izuku would think about this one as well.
Author's Note:
Hey There! I know I disappeared for a while, but I'm moving around quite a bit, and getting into bad habits… Like sleeping for 16 hours. Anyway, just to let you that care know, the next chapter coming out with either be Generator Izuku or The One That Pissed Off Death. After those two It's Terror Deku, then to finish off the onslaught: My Leveling Hero Academia. Also sorry about the short chapter, but Present Mic seems like a good opener, especially with what I have planned.
