Third Event ( Not Really, Yet )

If people were to discover your very dangerous secret, even if it's just a theory, what would you do? Play the fool? Come up with some story? Beg them to keep the secret? Or tie up loose ends?

As of right now, Amidamaru was watching the event. But unknown to the spirit, two people were also hearing something they shouldn't.

"You've got it all wrong; that's not it! He's more like a mentor to me."

Todoroki was silent. "'That's not it,' huh? In other words, you have some connection with All Might beyond what you just said that you can't talk about, whatever that might be." Izuku flinched at how perceptive he was. "But, I'll figure that theory out later… You must know about my father, the Flame Hero Endeavor."

"Yes, he's the number two hero." As it wasn't an issue.

"My old man, the Number 2 hero Endeavor, will do anything to advance his position. He's been the Number 2 for as long as All Might's been Number 1, and he hates that more than anything."

"And because he knew he could never hack it by his power, he devised a plan." Todoroki then gripped his fist to the point it was shaking,

"What were you talking about Todoroki. What is it you're telling me exactly"Whatever it was Midoriya got a bad feeling?

But for the samurai, he doesn't like how it goes.

"Have you ever heard of 'Quirk Marriages'?" Todoroki asked in a dead tone.

This was the first time he heard this.

"After the phenomenon had started it came into the picture during the second and third generation. Some sought out potential mates solely to create powerful children. Many people were forced into marriages. They were simply viewed as old-fashioned arranged marriages, but clearly, it was unethical, not that it stopped any of it anytime soon. Even now, there were some cases of this occurring all across the world, but they aren't as publicized and often covered up."

Amidamaru frowned hearing this; it was no different than nobility marriages, in how people wanted to gain a pure bloodline. This happened a lot when a family was stuck on traditions, especially shaman families.

"As a man of means and merit… he easily integrated himself into my mother's family; all to take possession of her quirk." Todoroki's expression was ice cold with rage. It froze Izuku with shock and horror. "All he wanted was to slake his thirst and raise a hero to rise above All Might." Todoroki's face then shifted to anger. "Damm him…! I'll never, never be that piece of shit's tool!"

Izuku felt horror from what he was hearing. To think that Todoroki grew up in that kind of household was shocking, to say the least. Izuku then saw Todoroki put his hand over his scarred eye, making his breath hitch.

"Did... did Endeavor do that to you?" Izuku asked.

"In my memories, my mom is always crying… she told me my left side was ugly as she dumped boiling water on me." Todoroki's face turned blank as he looked to the ground and gently slide his hand down the burn.

Izuku could feel his heart stop when he heard this. So many things were going through his head as every word left Todoroki's mouth. He didn't know what to say. Even Amidamaru was horrified.

"The reason I'm aiming to beat not only you, but everyone is a personal triumph. I won't use my shitty old man's quirk… or rather… I'll become number one without needing to. That is my total disavowal of him." Todoroki lowered his hand and stared at Izuku with determination.

Once he was finished, Izuku had nothing to say at that moment. Hearing this it was like all of his aunt's previous lessons were coming back; Quirks truly were overrated, and don't make a person. To think those lessons were coming to the forefront.

He couldn't stay quiet any longer.

"I might understand what predicament you went through; my family, the Asakura, also sought out a strong bloodline," said the Shaman, feeling compelled to share such a secret.

With this information thrown into the loop, Todoroki was now silent. "For hundreds of years, our family would go to anyone with the capabilities to see spirits and communicate with them. My predecessors all would be engaged to lower branches that share this gift, while those who lacked it were isolated, exiled, and adopted as servants. It was a dark history my aunt told me.

"But in time, my ancestor Yoh Asakura changed their philosophy; it didn't matter if someone had a gift or not. As long as they could love and wanted to live happily with others, that was enough."

It could be said Todoroki was intrigued by the story.

"I can tell that's all you can say about that story." It was not in him to pry more about Midoriya's secret. "I'll win only using my right side; sorry I took your time," he said as the ice fire user turned around before walking away.

"Todoroki, wait!" He stopped for a bit. "When I was young I was bullied and looked down at for not having a Quirk. But it took fate and meeting someone important to me to learn that there is more to being a hero than having power. I want to save people with a smile, and I can't lose that for anything. There were too many factors playing into my growth this far, and giving up would be spitting in their faces. So I'm gonna take that declaration and echo it by beating you."

"…" Todoroki didn't say anything but resumed walking away. In his heart, he could see Izuku in a new light and wanted to talk with him beyond this. But right now, winning was the top priority.

Hiding from sight was Bakugo, listening to everything he said. Elsewhere was Kendo, also silent from the truth she discovered. It was something like this that made her want to praise him for not slicing up Monoma for his attack on him. But, this was his secret.

"Get those foam fingers in the air!" shouted Present Mic after returning to the commentator's box after finishing his lunch. "It's almost time for the last round! But before that: good news for everyone who didn't make the finals."

Down in the stadium below all of the students from every course returned to the field.

"Since this is a Sports Festival, we've prepared some super-fun side games everyone can participate in!"

Recreation Games was the title.

A group of cheerleaders wearing U.A.-themed orange outfits were performing on the sidelines.

"We even brought in cheerleaders from America to get your blood pumping!"

"Ah-" Aizawa notices something…peculiar.

"Hold up."

"What were they even doing?" questions Aizawa.

Many of the students were wondering the same thing, but not that many of the male population were complaining though. Most blushed as they awed at the view before them.

"Looks like Class 1-A is going full-on fan service!" shouted Present Mic.

"Even class 1-B also joined the fan service," was Eraserhead's sarcastic voice.

Sure enough, all the girls from Class 1-A and 1-B were wearing similarly designed cheerleader outfits. From the short frilly skirts, exposed midriffs, and even pom-poms to boot. But judging from their faces, it seems as if they were not expected to be humiliated as such.

Minoru Mineta and Denki Kaminari laughed and shared grins while admiring their handy work, including their partners in crime Kaibara Sen and Tsuburaba Kosei, as well as a distraught Tetsutetsu who just knew he was being fooled.

The plan was simple; both of them would talk to Izuku and have him introduce them to Class 1-B, which would be a sinch since he's friendly with them. Kaibara was the wrong place wrong time person and became their second, who approached Tetsutetsu telling them of a cheerleading contest. He took the bait, leading to this situation.

"What?! You tricked us?! Didn't you!" Momo was furious.

Why does this keep happening to me?!" cried Kendo. This was the second time she wore something embarrassing.

Flashback

During their lunch break, Mineta and his partner in crime, Kaminari decided to pull a little 'prank' on their classmates.

Kaminari, putting on his game face, addressed their targets."Yaoyorozu. Jiro."

Yaoyorozu and Kyoka Jiro turned to face Kaminari and Mineta while they held trays of food.

"Do you need something?" Yaoyorozu was oblivious to their intention.

Mineta spoke. "Well, I'm sure you already know since you're like a class rep." He then pointed to the opposite side of the cafeteria where a group of cheerleaders was happily skipping by. "But they said all the girls have to wear those uniforms for the big cheer battle this afternoon."

"Huh?!" Jiro is rightfully startled by the news as a light blush adorns her face.

"That's odd. This is the first I'm hearing about it. Are you sure?" Yaoyorozu gave him a questionable look.

"You don't have to believe me if you wanna get in trouble. But this is coming straight from Aizawa sensei." It's a good thing Mineta turned around otherwise his face would give away the deception.

Kaminari was nodding his head, trying to help sell the act.

"I thought maybe you'd forgotten, so I figured I'd remind you, just in case."

And it somehow worked!

At the same time, the trio who were aligned with the two perverts approached their student president who was eating as they approached her and said what they rehearsed, except Tetsu who believed the prank.

"Are you saying that Kan sensei told you that?" Kendo asked, a bit skeptical.

"Yes, it was a last-minute motion. Yaoyorozu from class 1-A can provide the costumes!"

So she complied with the request it wasn't sure being true but the other reason was her head wasn't in the game. Ever since hearing Todoroki's situation and Midoriya or Asakura's dark secret they were so many things in her mind.

"Why is that I always end up falling for the little pervert's stupid schemes? I even used my Quirk to make these outfits." Yaoyorozu fell to her knees in defeat and shame.

Ochaco squatted down, patting her friend's shoulder in comfort, debating whether she should explain to Yaoyorozu how naive she can be at times. She could only assume that being homeschooled all your life took away gaining these street smarts.

But how Jiro fell for it was a mystery.

Setsuna decided to tease Kendo. "You know class president, I never thought that you would fall for such a diabolical scheme that easily. You must really like this."

"The hell I do!"

Jiro threw down her pom-poms. "Ugh! I hate those guys!" She's trying to cover up her bare midriff, readying her jacks for the giggling perverts.

Toru was completely unbothered by the predicament. "Well, we do have a little time before the finals start, and I kinda like these uniforms, so…" She shook her body and waved her pom-poms up and down in succession. "How 'bout we just roll with it!"

"ARE YOU INSANE!?" cried a stunned Jiro.

"Wow, Toru. You've got the moves." Tsuyu stood admiring Hagakure's cheer moves.

"I always wanted to be a cheerleader for once!" Pony didn't mind at all. In America, cheering squads were very popular and only those who were skilled and talented could join.

"You know what? If you can't beat them join them." Kinoko also joined the cheering.

"Anyway, let's move on," at least that's what Present Mic tried to do.

A moment later the large monitor flashed for all to see.

"When that's over, the 16 from the four teams that made it to the final round will duke it out tournament style, one-on-one!"

Everyone then faced the monitor, waiting in anticipation on who would be fighting who.

"The last round is a tournament where we fight one-on-one, huh?" Kirishima said with excitement. "I'm gonna stand on the stage that I watch every year on TV!"

"Last year was a tournament too if I remember," Mina said while tilting her head.

"The system changes a bit each year, but typically there'll always be similar one on one competition," Sero explained.

" Last year using foam swords to fight event"

"Now," Midnight shouted as she brought up a yellow box. "Let's draw lots to determine the brackets. Once the bracket is determined, we'll have the recreational games and then start! The 16 finalists can choose whether or not they want to participate in the recreation, but I'm sure some of you want to rest or save your strength. Now for the first-place team…"

The teams went up one by one to collect lots. After a few minutes of doing so, eight fights were decided. Of course, no one noticed the tiny spirit inside the box tampering with the lots.

"This is the bracket based on the results of the drawing!" Midnight shouted while cracking her whip and the screen changed.

A Block

Midoriya Izuku vs. Shinso Hitoshi

Todoroki Shoto vs. Sero Hanta

Iida Tenya vs. Uraraka Ochako

Kirishima Eijiro vs. Hatsumei Mei

B Block

Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu vs. Ashido Mina

Shiozaki Ibara vs. Kaminari Denki

Yaoyorozu Momo vs. Tokoyami Fumikage

Kendo Itsuka vs. Bakugo Katsuki

Anna sat where she was with a smirk on her face. With how each player is placed, certain fighters would all have unfortunate disadvantages. If they wished to win, they'd have to overcome their limits without support items.

That's something she wanted to see.

Izuku blinked in surprise at who he'll be fighting. "Shinso? Don't I know that person?"

"You're Midoriya Izuku, correct?"

'It's this guy?' Izuku opened his mouth to speak until Ojiro quickly shut him up using his tail.

"Midoriya don't answer whatever he says." He glanced over to Ojiro. "I'll explain later?" he whispered.

Uraraka went over to Iida. "So Iida, it seems we're going to face each other so don't hold back."

"I expect the same from you too Uraraka. Just because we're friends doesn't mean I will hold back." Iida was ready to challenge the gravity girl.

"Are you Eijirou-san?" Mei approached the hardened user.

"Uh, yes?"

"Scoooooooore! I'm happy since actually…"

"Dang it! On the bright side, I'm facing 1-A, on the downside, it's a girl!" Tetsutetsu was both happy and distraught at the same time. Mina heard him too and took exception to it.

'We'll face each other faster than I anticipated, Midoriya. I'll defeat you myself,' thought Todoroki knowing they're going to face each other in the second round.

"…." Tokoyami was simply looking at Yaoyorozu.

"So I'm fighting against Tokoyami; this will be a challenge." The creation girl went into deep thought coming up with a plan.

"So, I'm fighting the vine hair girl…" Kaminari just stared at his opponent, grinning at how hot she was.

"…" Ibara remained stoic as it didn't matter.

Bakugo squinted his eyes at the board before clicking his teeth. "Huh? Side ponytail?" He grinned knowing he'll be facing her.

"So I'm facing him?" Itsuka didn't expect it, but she welcomed it. She wanted to knock him out just as much as anyone.

"And now, we will uphold the tournament for the moment and enjoy some fun recreational games!"

The recreation games started; almost every student that didn't make it to the tournament joined. The first being a scavenger hunt where people from the audience gave the students items to complete the tasks. Some were strange, such as Mineta having to find 'Back Fat' or Yanagi having to find a 'Perverse Person', though she passed easily grabbing a denying Monoma.

Some of the girls decided to perform cheerleading for stress relief.

Other students pushed giant balls to a goal.

The rest were running around having fun for a change.

Those in the tournament stood aside in preparation for the tournament. For example, Tokoyami was sleeping under a tree to maintain his strength. There were at least three individuals he needed maximum effort for. "Revelry in darkness…"

Iida downed sports drinks to recharge. Despite making it this far, he wished to have done better with a speed Quirk such as his. Not to mention with the declaration of Izuku as his rival, he must do better. For him, and to prove to his big brother that he can be a great hero like him. He was also massively worried after hearing his brother was on the trail of a villain. "For you, big brother."

Ibara was equipping herself with a support item. "Grandfather, I'm ready to use this." Her thoughts on the person she planned to use it against.

Kendo sat meditating as Midoriya did. Thanks to him she gained a habit of doing this to both relax and concentrate. With the roadblocks in her mind, and what she learned about Todoroki, she needed this. "Gaolong-sensei, I'll overcome the unexpected."

Todoroki was isolated, his mind pondering his long chat with Izuku, particularly the Asakura secret. Something about it told him he either had a very powerful Quirk with a backstory as his own, or his power was something far different. After that meeting with the Youkai and Yuki-onna, maybe the latter was the truth. "I'll figure it out."

Bakugo laid low thinking about what he heard. It just pissed him off, as memories of the lessons that bitch of an itako pickaxed into his brain from their first meeting.

Flashback

After Izuku came back home to Musutafu city after his vacation time in Asakura manor he learned about his heritage and wanted to learn to become a hero. But he had to keep a secret of the existence of Shamans. The boy required training first before he could become a shaman and obtained Amidamaru as his guardian, and he was still bullied by Bakugo and his cronies.

Until one day.

It was at the park as Izuku was hit by Katsuki's explosion, showing his superiority. At that moment, a woman watching intervened.

"What do you boys think you're doing!?"

Those who heard this quickly fled, except for Bakugo. He remained stouthearted.

"What do you want you old hag?" A tick mark emerged, but the woman kept her stoic smile.

"Someone decided to use their Quirk in public so I arrived."

"Oh, so grandma's going to tattle on me?" The tick grew larger.

Izuku immediately noticed, and said, "Kacchan, please apologize."

"Don't test my patience, brat," was her last warning.

"Oh, what can you do? I get it; it's because you're just an old lady who doesn't know what to do in her life." He pointed at her as he ranted. "I bet you have splits end and wear makeup to hide how-"

A nearby swing shattered, silencing him. Before he could get to how that happened, he blacked out.

XXX

When he came to he saw a familiar view surrounding him. It was his house, and that woman was talking to his parents in the lounge. Deku was there too.

"What the hell are you doing here!" he shouted.

"Now now Katsuki, be nice! We have guests here," spoke his mother.

"It's alright. I've just found your boy just passed out by accident; probably fell by himself."

"That was no accident! As if I could be knocked out that easily."

"Moving on so are we in agreement?" she asked the parents.

"What agreement?" Bakugo was confused.

"Katsuki, this is Anna Asakura the Ceo of Funbari Holdings. She is also Izuku's aunt." He turned to Deku, who nodded yes. "She suggested that you will be working part-time in Funbari Onsen Ryokan not far from here; she gave a proposition that would help with your discipline and attitude."

"What attitude? I'm just that good, hag!"

"You have not proven me otherwise." Mitsuki sighed before turning to sign a contract Anna held out. "You are now legally bonded to this four-week part-time disciplinary program."

"And, you get a coupon for three days and two nights stay at the Ryokan Inn Onsen," Anna added to the mother's delight.

"Oh, thank you! I can't believe Inko's sister was a former pro and an Asakura. There's a lot she didn't explain to me."

Bakugo, slack-jawed hearing this, couldn't do anything. Mitsuki and Masaru already agreed. His ass was hers.

Deku just sat quietly and trembling. He tried to warn him.

So every week after school, Bakugo would be working at the Funbari Onsen branch, cleaning and greeting guests he found beneath him with a smile.

He stood maintaining the traditional heritage of the Ryokan Onsen, one of Funbari's attractions.

The other humiliating things that happened involved a wager.

"If you can hit me three times, you're free," she once said. "But cause any collateral damage, and you have an extra week."

The living bomber jumped at the offer; she didn't even use her Quirk. But quickly he learned he was a frog at the bottom of a well. Each time she knocked him out in an instant. And he still caused damages, giving her free reign to beating the shit out of him.

No bruises were left either as a dip in the Onsen closed all wounds. Of course, the humiliation continued.

"Wait, what are you-" Bakugo fell face forward into a private room. Recovering, he found himself surrounded by sourly, drunken businessmen.

"Tend to them. And don't hurt any of them, or you're being extended a year." She left at that.

Another occasion as he was toss in the women's bath just for fun and humiliation as he was still just a kid the females pampered him and Bakugou was embarrass and shy at the same time. Being surrounded by the opposite sex.

Also, one day…

Bakugo opened a door to a bath for cleaning. There he saw Youkai spirits and human spirits, bathing like regular people. In reaction, he slammed the door shut and left.

"I think I'm getting beat up too much." That was his brain coping with what he just saw.

If he didn't get paid he'd call it a total waste of time.

From then on he would see Deku with his aunt from time to time, and the rest of the story was known.

XXX

Like the others, Izuku didn't participate in the recreational games. He was just sitting in Seiza under the tree with Harusame by his side. The shaman was meditating, concentrating on his opponents to be. His mind visualized them, especially Bakugo and Todoroki.

While in deep thought, a small leaf fell to the earth. Swiftly, Harusame cleaved the leaf-like paper before its master sheathed it as if nothing happened. His actions garnered an audience who clapped and cheered.

Even Toshinori watched, in awe of his successor's usage of swordsmanship. Despite him being his teacher, he felt as if he couldn't teach him much. His child-like qualities were overpowered by the maturity he often displayed.

That said, he still possessed One for All, and if he's mistaken, he had yet to use the Quirk. Eventually, he'd have to; the Quirk should activate at one point, and his destiny will awaken. But until then, he's just being a kid.

Also watching was Anna, her eyes on her precious nephew as he saw his meditation was a means to relax, recharge, and reorganize his strategy for the upcoming tournament. 'You've come a long way, Izuku. But it's too soon before you can use that sword.

Around this time, Cementoss finished building the platform for the tournament, the audience watching in anticipation.

"ARE YOU READY!?" screamed Present Mic, causing the entire stadium to erupt in applause after the recreational games.

"A lot's happened, but it's now come to this! A serious battle where you can only depend on yourself! Even if you're not a hero, you'll face lots of situations like this! You get it, right?"

Izuku stood by himself at the field entrance. The green hair teen was currently looking over Harusame. "This is it Amidamaru. You ready?"

"As always, Izuku-dono."

"Heart, Skill, Body, Wisdom, and Knowledge! Use all of that to rush up!"

"Hey!" Izuku blinked before he glanced back to see a familiar skeletal blond man. "Sorry I'm late, had to move around in real form. So, you ready Midoriya?"

"As I'll ever be. There is no going back now. I already used my Shaman abilities during the two events. We all know the world is watching, including those Shamans who would disapprove of me, but I need to keep moving forward." This was his declaration toward his mentor. "No matter who my opponent is."

"You seem to have things figured out." All Might spoke seriously, patting his shoulder. "The only advice I can give you is to be ready for anything. No plan always survives first contact with the enemy."

Izuku nodded at the words of wisdom before he heard a buzzer going off.

"It's time," Izuku said with a small sigh. "Wish me luck, All Might."

"Good luck Midoriya, and you too Amidamaru." He slowly changed into his muscle form and gave the young shaman a big grin. "You've made it this far against all odds. Now go out there and win with a big smile!"

Izuku could feel a smile grow on his face before he turned around with an air of confidence.

"Audience! The finals that you've all been waiting for are finally starting! The first match-"

Both Izuku and Shinso stepped into the roaring field as President Mic continued to speak.

"This samurai kid had not just overcome the first but also the second events! Can he be going for three?! The class President of the Hero Course, from Class 1-A, it's Izuku Midoriya!"

"Versus-"

"Sorry, you haven't done anything notable or eye-catching yet! Department of General Education Hitoshi Shinso!"

Both Izuku and Shinso made their way to the stone area and stood opposite each other.

"The rules are simple; force your opponent out of bounds, or immobilize them! You can also win by making your opponent say, 'I give up!' Don't worry about injuries, because we've got our very own Recovery Girl waiting on standby!" Said woman raised her hand for the attention.

"Put your morals and ethics aside for the moment! But of course, anything life-threatening is not allowed! Don't be screaming die either!"

"Oi!" Bakugo shouted.

"Heroes should only use their fists to catch villains!"

"I'll stop things if they go too far," Cementoss said as he sat in a concrete chair.

"'I give up,' huh?" Shinsou said with a grin on her face. "You get it, don't you, Midoriya Izuku? This is a battle to test your heart."

"READY!"

"And it's a bother that a hero needs some equipment to fight." Shinsou continued taunting the Shaman.

"SET!"

"That sword should be rusted or broken just like all the relics forgotten." That was the nail to the coffin.

That angered Midoriya. No one got away with insulting the symbol of Amidamaru and Mosuke friendship.

"START!"

Now you finally know why Bakugo is afraid of Anna as she is both her boss and tormenter at the same time. But that won't change that fact as Bakugo is still Bakugo. They are still more stories about Bakugou and Anna.

The Onsen is from Gintama anime episode 131, I wont spoil much is just the Ryokan is a place for spirit to relax.

The next match would be a fight between Midoriya and Shinsou you will find theirs is more with Shaman ability. And they were more secrets and will be revealed in the tournament.

I included 1-B in the prank and where's the fun in that as in the canon they didn't have so much screen time at all.

And Thank Bastion for Beta reading.
