Ready Fight Block A

When Midnight give the signal it was already started as Midoriya rushed towards Shinso in anger.

"Shut up! Don't you dare insult Harusame!" Izuku didn't take it lightly.

He stopped moving and his expression was blank. He looked like a puppet dangling from invisible strings. Shinsou had a small smirk before it went back to a frown. This was his plan all along.

"No! Midoriya I told you not to say anything!" Ojiro already explained to Midoriya about what happened to his team and about Shinso's quirk.

"Come on Deku." Ochako stood up.

"Why in the world isn't he moving?" Iida is concerned about the situation.

"Shinso's quirk must have done something to Midoriya!" Momo deduced seeing how her fiancé wasn't acting like himself.

"The fight has just begun, and Izuku Midoriya isn't moving an inch! He's gapping like a moron? Could this be a quirk at work? Hitoshi Shinso seems to have Izuku Midoriya completely stunned, Even though he hasn't made any impression at all until now. Could it be it's that scary?" Present Mic questioned.

"This is a perfect example of why the entrance exam isn't rational." Eraserhead pointed out

"Huh? Why's that?" Present Mic confused.

"Since we're on to the individual matches, I had some information compiled on our final competitors. Shinso failed the practical exam to get into the Hero Course. Since he also applied for General Studies, he probably figured that this would happen. His quirk is incredibly strong, but that entrance test consisted of fighting robots. It gave a huge advantage to those who had physical superpowers they could show off. Despite his physical abilities, Shinso never stood a chance at passing." Aizawa took a deep breath and sigh "But it doesn't mean that these students should EXPECT the unexpected should occur that not all times their quirks can work on certain villains or that they are facing robots or something else entirely." A lesson he learned from the queen.

And that comment even struck hard to the student's heart that try for the hero course but failed.

"It must be so nice to be blessed, Midoriya Izuku. Now turn around and walk straight towards the edge."

After that was said, Izuku slowly turned his back on Shinso and took a few steps away from him.

Present Mic yelled out. "AAAAH! Midoriya's obeying him!"

Izuku took another step away. "Oh no Deku, what are you doing?" Uraraka looks more concerned.

Another step away. "He can't walk out of the ring! He'll lose the match if he does." Iida added

"Midoriya, you can't lose like this" Momo gets worried.

"Come on Izuku! You can't lose right now not before we fight first." Itsuka didn't want her friend to lose like this.

"No Midoriya-shonen! Don't come this way "All Might was watching in fear from the shadows.

"Even with a quirk like this, I have my own dream of becoming a Hero. Now bow out for me."

Izuku was about to step out of bounds, only to then do the unexpected. He flipped somersaulting from behind gracefully, landing before doing some stretches and then break dancing. It was a very surprising, and annoying, act.

"This body is very flexible Izuku-dono." Amidamaru was inside Izuku's body doing stretches.

"I know," was Izuku's voice as he shivered from another memory of a muscular Russian women named Tuti massaging his body with enough force to bend pipes.

'And that's not counting the damn medieval stretching torture device she had. 'As she quote " It's good for customer's health and give information to my targets'.

Hitoshi was shocked. "No. Impossible. You're not supposed to be able to fight back! What did you do?!"

Amidamaru turns around with a sneer. "Sorry, Hitoshi-san, but Izuku-dono isn't in right now. Looks as if your Quirk had a side effect allowing our Hyo-Gattai the ability to take control like a Jiang-Shi."

"Don't call my body that." Izuku appeared as a spirit ball, green in color with his hair and freckles. "So this is what it's like..."

In the audience, the students slapped on their talismans to see their class representative as a ghost.

"I can't believe this," was Kaminari's thoughts.

Mineta screamed in fear: "Midoriya's dead?!"

"No, he's not! He's just letting someone else use his body!" Bakugo stated as if it was common.

"That's so creepy," Mina squealed not wanting something similar to happen.

"Could he do the same to us?" asked Shoji. Momo simply karate chopped his head.

"No honorable samurai would ever do that!"

"You got a point." Shoji rubbed his head.

Sato shook in revelation. "But they can still do that."

Over with Class 1-B, they had their reactions.

"So that's what Midoriya's spirits looked like," Ibara said with stoicism.

"It's cute," was Setsuna's response.

"It's freaky," said Shihai with interest.

"It's adorable and creepy!" squealed Komori.

"To think this is the second time we have seen spirits," said Tetsutetsu remembering the time when Midoriya was being introduced to the class.

Asakura Household...

The elder watched with interest. "What an interesting side effect on Fusion."

"Be prepared Shinso-san." Amidamaru was in a boxing stance and lunged at the teen, throwing a straight.

He barely dodged and decided to use his quirk again. "How'd you do that?!"

"Your Quirk only works on the living. I'm a spirit possessing his body, so your brainwashing doesn't affect me." Shinso took a blow to the face before his gut and elbow followed. "You said you wanted to be a hero that badly, but I see nothing special about you except for your Quirk."

"Shut up!" A fist connected to his cheek. "My Quirk doesn't work on everything! I've always been at a big disadvantage! But someone as blessed as you wouldn't get it!"

"Maybe so, but what you're born with is irrelevant to what you do with your life," said the spirit as he continued to fight. "I was born an orphan in a war-torn era and worked my way up to become a samurai."

"Then why are you here?!"

"Because I chose to! Like how I'm choosing to teach you a lesson!" Amidamaru changed his stance.

"Like what? How to beat down a downgraded-" A fist struck his jaw.

"Real heroes face unfair situations all the time and prepare for them! You can't rely on only your Quirk to win a fight! If you hadn't noticed, I'm winning just by punching you using a body that worked for it!" At that, Shinso had no defense. He was so confident in his Quirk it never occurred to him that he would be fighting robots.

"Dosukoi!" A sumo slap, an uppercut, a leg lariat, a right jab, a high kick: all of these Shinso felt from Amidamaru simply striking him.

He couldn't keep up. But he didn't feel like giving up. "Moving with what was left in his engine, he gripped Amidamaru's face and pushed with all of his force. "GET OUT OF THIS RING, YOU LUCKY BASTARD!"

"Judo throw!" Amidamaru flipped Shinso over his shoulders and threw him that easily, slamming him to the ground. He bounced a few inches, lying flat on his back. His feet touched the outside of the arena as a result.

Midnight called it out. "Shinso is out of bounds! Midoriya advances to the next match!"

The crowd cheered along with most of class 1-A, glad to see their classmate made it through.

"Ya! A bit of a no thrills battle to start, but clap your hands for these boys who fought so well!" Present Mic said through commentary.

Shinso got back up in defeat. The still possessing Amidamaru took a knee and spoke. "Shinso-san, why are you so interested in heroics?"

The boy quietly stared at nothing in the air. "… you can't help but long what you admire."

"Then you're a fool." He glared at the frowning spirit. "Just because you lost doesn't mean it's over. All that matters is that you keep trying."

The brainwasher gaped in awe at the wisdom of the samurai. That was when he heard his classmates.

"You were so cool out there Shinso!"

"We're proud of you!"

"You didn't tell us you were that good!"

"Yeah! You're the star of our General Education, kids!"

"I can't believe you put up such a great fight against the dude who's been getting first place in everything!"

Shinso was speechless as he heard one of his classmates praise him. Then came the voices of the pros.

"With a Quirk like that, it would be very simple to capture dangerous Villains."

"I wish I had that."

"I can't believe those UA idiots stuck him in General Studies."

"Well, there are a ton of applicants each year."

"Guess some people just slip through the cracks."

"If only he had more combat experience."

"Yeah, I bet he would have dominated."

"Shinzo, you hear that? They think you're incredible!" One of his classmates remarked.

Hitoshi Shinso didn't move a muscle. Those words and the support from both his class and Pro Heroes alike were exactly what he needed at that moment.

"Remember what you said; depending on the results, they might transfer people into the hero course. It's still possible…"

With the reminder from Amidamaru, Shinso smirked. "That's right. I'm not giving up; I'll get on the hero track and become a better pro than any of you."

"Not with your combat experience," was the samurai's statement.

Angered and motivated by that, Shinso got up. In truth, he needed to put his pride away to overcome those words. "Then I better get to work; I didn't come all this way to get lectured by a dead man and give up. I just need to find someone willing to push me."

"I know someone," spoke the samurai, rather peeved by that comment. "But the training you'll undergo will be nothing shorter than hell."

"Did he go through with it?"

"Yes, he did-"

"Then I should have no trouble," was his response, a smirk bearing teeth following.

Amidamaru got up. "Don't worry; she'll call you."

"Amidamaru," spoke Izuku in spirit form, "you do realize what she's going to do right?!"

"He asked for it," he replied, those four words having two different meanings. He then bowed.

"What beautiful sportsmanship!" Present Mic commented loudly.

Shinso glanced back to them. "Midoriya, Amidamaru, remember this; keep on your guard, or else someone is going to defeat you. Don't lose so pitifully after beating me."

He then left the stage. As he did, Amidamaru flew out as Izuku took back control. "That was strange. And I have so many questions."

"We'll worry about that later; we need to get ready for Todoroki's fight."

With that, Izuku left for Recovery Girl. He had a feeling she would want him to arrive.

There was a ten-minute time out between each match, giving people time to restock on food, use the restroom, and give the students time to walk from the bleachers or waiting rooms to the arena for their match if it was next.

Anna sat quietly while thinking about what she witnessed; the ability of Shinso's brainwashing only affected the human, but an outside soul was immune. It made Hyo-Gattai have the same effects as a ghost possessing a regular human on a Shaman, giving them full control until the original returned. 'Amidamaru had complete control over Izuku's body and Izuku became a Soul Ball… it must be because Izuku's body and soul are his own and Amidamaru was a different person. It's like an antibody.'

Maybe it could affect Jiang-Shi.

As Todoroki made his way to the arena, he turned a corner before coming to a stop. In the middle of the hallway stood a large man covered in flames while leaning against a wall.

It was Endeavor, the Number 2 Hero.

"Out of my way, old man."

"Your behavior has been nothing but disgraceful, Shoto. If you had used the power of your left side, you would have crushed both the Obstacle race and the Cavalry Battle," Endeavor said simply, his tone possessing gruffness as he glared at his son.

Todoroki continued to walk ignoring his words. "Your resistance is childish, tiresome even. If you put aside this rebellious stage you'll see it is your destiny to surpass All Might."

The boy's face twisted in anger. "You have to understand by now; you're not like your siblings! You are my greatest masterpiece!"

Todoroki stopped in his tracks as he gripped his fist. "Can't you ever say anything else you piece of shit matchstick?!" Todoroki asked in a low tone, his hair shading his eyes. "I will earn my victories using only my mom's power. And I will never, ever, use your power in any battle."

He pressed on, even as his father spat facts. "That may work for now, but soon enough you'll realize your limit and have no choice. Holding back won't get you to where you want, especially the circumstances of your body."

Todoroki knew what he meant as this body of his was starting to hinder. But he'd never admit it.

Midoriya arrived at where his Class 1-A were seated as they greeted him.

"Sorry to keep you waiting, folks! Next up for the second match, it's these two!"

Both Todoroki and Sero stood on the arena floor facing each other. Sero was currently stretching his body as he tried to chill, but still retained an air of somewhat nervousness. Todoroki on the other hand was completely still, his duel hair color covering his eyes which glared into the void.

"He's turned in an excellent performance to make it this far, and yet, what's with that plan Jane expression!? Does it ever come off!? From the Hero Course, it's Hanta Sero!"

"Really? At least give me a good title like Midoriya." Sero chuckled at Present Mic's obvious insult to his face.

"Versus! He who stands at the top! He who is way too damn strong! From the Hero Course, it's Shoto Todoroki!"

Everyone was silent staring at the arena waiting for the match to begin.

"Ready..."

"Well, I don't really feel like I can win..." Sero was no fool; his Quirk paled compared to Todoroki's, and he was greatly lacking in skill as well.

"Start!"

Still, his lightning-fast reflexes took hold as Sero sent the tape to quickly wrap around Todoroki. "But, I don't feel like losing either!" he yelled as he spun around to pull his tape and his opponent to the far end.

Todoroki slid across the ground but still managed to stay on his two feet. The whole time his blank expression didn't change; he didn't fight back either.

"A surprise attack aimed to push his opponent out of bounds! Don't you think that was the best choice for this situation?! Seriously, get him, Sero!"

"Sorry." It happened in a flash.

Ice shot from his legs, stopping Todoroki from moving and racing to Sero at the same time before he could react. In less than a second, the black-haired teen was enveloped in ice completely, only his chest and head exposed. The ice still grew, however, until it encompassed the top of the arena.

No one spoke a word. They were all too shocked at what they saw, at the amount of power this one child possessed. It was overkill, to say the least.

Midnight, half-frozen from being in the vicinity, spoke, "Sero, can you move?"

"O-Of course not..." Sero stuttered through the clacking of his teeth. "Ow..."

"Sero Hanta is unable to move! Todoroki advances to the second round!"

The crowd was still stunned over the power of Todoroki before they started to call out one by one.

"D-Don't worry about it..."

"It's all right...!"

"Don't mind!"

As the crowd called out the same sentence Todoroki made his way over to Sero.

"Sorry, I overdid it." Todoroki placed a hand over Sero's chest, and instantly, steam flowed out of the ice, melting it. "I was just a bit pissed off."

"A-A bit my ass..." Sero stuttered as the ice slowly melted away from his body.

"And so Todoroki advances to the next round!" Midnight announced officially.

Endeavor watched in silence as his son slowly melted the ice in the arena with his left side, being sure not to let the flame out of his body. The Pro-Hero wouldn't deny that his son was strong with his ice half, but if his rebellious son would use his fire half he would easily surpass All Might in just a few years.

A thought occurred to him as he remembers the Calvary Battle. It was a brief second, but his son had used his fireside for the first time since he entered UA.

"Perhaps he just needs a push…" He walked away. "Perhaps the Asakura brat is the answer. If he can somehow push Shoto to use his fire, then so be it. I'll just talk with this samurai wanabe."

"Now comes the third match-up!"

Everyone in 1-A already got over what happened between Todoroki and Sero; even though Endeavor's son had such shocking and traumatizing power, he still held delicate control thawing him. Soon, they focused on the fight between Uraraka Ochako and Tenya Iida.

As Present Mic spoke, the two students entered the arena.

"It's like he's the epitome of the middle of the pack! From the Hero Course, it's Tenya Iida!" Iida waved to the audience.

"Versus!"

"She's the one I'm rooting for! From the Hero Course, it's Ochako Uraraka!"

Both fighters stood before one another, ready to face each other.

"Are you ready Uraraka? I'm not going to hold back just because we're friends," said Iida with determination. If he could give that challenge to Midoriya, he had to do the same for his other friends. He wouldn't be able to surpass his brother by holding back.

Another thing is that Iida knew how Uraraka's quirk worked. All he had to do was avoid touching her fingers. But how?

"I'm ready Iida; give everything you got!" Despite her confidence, in truth, she was nervous. She spent time with her more heroic classmates and survived a villain attack, but she knew just how fast Iida was. Could she trap him? Especially when he had that technique?

"Ready… Start!"

Without wasting time, Iida screamed, "Torque Over Reciproburst!" His Quirk lit blue flames, granting him his most superior speed. Moving fast, he ran past her vision and appeared behind her. He then grabbed her back and pushed her with all of his might. She squealed at the rollercoaster feeling she was experiencing, until…

"Uraraka is out of bounds; the winner is Iida!" Midnight announced, literally seconds after the battle started.

Hearing this, Ochako gaped in shock. She lost before she could do a thing. It was devastating.

Iida watched as she walked off. He already knew why she wanted to get far in this tournament, but couldn't find the right words to display. Anything he did would only appear hypocritical. Everyone had their reasons for participation.

Izuku and Momo were in the infirmary room to check up on Ochako. There they find her being examined by Recovery Girl. Sure, there were none, but the old lady insisted.

"Deku, Yaoyorozu…" spoke Uraraka as Recovery Girl got up.

"I'll leave you three be," she said before leaving. The mood was easy to read.

Momo was the first to speak. "We were worried after seeing how distraught you were."

"Yeah." She stared at the floor in shame. "I couldn't do anything at all, but I don't blame Iida. It wouldn't have changed anything, whether I faced you two or Bakugo instead."

"We know," Izuku spoke coming closer. "Are you sure you're okay?"

"Yes, I'm fine." To add to her point, she forced a smile on.

They all knew she wasn't from the inside. Especially Amidamaru as he once again felt compelled to speak. "Uraraka-dono, it's okay. You do not have to force yourself to smile. Accept this feeling, and then work to improve yourself for next year."

*Buzz*Buzz*

Ochako looked down at her phone to see her dad was calling her. Both Momo and Izuku knew it was personal and decided to leave her.

"We better go; take care Uraraka."

"Thank you, Deku. I'll make it in time for the next match."

"Now it's time for the fourth match! We're going to keep rolling along! Rushing headlong toward the top!" As Present Mic spoke, two students entered the arena.

"A passionate, manly fighter made of rock. The Hero Course's Eijiro Kirishima!"

"Versus! Fully equipped with her support items she made herself! From the Support Course, it's Mei Hatsume!"

"Huh," Sato confused as he looked down at the arena.

"What is that?"

Everyone looked down to see not only Mei decked out in her gear and gadgets, but Kirishima as well.

"Kirishima's also fully equipped with support items!"

Midnight saw this and quickly stepped in, speaking, "It's generally against the rules for those in the hero course. Those who must use equipment need to petition beforehand."

"Ah, I forgot about that! Aoyama also wore a belt, so I thought it was okay!" Kirishima said, sweating a bit.

"He submitted a petition, as did Midoriya." Midnight reminded them.

Aoyama smiled while patting his belt while Izuku held Harusame and his gloves.

"I humbly apologize profusely!" Kirishima said with passion as he tighten his fist. "However, my heart was moved by my opponent's superb sportsmanship. Even though she is from the support course, she said she wanted an even match since she made it this far. She said she wanted to fight fairly, so, she gave me this equipment! I did not think I could ignore her manliness."

"I'm a girl you know," was Hatsumei reply.

"… womanliness!"

" Is that even a word?"

"Ah, youth!" Midnight huffed while wiggling her body in what seemed like ecstasy. "I'll allow it!"

"Is it okay?" Yamada turned to his coworker

"Well, if they both agree on it, then it's within regulation... I guess?" As he sighed, Aizawa just went with it.

"Well, since permission's been granted, let's start the fourth match!"

"Ready..."

"Start!"

With that Kirishima ran straight at Mei with no hesitation, not even activating his quirk yet. Mei on the other hand didn't seem to move; she stood her ground with no worry and instead had a smile on her face. After a moment she spoke, and everyone could hear.

"Isn't that acceleration wonderful, Kirishima?" Mei's voice was heard thought the entire stadium through the speakers, much to everyone's confusion.

"A mic?" Kirishima said in confusion but didn't stop running forcing his body to harden.

"Why is she wearing speakers?"

"Don't your legs feel lighter than usual?" Mei said with a look of pride on her face. "That's only to be expected! Those leg parts are helping the wearer's movements along!" The pink-haired girl explained.

Kirishima closed in on her, his face completely serious as he readied himself to push her out of bounds.

"And I," a long metal pole shot out of her backpack, moving her into the air and out of his path. Once Mei was in the air another pole shot out and kept in the air as he tripped over it, "can evade easily with my hydraulic attachments!"

Mei's eyes turned not at her opponent, but the audience of the stadium. Using her quirk, she zoomed in on some figures who were talking amongst themselves, clearly interested in her inventions. Even a certain queen was impressed, as the girl held passion, conviction, and eccentricity.

From the student's stands, everyone was baffled and confused about the fight. It stopped being a fight and became more like a commercial. Not even the Shaman and Yokai community could get behind this. It was an interesting year for UA.

"HA HA HA! Now that's something we don't see every day!" The head of the Nura clan laughed.

Back to action, Kirishima got back on his feet as he ran for Mei while her back was turned to him. However, Mei's backpack beeped before another metal pole shot out and moved the inventor out of the way again. Metal poles tripped him as she said, "Since I've got sensors in every direction, I can even deal with attacks from behind!"

Kirishima skipped across the ground and looked ready to fall. However, the device on his back released a strong stream of air that managed to keep him on his feet. A look of frustration crossed the harden user's face as he ran at Mei. "Where's the fighting spirit?!"

"Kirishima changed course adeptly! It's thanks to the auto-balancer that I made!" Mei said happily.

"… What is this?"

"The leg parts detect the wearer's brainwaves to predict their movements, so there's no need to worry about the leg!" Kirishima once again tried to catch Mei, only to trip once again, leaving the girl completely unharmed. "The auto-balancer is equipped with a 32-axis gyro sensor!"

Much to everyone's shock, just as it looked like Kirishima was about to fall out of the ring, the balancer on his back managed to spin him around at the last minute, keeping him in the match.

The next 10 minutes were filled with Mei using Kirishima as her guinea pig to show off her inventions, and the poor guy couldn't catch her no matter what. Even if he tried to break the support item he can't as the pink-haired girl made Kirishima promise not to break her support item and as a man of his words he cannot break his own words it is unmanly.

Once she was done, she calmly stepped out of the ring, a look of pride and satisfaction on her face, as if she had accomplished something worthwhile.

"I've presented each and every last one of them. I have nothing left to say," Mei said with a smile on her face as she wiped the sweat from her forehead.

Back at the arena Midnight raised her hand with some hesitation. "H-Hatsume is out of bounds. Kirishima advances to the second round!"

"YOU TRICKED ME!" he shouted with mixed emotions at the inventor.

Mei's only response was to look away and say, "I'm sorry. I used you," without even sounding remotely sorry in the least.

"This doesn't feel like a victory at all!" Kirishima shouted in frustration, tears flowing as he wanted to show his manliness in the tournament. Before this he was already boring; now he felt like a joke.

Everyone in 1-A and 1-B got ready to see the block B section of the tournament. It was time to see how good 1-B was, especially Kendo.

"The tournament is going to get tougher than this."

"I agree." Those who knew Kendo's skill and quirk were aware she's no pushover.

Kaminari shook himself to get ready for his fight.

Shoto didn't care. He just wanted to fight Midoriya

Said Shaman kid was also stern knowing he's going to face Todoroki in the next round.

Thus this is the end of the A block the next chapter would be the B block. Kirishima can be as gullible as Iida and why not, also the fight between Kirishima and Tetsutetsu seems boring and uninterested it's like two shields facing each other.

And since Shinso mind control didn't effect Izuku as such their was no need for One for all to help him during danger.

Those who watched Amphibia would know who Tuti is. And decided to make her a cameo it was funny seeing how Ann was massage by Tuti.
