Ready Fight Block B
"Alright, everybody! It's time to get this next match rolling! Now for the fifth match!"
"Not so loud..."
"Now for the next fighter!"
As soon as Present Mic finished talking both Tetsutetsu and Mina walked into the arena. Both fighters had a big confident grin on their face.
"Manly and passionate steel! From the Hero Course, it's Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu!"
"Oh come on; that's basically the same as Kirishima!" He didn't like to be compared with someone else, especially someone from class 1-A.
"Versus-"
"Is something going to come out of those horns? Well? Cause she's rocking them! From the Hero Course, it's Mina Ashido!"
"Get ready to lose!" Mina said, her voice oozing with confidence.
"Good luck with that 1-A. I'm going to win this." As he clubbed both his fist.
"Mina, good luck." Tsuyu said from the stands.
"Go, Tetsutetsu!"
"Win this for class 1-A!" Kendo yelled.
"Show them what we can do!" Monoma shouted as it was finally time for class 1-B to show their Quirks and skills to the world.
XXX
Both fighters were at the ready waiting for the go from midnight.
Tetsutetsu remembered that her Quirk was acid so he didn't have to worry a thing as his body could take the burn. And as a man, he would never hit her so he could just push her out of bounds.
For Mina, she could tell that Tetsutetsu was a complete copy of Kirishima, especially in personality. Mina realized that if that was true, that means predictability. Thus she's going to use this advantage.
"Ready? Start!" Tetsutetsu rushed in, his Quirk transforming him into real steel.
Mina wasted no time using her acid to skate across the concrete floor, dodging Tetsutetsu's hands. Each attempt for her was avoided. He even leaped for her in a tackle, but pinky was too agile for him.
"Stand still, already!"
"Make me, slow-mo!"
The chase continued with similar results all around. He reached for her, and she kept dodging; Mina even danced a bit just for the hell of it. After a bit, she finally swapped to the offensive throwing acid at him. Tetsutetsu rose his arms to block, her viscous bodily fluids sticking to him and swiftly eating at his armor. Smoke came out revealing a healthy pink skin on the surface for all to see.
"You can do better than that!" Tetsutetsu took a deep breath, repairing himself.
"Oh looked it seems Ashido gone on the offense but Tetsutetsu Quirks seems unstoppable!" Present Mic looked impressed.
"A good strategy using hit and run tactics against a stronger opponent."
"Yeah, but can you keep up?" Mina sent more acid, keeping Tetsutetsu on the defense.
Like before, this was a slow repeat. But now, someone was angry. "I'm angry now!" Tetsutetsu roared as he ran full speed. Mina simply did a breakdance splattering acid everywhere in his direction.
XXX
"This won't do. Tetsutetsu can't keep that Quirk up for long, and acid girl will just keep burning at his iron," Kendo realized watching the bout.
"Damn it, Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu! Just ram into her!" Monoma shouted, burning at the thought of his class losing again.
"Because he's a man," Shishida spoke, giving his opinion based on what he knew of Tetsutetsu.
Anna huffed knowing the boy code of honor. That whole chivalry act went away a long time ago, and there was no place for it in heroics. It certainly wasn't helping here.
"Mina's dominating!" Jirou cheered with a smile.
"Of all the people Ashido was fighting against, it was a boy…" Mineta growled, eyes bleeding at the lack of fan service. He couldn't even get a good look at her cheeks.
"OF course, you would want that," she muttered, ready to stab him.
"Don't get cocky," Amidamaru interjected again for another round of his self-righteous two cents. "It's not over until it's over."
XXX
That said, Tetsutetsu was getting metal fatigue. He couldn't keep this up, and his wobbly body was proof. 'Crap. I'm losing consciousness, but I can't give up yet.' He gritted his teeth.
"So, are you ready to give up?" Mina threw both her hands at her waist in confidence.
"Never! A real man never gives up!" In what would be his final gamble, Tetsutetsu dashed at the acid user.
"So easy." Mina slipped to the side uncaringly. Of course, after numerous failures, he's grown accustomed to her patterns. Changing his movement with a bump in speed, he quickly grabbed her waist. "What?!"
"Ooh! Didn't see that coming! Can Ashido escape?!"
"Let go of me you pervert!" Mina shouted as he lifted her in a fireman carry and ran towards the end of the arena.
"Tetsu come on you can do it!" Setsuna cheered!
" Yes, just a little more. This is Class 1-B's first win." Monoma screamed, blood coming from his eyes with how wide they've become.
"As if I'd let you!" Coming up with a plan, Mina released more of her acid, burning away at Tetsutetsu. She also slapped him.
As Mina produce more acid on her body trying to stop the steel Quirk user but it didn't matter as he could feel his skin burning from the acid" "ORYAAAH!"
"Tetsutetsu is almost near the edge! Can he throw Ashido out of bounds?!" Present Mic was getting excited. The crowd shouted with anticipation as to who's going to win.
But then a sound buff was heard as Tetsutetsu collapsed on the floor inches away from where he could throw Ashido out of bounds.
"Eh?"
Midnight quickly came towards the duo and already decided who was the winner. "Tetsutetsu is unconscious; the winner is Ashido Mina."
"Talk about being lucky at the last moment," Eraserhead commented with a sigh.
Mina was now with her classmate sitting down from her fight and treatment.
"You almost lost by a few inches," Tsuyu stated bluntly.
"Don't remind me." She sighed taking her seat.
"Still won," Jiro muttered.
Izuku kept his mouth shut as Mina came up. "Class 1-B is filled with strong fighters. We shouldn't underestimate them at all."
After Recovery Girl's treatment, Tetsutetsu returned to his friends with an apology. "Sorry guys. I should have eaten more iron this morning."
"It's alright. Stop bowing," said Kendo to the steel user as he rose. "We've already shown how strong class 1-B is. The rest of us will pick up the slack."
Setsuna glanced over at her class president. "Nice speech, prez. Did you practice that?"
"No, but a certain samurai thought of me," she replied, remembering his wisdom and stories.
Shiozaki glanced forward with a solemn face. "It seems it's going to be my turn."
"Give him hell, Shiozaki!" She glared back at Monoma for saying that. "… right, sorry."
"We're moving on to the next match!" The ceremonial fire burned as the two next fighters entered. "She is the assassin from Class B; pretty things have thorns, you know! The hero course's Ibara Shiozaki!
"Versus-"
"The Sparkling Killing Boy! The hero course's Denki Kaminari!"
The crowd roared as the two students faced off against one another. Kaminari had a confident grin on his face while Shiozaki looked upset. "Now, we'll have a super flashy battle this time too-"
"Um..." Present Mic was cut off when Shiozaki raised her hand while facing the announcer booth. "Please excuse the interruption, but what do you mean by 'assassin'? I have only come to find victory, not to take my opponent's life." Shiozaki's voice was in a calm tone, but everyone could tell she was a little upset.
"I-I'm sorry!"
"In the first place, I wished to enter UA High School, not for wicked reasons, but the salvation of others…" Shiozaki said while praying as a bright light shone down from above.
"I said, I'm sorry!"
"Is this chick serious?" Bakugo muttered.
"It's not surprising," Momo said with a shrug. "This is a debut for a lot of people, and no one wants to be given a bad name." Sero slumped remembering his title.
"So no one's going to ask where is the light coming from?" Ochako asked while looking in the sky.
"That's Shiozaki for you; always with her faith," this was Manga looking at her with awe.
"Don't you find it strange that her right arm has some kind of gadget that we have never seen before?" Komori asked noticing it.
"Now that you mention it, I have never seen it before either," spoke Setsuna curiously.
"I thank you for your understanding." Shiozaki said with a bow.
Kaminari sweat-dropped at the girl's personality. "Class 1-B has people like this too, huh? She's got big eyes and a pretty face, but it looks like she's really strong." He checked her over again, his face turning red. 'Oh damn, she's cute! I'm gonna go for it."
After Shiozaki returned to her place Present Mic spoke.
"A-Anyway, start!"
Kaminari grinned as he lowed his body a bit. "When this is over, wanna grab a bite to eat? I'll comfort you if you'll have me. Cause this match will probably be over in a second!" Electro grinned in a cocky tone, making Shiozaki blink. Of course, she gave a click with her tongue that nobody heard.
Kaminari built up his energy a bit, and in an instant, golden sparks of electricity covered his body.
"Indiscriminate Shock –1.3 Million Volts!"
Kaminari threw his hands down and released a giant shockwave of electricity across the ground. Unfazed, Shiozaki turned her back to the oncoming attack. That was when the green vines from her headshot into the ground before separating. The vines then grew into a makeshift wall, shielding her against the incoming lightning storm.
"What?!" Sato was shocked and confused.
"Isn't that like our defense during the Cavalry Battle?" Amidamaru said to Izuku, in awe at her creativity.
"No wonder she placed fourth," muttered the Shaman, his old habit returns.
The others listened for a bit before Jirou finally spoke up. "Midoriya, slow it down."
"Sorry. Force of habit. Her vines can't conduct electricity, meaning Kaminari's electricity is useless against her."
"So, it's similar to your earth wall during the Calvary battle," spoke Tokoyami as he remembered that attack saved them.
"Yes, and since Kaminari went all out with no hesitation…" Everyone just looked at the stage knowing what's going to happen.
When Kaminari's attack started to die down his face became slack and dumb. A moment later the ground in the arena broke apart before several vines shot out of the ground, wrapping around Kaminari and hosting him in the air like a pinata. Even as the blond let out his last bit of electricity it was completely useless against Shiozaki's vines.
"He was right; it was decided in an instant!"
"Shiozaki advances to the second round!" Midnight called, making the crowd roar once again.
Shiozaki frowned as she put her hands together. "I didn't even need to use this equipment against you."
"Alright! Good job, Shiozaki!" Tetsutestsu called from the booth next to Class 1-A, thrilled that someone finally beat class 1-A.
"You did it!" Pony said in English as she cheered.
"This is going to be hard." Ojiro started to sweat seeing how the tournament was tough, and he doubted he could win facing someone like her or Todoroki.
"What's that? Didn't he say he'd settle this in a second? I guess he misworded it. But Class A is supposed to be better than Class B, so isn't that weird? Hahaha!" Everyone turned to the side to see a somewhat familiar blond poked his head out from Class 1-B side with a smug look on his face.
"Oh, it was Monoma," spoke Izuku.
"And you're the samurai with the ghost!"
"Wait you know him?" Kirishima asked.
"Uh-huh."
"Hold up…" Mineta glared at him. "You know all of them…"
"Yes-"
"And knowing you, you probably knew their Quirks, right?!" Mineta asked more angrily now.
"… yes."
"Then why didn't you tell everyone about their Quirks?! Were you holding out on us?!"
"That would be an unfair advantage if they don't know of ours but we know of theirs. Plus, I promised Itsuka."
"But you told them of us?!"
"No!" That pacified him.
Iida even added, "When you put it that way, it would indeed sound like cheating."
"HAHAHA! Even if you knew our Quirks we still-" Suddenly the blond was cut off when Kendo came up from behind and chopped him in the neck.
With him out cold, the other class president poked her head out and smiled at everyone. "Sorry about that! We've got a blond jerk in our midst," she said, everyone in class 1-A giving her a strange look as Kendo pulled back.
"So do we!" Izuku said back, knowing just how she felt.
"You keep this up, he's going to have a steel neck," spoke Amidamaru almost jokingly.
"He needs it more than me. Also, congratulations Izuku for your first win!" she told them, her eyes to Izuku now. "Make sure you keep winning so we fight in the finals!"
She then left, dragging the blond dead weight with her.
"Thank you, Itsuka," Izuku spoke while waving.
"We're reaching almost the end of the first round folks! So let's go!"
"All-purpose Creation! She was admitted through recommendations, so her abilities are certified! From the Hero Course, it's Momo Yaoyorozu!"
Momo stood stern and disciplined. There were many reasons she needed to win here and now: she was being watched by Anna; she needed to become as strong as the Itako; she needed to prove herself a proper hero for all watching her; and, she needed to become a strong woman who could stand beside her fiancé.
"Versus-"
"Offense and Defense in one body! The dark samurai accompanied by Dark Shadow! From the Hero Course, it's Fumikage Tokoyami!
Tokoyami stood tall, thinking about the Creation Quirk. If she suspected his weakness, he needed to end this as soon as possible.
"How do you think this one will end? Any clue?" Mashirao asked his class president.
"Timing is going to be the key thing here," Midoriya explained.
"Oh, how so?"
"Just like the fight with Iida and Uraraka, it's all about who can make the first strike. For someone who makes anything out of thin air, Tokoyami just needs to overwhelm them, and for Yaoyorozu she just needs to make them faster than he can strike. In other words, if Tokoyami summons Dark Shadow and attacks relentlessly, then he'll win before she can even fight back."
"Sixth match, begin now!" Present Mic announced.
Tokoyami instantly called out Dark Shadow and began his attack. Momo was quick enough to make a shield and block the attack, but it pushed her back a bit. She tried to make a weapon, but Dark Shadow circled quickly and struck the shield again, pushing her back even more and making her lose focus, stopping her from making anything.
"Dark Shadow, continue the assault!"
"Aye Sir!"
'I can't think!' Momo thought as she kept blocking.
The assault didn't stop, as Dark Shadow came back for another strike, this time knocking away the shield. It went in for another beak jab, but Yaoyorozu managed to just barely make another shield to absorb the blow. It forced her back even more.
The attack continued as she could feel her legs getting pushed back by the assault. She just needed one small opening to strike that's all.
The attacks ceased, and Momo noticed this, as she then created a metal rod to counterattack.
"Yaoyorozu." Midnight called her attention. "You're out of bounds!"
Momo then noticed that her foot was out of bounds, just what Tokoyami wanted. "This match goes to Tokoyami Fumikage!" He retracted Dark Shadow and then respectfully bowed at Momo, before walking away.
Momo was frozen in the arena as she was defeated that fast. 'Before I could even do anything…'
Present Mic commentated. "Yikes! Another fast overwhelming victory! Is it possible that Tokoyami's Dark Shadow is the greatest Quirk ever? I think so!"
While the crowd was cheering, Yaoyorozu looked ashamed.
Izuku saw how distraught she looked; it reminded him so much of himself when he discovered he was Quirkless. With ten minutes until the next match, there was something he had to do. 'She might want me away, but… that's not my thing.'
Standing up, he said, "I'll be back in a bit everyone."
"Where are you going?" Iida asked.
"I want to check on Yaoyorozu, to make sure she's feeling okay."
"I'll come with you," Jiro said as she stood up.
"No, it's fine. I should be enough, and it won't take long. We'll be back together."
An earphone jack rose to his face threateningly. "You better not make her cry."
"I-I won't!" He then walked off. As he got up, he noted Amidamaru wasn't moving. "You're gonna stay here?"
"As you said, you will be enough." He then gave a thumbs up, like the perfect wingman.
As Izuku left, Iida gave an intriguing stare. Why was Midoriya so fine with going to see Yaoyorozu by himself? Thinking about it, he did recall a suspicious rumor his brother mentioned one time about the Yaoyorozu and Asakura. Was that real?
XXXX
Izuku arrived at the dark hallway where his fiancé was sitting, in the fetal position still distraught because of the match. Sighing, he sat next to her. "Momo-chan, are you okay?"
Hearing his voice, she grew more upset before replying, "Define okay."
"I'm sorry. I suck at talking to people."
"It's… you don't understand, Izu-Kun," Momo said, her eyes growing tears. "I'm a recommended student, so I always thought that my connections got me here. I really wanted to take the exam like all of you. Todoroki easily did so, and this was my chance to prove that I was worthy of being a hero."
More tears came out as she sobbed. "Anna-sama was someone I looked up to, and I wanted to achieve some manner of respect from her! But I failed! I don't even think I'm worthy of fighting next to you!"
Hearing this, Izuku felt like a prick with what he said. These were almost the same circumstances for him. Is he worthy of carrying the Asakura name? Is he worthy of carrying All Might's legacy? If anything, her situation was harder; he could never be All Might, but there was a chance she could be better than what she wanted.
He just hoped he didn't ruin this.
"Momo, I know what it's like to be this down and distraught." She lessened a little. "That feeling where you failed, you feel like you can't get back up, that everyone looks at you differently. I know exactly what it felt like to feel unworthy. But, you're not a failure."
He noticed her loosen a little, but it's not enough. 'Come on, Izuku, be a man! Not a Deku!' He then moved in to hug her, his action catching her off guard.
His head become a tomato as he held her. "I still believe in you, that you can become a hero. Not just any, but one of the greatest. You can surpass Tokoyami one day, others, even Anna. Even me."
She placed a hand onto his. "Do you really have that much faith in me?"
"No, I KNOW you can do it," he replied. "Faith is for something intangible; your awesomeness is real."
Her face became flushed, her heart fluttering. "And you think I can be worthy of being at your side?"
"That's something only you can decide. But if you want my personal opinion, yes."
Momo came out of her position, turning around to hug him. "Thank you!"
After a bit of time, because he needed time to calm down too and she wouldn't let go of him, Momo and Izuku came back to the stands. The girls consoled Momo, letting her know that anyone else she could have beaten.
"Thank you, everyone. I'm all right; we should see how the match goes." She gave a bow as she turned to the battle down below.
"This going to be a tough match," Tokoyami said knowing who was in it.
"Now it's time for the eighth match of the day."
"He's got the face only a mother could love! From middle school to now he faces villains! From the Hero Course, it's Katsuki Bakugo!"
"Versus-"
"Don't let this girl's looks fool you, because she'll easily knock you across the park with her martial arts skills! The Class President of the Hero Course, from Class 1-B, it's Itsuka Kendo!"
"I'm so going to enjoy this Side Pony Tail!"
"What's that?! I can't hear you over your ego!" she countered.
An anger tic formed. "Bitch wants to die, huh?!"
"I'm gonna need to pull that tongue out."
" All right , save it for the fight." Midnight said, finding this not even arousing in the least. This was just gonna be blood.
Itsuka was thinking about how to get near Bakugo. knowing him he won't let her get near her using his explosion.
Bakugo thought about how he needed to avoid those hands. How would this end?
"Ready!
Start!"
Bakugo made the first move firing his explosions toward Itsuka. She tried to dodge the attack by running, but it still hit her. 'I can't let him keep blowing me up or they'll get stronger. And if I back away, I'll just get closer to the edge.'
Crossing her arms for a guard, she rushed in a beeline for Bakugo. The exploding teen saw this and grinned. He shot out more at her like a Gatling gun trying to shred its target, each shot tearing at her clothes, much to Mineta's joy.
"Jab!" Jirou took his eyes out.
Even as she got closer, he could predict what she was thinking. "Nice try, side ponytail!" He stopped before jumping back to avoid her fist. But then the other fist came in forming a flick motion. In an instant, her fist grew as she flicked him, the sudden growth being enough to close the distance and send him flying a few feet.
"The fuck?!"
"I've been practicing how to use my Quirk. I can change them that fast and they're as strong as a missile." Her mind recalled how Gaolong toughened her teaching her other ways of combat. It was embarrassing that she never thought to do more than punch and chop.
XXX
Class 1-B was shocked seeing their class president using skills they've never seen before.
"Wow, I didn't expect Kendo would use her big hands to flick her opponent," said Setsuna impressed.
"Or that she could change her Quirk that fast. It's like that very old anime I saw once."
"Which one?"
"I think it's called bottoms or something…" Tetsutetsu was trying to remember.
"She must have been hanging around Midoriya too often." Yosetsu gave his opinion.
"They were childhood friends sorta," Yui said, causing the metal boy to growl.
"Tetsu, did you just growl?" Jurota heard that.
"No, it was my stomach."
Xxx
"I won't be caught off guard like spiky ponytail!"
Bakugo then changed his tactics, rapidly firing his Quirk to rob Kendo of openings. She kept on guard trying to run in. She kept taking damage, her clothes and arms more burnt each time.
Pro heroes watching became displeased. Not many could stomach this brutal one-sided fight going on. Some even spoke up.
"Hey, shouldn't you stop this?!"
"He going too far!"
"She's going to be seriously hurt later on if you don't stop this!"
"I can't watch this…" One hero got up and spoke. "Hey! How can you say you want to be a hero like that!? If there's such a huge difference in your abilities, then hurry up and send her out of bounds!"
Despite the hero's words, the fight continued as if he said nothing. Yet with that hero's comment, more heroes started to join in on the protest.
"Stop bullying the poor girl!"
"Yeah! Yeah!
"You call yourself a hero!?"
"There's booing from part of the crowd. But honestly, I feel the same-" Present Mic was cut off with a cry of pain. "An elbow!? What're ya doing!?"
Eraserhead said nothing as he grabbed the mic with his hand."Was that a Pro saying he's playing around?" Eraserhead asked in a serious tone as the stadium became quiet.
"How many years have you been a pro?" He didn't wait for an answer. "If you're saying that with a straight face, go home and look into changing careers, you failure!"
Everyone in the stadium was stunned at the brutal words from the hero, even his students. Yet he wasn't finished yet.
"Bakugo is being relentless because he's acknowledged the strength of his opponent who has made it this far! It's because he's doing everything he can to win that he can't go easy on her or let his guard down. And don't pity this young woman who, despite taking several explosions and damage, is still standing on her feet and fighting her hardest to win. Both are showing what it means to go Plus Ultra!"
Once Eraserhead finished speaking everyone in the stadium was stunned by his words, clearly seeing the fight in a new light. It didn't mean they liked it.
XXX
Bakugo had ignored the whole booing and speech as he kept his eyes on Kendo, who was still standing on her feet.
"Not yet… She's still alive…" Bakugo said in a low tone.
Soon he stopped, his left hand strained. That was the chance she needed as she shrunk her fists dashing for the blond nuke. He noticed and immediately used his other hand to fire, hitting Kendo in the face. But she pressed on undeterred, throwing a punch with her big hands.
Bakugo dipped to the left, stunned only when he felt something in his ribs. As he flew a foot in the air, he saw what happened; she kicked him.
"The fist, the knee, the elbow, the head; a true warrior uses every limb, like an octopus that plays the drums," Kendo said as she flexed her leg.
"Damn bitch! How is this using your Quirk?!"
"Women always have their secrets." That pissed him off even more. Although his ribs were fractured, he was furious red.
This led to a dash attack aiming at her face. Dodging, she still felt the intense heat and used her hands to parry avoiding the explosion. Her hands grew again, forcing Bakugo to leap back avoiding him. But this time came a surprise; she clapped her hands.
The sound of the thunderclap was loud enough to ring within his ears and the audience. Dazed, Bakugo tried to fire in her direction, but by now she's already used to his explosions and moves in. Eyes shining with rage, she violently punched him everywhere. Gut, face, shoulder, ribs, abs, even his thighs and neck; she struck everything screaming, "ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA!" It could be said she release all her stress and frustration on him.
At the end of her consecutive punches, she found Bakugo still standing. She went behind him, gripped his waist, and performed a "German Suplex!", crushing him headfirst into the ground.
Huffing, the girl sighed and dusted her hands. Midnight came over and spotted Bakugo getting back up. "… what the hell?"
But a few seconds passed, and Bakugo didn't move. He was just standing like a statue. Coming over, Midnight got a closer look to see Bakugo was unconscious. "Bakugo is unable to battle; the winner is Itsuka Kendo!"
The crowd applauded that Kendo won.
"The eighth match of the first round has Kendo advancing to the second round."
"I admit the boy was tenacious."
"More like a rabid beast!"
"The first round is all done! Let's move on to the next round quickly after a short break! But for those who haven't been paying attention, here's who's fighting whos!"
Second Round
Midoryia Izuku vs. Todoroki Shoto
Iida Tenya vs. Kirishima Eijiro
Ashido Mina vs. Shiozaki Ibara
Tokoyami Fumikage vs. Kendo Itsuka
"Get ready everyone, because after the break we're going to keep this party going!"
Everyone in class 1-A was shocked that Bakugo fainted while standing; it was a bright showing of how tenacious he was during the fight. He wouldn't go down that easily.
"I'm, amazed that Bakubro was able to keep standing. I mean that's manly in my book."
"He didn't hold back at all against Kendo at all… scum bag," Jirou muttered as the mad bomber aim at Kendo face.
"Indeed. It did seem lowly, even by a samurai's standard…" This was Amidamaru's honest opinion.
"Oh, come on, guys. Wouldn't it have been worse if he lost while holding back?" Kirishima asked in his defense.
"He still went overboard," Ojiro said, though nodded in agreement to the hardener.
"Those legs were perfect…" Mineta drooled remembering what he saw, and Asui slapped him with her tongue.
"Midoriya," Yaoyorozu spoke to her Shaman fiance, "your next match will be against Todoroki. You better prepare."
"Thanks for the reminder, Mo… er, Yaoyorozu," said Izuku, quickly catching himself as they're around company again.
With Class 1-B after Itsuka saw Recovery Girl, she returned tired and thankful she'd get a bit of rest before her next match.
Setsuna flew her head over, saying, "You've been holding out on us, prez! I didn't know you can kick!"
"Izuku's aunt made a few fair points." That, and she also learned from the God of War.
"Pretty cool that she knows these martial arts," Shoda said out of remembrance.
"That Platinum Queen humiliated a lot of critics and grown babies," said lizard girl with a grin.
"She also broke both of Death Arms' hands when he wrongfully accused her."
"Scary!"
XXX
Watching the tournament on his break, Death Arms all of the sudden felt a chill.
"What's wrong?" Woods asked.
"I remembered why I despise demon women," he replied, causing both Mount Lady and Kamui Woods to shiver.
"Oh, that…" Kamui recalled the memory. "You were starting and chasing a villain and she got in the way taking him down. You thought she was a vigilante and attacked her, and got humiliated for accusations when you fought in a duel and she crushed you without using her Quirk, And learned who she was."
"You don't have to bring it up!"
"She completely broke your arms…"
"SHUT UP, TAKEYAMA!"
Izuku was in the hallway walking straight towards the arena, ready for his match with Todoroki. After downing five bowls of Katsudon, he was ready. That's when a figure stepped out from around the corner making him freeze.
"Endeavor?!" Izuku asked in a shocked tone, the last thing he was expecting was Todoroki's father, the Number 2 Hero.
If he didn't knew what Endeavor did to Todoroki he would have wanted his autograph.
Amidamaru was displeased seeing the Hero in person, especially after what he learned.
"Perfect timing," Endeavor said as he stepped in front of Izuku, making the teen back up. He got a good look at the Queen's successor, noticing not much about him at first glance. Just like her.
"Can I help you, Endeavor?" Izuku asked politely, confused as to what the large person could want from him. It didn't help that flames were erupting from his face, or what he knew from Todoroki.
"I saw your little battle with my son during the Cavalry Battle," he began with his deep voice. "Despite your handicapped Quirk you somehow pushed my son harder than anyone, making him use his fire half. It makes me wonder if you'll push him to use it again."
Izuku's face paled as he pushed past Endeavor and walked down the hallway. "I need to get moving; my fight is about to start."
"My Shoto has to surpass All Might," Endeavor said making Izuku stop in his tracks. "If he faces you, it might be a very instructive testbed. Please don't disgrace yourself in it. Shoto might be in a rebellious phase, but he is still stronger than you. So if you do face him, try to at least push him to use his fire."
Amidamaru and Izuku were displeased with Endeavor's words. He truly only seemed concerned with Todoroki using his fire and proving he was the strongest. A part of the Shaman felt he may have been exaggerating, but no; Todoroki was right to despise him.
"Endeavor, you are somewhat of an amazing hero, being able to even rival All Might," Izuku said, making the flame user look at him curiously.
Then Izuku turned to Endeavor with a sharp, making the pro blink in surprise at the intense glare. "It's a shame you can't be a hero to your family!"
"What did you say?" Endeavor scowled at Izuku as his flames became much more intense.
"My aunt would beat me down, tie me to a pole, send me to hell on Earth to train, but she was still there. She was cold, but she was there guiding me, helping me become a hero, even showing kindness in her weird way." His fists tightened. "Even retired she still helped others. She never cared about being number one, what others thought of her, or whether she was going too far; she still helped people, no matter who they were.
"So understand this; I'm not her, and Todoroki is not you."
Endeavor didn't like what he heard. "I find it hard to believe someone like her isn't doing it for some self-gratification." He then turned around and started to leave.
"Endeavor!" It was another voice as Amidamaru wanted to say something. "If you reach the top, you must ask yourself; was it worth it? Will you be able to look back at what you've done and say I did that to your children? All Might didn't become the Symbol of Peace by just being the strongest."
The Flame Hero didn't say anything, only leaving wordlessly. 'Don't talk like you know everything, ghost.'
Once Izuku was far enough away he let out a breath. "That was scary."
"Alright everyone, it's time for the first match of the second round! Give a warm welcome to these two heroes in training!"
The audience applauded.
"The samurai Kid who challenge everything in style ! From the Hero Course, it's Izuku Midoriya!"Izuku walked into the stadium, fully equipped, and ready to fight. ' His going to use his ice to finish these fight fast'.
"Versus!"
"Second! Fire, ice, and super powered to boot! From the Hero Course, it's Shoto Todoroki!" Todoroki walked out of the entrance, his face stone cold as he marched to the arena. 'I'll be disadvantage if I let him lead the fight. I'll end this fast'
Midnight didn't know why but she could feel the tension between these two. It made her squeal. As both of them are waiting for the go.
"It's like two great rivals fighting against each other! Now let's see which student will make it to the next round and become the top!".
"Just move this along already..."
Ready
Start!
Surprised that theirs another chapter. Already
And that's the end of the first round were going to the second round. As you know the canon should be given about a 10 minute or 5-minute break for every match it's not that long and especially making sure the arena is in good condition.
I already explained from my previous that as Izuku nature to help people and being a busy body no matter who so why he wasn't helping Momo when she slumped. Even he helped Todoroki, and Kota with their troubles.
The reason Bakugo lost is due to his ego and arrogance, unlike Itsuka who started to think outside the box and not rally to much on her Quirk. Especially training by Gaolong who give her pointers to use her legs.
Not only she's more resilient to Bakugou attacks as she can take any punishment. Also I enjoy writing this especially when Bakugou geting pummel by Kendo Jojo style.
The fight between Todoroki and Midoriya will reveal some secrets.
