Midoriya the Shaman

Blade and Spirit vs Fire and Ice

The battle began as Todoroki sent a wave of ice straight at the Shaman Kid. The frozen tidal surged overhead, engulfing half the arena in size; clearly, he wasn't holding back.

In response, Izuku made a lazy slash, undisturbed by the size of it.

"Wow! Midoriya stopped Todoroki's attack that easily!" Present Mic was impressed.

Todoroki wasn't surprised seeing his ice was slashed by his class president that easily; this was the same guy who diced that Zero pointer with one move. But what caught his eye was how Midoriya was looking different.

His face looked calm, smiling lazily like he didn't care at all; that irritated Todoroki even more.

'Todoroki is using his ice attacks similar to Horo-niisan. But unlike Todoroki, Horo-niisan was both versatile in speed and power.' He remembered how Horo used the snowboard as his Oversoul.

As Midoriya reminisced…

The Shaman kid was in an Ainu village in Hokkaido; it was a tour that his aunt produced that allow the boy to experience other culture Shamans.

"Emus Nokipekonr!" In came another attack using his ice powers. Horo created a massive icicle on his board, brandishing it as a sword. Izuku parried and dodged each following attack swiftly.

"Don't give your opponents any room to attack!" he said as the Ainu Shaman slashed the Shaman kid.

"Yes!" He quickly deflected it and countered, slicing through the icicle sword.

"Don't forget the use your surroundings to your advantage!" Creating a new icicle, Horo jumped atop it facing Midoriya. "You're still green, Midoriya. But, you still want to be a hero, don't you?"

"Yes, and training with Horo-niisan was aunt Anna's idea you know; facing an opponent that can control his surroundings was her thought process, I think."

"Yup."

"And learning about other cultures of Shaman as well."

"And that too."

"Still, I was glad learning about Shamans and meeting you," said Izuku as he readied himself. Sure, they weren't Quirks, but this was far better.

"Hahaha!" The Ainu Shaman chuckled. "You're a strange kid. Let's finish this then we take a break; then I can show you how we catch fish in the wild."

" Hai!" Izuku shouted joyfully like it's vacation as he learned about Ainu Culture and life.

Amidamaru looked at the person who look like a spitting image of his master's friend. Izuku would definitely learn much from this village.

Izuku slashed the second ice column again, once more without feeling. Moving into a stance following, it was time to go on the offensive; he dashed at Todoroki ready to strike, but he saw this coming and sent another ice wave. It grew in size to slam upon Izuku.

Midoriya used Amida-Ryū Shinkū Budda Giri, slashing the ice instantly and managing to get in front of Todoroki, his weapon poised at the heart.

At the same time, Bakugo was watching the match in anger after he had just awoken from his defeat after Recovery Girl explained what happened to him and done treating him. As hateful as he was, he couldn't deny what he saw. He's now just in denial.

He couldn't even sit with the extras who would look at him with pity. It frustrated him even more if they tried to make him feel better; that girl kicked his ass.

He always knew she was strong, but this was disgusted to him. She won without using any Quirks; he was fell using only skill and technique. Instead of a flashy or powerful Quirk like his, this girl won just by training. 'Why…'

Bakugou knew like others he also trained hard, but what is the deference between him and side pony-tailed strength.

Now was the time for Deku and Todoroki's fight. It's not like anyone cared about his desires anyway. He would never get his rematch.

All he could do was grit his teeth in frustration.

Izuku Midoriya didn't move, only poising his blade just where Todoroki is. "Checkmate."

Todoroki quickly summoned ice, forcing the Shaman back. "What the hell are you doing?"

"I'm just pointing out ways I could beat you easily, that's all."

Todoroki was ignited; this Shaman kid was making fun of him. "This isn't funny!"

"It's not a joke, Todoroki," he replied, eyes still on him. "Fighting you is like a professional boxer against a child, a child throwing a tantrum at the world."

"What did you say?!"

Those green spheres remained on him like always, reminding him that he was no threat at all. "If I wanted to win right now, I would go all out against you. And there would be no way you can stop me; there are eight ways to do it too. Why don't you stop holding back?"

Feeling the rush of anger, Todoroki made more ice. Izuku evaded by stepping to the left and rushing in. That's when a wall of frost formed, blocking his path. A trail of mater manifested from the movement of the sword as he got closer.

壱いちノ型かた - 水みな面も斬ぎり

Izuku made a concentrated slash, cleanly cutting through the ice. It disperses into frost, revealing Todoroki still on the ground as he said, "Ichi no Kata – Minamogiri!"

He stopped just a bit in front of him, his left fist coming in and slamming Todoroki in the jaw. Clocked, he staggered over in pain. "That was Number Two. Six more are left."

The duel quirk user clicked his teeth. He sent another wave of ice at Izuku, only for the shaman to swing at it. It was so weak he didn't even need to dodge. As well, Todoroki let out a breath as he felt a chill run through his body.

"I'm starting to feel my quirk." Todoroki frowned as he let out another breath, this time seeing the vapor mist coming from his mouth. "It's nowhere dangerous, but it could be later." He already knew he couldn't go long.

An incoming slash forced Todoroki to dodge, glaring at the Shaman standing there carefree. 'Why is he just letting this happen? If he could win that easily, he should just do it.'

Izuku stood still, the aura of his Oversoul flaring. It illuminated briefly, showing his goofy smile.

It was here that Todoroki realized what was going on; he wanted him to fight using all of his abilities. 'He's trying to make me use my fire!'

Seeing his reaction made Izuku see that his plan was working; acting as Amidamaru described Yoh did would rile his opponent up. Despite his care and confidence, which angered many an opponent; luckily, he had muscle memory and reflexes to rely on to copy.

Harusame rested on his shoulder, Izuku spoke, "You can't beat me with just your ice; when are you going to realize that and fight me seriously if you wish to win?" as he acted similar to Ryunosuke also known as Bokuto no Ryu.

"Todoroki is getting weaker! Midoriya has turned this fight into a one-sided beatdown! More like a thug!?" Present Mic comment of the outlandish situation.

"That's Midoriya, the problem child with a Quirk versatile and powerful at the same time." Eraserhead sigh gave his comment.

Class 1-A

"Holy smokes! Midoriya is kicking Todoroki's butt!" Kaminari is shocked as he watched the fight.

"I'm gonna do my best to ignore that you just said holy smokes," Jirou said to him.

"That ice was powerful enough to overtake everyone it went up against, but he crushed it like cookie crumbs!" Sato gaped in awe. Was this their passive president? He stood no chance.

"Midoriya has always been tough, but Todoroki is no slouch either," said Sero with a nervous laugh. "But if he used fire he'd be in a better position."

"Hey yeah!" Mina shouted while snapping her fingers.

"Wait, is Midoriya acting differently?" Kirishima spoke as he watched the fight.

"What do you mean? Deku looks the same to me," replied Ochako as she stared.

"Actually," began Momo as she watched, her eyes on the shaman. "He's not taking this as seriously as usual. Like this is a playground to him."

Bakugo watched the fight with acute irritation still far from his classmate. He remembered the conversation Deku and Todoroki had after the Calvary Battle. Bakugo just happened to have followed them after seeing them walk off together. At first, Bakugo wanted to rant at Deku for wining another event, only to stop and listen as he heard them talk. And he heard everything: Todoroki's problems that were just a cracked can of worms, his dad the number 2 hero being the biggest ass of a parent, his mom giving that scar, and the stupid vow that came of it.

Itsuka was watching the fight intensely as well; she was well versed in what was of Todoroki's situation as well, not counting the rumors that were already in place. It was endearing, but humans make the dumbest mistakes. Not even her father would put her through that spiky wringer.

It only brought more questions about the hero society.

Speaking of questionable and heroes, Endeavor was up in the stands, frowning as he watched the fight before him. "I told you this would happen, Shoto."

It's bad enough his son wasn't following what he instructed, but it was an Asakura giving him the business. Of all people, it was the one connected to that bitch who called him a bad parent. The nerve of her!

"It is your destiny to surpass All Might, Shoto. That is why I made you. Use your fire and win this!"

While at the same time the former pro hero Platinum Queen was watching the fight. ''You're too kind Izuku. This time, that kindness may be enough to help someone but not everyone."

Todoroki was shivering. His uniform was covered in frost; the closer it got to his chest the harder it was to breathe. All of his oxygen is being used to accumulate warmth.

Six attacks had already struck, each one more precise than the last. Each time, he became more frustrated. And Midoriya just faked a yawn. "This is getting boring, Todoroki."

"No matter how much I attack he kept countering it," spoke the bichromatic teen trying to push the ice on his body away.

Looking at both of the fighters, the situation wasn't that bad as Midoriya still unharmed. The shaman, still with his calm and smiling looking at his opponents. while Todoroki looked completely fine, the only thing different was that some ice was on his skin and clothes, but he looked as calm as ever. But he could feel his chest was getting tighter and hard to breathe.

"What's the matter?" Shoto called out to his opponent. "Are you just here to make fun of me?!" The ice user was slightly shivering. "I'm sorry about this, but thanks for drawing it out." The boy looked towards his old man. "Look at him. He's furious that I'm not using his power." Shoto pointed out to Izuku. "With this, I'm sending my strongest attack ?" He sent out one more ice barrage, only this time it was larger like an iceberg very overwhelming.

"Woohoo! Todoroki continues his overwhelming attacks!" Present Mic was impress. "Could this be his finishing move?!" The ice was getting closer and closer by the millisecond, centimeters away from Midoriya.

漆しちノ型かた 雫しずく波は紋もん突づき

Izuku's Oversoul changed shape, turning into a needle. An ice pick thinned at the end of the blade as he thrust forward at the ice. "Shichi no kata: Shizuku Hamon Tsuki!"

Both attacks collided causing the ice to stop. Cracks then spread before it was completely shattered. Such shattering shocked the students and civilians straggling to accept such strength surmounting the Shaman's sword stab.

"You're trembling, Todoroki," Izuku stated, sounding very angry this time. "It's easy to forget that Quirks are physical abilities, which means there's a limit until the ice starts affecting you, right?" He could see him shivering. "Usually you make up for the drop in temperature by using the heat from your left side, but you refuse to do that now."

Shoto was visibly angry with those umbraging words. But Midoriya kept going" "Listen. We're all giving it our best to try and win, to make our dreams into a reality, to become number one. And here you are, thinking you can beat us with half your strength. Not since this fight has started have you put a single scratch on me. So come at me with all you've got if you still want to win!"

"Izuku-dono." Amidamaru quietly glanced in awe at his master.

That speech managed to make a noticeable change, for better or worse, in the other party. Anna saw how her nephew wanted to make Todoroki use his fire, and had a good reason to guess why. There were, after all, rumors of Endeavor abusing his family, causing the death of that child, and the hospitalization of his wife. The Todoroki matriarch was already at her breaking point after the forest fire, so Shoto Todoroki ending up like this was within those understandings.

Anna closed her eyes at the umbrage of this situation. 'But, society brushed all that under the rug because heroes like him are still needed. And those that they can't control are erased with history under the illusion that a villain did it…' "Even in clear water, a fish can't live."

"Midoriya. What are you trying to do here? You want me to use my Fire!? Did my monster of a dad bribe you or something?!" Todoroki angrily rushed at him. Izuku swiftly jabbed him in the ribs with the hilt.

"And that's seven! One more, Todoroki!"

"A solid hit again!" Present Mic announced. "That's the kind of action I like to see!" During the attack, while being pushed back, Todoroki backed away to get some distance; it was his mistake getting that worked up.

No one could take their eyes away.

Todoroki was breathing heavily, placing his right foot forward and sending more ice forward. It wasn't nearly as much as before, and the attacks were much easier to deal with. Midoriya avoided the attack and slashed it slowly without any force.

Shoto was now in his face freezing the ground below him, but he managed to blast his opponent away. The ice user made another ice wall to stop him, but it barely held against his sword. His blade pointed at his neck. "That's eight."

Cementoss was contemplating on stopping the match or letting it go on, asking Midnight if he should. But she kept it going, believing in Izuku's decision.

Shoto was struggling to get up as he asked, "Why are you putting yourself through all of this trouble?"

Without an immediate answer, Izuku glared at the stands at those watching him. With an angered tone, Izuku faced Shoto and said, "There are expectations placed on me that I have to live up to. I want to smile while doing something good for them; I want to be a great hero!"

He dashed at Shoto, his answer making the ice user freeze. This allowed Izuku to land a blow with the part dull of his sword. "That's why I give it my all! You'll never become the hero you wish to be half-assing it!" Shoto fell back but stopped himself without using ice.

"You've been through a lot, and I won't know what or even why you're even here; your life has been so much different than mine, but we're not so different after all. That is why you need to stop fooling around! You can deny your father all you want, but don't expect to become the number one in anything if you don't even try to use your full power!"

Todoroki was suddenly hit by flashes of his past after hearing Izuku's words. Images of his father's intense training were still fresh in his mind. He would cry to his mom nearly every day. His other siblings would play and have everyday lives only for him to continue training under his father.

"You live in a different world Shoto."

"Shut up…" Todoroki growled as his emotions swirled. Anger, shame, hope, love, regret, hate: all of these emotions were whirling in Todoroki's mind as memory after memory flashed in his mind.

The memory of how his mother gave him his scar came next. He remembered how she talked to her mother before he went into the kitchen, saying how his left side was ugly before dumping boiling water on his face. She was sent away to a hospital with barely a word, and his father seemed to hardly care. Her job was done, she gave him a worthy heir with a quirk that could rival All Might in power.

"It's your fault…"

"My father-" He started to say while glancing at the flame user in the stands

Those words made Shoto get lost in his thoughts. The personal things that Izuku mentioned must have been going through his head. "Shut up."

Shoto landed on the ground, still in the arena, but barely moving; he struggled to even stand from the cold and the pain he was feeling both inside and out. He forced himself onto his feet. "I will reject you." He thought out loud. "I refuse… to use my left side-"

"I am not All Might!" Izuku shouted at the top of his lungs, stopping Todoroki from finishing. "This is not his Quirk. You are not Endeavor, and you are not using his Quirk! It's yours!"

In the stands, All Might was looking at the fight with a critical look. The teachers were allowed to listen in on the battles, thanks to Midnight's earpiece. Here, he was pleased to see it going in his favor, but slowly became confused with what he was doing.

Now it was clear as day what Midoriya was trying to do.

"Could you be… trying to save young Todoroki!?"

That made Todoroki snap out of his trance, and remember something else from his past. As both mother and sons were watching All Might saving the day with his catchphrase.

"But you still want to be a hero, right? It's okay, Shoto, you… you aren't a slave to your blood. You can become the hero you want to be." Todoroki's mother's words hung in his head louder than any memory.

What Todoroki did next was something that he thought he would never do while in combat.

Suddenly a giant pillar of flames emerged in front of Midoriya, and everyone knew what was going on; the fire was so hot and large that all the nearby ice evaporated into steam or became water.

"Wha… IS THAT...?!" Present Mic questioned.

"He's using his fire!" Ochako stated, squinting her eyes from the bright light.

"Incredible," Iida said.

Even those from 1-B were surprised by the flame's heat as they could even feel it from the booth they were sitting in.

"You're a fool for helping your opponent." He pointed out. "Even though you want to win this battle… Now, which one of us is screwing around?" He looked at peace, focused on one thing, and one thing only. "I want it too, to be a hero!"

Midoriya smiled and Todoroki did too.

Then a familiar voice was heard. "YES, SHOTO!" It was Endeavor, blissfully encouraging his son as he walked down to the edge of the barrier to watch him up close. "Have you finally accepted your purpose?! That's it! Very good! This is the dawn of a new era for us! With my blood in your veins, you'll surpass me! You will live up to the reason I CREATED YOU!" His body was flared up as much as his son's as he said those words.

"Now, this is your true beginning! You who hold my blood, surpass me, and realize my ambition in yourself!" Endeavor shouted while his fire blazed, grabbing a lot of attention from the audience.

However, despite Endeavor making a grand speech, Todoroki kept his eyes on Izuku, his grin never faulting.

"Endeavor's suddenly shouting words of... encouragement?" Present Mic guessed. "What a doting father."

Anna scoffed hearing that word.

Izuku was still smiling, as he praised the power in front of him. "Amazing."

Amidamaru was also the same; it was nothing compared to the Spirit of Fire honestly.

"Why are you smiling?" Shoto questioned. "I won't be able to hold back as this is my first time using it. So don't blame me for what happens next!" Suddenly Todoroki's left side blazed while his right side started to make ice as well.

"Ditto." Izuku's left arm reached into nothing. From the void appeared a second sword's image, before it solidified into the shape of Harusame.

"Amidaryu Dual Wield Oversoul!" The Shaman swung both swords, showing that it was no illusion. The shoulder pads also split into twins as a green aura emitted.

(Playing Doubt & Trust by Access)

"What's huh?! Midoriya created a second sword! This is new!" shouted the talking head that was Present Mic.

"Nitō Ichi, a sword style perfected by Miyamoto Musashi," spoke Eraserhead as he didn't expected that.

Even class 1-A was perplexed and surprised that Midoriya was able to use two swords. No conjuring another sword more than one.

"He can do that?" Iida was astonished.

"He does look more like a samurai. A dual-wielding samurai!" Kirishima's eyes sparkled at the scene.

"I guess Midoriya was holding back during the two events, or that's his secret move." Tokoyami was impress.

Todoroki unleashed a giant wave of ice at Izuku, one so large the ice wave practically spilled out of the arena. The Shaman didn't deter, accepting it as a challenge. As the ice got closer, he made a cross slash, turning the iceberg that looked as huge as the one that sunk the Titanic into chunks.

"I guess you've been holding out on me after all, Midoriya!"

"Let's finish this, Todoroki!" His Oversoul intensified.

Cementoss started to use his Quirk. "Midnight, if those attacks hit…"

"Don't worry about it," she spoke, relying on her women's intuition and she believe in Midoriya.

The flames of his left half intensified, rising to a point that the frost melted. It even burned away at his clothes. Izuku adjusted his sword stance in a reverse grip as his Oversoul enveloped the weapons. Both Shaman and spirit silenced themselves as they concentrated. Even as they were overwhelmed in heat, they properly inhaled and exhaled.

With a shout, Todoroki sent his flame towards the Shaman, a blast of heat that a normal person would have dodged or run from.

阿弥陀流: 後光刃

For Izuku and Amidamaru? They had the conviction. To defeat Todoroki.

"Amida-Ryū – Gokōjin." It was a whisper, but the intensity of the voice was powerful.

Cementoss feared the casualties, and without any warning, erected several stone walls from the floor between Izuku and Todoroki. Six in total. But even it's not enough to hold the flames as it reached the Shaman.

Swooosh!

Then everything was cleared; the flames were dispersed instantly, and the arena was cleanly cut, looking as if it was shattered all way toward Todoroki. He was sent flying with his clothes ripped from the attack. Izuku was behind him, dispersing the extra sword and sheathing Harusame. With a click, Todoroki fell on the grouted arena.

Most were perplexed, trying to understand what happened; the flames were instantly gone. Even Cementoss, who tried to stop it, couldn't tell what was going on. His cement was sliced like paper. Once the explosion and wind died down, all that was left was a huge smoke cloud covering the arena.

"What… what just happened?" asked Kirishima in confusion.

"I think Midoriya slashed so fast that he created a vacuum that sucked up the oxygen supporting the flames," Momo said to explain what happened. "And without defenses, Todoroki couldn't stop him."

"So that's how they're no sign of burning on Midoriya but how?" Iida was still confused as it sound impossible.

Everyone in the stadium waited with anticipation to see who had won the first match of the second round. But the dust and debris were in the way.

Worried over the well-being of Todoroki, Izuku went over to make sure he was all right; he didn't hold back against that attack after all. But as he neared, he saw something different; inside of his uniform was a bandaged cloth wrapping around his chest. He also spotted two rather large mountains contained by the wrapping.

That's when it hit him. "BARREL RAM!" was what his mouth shouted even though he thought something else. Shoto was a girl!

The spirit floated by watching, speechless as his master mumbled up a storm.

"What are you doing, stupid nephew?" spoke a voice in his ears, catching their attention. "There's an illusion up to protect the poor girl's modesty; carry her away so no one notices, less her secret be exposed."

"R-Right, ma'am!"

Eventually, a strong wind blew into the stadium to reveal to everyone the scene. There, they spotted the aftermath of their collision. Midnight then stated while pointing to the winner, "Todoroki is unable to continue; the winner is Midoriya!"

That was his cue; Izuku lifted Todoroki gently in a bridal carry before hurrying to the nurse's office. "And… Midoriya, what are you doing?"

"Taking Todoroki to Recovery Girl," was his reply as he kept going without waiting for an answer.

She squealed at his sportsmanship, allowing it. Of course, she didn't see the truth either. " I allowed such youth sportsmanship!".

"How wonderful!"

"That's the hero's way!"

"Such sportsmanship."

The stadium clapped for Izuku's conduct. Though blushing, he continued to the nurse. Endeavor luckily breathed a sigh of relief seeing the secret was concealed. All Might was surprised it turned out this way; the Shaman showed his true power, and still acted as a hero. He was proud of his protege.

Bakugo, on the other hand, was livid. Not only did the nerd win, but he also gained the glory and praise of the masses. He even got Icy-Hot to use his flames, something he'd never done since. There's also the issue of using two swords at the same time, which he'd think was cool if it wasn't Deku.

This was his wake-up call; Deku and Todoroki were stronger than him.

"Damn it all…"

Itsuka just smiled knowing her friend managed to make Todoroki use his fireside, freeing him from Endeavor's shadow. It was perplexing knowing that Midoriya had a secret move, but he's him for a reason.

Todoroki opened her eyes and surveyed the entire room; from the nurse area she could see, it was obvious she lost. Then she noticed something; her clothes were loose and she was covered in bedsheets.

Next to her was Izuku, sitting with a confused look on his face. She realized immediately. "So, you saw."

"Yup." He nodded swiftly.

"And now you're wondering why I'm hiding my gender…"

"A little…" After bringing Todoroki here, he had his injuries fixed by Recovery Girl who also helped Todoroki. Of course, she knew about that too. Doctor-patient confidentiality.

The fire and ice user sighed before speaking: "There's a reason for that; you see, when I was eight, well, you already knew about how my old man was… then one day, I found an item addressed to him; it had a name I recognized." and of course she wont say it's name to Midoriya.

Flashback…

Shoto was free from sparring with his old man. The domestic violence he suffered left him in bruises. Like always, Shoto endured. Thankfully, Endeavor had to go out of the house for emergency pro hero business as usual. It's the one blessing he had, his father always being called away from home.

Then a doorbell rang as the mailman sent a package. His sister cooking dinner asked for him to get it, so he took the item, a small box that could fit in his hands. What got his attention was what was written; 'To Enji Todoroki, from Touya.'

Seeing the name caused his left side to react unconsciously, igniting the package. He smacked it on the floor to prevent a fire, as an item fell out; it was a small gold necklace with an emerald embedded in the center; around it was hieroglyphic decorations.

Curious, he picked the jewel up to examine. Then pain shot through his body, almost as if the damage from the training finally caught up to him. Every part of his body tore away, causing him to scream and fall unconscious. The last he saw was Fuyumi coming at him in panic.

XXX

"What happened?"

Shoto slowly opened his eyes. He found he was in bed in the hospital from his surroundings and the smell of chemicals. He heard his old man shouting at the doctor arguing about something. But Shoto felt weird.

For one, his voice was different, and two, his arms were much slender.

"Shoto! Thank goodness you're all right!" Fuyumi came in worried about what happened to her brother.

"Fuyumi, what happened?"

"You were attacked by a villain and did something to you."

"Did something to me?"

"It's very hard to explain.'' Natsuo was trying to look at his brother and put the right words out.

"What did that villain do to me?"

"Your body changed into something else Shoto," Natsuo told him.

''I did?"

"I think it's better I show you." The big sister brought him to the washroom, where he saw his new appearance.

"I'm a girl?! How!"

"We don't know!" Fuyumi said, feeling guilty over it all since she asked him to open the door. "Father is trying to find a way to reverse this, but they have nothing."

"That would explain the yelling." Shoto could still hear the bantering and arguments. "So, what's going to happen to me?"

"I don't know Shoto. I just don't know," were her only words.

XXX

The situation in the Todoroki household changed but some things remained the same.

Endeavor already sent Shoto to a lot of doctors, to no avail as there was no way to cure this. The jewel itself was kept in Endeavor's privacy in case it happened to anyone else, as well as to find a way to reverse it. All they knew was that Endeavor was the target, and Shoto took the bullet by mistake, suffering for her father again.

He still kept the training up to have Shoto surpass All Might, doing whatever to hide her gender-bend from the public. She even needed double effort to overcome the lack of upper body strength. While they never told their mom about it, Natsuo had difficulty acting properly around her and Fuyumi had a sisterly bond helping Shoto purchase bras and such, especially during puberty.

Once that arrived, her chest grew, her voice changed, and her hair grew longer and faster, forcing her to hide them all. As troublesome as it was, she already had issues with her identity. She didn't know what to do and kept going like nothing changed.

XXX

"That's my story…" Todoroki curled up in shame. "And now everyone knows."

"No, they don't."

"Huh?!" She glanced at him in shock. "That's not something you can just miss!"

"Well, my aunt has a special ability that created an illusion. No one saw your features as I took you away." One of the benefits becoming a shaman.

"Is that so?" she asked skeptically.

"Don't worry, you can trust my aunt. If she did this, she would have meant it," he told her with confidence. It made Shoto a little jealous that he has a family that caring and trustworthy for him. Even if her method are questionable.

Even so, this was awkward. Her melons were still fresh in his brain. Todoroki eventually asked, "So, what are going to do Midoriya?"

Taking a deep breath, he said, "It's your secret to tell, not mine."

"And you don't have an opinion change of me?"

"Not really; you were still the same person that almost beat me in the Cavalry Battle. You're already strong enough; knowing this just makes you cuter."

He slapped his mouth shut after that slip. Even though he was taught to compliment females, he didn't mean to said out loud.

She glanced at him with a gape in her face. "You think I'm cute?"

"Sorry. It just slipped."

"It's all right, no harm."

Thinking of a different way to change the conversation, Izuku said, "If you want, I could talk to my aunt. If anyone would know anything, she might. Just find me after this."

As Todoroki contemplated that, the samurai ghost spoke, "Izuku-dono, not that I want to be a bother, but Endeavor is coming." as the Samurai was on a lookout.

"Oof. I better get going." Izuku got up to leave. "I hope you turn out well, Todoroki."

Thank you again, Midoriya," she said, watching him leave out the door. As he did, she held in her breath. There was a strange warmth in her heart emitting.

That all went away seeing her old man.

"Shoto…"

That familiar voice caused her heart to grow cold, glaring at her father standing there with a large frown across her face. "If you're worried about my secret, don't be. Midoriya's aunt Anna made sure the world didn't see." Shoto grunted out.

Hearing that name irritated the fire user. But Endeavor's ability to push that aside kicked in. "You lost your match, but your outfit shows me the truth; you need to learn how to control your powers. It's dangerous releasing so much heat at once. Luckily, you're ready to abandon that rebellious stage you were in. It's time you finally embrace your power."

Shoto felt her chest tighten at that statement as he extended his hand. He wasn't worried or concerned about her well-being or secret; just that she used her fire.

"Once you graduate, you can come work by my side, and I'll show you what it means to be a hero."

Shoto continued staring at her father's hand, unable to take it. She took a deep breath before looking at her hand below. "I was certain I could win this entire thing with only mother's power. When I fought Midoriya, I realized I was wrong. But that isn't why I broke my promise…" She clenched her fist hard, thinking back to those powerful words he had said to her. "… at that moment, I had completely forgotten about you."

The smile dropped from Endeavor's face, replaced with a look of shock to the words his daughter said to him. He had no chance to say anything before Shoto got up and walked by away from the hero. The teen didn't even look back as she continued speaking:

"I don't know what happens now, but one thing hasn't changed for me. Perhaps I really don't need you, and I'm going to embrace who I am. No more secrets."

Rounding the corner out of sight, Shoto made his way towards the nurse's room. She didn't need to be healed but had to find something to cover her chest. She didn't want anyone to find out her secret just yet.

Endeavor just stood there looking at his daughter and her rebellious phase. She had the gall to want to expose her secret after all the trouble someone went through helping her conceal it.

Well, he couldn't stop him anyway. "It's your choice, Shoto."

The audience was excited about the next match. After the explosion of seeing Endeavor's son using his flames, it was something they wanted more of. Right now, Cementoss was fixing the arena that was destroyed and slashed during the fight between the two titans.

Midoriya arrived at the booth trying to act as if he didn't know a big secret and failing. So many asked if he was alright after braving through that powerful attack.

"I'm all right everyone. I just have a few burns and scratches that got healed away."

"That was so cool, man! You just took down those flames like a manly samurai! What was that technique?!" Kirishima asked, with Sero pulling him away.

"You were saying something in there that I had trouble hearing," said Jirou from where she sat.

"Oh, no one was worried about that. We were all just in awe that you used two swords at the same time!" Mina said, pretending to poorly wield imaginary swords.

"That was very noble how you helped Todoroki to the infirmary," Uraraka told him in approval.

"I agree. That's good sportsmanship."

A lot of his classmates were praising him during the fight and what he did after. That must have meant Anna's power worked.

Eyeing him strangely, Momo asked, "Is Todoroki alright?"

"Oh yeah, she-er, he's fine. Just a few scratches, nothing Recovery Girl can't heal." He wanted to hit himself for almost screwing up.

"… that's good," she replied, feeling off. For some reason, it felt like Izuku was watching another woman. It was irritating.

"So how's the arena?" Kaminari showed him by pointing over at Cementoss fixing the battlefield they wrecked. "Oops."

Izuku checked around while apologizing before he noticed someone was missing. "Hey, where's Iida?"

"He already left for his match, sometime after getting a phone call," Asui told him, the ever-observant woman she was.

"Oh, shit, that's right." Kirishima went off in a hurry.

"And Kacchan?"

"Oh, he's been missing since getting his ass handed to him," Jirou said, a little smug in her statement. She never did like him, and seeing Kendo win was good at work if it can reduce Bakugou ego. There was a huge chance she wasn't the only one either, but they'd never admit it.

Amidamaru snorted. He'd have to search later.

"Alright, everyone! I hope everyone is ready for another spectacular fight! The second match of the third round! So let's get the match started shall we." Present Mic said for all to hear.

"He's the fastest person in the group and can sweep you off your feet! From the Hero Course, it's Tenya Iida!"

Iida walked out the entrance with determination. "I'll do you proud, big brother."

"Versus! He had his first fight that turned out to be a commercial success! From the Hero Course, it's Eijiro Kirishima!"

"Why did you have to bring that up?" Kirishima grunted, remembering what Hatsume did to him.

"This is going to be an interesting match," spoke Aizawa with interest. It was a rare sight.

"How so might I ask?"

"An immovable object against an unstoppable force."

As the fight proceeded, over in Hosu, an event was taking place. One that Iida would remember for the rest of his life.

You probably wondering At first I wanted to make Todoroki normal but then change it.

I got the idea of Todoroki becoming a girl from the anime Yashahime as the characters disguise themselves as a boy and the creator also the one who did RANMA ½ Takahashi Rumiko so why not. I have already given a few hits from the chapters and without spoiling.

Another reason is that Endeavor became a doting father after All Might's retirement and soul searching. It is usually much more fun with the daughter and father relationship mix up. As the father won't let her daughter be near to any opposite sex or that won't leave her alone.

I already how and why it happen as his being cursed by someone who has a grudge with Endeavor you probably knew but how that person obtained such power.

Other ideas I got from the manga and light novel Great Wise Man's Beloved Pupil I won't spoil.

The Oversoul is based on the person's creativity as such Midoriya thought using duel wield as such away to fight.
