Shaman Fight in U.A.
Tokoyami was already recovered from his defeat, utterly dejected knowing he lost. If he had even a little bit of upper-body strength, he might have been able to escape that chokehold. A powerful Quirk wasn't enough.
"I'm sorry everyone," he apologized, bowing his head in shame.
"It's all right. You just didn't expect that kind of outcome," Mina sympathized with Tokoyami as both of them were defeated by Class 1-B students.
"Yeah, even I didn't expect that. To think that skill could beat quirks," Ochako said.
"This goes to show that we can't rally on our quirks all the time." Ojiro approved as martial arts himself.
"Exactly, it just proves that we should think outside the box." Momo gave her own opinion.
Still ashamed, Tokoyami felt happy about how the others consoled him.
"The next match is going be the first between two people from class 1-A" The Shaman was pumped for his next match.
"Where is Kirishima?" Tokoyami asked, knowing the next match would be between him and the class president.
"He's preparing himself," Kaminari said.
Kirishima was alone. After a few minutes of contemplating his options, he groaned in despair. None of his moves would last against Midoriya, nor would his hardened skin be able to tank the sword that sliced through fire and metal. Had it been anyone else he might've had a chance, except maybe Todoroki, but against his class president, his chances weren't good.
Regardless, he couldn't give up. He resolved to move past his old self, for he was no coward anymore.
Elsewhere, Kendo worried about her options; Shiozaki effortlessly defeated all of her opponents in the same vein as Izuku. Her hair would grow back after all too; the best option would be to strike fast and mercilessly before she could even counter attack.
Izuku was elsewhere devouring a bento, quickly replenishing his spiritual energy before the fight. Even if he had the advantage against Kirishima, he wasn't about to make the same mistake Tokoyami did. Not to mention, to win while at a disadvantage would be disgraceful.
Also his aunt , Anna would say 'there's a possibility of one percentage lost as anything can happen so be prepared'.
Ibara was performing her mental preparations, which involved ignoring Monoma's rants.
Anna the Itako was finished reviewing the students' abilities and quirks, finding some held incredible potential while the rest lacked skills or relied too much on their Quirks. Shinso Hitoshi who wished to be a hero immediately caught her eye; had the exam gone differently or his fighting skills been prominent he'd be in Class 1-A. Itsuka Kendo, who she saw was close to her nephew in fighting skills, was a protege potential she intended to make.
It made her glad she 'willed' the tournament to have certain players face those who held an advantage against them.
Kaminari was a complete disappointment; there was already a howling letter with a heartbreaking review attached for him after school starts.
'Pathetic,' were her thoughts. Not just to him, but to the tournament entirely.
She understood the real reason the festival was made, but for them to broadcast it made it simple propaganda for the world, and that only exacerbated the problem of a Quirk-saturated society. If you lacked a powerful, versatile Quirk, you couldn't be a hero; if you had one, this festival made you a target for villains like him. It made her more appreciative of the other festival that took place at the end of the year, for it showed how Quirks were useful outside of heroics.
Her company was filled with powerful Quirks attached to people with no heroic aspirations, and that was fine. But no one cared about those people; they'll see their powers and ask why they didn't become a hero. It angrily reminded her of why she became a hero.
'It wasn't for prestige; it was just the fastest way to reach those wronged by society.' While awaiting the next match, she read a book that shaped her thoughts to this day.
Quirk Singularity Doomsday Theory. This book she had read a hundred times prior was already proving itself true; it held the theory that someday, Quirks would evolve to a point where the human body they inhabited couldn't handle the stress. Without training, it could cause natural disasters, atomic implosions, and even massive deaths.
It was now a banned book and the government decided to focus on heroics than the walking disaster that would unveil within another five, ten or twenty years. 'A foolish focus; you don't need a license to help others, nor should you. All Might doesn't realize it, or maybe he does and knows he can't do anything about it... Now everyone expects heroes to do everything for them, leading to that.'

Flashback
The Itako along with Vice and Ultimo were investigating a certain girl named Himiko Toga. She read the news about how she was just a normal high school girl until she was sucking her classmate's blood through a straw with ecstasy.
After interviewing former friends and teachers she learned from them she was just a normal girl who suddenly changed during that incident. It angered her that they would turn on her that quickly if she was so normal. Even worse, no one had information about her Quirk; just that it involved blood and her parents kept it a secret.
That brought her to the Toga residence. "Hello? I'm here to speak about your daughter." she asked politely.
"Go away! We have nothing to say to you reporters or the police!"
Sighing, she commanded Vice to kick down the door, which he did with pleasure. The sound alerted the parents, who came out to see the Itako and her visible subordinates inside their home.
"So, let's try this again."
"Begone! Or I'll call the heroes and cops!"
"I am a hero," she replied, frightening them showing her license. Even she retired the license still has it's usage.
"What do you want?" the father asked ,the seeing the proof.
"I'll be asking a few questions about your daughter, Himiko," was what the Itako said.
"We have nothing to say to the creepy demon child of ours!" the mother shouted.
"Vice!" Vice moved forward and punched the father in the gut. While the wife stared in fear, he regurgitated his dinner. "I'll be asking you questions, and you answer to the best of your abilities. Kapiece?"
Both parents nodded understood

The Itako was sitting along with the parents. Vice was guarding as Ultimo stay behind to guard the outside.
"How was Himiko Toga before the incident?" The parents explained to her that once Himiko brought home a dead bird covered in blood, she called it pretty. It scared them, made them think she was possessed. Disgusted by her behavior, they made her suppress these urges in a conceal not feel way; to be normal.
Thinking in the years their little girl was just normal but, all that came to an end one day when she attacked her classmate Saito with a box cutter and drank his blood like a vampire. Accused to be a lost cause, she was branded a demon child and abandoned, with all blame deflected upon them to redirect any bad parenting.
"I've heard enough." Her voice was filled with venom and anger.
'….'
"Tell me. Did you ever give her the help she needed?"
"What are you talking about? We tried to make her normal." as they try justified their action.
"And that's why I'm angry with you. You knew your daughter wasn't normal, but instead of counseling, a psychiatrist, or even having her meet a hero like Vlad King can probably helped her with her blood enthusiasm problem, you told her to suppress urges she had no control over which drove her mad when she saw blood again."
"But that's because we-"
"I DIDN'T SAY YOU COULD TALK!" They stopped after the scream, allowing Anna to continue. "Having a child is a precious gift, something many can do but only those with the responsibility to care for another can do. And you ruined it, all because you felt it easier to direct it all on her instead of admitting you were wrong. I'd be surprised if you ever cared about your child if you'd sacrifice her for your reputation."
Their silence was the only answer she needed. "We're done here. I'll vomit if I'm around garbage too long." She made her exit, leaving these words left. "If you still have any shame, blame yourself for your actions. Blame yourself for not being the hero she needed."
Those words pierced the parents' hearts like a silver bullet.
Outside, Anna spoke, "Ultimo?"
Her subordinate popped up. "Nothing serious, Anna-sama. There were hooligans attempting to vandalize the house, but they've been taken care of." A thumb aimed at a few people tied up, most students from Toga's school.
"Call the police Ultimo, and show them the evidence of their actions. Vice, give them a warning; as bad as the parents, these brats have no right to exacerbate this."
"As you command," they both said in unison.
Himiko Toga wasn't the only victim; there were others like her outcast because of quirk saturated society. Most were never seen again.
Flashback over
"It's finally here folks I hope everyone is ready for another amazing fight! The first match of the third round! At this year's sports festival, both have shown top-class performance!"
The crowd roared in excitement, so much so, that nearly the whole stadium shook.
"This boy with his swordsmanship, slices fire like butter! The samurai kid, Izuku Midoriya!"
Izuku walked into the stadium, fully equipped, and ready to fight.
"Versus! His body swells with infinite power! The Unbreakable Body, Eijiro Kirishima!"
Kirishima walked out of the entrance with a determined face. Mostly because of the Gekiranger reference.
Both teens made their way to the stone arena, and everyone could feel the tension between them.
"It's like two great rivals fighting against each other! Now let's see which student will make it to the final round!"
"START!" Midnight gave the signal.
"Kirishima are you ready?" asked Izuku, activating his oversoul mode.
"Midoriya please don't hold back!"
"Kirishima-kun?!" This was surprising.
"I know I can't win facing you, but at least let me go out at your best!"
Amidamaru understood nodding his head. Kirishima really wanted to see how he stacked at the shaman's best. Holding back would indeed be humiliating. "Izuku-dono?"
No more words were needed.
Amidaryu Dual Wield Oversoul
"Arghhh!" Kirishima hardened himself to his current limit, embedding both feet into the cement.
"Amida-Ryū – Shinkū Budda Giri!"
As the X-shaped celestial slash flew towards the hardened user Kirishima guarded, but the outcome was an obvious showcase, causing Kirishima to fly out of the arena with ease due to the nature of spiritual vs physical.
"Kirishima is out of bounds; the winner is Midoriya!" Midnight announced but felt guilty, knowing it was an easy defeat.
Kirishima got up quickly but he felt strange. Happy and frustration converged giving him a feeling of not wanting to give up.
"It's alright, I'm fine." The crowds applauded his sportsmanship and manliness. Everyone in the stands gave Kirishima a smile knowing he went out with a bang.
"CongraLatuins for winning Midoriya," Kirishima shook his hand, a little disoriented from the blow.
"No hard feelings right Kirishima-kun?"
"No."
Returning to the stands, Izuku felt someone was missing and it wasn't Bakugo. After a quick scan, he realized it was Iida. Usually, he's the one with words of encouragement, but he hadn't been seen since that phone call earlier. It must be serious.
"The thorn princess was fastest to win her match ever in the history of U.A.! Can she keep it up?! It's Ibara Shiozaki!"
"I thought you wanted to skip the introduction."
"I want but you can't keep a good show and I think she's still mad at me," Hizashi confessed.
"In other words buttering her up."
"Heh! Anyway Versus, the martial arts master that blew everyone's minds with her skills and brutal technique! Itsuka Kendo!"
XXX
In class 1-B stands, Monoma was disparaged. "This was supposed to be a fight between A and B. Now we're up against each other!"
"It was bound to happen," spoke Tetsutetsu with a hand wave.
"Nothing we can do about it," gabbled Setsuna.
"Yeah it's not like someone tampered with the machine," Kinoko said without a thought. Unbeknownst to her, someone sneezed.
Pony stared in awe, saying, "It looks like Kendo might have wanted to face Shiozaki anyway."
Setsuna nods in agreement. "True. Regardless, someone in our class will face Midoriya in the finals. Is that good for you, Monoma?"
"It is!" he shouts, shocking Shishida at the fast recovery.
Bakugo was still watching the event despite the eternal irking he felt from seeing the boy he declared to surpass up there. That other old hag made him far too strong to his chagrin, considering how he took out Icy-Hot with that secret style.
He knew deep down Deku was better, but denied it. Quirks were everything; he couldn't accept it either way.
Both classmates looked at each other awaiting Midnight. Both of the girls glared at one another, a tension wall stronger than concrete.
"Start!"
Itsuka enlarged her hands going for the Thunderclap to disorient the Thorn quirk user. It worked, disorienting Ibara and allowing her to dash forward for a missile punch. Ibara sent a flurry of thorny vines to attack willy-nilly, but the loud clap from earlier had affected the girl's aim. Itsuka easily dodged left and right.
"Look at this folks! Kendo made the first move and it seems to be working." Present Mic complimented her tactic.
"It's something I would do," Eraserhead commented, knowing that certain attacks were necessary when facing a powerful opponent.
She was getting closer, ready to end it in one punch. But before she could reach Ibara, her entire body tightened and stopped. A rope had entangled her. 'A rope!?'
Tracing its origin, Kendo found it belonged to Ibara's right hand, making it the support item she had only seen against Ashido. But she hadn't seen it earlier, which meant it came out by itself. Even more, she couldn't break free. 'But it's just rope! It shouldn't be possible!'
"Forgive me Kendo, but I have a lot of pride at stake for the final match," Ibara confessed.
Giving the end of the rope a closer look, Kendo saw something humanoid. It was like a pixie giggling at her. That's when she realized:
"You're just like Izuku!"
"So you can see them..." spoke the female shaman before she tossed Kendo out of bounds. "Yes, I am a Shaman."
"Kendo is out of bounds!" As Midnight declared for all to hear, the crowd gave a loud cheer.
"Here it is folks! That's three fast endings in a row! A new record folks!"
Rather than look at her opponent, Ibara darted her vision straight for Izuku Midoriya. A finger pointed at him, making it his latest declaration of war today.
"Challenge accepted," muttered Izuku.
"Midoriya why is that girl challenging you," Tsuyu asked curiously. "You two barely spoke to one another and now you're acting as rivals."
"Our family has... history," Izuku explained.
"You mean Asakura?" Momo suspected much seeing their similar powers.
"Yes. Most likely, my ancestor Yoh had a complicated relationship with hers," was his honest answer.
"How complicated?" Mina asked.
"Too long, didn't read; my grand uncle was... a jerk. Anyway, I better go." He hurried up his speech at that last bit, hoping to put an end to it. Nobody needed to know that bloody history.
Gone was the boy walking somewhere to be alone.
Everyone was confused yet curious, but just like with Iida, this was a family affair. They had no place. Bakugo was far more focused on how the Ponytail girl who kicked his butt lost to her classmate, who also held her attention to Deku.
"It is time for the final match," Momo said with a serious look on her face.
"Yeah, you're right Yaomomo."
"Yaomomo?"
"It's a nickname." Mina gleefully said, and Yaomomo practically accepted it.

It wasn't just the students; even the Shaman community watching were going to witness a Shaman fight live for the world to see. This tournament immediately evolved past what they were expecting.
Even the denizens of the supernatural world of the Youkai were watching this tournament with interest. It might as well be a Shaman Fight.
The Asakura household was watching with anticipation knowing theirs a bit history between two families.
Marcos and others were also watching the event along with fellow X-charity members. The moment they learned Lyserg's descendant would face the Asakura, they couldn't turn away. Fate worked in mysterious ways.
As the heroes watched with preparations to recruit, Present Mic continued to talk. "After a long day, with challenge after challenge for the UA students, the festival is now slowly coming to a close. The Obstacle Race, The Calvary Battle, and The Tournament. All were hard trials for the UA students. Some got their moments of glory, others discovered they had much to improve on their skills and power, and the rest discovered new avenues of power to become better so one day they can become heroes. But here we are! The last match!"
The inevitable roaring of the crowd rang in their ears. "MIDORIYA! TAI! SHIOZAKI!"
"You're skipping the introduction this time," was Eraserhead's comment.
Izuku Midoriya stepped up with a game face. This wouldn't be like his other fights; he was up against a Shaman of his caliber, just like back at USJ.
Ibara Shiozaki was the same as she prepared. Her hands that were always together dropped down to show determination.
Just before the battle started, she spoke to Midnight. "Before we begin, I would like to make a request." The stadium fell silent as Shiozaki spoke.
"A request?"
"For this match, I would like it if we both used our own equipment, and the out-of-bounds rule be abolished."
Quiet murmurs whispered across the stadium at her request.
The stunned woman then asked, "And why would you ask such an absurd request?"
"It's not absurd," Shiozaki replied with determination. "For two fighters of our strength, we wish to battle with our best abilities. And neither of us would be satisfied with an easy victory. Without that ring-out rule, we can fight unabated until one of us cannot continue or our Oversouls are lost."
"Oversoul?" Midnight then spotted Morph manifested upon Shiozaki's shoulder, a faint image she could barely see. Taking out her bell, the pro heroine could clearly see the guardian ghost and giggled and the lost tension. Morpho was adorable.
"So you ARE aware of it too," Shiozaki spoke seeing Midnight cooing at Morpho.
Amidamaru from above his green shaman's shoulder pieced it together. "So that explains it; you really are related to Lyserg."
"Lyserg?"
"Yes," was her straight answer. "My true name is Datura Diethel. We changed it to Ibara Shiozaki when we entered Japan, just like how you did, Asakura. But unlike you, I didn't have the luck of being able to disguise my power as a Quirk."
"I suspect both our families have a very complicated relationship." His partner reminded him before about how Lyserg got into conflict with Yoh, especially regarding Hao. But, you get what you give.
Izuku, knowing he couldn't back down from the duel, spoke, "I accept your suggestion."
"Hold it, I didn't agree to this!" shouted Midnight out of worry. The last time a Shaman fought Izuku without restraint he almost died.
"Hang on, Midnight," Aizawa called, catching her attention. "It's alright. Let it go through."
"But Eraserhead-"
"The students wish to demonstrate their skills without any restrictions or limitations. It would be impractical of us to deny them this opportunity. I'll allow it." Aizawa was curious to see the capabilities of his problem child with this girl, especially as she hinted that there was more to Izuku's Quirk than what it was.
" Plus this is the final match, so I think the Audience would appreciate some spice for the main course!" Present Mic was truly liking the new rules set by the student.
With a heavy sigh, Midnight nodded in understanding as everyone approved. "Very well." She cracked her whip at the Duo. "However, none of you are to endanger the audience or perform any fatal actions! Is that understood?!"
They both reply without any reservation. "Yes, Sensei!"
Midnight then stepped back as the two spirits manifested. She also wasn't the only one having doubts as Cementoss got ready.
"Well, it appears we're in for quite the show here folks! There's officially no more out of bounds! Meaning the only way to win is to immobilize your opponent or make them give up! Alright, without any more delays or monkey wrenches thrown in let's get the semi-finals underway!"
"Good. I don't want to avenge my grandfather by winning with something like a ring-out." Shiozaki's Oversoul billowed before her. Even her hair wiggled like snakes.
"Then I will fight in the name of Yoh Asakura!" Izuku entered his Dual wield style.
START!
Ibara made the first move as her Oversoul zoomed for the Shaman, but rather than dodging it he simply whispered, "Shichi no kata: Shizuku Hamon Tsuki!" With a mighty thrust, his blade collided with the pendulum at the rope's end.
Within seconds, the glass broke as Izuku jumped back quickly, avoiding the thorny tentacles attempting to entangle him. Shiozaki retrieved her rope as she pulled out from her pocket a small box. "I should have known that glass wouldn't have held."
With Izuku dodging, she was free to replace her rope with another attached to the crystal inside of the box. Now ready, her pendulum wrapped up into the form of a shark. Her Oversoul glowed in response. "Oversoul Shark Attack!"
"Oh, shit!" Izuku shouted before jumping back, ignoring Shiozaki shouting at him to watch his language. The teeth wires snapped at Izuku as he lept and cartwheeled out of range. Luckily, that ring-out rule was abolished. As he ran further away from Shiozaki , a shark fin emerge from the ground chasing him like a predator of the sea.
It jump and tried to chew the Shaman like chum but Izuku manged to dodged it and what's left a giant shark shape hole on the ground.
"That's creative," spoke Aizawa in awe.
"I know right? She just created a shark using just wires and it's like Jaws!"
"Land shark, stupid," Eraserhead quickly decided to just underhand his partner.
"Dang It." knowing he just miss a named opportunity.
Kaminari's eyes widened in shock. This was the same thorn girl who blocked his attack and defeated him easily. And she was even strong enough to keep their class president on the run?!
"Close your mouth," Jirou said, grossed by him keeping his mouth open in shock.
"So that's how strong she is," Ochako gaped in awe.
"I get it... she's just like Iz-Midoriya, but with a Quirk," Momo muttered while staring at the battle. She had no idea there was another Shaman.
"What do you mean by that?" Todoroki asked the Yaoyorozu heiress, catching her off guard.
"Oh, it's just... Midoriya just has a rare Quirk through a bloodline."
'You know that's not what I asked.' Todoroki would keep this to herself.
In 1-B stands, everyone else was just as perplexed to see their star classmate fighting on a level above everyone else. Was she always this powerful?
Izuku took out two paper talismans and pressed them on the ground, causing an earth wall to emerge.
"Futile!" The manifestation just broke the wall, as if it was glass, and strangely, Midoriya was nowhere. "A distraction?!"
"Over here!" Looking up, Shiozaki saw the samurai above her.
"Amida-Ryū: Shinkū Budda Giri!"
Ibara quickly called the manifestation up to protect her, only to miss as it wasn't her target. Izuku slashed at her vines, destroying the catalyst that formed the giant shark in the first place. With it gone, she was left open to his foot in her chest.
"Oh to! The samurai kid managed to land a hit," Present Mic said.
"Carefully Izuku-dono. Don't get cocky." The samurai warned his master, noticing the red on his face after where his foot touched.
"Understood Amidamaru!"
Returning to focus, the vines from Shiozaki grew and merged together as she growled. All of her tentacles came together, making her a humanoid version of a giant Kraken.
"Oh, great spirit!" One of the tentacles smashed down on the ground before him, creating dust and debris. With no choice, Izuku ran while avoiding the tentacles that were trying to smash him.
"Now here you see folks it seems Shozaki has the creativity of an artist." Present Mic was impressed, whatever what he said meant.
Izuku cut one of the tentacles, confirming to him that no Furyoku flows through them. It was just her Quirk. Knowing he'd need not worry, he went to town on the next tentacle to come at he pull the last paper Talisman and summoned a fireball as it flew straight towards the tentacle and burn.
But that was a distraction as the pendulum quickly wrapped around the Shaman. The Kraken disappeared as well.
"Oh no, Midoriya has been caught! Is this the end of our samurai Kid."
"Yield! you are helpless now!"
"Not a chance," Izuku said as he struggled in vain.
"You just don't give up, do you?" The wire tightened around him.
"Izuku-dono!"
"Amidamaru, we've got one chance!" The shaman kid checked the oversoul as it nodded with the understanding of its master intention.
"Do you yield?" she asked again.
"No!" Izuku quickly threw the manifested blade into the air and bit the grip. "Amida-Ryū: Shinkū Budda Giri!" His vacuum blade flew at Shiozaki, the woman completely taken by surprise by how he did it.
On reflex, her vine hair guarded, but as established Quirks couldn't stop Oversouls. His attack sliced through her hair and loosened the wires, allowing the entangled Shaman to break free. Both Shaman were already reaching their limit and it was time to end this.
"I refuse to lose to an Asakura!" Shiozaki shouted, losing her composure.
"And I just refuse to lose," he responded, showing off his resolve. Both Shaman Furyoku intensified.
The girl leaped high in the air through the use of her hair, as the pendulum drew in the air to arc a new shape. Towering over Izuku was the manifestation of the famous architecture of London; Big Ben.
"Big Ben Attack!"
"It seems Shiozaki is going all out folks she's giving her all!"
"It's far larger than the one Lyserg used upon Yoh-dono," spoke Amidamaru while examining it.
Rather than panic, Izuku faced the attack using only one blade style before jumping.
阿弥陀流 - 後光刃
Steadying his breathing, Izuku made his attack dead center upon Big Ben. "Amida-Ryū: Gokōjin!"
With one strike, he destroyed the manifestation and hit Ibara with his Oversoul. Her crystal shattered into pieces, preventing the Oversoul from keeping its form as Morpho came out of its form.
Shiozaki cried out as she was hit, flying backward in the air. Luckily, Izuku caught her before she could hit the concrete.
"The winner of the Sports Festival is Izuku Midoriya!" Midnight annouce.
Thus that's the end of the match I wanted the battle just like how Yoh fought lyserg during their first meeting. Datura is a genus of nine species of highly poisonous, vespertine-flowering plants belonging to the nightshade family Solanaceae. Since Lyserg named was based on drugs why not.
It's a fast match as Kirishima can't defend by Oversoul and Morpho wires are unbreakable and not even Itsuka can free herself.
The situation with Himiko is one the flaws of a quirk like society as the prefer maintained the reputation than helping their daughter.
