'Empty white space. Everything is just a blinding light. Why is that all I can see? What's the last thing I remember... I was walking down the street, on my way home with some greasy fast food. I had even bought Mom and Dad some. I remember someone speeding, a bright flash.' I had opened my eyes to an operating room. The bright light flashing down on my face. A doctor over me with a scalpel in hand. I started to freak out, waving my arms around only to find they weren't working. I could feel them try to move but I couldn't. It was like they weren't even there. 'Damn. Looks like I'm finally going to die. Heh I've always looked forward to it, but I can't imagine how Mom feels. I just wish that something makes her happy after I'm gone.' After his eyes slowly shut, it was once again only white when I opened my eyes. As far as I could see it was a void. I looked down only to see nothing. A black dot appeared in front of leading me to "jump" although I didn't feel like I moved.

"Hello there! You are the one hundred thousandth person to die today! You win a trip to reincarnate into your favorite fantasy world! We will now search your memories to determine your favorite!" The dot started to spin in front of my eyes. It's bright and cheery voice kind of off putting in this situation. Then it had hit me what it said. 'I was going to get to reincarnate into my favorite world. But I didn't get to choose. What would they decide? Dragon Ball? Pokemon? Maybe Digimon, no I haven't watched that in years. Perhaps naruto? No, I stopped liking it when I was younger.' I kept thinking while the ball spun over and over. Till it froze.

"You will be reincarnated into the world of Hunter X Hunter. This is not your choice, please do not argue." The orbs "voice" rang out.

"But wait, I stopped watching or even following the manga after Ging and Gon met. I hated what Jump did, forcing the author to continue in the world without the main character!" I think I was shouting in protest. It was hard to tell in the void.

"But you never stopped thinking about it. Ideas for abilities, the thought of the show and how it could have gone, was always in your subconscious, even most of the time being in the front of your mind. You have three points to spend on your reincarnation! Good Luck surviving in your new world! Just because you don't take them here, does not guarantee that they will not happen naturally. Such as if you took no class of nen, you would still have one. Warning, once you reincarnate you may have dreams and or visions of your previous life." The orb disappeared as a game screen appeared in front of me.

Each of these choices cost 1 point unless otherwise stated. Please spend your points:

Nen-Natural Birth: Due to circumstances at your birth, you were born with powerful amounts of Nen in your body. Although you don't have access to it till trained.

Sly Fuck: You were born to be a Transmuter!

Honesty is the best policy: You were born to be an Enhancer!

Volatile: You were born to be an Emitter!

Calculating: You were born to be a Manipulator!

Nervous Nelly:You were born to be a Conjurer!

Weapons Expert: You are naturally good with pretty much any normal weapon you pick up. Can not be taken with Outside Thinker.

Outside Thinker: You are pretty good with anything that isn't a weapon. This applies to using it for its own acts and as a weapon. Can not be taken with Weapons Expert.

Handsy: You are a born Natural at fighting with your body. This includes using your aura on your hands, feet and other body parts.

Animalist: You are loved by all animals, all around the world.

Kurta: You are part of the famous Kurta clan, with their scarlet eyes.

Nen .001%: You are as good as nen as .001% of the world. Making you better than most beginners.

Nen .0001%: This skill costs two points, making you better than .0001% of the world.

Nen .0000001%: The highest you can get, costing three points. This makes you so good with nen, when taken in conjunction with Nen-Natural you will be able to use Nen at birth. Although it will be weak.

'While all of these look good, I'm not sure if Nen .00001% is worth it. I mean with that much more power I might be able to make a major change in the story. Another point is I don't know when I will be born. I could end up somewhen like around Ging's age, Gon's or even years later after Kite's death. Hell I could be born before the Hunter's Association is even a thing. Fine, I'll select this at least.' I reached out and clicked on Nen .1%. 'I mean Ging always said that good hunters are loved by animals, but knowing the powerhouses that exist. What else should I take? I think taking two of the Nen categories would make sense. I think If I take Manipulation and Conjuration , I should have a much higher chance to become a specialist. Those have always been the most powerful in my opinion, and I would still be able to use Transmuter and Emitter at eighty percent efficiency. I'll take those. I don't know how my life will be affected.' As soon as I had picked my last option, everything went black, the next thing I knew I was a small child.

"I don't wanna eat my Veggies!" I slammed my small hands on the table, my hair brown messy hair falling into my face. I looked at my Mother's blue stern eyes and pouted. I glared up at her as she glared back at me.

"If you don't eat your veggies, I won't let your Father give you the gift he had promised you. Do you hear me?" I nodded and ate my veggies as quickly as I could. I even choked on my broccoli for a second. She grinned at watching me eat so quickly and even chuckled at my mishap. My Dad was a part of the hunter association, not only was he a hunter, he was a bounty hunter! He took down all the bad guys while making sure people stayed safe. He's my hero, easily. He's super strong too! I sat in my chair rocking back and forth, waiting for Dad to get home. Whenever he went on a long hunt, he would come back with a gift or with something for us to do together. As the night rolled in my Mom came back into the kitchen, looking at me still waiting and watching the door. "You know he's not coming till tomorrow right?" She leaned on the door looking at me while I turned back to her.

"Okay. I'll sit here and wait for him to come through the door." At which point my Mom walked over, picking me up.

"Just because you're ten tomorrow doesn't mean you can stay up till then. Time for bed okay?" She had walked me over to my bed, and forced me in, tucking the blanket under me. She kissed me on the forehead as she whispered, "Goodnight sweetie." As she left my room, I quickly got up and ran to the window, climbing through. I went to the roof top and sat there with an owl, petting it while looking out to the sea. I lived on a small island in an archipelago near whale island, which is the only major landmark. It's like us, a small fishing town. Although we have to do all our trades through them. I've never been, but according to Dad the island is huge and shaped like a whale. It's full of fisherman and sailors alike. He has to go there often to get missions, something about being harder to track that way. He always leaves the island days at a time. The owl had moved itself on top of my head and cooed lightly.

"I can't see too well at night, could you tell me when you see my Dad?" I reached up patting his head, his cooing sounding positive. I looked out at the pier when I saw his boat come, and jumped down off the roof. I ran over to him and jumped at him, "DAAAAAAD!" He gripped me back, but something didn't feel quite right. It was lopsided, he was missing an arm.

"Alright sport. Why aren't you in bed? I know you love it when I come back, but you need to sleep you know?" Dad had dropped me back on the ground and tousled my hair. "Don't worry I'm not going anywhere for a while at least. This hunt paid really well, so I don't have to leave anymore okay?" I nodded looking at his arm, or lack thereof.

"What happened to your arm?" I kept staring.

"Don't worry I just fought someone stronger than me and I WON!" He started cheering at the end of his sentence, and I followed along. We smiled and cheered all the way home, till we opened the door to Mom standing there. She had her arms crossed under her chest, then smacked me on the head, following up with Dad. It seemed like she didn't even care that he was missing his arm.

"You shouldn't be awake this late young man, but since we all are and it's past midnight already…" Mom walked into the kitchen and came out with a cake, with ten candles on it. It was amazing, she had always wanted to be a professional cook, to the point where when my parents were first married, she would force him to hunt dangerous animals so she could try cooking with them. Although even though she tried her hardest, while she was working an incident happened that caused her to lose her sense of smell. She couldn't keep up with the other cooks in the kitchens. So finally she lost her job, and settled for being a housewife. This was the best night of my life, as well as the last time my Father would have come home.

Father never left on long hunts after that. Just day long journeys out into the woods, at which point I would accompany him, to hunt for tonight's dinner. He would teach me the secret of hunting. To be quiet and still, showing no killing intent till the very end. Then strike right at the point where they let their guard down. That's when you strike. We would hunt a variety of small game to bring home. Rabbits, ducks, sometimes we would even get something big like deer! Eventually he stopped hunting them, and left it to me. Dad's weapon of choice had always been a huge blade, but I always thought he looked clunky with it. Instead I went with knives, kitchen knives. Once I said that was how I wanted to hunt, Mom said she would teach me how to cook and cut properly. I agreed. I always thought that cooking was cool, so I decided to take on Mom's dream and Dad's profession. To be a hunter that gathered unique and rare food seemed like an amazing idea.

Once I told Dad that I wanted to be a Hunter, he started training me on top of having me do that hunting. The training was rigorous physical labor and stamina training. Once I was done, I instantly went to learn how to cook from Mom. After dinner my Dad would have me studying all sorts of plants and animals, worldwide. What can and can't be eaten, how to test for poisons, all sorts of things.

Once I turned eleven the training got harder. I had to fight Dad with my knives, without getting hit. On top of that was the old physical training, gaining immunity to common poisons that exist in plants and animals, learning how to cook even more dishes from around the world, and learning to feel killing intent. Whenever Dad used true killing intent I just would want to hide, but learning to resist it is part of being a hunter apparently.

About two weeks from my twelfth birthday, Dad finally said it, "You're ready for the exam." He handed me the paperwork with his signature on it, "The ship that will take you to the exam site will be here in a week. Rest till then, because you won't get a moment to during the exam. Or you can start a part of your training that I've been grooming you for this whole time."

"I want to learn more!" Those words later became regret. He started to train me in Nen, by forcing Hatsu through my body. I quickly grasped the basics, learning Ten, Zetsu, and Ren. He wouldn't teach me about the last step though. He said something about having to figure it out later in life. He did teach me something he called Gyo and Kyo though. Gyo was a technique to find hidden Nen, and Kyo was a boost of power to one body part, both offensive and defensive.

On the second to last day before I was to leave, my parents gifted me a knife set, containing six eight-inch Chef's knives, one thirteen-inch carving knife, one carving fork, ten ten-inch fillet knives, two six-inch meat cleavers, and a ten inch sharpening stone. They told me something along the lines of, "These are special made to be weapons on top of tools in the kitchen. Make sure to clean them before cooking!"

That night is when it went to hell. I heard my Mother scream from the kitchen, she probably just cut herself while sleep cooking again, but when I went to check on her, there was a man in a butler suit. He was larger than our door frame, his muscle almost bursting out of the all black outfit he wore. Mom had a hole in her chest, and Dad ran into the room. I could see the Nen bursting off him. He started to transform, his body growing to match the man's as well as claws sprouting from his fingertips. He said two things to me that night.

"First, this is my final stage of Nen, Hatsu. I call it final transformation, a specialist ability that requires me to sacrifice my life. I'm going to toture this man till I see fit, then I'm going to die. Remember that we will live on through your dream. Become the best hunter you can be!" That night was then forever stained into my head. My Father tore through our house, as he ripped apart a man that was once almost twice his size. Once the man was on his deathbed Father fell, dieing almost instantly.

"Why did you do it? WHY" I ran up and kicked the man in the side, right into one of the wounds that Father had left into the man's large torso.

"Because then I could have been a butler for the richest family in the world."

"WHAT KIND OF FAMILY WOULD HIRE A MURDER!" I slammed my foot into his side once again.

"The Zylock family. It was a job from the head butler. Bring a hunter's head and pass, get h…" The man died mid sentence.

My goals had changed at this point. First was vengeance, then my dream.
