Chekov was making his way down to Lexie's quarters, to watch a movie with her. They had started this about a month ago.

The last movie they watched was one from his own childhood, which he was thankful had an English translation version.

Even though he knew Lexie understood a bit of Russian, he highly doubted she would be able to understand a whole movie.

He soon came to her quarters and knocked on the door, a voice from inside called him in.

"Hey Lexie, I'm ready for our movie night." Chekov said excitedly, Lexie smiled at him. "Same here Pavel, come sit."

With a smile on his face, Chekov quickly walked over and sat next to Lexie on her bed. "So, what movie are we watching?"

"It's one I used to watch with my mother, she watched it when she was a little girl and it was her favourite. And it's mine too."

"So what's it called?" Lexie blushed, "You ain't gonna laugh are you?" "Of course not, we promised to watch each other's picks."

Lexie smiled, "Thanks Pavel. The movies called Barbie and the Diamond Castle." Chekov liked the title, he was going to like this.

Soon the movie started, Lexie felt like she was a kid again, sat in bed with her mother on a rainy day. It was a nice memory.

It didn't take long for Chekov to start asking questions, which Lexie didn't mind. She had done it last movie night.

"I like the songs, they're really calming." Lexie nodded, "They sure are, my mother sung them to me to help me sleep."

They both watched on while eating the popcorn that Lexie had somehow managed to get, Chekov didn't question how.

The movie came to a part which made Chekov slightly nervous, he watched as one of the characters walked towards a cliff edge.

He was more than a little relieved when the on screen girl stopped just before the edge.

Lexie chuckled quietly as she watch the Navigator sigh with relief, "This movies for kids?" He questioned.

"Yes Pavel, its made for young children. Don't worry, nothing really bad is going to happen." Lexie replied with a smile.

Chekov wasn't so convinced, he was even less convinced when the two main characters were shoved off a cliff.

He quickly covered his eyes, "You said nothing bad was going to happen?!" He muttered. Once again Lexie chuckled.

"Don't worry Pavel, they're fine. See for yourself." Lexie placed a hand on the Navigators arm, as he slowly lowered his hands.

He once again sighed with relief, "This movies going to give me a heart attack."

Needless to say when the end of the movie came, Chekov was almost in tears which Lexie found adorable.

"What did you think Pavel? Did you like it?" Lexie asked as she flicked off the screen, "It was amazing! I see why you like it."

Lexie smiled as she placed the now empty bowl on her desk, "The music was beautiful." An idea then popped into Lexie's head.

She got from her bed and walked over to her guitar which sat in the corner of the room, Chekov had forgot she played.

As she walked back over to her bed, Lexie began to strum the guitar. Almost instantly Chekov recognised the melody.

"You can play the songs from the movie?" Lexie nodded, "They were the first ones I taught myself."

Chekov just blinked in amazement, "You taught yourself how to play the guitar?"

Lexie nodded, "Yeah, gave me something to do while I was living with Kyle. Took my mind off the things he did."

She replied as she sat down on the bed, "Which one would you like me to play?" "What about 'Believe'?"

"Sure." Lexie began to play while Chekov just listened on, it sounded amazing. Then something happened which shocked him.

Lexie began to sing, she had been on the ship for almost five months and he hadn't once heard her sing.

Her voice was amazing, it was so calming. To the extent that Chekov almost fell asleep listening to it.

Once Lexie had finished the song, Chekov applauded loudly making Lexie blush. "That was brilliant!"

"Aww thanks Pavel." The two of them then chose to call it a night, they had shifts starting early tomorrow.

"Hey Lexie." Chekov called just before the door slid shut, "Yes Pavel?"

"Can we watch that again one day? It was brilliant." Lexie smiled, "Of course Pavel, I have plenty more like that to show you."

Chekov beamed with excitement as he waved goodbye to Lexie as he walked down the hall. He couldn't wait for their next movie night.
