Kirk was enjoying a peaceful chat with McCoy, but for once they weren't in the Doctor's office. Instead they were in the Rec-room.
"We should do this more often, Bones." Kirk stated as he took a sip of his drink, which to the naked eye looked like coffee.
"For once I agree with you Jim, but it's not often the Rec-room is this quiet." Replied McCoy with a smile.
Just then, an Ensign came and stood beside their table, their hands behind their back. Looking very professional.
"My apologies Captain, I do not mean to interrupt." The officer said quickly, "No it's alright, is something wrong?"
The Ensign shuffled about on his feet before answering, "Well Sir, Mr Scott seems to be in a heated argument with someone."
Now that didn't sound right, Scotty didn't get into heated arguments often. "Where is he now?" Kirk asked.
"His quarters Sir, it sounds quite bad. I thought it be best to come and tell you, since I'm unsure what's going on."
Kirk rose from his seat, placing a hand on the Ensigns shoulder. "You did the right thing, come on Bones, let go see what going on."
McCoy nodded as he rose from the table and left alongside Kirk, "This should be interesting, Jim." He said with a small smile.
"It sure will Bones, but it's also a little concerning. Don't you think?" For once, Kirk was the one who was worried.
McCoy smiled softly at his Captain, while giving him a poke in the ribs. "Come on Jim, everything will be fine."
Kirk wasn't too convinced, but he guess McCoy was right. Most likely it was Scotty just arguing with Keenser, in a friendly way.
It was a bit of a walk to Scotty's quarters, but along the way they had been stopped countless times by officers.
All of them wanted to report a disturbance in the CEO's quarters, which was good of them.
But after being stopped twenty times, it got a bit repetitive.
It got to the point Kirk would simply call, "I know, I'm going." To any officer who looked like they were going to stop them.
He just wanted to get there and sort this 'issue' out, what ever that might be. Or there might not even be an issue.
Soon the pair came to the Scotsman's quarters and they could now understand why the crew were concerned.
From within they could hear Scotty yelling and swearing at someone, clearly he was very very annoyed.
"Well, do we knock or just walk in?" Asked Kirk, "Jim, you're the Captain. I'm just a country Doctor." Replied McCoy.
Suddenly someone yelled from inside the room, but its what they yelled which concerned the pair.
"Stop with the lava! That shit fucking burns you know!" Kirk and McCoy turned to face each other, did they hear lava?
That made the pair sprint into the room, but nothing would have prepared them for what was waiting for them.
Sat on the couch, staring intensely at the computer were Scotty and Keenser. They appeared to be playing a video game.
"What on Earth are the pair of you doing?" Asked Kirk sternly, which made the two gaming officer turn round.
"Playing a game, Jim." Answered Scotty, "What game are you playing?" Asked McCoy, "Minecraft." Keenser said.
Kirk looked at the screen to see what the game looked like, it was just blocks! "You're playing that?" Scotty just nodded.
"And how is that resulting in you screaming your head off?" McCoy asked as he folded his arms, he wasn't expecting this.
Scotty was about to answer, when he heard his avatar getting hurt. He whipped his head around to see himself on fire.
"Keenser! For god sake, stop pouring lava at my feet! I'm going to die!" He screamed while running his avatar over to a nearby lake.
He sighed before turning back to face the others, "That's why! I've been trying to build a replica of the Enterprise, but the lad keeps setting me on fire with lava!"
McCoy and Kirk tried to hide their laughter, the two Engineers were acting like children, but they understood Scotty's frustration.
"Fair enough, nothing to worry about though. Anyway, try and keep the yelling to a whisper, you're concerning the crew with all ya yelling."
Scotty's cheeks blushed slightly with embarrassment, "Sorry Jim, I will." Thankfully Scotty didn't yell much more, sort of.
