Izuku sat on the couch, his head buried in his favorite comic book. In the room next to the boy, was his mother in the kitchen. Swiftly finishing up any dishes she had. Just so that she could join her son on the couch. It was a special day after all.

After years, it is finally being hosted in the country she resides in. This year was a great year, it really warmed her heart to see each one of the participants work for their medals and earn their places on the winners podium.

She vaguely remembers watching it continuously.

This year, Tokyo 20xx The Olympics.

Her four-year old son was quiet like a mouse. His eyes not leaving the comic book in front of him if necessary.

Little did she know. That would change once the program actually starts. But like a true mother, she trusted her instincts.

Her instincts were saying that he'd take a shine to the sport. She just knows it.

Finishing cleaning the dishes up, her ears perked up when heard the news cast start talking about the honor it is to host The Olympics in their country. Inko sat down next to her boy and tapped the top of his page, drawing his attention.

"Hey dear, can you please pay attention?" Inko asked kindly, "I'm sure that your friends will be watching and discussing this."

Izuku nodded, knowing that his stuttering will always be easier to avoid with a topic in mind. It helps that his friends will know the topic too. Inko ruffled the boys' hair.

"Once again, thank you for choosing this channel to watch The Olympics. We are currently at the stadium casting it live to your homes." The presenter said, he sat at a table, headphones over his ears to drown out the cheering from around him.

Music erupted once again as the television showed the stadium itself. Surrounded by buildings. Fireworks were lit and that definitely got Izuku's attention. He was always drawn to fireworks and their pretty colors.

Inko sniffled a laugh at her son's wide eyes.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the national flag of Japan." They announced as eight people walked out. Dressed in red and white, they walked down the open space. They are followed by six people who are carrying the flag to the middle of the open space. For everyone to see.

Once in the middle, the flag was connected to a pole by military officers. "Please stand up for the national anthem of Japan."

The camera had cut to the famous singer. Who held a microphone by her mouth, ready to sing.

After the famous singer's performance. Groups of people walked in, each group had someone waving a flag. A different flag each time.

Izuku turned to his mother with a finger raised to the tv. "Which country is that, mom?"

Inko looked at the screen and back at her son. "That's The United States, 'zuku. That's where your father lives and works."

"Their flag is so cool!" His eyes shone as if stars had taken place in them.

With wide eyes, Izuku was locked onto the screen. Not paying attention to anything else around him, situational awareness be damned. He was mesmerized by their special choreography.

Only thing he could imagine was having a friend with such a cool skill.

His mother looked at him with clear adoration in her eyes. Her boy was so focused and just so cute.

On the tv, a man stood underneath a bar. Looking up with determination in his eyes. "Presenting, Tadashi Hamada. He's been actively performing in the world of gymnastics, always showing off one of the hardest routines. Will he be able to execute it perfectly or will he stagger and lose points? You'll never know how it'll end, welcome to the Horizontal bar final of The Olympics"

The man waved and was pushed up by someone behind him. Tadashi grabs onto the bar and pushes himself forward only to swing back and forth.

Izuku tilted his head at the man.

Tadashi then pulled himself up from the swing backwards into a perfect form holding himself up, like a straight plank stuck to a bar.

With mouth open, Izuku gaped at the man. The little boy wishes he could do that.

With two full swings he leapt up in the air to twist around and latch onto the bar again.

Izuku gasped.

The man repeated that each time, with his own amount of twist and turns. Each time, the boy gasped.

"Mom?" The boy turned to her, stars in his eyes. "Can I do that? And on TV too?" He gasped out.

Inko laughed, "I'll have to talk with your dad." She leant down and whispered, "Did you know he did that too? They always called him The Dragon of USA."

"The Dragon of USA." Izuku tried saying it out in a whisper. Another wave of excitement hit him. "I want to be the second Dragon of The USA!" He exclaimed with one of his famous determined gazes.

With a fond expression, Inko folded. "You can be whatever you want, dear." She said and caressed his baby cheeks.

The mother wouldn't be surprised if he inherited that from his father. He had the exact same look whenever he looked at an impossible challenge.

Inko Shimura-Midoriya was absolutely thrilled when she called her husband to tell him about their kids' new goal. "Hisashi. He wants to be an Olympic athlete! In the exact same category you did." the mother sniffed, "He said he wanted to be the second Dragon of The USA."

Inko would cry a whole ocean at how cute the boy actually is.

Her husband stayed quiet for a bit. "Well then, I don't think we should waste his time then." With a deep breath in, "This just solidifies my plans. I was thinking about bringing you two here, since my salary has risen again. You two can be close. Izuku could train under me and a former teammate of mine. He'll live out his dream." The man said, home sick and eager to teach his son all about his first passion.

Inko felt her chest swell with excitement. Her son would live his dream out. They can be together as a family again. "Yes. We'll come to you."

The man let out a happy sound. "Great, I'll arrange it. I'm going to keep you updated dear! We will all be together soon!"

Spoiler, soon. Wasn't that far away.

Two weeks later they have their documents ready to up and go. Izuku stood next to her, shaking in excitement. They had said bye to the Bakugo's. The parents shook their heads when they talked about the current big thing in Japan.

How Izuku will come and try to visit each vacation and keep him updated on his process to be one of the best athletes around.

The two Midoriya's cried at the airport as the Bakugo's shouted their goodbyes.

"Dad!" A boy with green-hair shouted running at the man he called dad.

"Izuku!" The man shouted with thrill that could rival the comic book superhero called All Might.

Inko gasped as she saw her husband. Rushing at the man, bagage in her hand.

Hisashi put his arms around his family. He Immediately felt better, knowing that they're okay and always with him. In person too!

With a strangled sob, Inko looked the man in the eyes and kissed him. Foreheads against one another, "I love you and I missed you." She cried out.

With his hand running through her straight green hair. "I'm never leaving you two." He said with a hoarse voice. "Never."

Izuku gasped at the house. In Japan they had lived in a modest apartment, not really needing the extra space that was just for the two of them. But this house, he would choose a big room over a small room anytime.

"Welcome home, Izuku." The Dragon of the USA said and ruffled his hair.

Izuku nuzzled into the man's touch. "It's good to be home, dad." His voice wavered. Sure, he'd miss Japan. But he would rather be with his mom and dad together.

"This is Chris Skyline!" Hisashi introduced as he clapped the man's back. "He's a former Olympic gymnast, he has one gold and three bronze medals to his name! He'll be your main coach and I'll be his assistant coach." Izuku understands. After all, it is hard to coach your son and work as an engineer.

With a big smile, Skyline crouched down. "You and me buddy!" He said with a hand in the air. "Give me a high-five and we will be the best coach and gymnast, ever!"

Izuku excitedly gave the man his high five, not even understanding a single english word that came out of the man's mouth.

"You're already stealing my own son away from me." Hisashi pouted and glared at the former gymnast.

"It's our son now!" The man said and nodded at Izuku with a big smile. "How can I say no to such a cutie!"

Not knowing what to do, Izuku just nodded back at the man.

Hisashi gasped, "High betrayal."

"Welcome to the national gymnastic event of the USA. This is held in Texas with the name of the Winter Cup! Today we have "

A look of determination burned in the boy's eyes.

He grabbed onto the bar as he was pushed up. He let his mind rest and his body do the rest.

He pushed himself forward and turned into a full round and stopped in a handstand once he was on top of the bar.

Like his first spark of inspiration from the older athletes. Izuku twisted and flipped, ready to grab the bar in a millisecond. If he wasn't ready each millisecond, the consequences he could suffer from hitting the hard bar incorrectly could end his whole career.

After he finished his routing he jumped off and held his chin high. A proud smile on his face as he held his hand in an upwards motion.

"There we had it, Izuku Midoriya. The 15-year old prodigy is being rated as we speak." After the scores had been announced, they added, "He has been invited to have a talk afterwards!" with a look at the camera the announcer winked, "Don't be afraid to stick around!"

"It's nice to have you here." The interview started.

"Well, it's good to be here. I don't think I have gotten the chance to ever do an interview." He replied. He may sound confident, but honestly. The anxiety of saying something wrong is eating himself up from the inside.

The interviewer smiled at the prodigy. "Then we'll have to go easy on you. What do you think about your gain of popularity?" He asked.

The boy looked confused as he tilted his head, "I've gained popularity?"

The interviewer and crowd laughed a bit. "Yes you have my boy! They've all been charmed by your determination each time you get ready to go on that bar and do your routine." the man said and squinted his eyes. "Like you have dragon eyes, or fox eyes! about to do something sly and put all our jaws on the ground.

Izuku turned a bit red and rubbed the back of his neck. "I didn't know I did that."

The interviewer, Rob. Now looked at the crowd and cracked a smile. "Well, good to know the prodigy doesn't let the popularity get into his head."

Izuku chuckled nervously.

"What are your hobbies and interests outside of the sport?"

Izuku's attention was on Rob. "Well, I've taken up swimming on my rest days since I was about, like six years ol?! I really like it, feeling free in the water and all that!" He rambled, "I think I might have to ask my coaches if I can do it more actively." He tilted his head as he got deep into thought, "I might want to start swimming competitively as well."

Izuku mentally resetted and shook his head, "I got a little off topic, sorry." He said sheepishly.

The man laughed, "That's no problem." He looked at one of his flashcards. "How are your studies coming along?"

"I'm finishing high school as we speak." Izuku answered. "I've decided to focus on gymnastics. School takes up a lot of my time with their hectic scheduling, it doesn't really clash with my hectic schedule."

"Hear that folks? He lives and breathes sports. Looks like he's a brainiac as well!" The crowd chuckled. "Do you go to a private school?"

Izuku shook his head, "Online, actually." He said, "I mostly camp out at the library to help me get motivated to get my work done. I've made a few friends there!"

Grandma Betty is a bit of a grinch though…But they won't know that.

The interviewer smiled, "Good to hear!" He leaned a bit forwards. "What are your goals?"

"My goal for sports, is to represent the USA in the Olympics." He said with a small smile as he held his head up high. "With that goal. I also hope to inspire like others did to inspire me. I want them to be able to announce, 'I'm here!' with pride and intimidate their opponents." With a pause he continued, "In conclusion, I just want to extend a hand to help."He looked back at his dad when he realized everyone was quiet like a mouse.

Hisashi Midoriya was such a proud dad right now. He just nodded and held his thumbs up for his son.

Izuku smiled at him and then the crowd.

The crowd erupted into cheers and whistles.

"God, you're such a good kid!" Rob said as he clapped his hands. "We're rooting for you!"

Just a mixed kid from Japan, here to follow my goals!
Gymnast/Swimmer

Half a year after the Winter Cup in Texas, Izuku had participated in another gymnastics event and attended about five different swimming meets. It was the season after all. Trying to put in the effort to end up as no. 1 each time.

"Hey kid. You impressed quite a few people." Chris, his coach said with a clipboard in his hands.

Izuku stopped at the railing of the swimming pool. He tilted his head as he looked up at his Uncle.

"I can do my college online." Izuku said after a few silent seconds and sighed. "Can Stanford please stop pressing on it?"

Christopher barked out a laugh, "It ain't Stanford this time! We're talking about NOC here."

Izuku quickly pulled himself out of the water and sat on the ledge. "Can you repeat that. I'd rather not drown if what I am hearing was correct."

"You heard me right boy, I know you did!" The man said with a fond smile, "You're going to the Youth Olympics."

Cue a fainting Izuku.

Youth Olympics here I come!
Gymnast/Swimmer/Professional Fainter

With his camera pointed at himself, Izuku stood at the airport. "Welcome to my vlogs as I will be running around here! I have no clue where I'm supposed to go so this'll be a mystery for all of us!" He said with a smile and turning around once a hand was on his shoulder. Showing his dad.

"Izu! You were wandering off the wrong way!" The man stressed.

"I just found an interactive map!" Izuku said to the camera and pointed to his dad, "Let's go!"

The man sighed as he felt another few hairs turn gray. Izuku smiled and ended the video. Quickly posting it as he looked at his dad.

They made their way as they were escorted by a YOG escort. Izuku waved at the press who were taking pictures.

A small 'aw' was heard through the crowd.

Izuku squeaked and turned red. He gripped the straps of his shoulder bag.

"So this is the village?" Izuku asked as he sipped water through a straw.

His father and Uncle Chris nodded.

"We're early." Izuku noted that he only saw a few coaches with their trainee's.

"Better ealy so you can familiarize yourself with everything, 'Zuku." His dad said, "I know you get uneasy in new environments and places."

Izuku huffed, "I'm not that bad." He pouted. A question then popped in his mind. "Can I explore on my own?"

"Of course." Uncle Chris said, "But you have to keep to our schedule. School periods turned into free periods."

His dad continued, "And we don't want you overtraining anything these two weeks." the father pondered about another thing and looked at his kid. "Food is free, but don't overeat and don't forget to eat."

Izuku rubbed the back of his neck.

"You start with gymnastics on day two." His father specified.

Izuku knows this, he has been researching everything known about the Youth Olympic Games.

"And on day seven, you'll be swimming." Coach Chris continued. "We do need to discuss-"

Izuku being nervous to meet his roommate for the rest of the Youth Olympics is an understatement. They only get to see who they were paired up with in person to avoid prejudice and jealousy.

He was just glad that they're not from the same sport. Some people in his gymnastics and swimming events weren't that happy with him.

Most called him an attention hog due to already having his first televised interview.

Taking a deep breath, he looked at the numbers on his door.

'5'

'7'

He turned around and facepalmed, those are uneven numbers. Even numbers on the other side Turning a bit red, he looked at the number eight taunting him.

He looked at the paper on his door.

[USA, Izuku Midoriya] & [JPN, Eijiro Kirishima]

"Let's see who I'm going to be roomies with." He muttered under his breath. He held the doorknob in his hand and knocked before scanning his way into the room.

"Hey!" An excited voice rang out.

Izuku jumps and swears his heart was about to cartwheel out of his chest. Maybe his dad was right about being uneasy in new places.

With a faint smile, Izuku got his heartbeat under control. "Hello." He held his hand out. "Izuku Midoriya." He said stiffly.

"No need to be nervous Midoriya-san!" The black haired teenager said with broken English and a smile on his face.

[ITALICS IS JAPANESE]

Izuku bowed, "It's nice to meet you." He said in Japanese.

Eijiro's eyes widened as he returned the bow, "Wow! Your Japanese is good! Please tell me you speak French as well as that. I tried finding this place with my coach and got lost thrice."

Izuku rubbed the back of his neck, "I'm American-Japanese. Mom kept talking to me in Japanese in order to not let me forget the language." he explained. "But I can speak french! A forgein language was necessary in order to complete high school." He then added, "You can call me Izuku. It's weird being called by my last name now."

"Call me Ejiro then, and bro, your mother is so manly!" The black-haired teenager said and bumped his fists together. "Midoriya-kun! We're going to be best friends by the time the Olympics end!" Determination evened out the adoration in his voice, "How did you finish High school already!"

"I just don't mind studying that much, good time to just get my mind off of things." The boy said embarrassed. "What are you participating in?"

"Boxing! People back home gave me the nickname Riot! How about you?"

Izuku gaped, already turning into the guy's number one fan. "I don't have a nickname!" He grumbled. "I'm participating in artistic gymnastics, only the horizontal bars."

"So manly!" The teen shouted, "Want to explore the village?"

"Definitely, but I should unpack my stuff first." Izuku nodded. "Let's start with the canteen after I'm done! Actual food beats airplane food."

"Oh yeah, dude. My flight was like 40 hours long! I was dying!" Kirishima said dramatically.

"40 hours! I could never." Izuku said and kept talking to Ejiro. It was easy to do so as well, which is a first. The athlete has a comforting aura that just makes Izuku want to keep talking with him.

Izuku roamed the small library of the Olympic village. The youth Olympics represents teens training for their goals. Their goals not only include the physical part but also the mental part.

If the green-haired kid hadn't planned out the amount of trips with Eijiro-kun, he would've definitely visited the different workshops they offered.

Grabbing a book about dynamics in different environments. He walked around, or well. He did until he bumped into someone.

"I am so sorry." He blurted out and picked up the books from the person he bumped into. His English had a slight accent to it now, since he kept talking Japanese with Eijiro.

"It's fine! It always happens to me too." A feminine voice called out.

Izuku is a nervous wreck. Finally looking up at the person instead of the ground. He saw an admirable person that took the wrestling community by storm.

"You're Melissa Shield!" he blurted out, turning red.

"That I am." She chuckled and then squinted her eyes at him. "You're Izuku Midro-!"

"Wow, it's so cool to meet you!" He gushed, "I've seen one of your interviews and wow! You're so cool for keeping up the legacy of your father! It gave me motivation of my own." He began to ramble.

Melissa laughed, "I was about to say the same thing about you! My dad thought you looked similar to one of his old friends he made in the village back in the day. Hisashi? I think it was-"

Izuku nodded, "Hisashi Midoriya. The Dragon of the USA is what they called him." He definitely didn't mind gushing about his dad.

"That's such a cool nickname. Do you have one?"

Izuku shook his head, "I haven't heard anything of it."

Melissa held a fist up, "Well, you should be the Serpent or something! That'd be cool, cause of your swimming and smooth gymnastics tricks and all." She said excitedly. Taking a card out of her pocket, she pushed it in his hands. "Here take my number! Don't be afraid to text me! We'll be seeing a lot of each other these ten days!" She called out as she walked away.

Izuku is a blushing mess. "W-Will do?" he called back faintly.

Youth Olympics, I AM HERE!
Gymnast/Swimmer/Professional Fainter

Izuku sat on the tribunes, along with the rest of the athletes representing the USA. Melissa sat next to him. Gushing about the book she had borrowed from the library.

Izuku wasn't surprised about her interest in science. As her father did a lecture about being an athlete and a scientist. It must probably run in the family.

So did his family too, actually. His father was overseas due to his job as an engineer that kept him in the States.

The two did quiet down once the countries started to be announced.

"Introducing Jamaica with their official language, English." The commentator announced that an athlete around their age walked across the stage with a flag over their shoulder.

"Présentation de la Jamaïque avec sa langue officielle, l'anglais." Someone else repeated it in french.

The two nerds clapped their hands for the athlete as they heard the crowd roar.

"Introducing Japan with their official language, japanese." A familiar black-haired teenager walked across the stage with a fist held up high, a flag on his shoulder. Along with his typical determined look in his eyes.

The two American Athletes their jaw dropped. After picking it up, they started hollering, "GO EI!"

"YOU GO!"

Not that they'd know, but the Youth olympic team recorded their moment and immediately posted them on their account.

Once the three found time to check their phones after the opening ceremony. They just gaped at their screens.

"The Olympics account just posted us." Izuku just said with a blank face.

Melissa was scrolling through the comments as Ei just pumped his fist in the air, "So manly!"

"Vogue just Dmed me?" Izuku said.

The other two nodded, "Joint photo session and joint interview! Hell yeah!" Kirishima once again pumped his fist up in the air. "Let's do it! I have a break after this event is done."

"I do too." Melissa said.

Izuku just nodded, "I think it'd be good for us." He then tilted his head, "Melissa, did you just get verified as well?"

Melissa nodded, "I suddenly have 15k followers."

"Are we famous now?" Izuku asked.

"Yep!" Kirishima said and gave the two an example of his famous life, "Boxing is a big part of the culture back in Japan. I always get offered free ramen if I walk into a shop and they recognize me. One even has a picture of the owner and I hung up."

"Wow." Melissa gaped and then gasped at her screen. "I can't believe that Toshinori Yagi. Actually commented about us." Melissa said as she shoved the screen in their faces.

They had found a middle ground to talk about, and that is the 'All Might' comic books. They all had posted about it.

The Prodigy trio stuck together for the remaining few days before the start of their events. Even accompanying each other in the gyms. Their coaches have given up on their gym sessions, but still supervised them to make sure they finished their sets and reps.

After spending a complete week together, it was time for the first event. As it now is day two of the Youth Olympics.

"Welcome to day two. Today we start off with the men's artistic gymnastics. Entering the stage are all the participants." The man listed some of the names, "Izuku Midroiya, 16-years old representing the USA. Bart Kleure, 17-years old representing The Netherlands and then we hav-"

Izuku followed the group of young athletes onto the stage and gave the roaring crowd a wave.

He stood tall amongst the others. Balancing on two of his feet, he pulled the hem of his tracksuit down a bit.

"And now we will begin with the Japan representative!-" Izuku blocked the rest out as he bowed and walked off of the stage, behind the dutchman.

Pulling his vest off and showing his athletic wear. He reached for his pouch and rubbed his hands in effort to warm it up.

Izuku patted some chalk under his arms and rubbed his chalk covered hands. He did a few nervous jumps as the athlete touched down on the ground.

"Izu-kun!" he heard a familiar voice shout.

The 16-year old turned back and saw a hollering Ei and a giggling Melissa. "You can do this!" She shouted.

"Why?" Ei continued.

Izuku gave them a smile, "Because I am here!" He shouted right back at them with a smile.

"That was an amazing performance of the athlete from Kazakhstan. Now, the USA athlete, Izuku Midroiya will take the stage and perform his routine-"

Izuku continued blocking out the commentator. That was one of his things that got him really nervous. He held his hand up and bowed to the crowd, indirectly at the judges.

He turned and stepped underneath the bar. He felt the presence of his Uncle next to him. "You ready Izu?" Determination burned in his eyes.

He nodded, "Ready as I can be." He said and held his breath as he shook the nervous energy off of his body.

"I'm proud of you." Coach Chris said as Izuku took a small jog and jumped up to grab the bar in a sumo grip.

(I don't really know much about describing the sport so I'm basing this off on real footage that you can find here.)

Showing extreme muscle control, he swung his legs forward. Once and twice. Once he was on top, he dropped his tightly pressed legs against one another between his arms . As he did a full circle, he then let go of one hand as he turned his whole body around to another two full circles to gain speed.

Letting go, he performed a 'one-and-a-half with a twist'. He latched onto the bar as he dropped down. After doing another two circles to gain speed. He lets go and turns his whole body around in 180° with a twist. (otherwise known as, backwards giant 540 C)

He effortlessly grabbed onto the bar again.

After gaining speed once again, he repeated the previous tricks but mixed them up. Without delay he did half a circle and stood still for a small fraction of milliseconds. (Otherwise known as Zou Li Min C)

He dropped down and tightened his grip before letting go and feeling his gut tug backwards. He felt himself go down and saw the bar. Not wasting any time, he locked his hands on the bar. That was a giant swing with a hop into a undegrip.

After doing another giant swing, he hopped back, his face still turned forwards with a spread of his legs. Before locking his hands in another grip he twisted around and felt his back turned to the crowd. Eyes on his back.

He swung himself back up with his arms into a handstand.

Of course, he then dropped himself into an incomplete swing. His legs between his legs. He pushed himself back up.

He did not waste his speed to go into a handstand. Instead, he held his grip tightly as he let go of one hand and turned his body into three full circles. Only to grab his released hand back onto the bar, his back still turned to the crowd.

For the last tricks he performed, he did a giant swing and stopped into a handstand on the bar. He turned with a twist and latched onto the bar once again.

Another full swing. A few twists and turns here and there.

Three full swings.

He let go.

A double double tucked over the bar ended his performance.

He landed and squatted down to load the force that came over him. Arms stretched out in front of him.

He stopped blocking everyone out.

The crowd erupted into shouts and whistles. It only got louder as he jumped up, legs stretched out and arms into a v-pose up above his head.

He smiled at the crowd and did the typical pose of All Might before turning to the otherside of the crowd and bowed before walking off of stage.

Izuku nearly collapsed as he hugged his father. His main coach stood ready with a towel and cold water. The boy turned his head at the tribunes behind him.

"Holy shit!" Melissa shouted when Izuku turned his head.

"Prodigy for a reason!" Ei shouted.

"Izuku Midoriya, USA. Scored a 7.500 for difficulty, 6.000 for execution and 1.5 as penalty. A total score of 12.000." The judge announced.

"So far, you're on top, son." His dad said and grabbed his shoulder. "You did good my boy." He sniffed.

"Dad," Izuku whined, "Stop, I'm going to cry if you don't stop."

His uncle clapped the two Midoriya's on their backs. "Don't cry on international TV please. Save that for the actual Olympics." Chris wiggled his eyebrows.

Izuku's ears perked when he started hearing his friends chant, "Serpent of USA!". His eyes widened. The rest of the crowd started chanting as well.

"Serpent of USA!"

Izuku turned around to look at each one of the people in the crowd. He felt tears prickle his ears as he bowed at his friend. Mouthing a quick, 'You two are the best.'

"Looks like the crowd named the young athlete, Izuku Midoriya as 'The Serpent of USA.' Most likely a tribute to his father who was called, 'The Dragon of USA.'" The announcer reported.

The last person, or well. Bert from The Netherlands. They performed well, but didn't achieve enough to end on top, but finished third.

Izuku felt pressure build up in his chest.

"Izuku, Serpent of USA, Midoriya wins first place. Hirokoshi Aka-"

Just a mixed kid from Japan, here to follow my goals!
Youth Olympics, I AM HERE!
Serpent of USA.
Gymnast/Swimmer/Professional Fainter

Izuku hummed as he wandered the halls of the artistic gymnasts. It was the turn for women to do their thing, in about 15 minutes.

Stupid thing is, he really can't find the snackbar.

He tugged his vest open. reveling in the cold air conditioning that hit his chest. He stopped in his steps as he walked past a dark hall.

'That's weird. Halls stay lit all the time.' He thought and decided to check it out. He walked into the hallway and his eyes widened when he heard a sob.

He cleared his throat. "I'm going to turn the light on, okay?" He said softly. He honestly doesn't know what to do.

Another sob was heard.

He clicked the light on and it was way more dimmed than the one in the main hallway. Where he was definitely thankful for.

The gymnast frowned when he laid his eyes on a dark-skinned girl with pink hair pulled into a tight bun.

She was sitting down, arms wrapped around her legs. Izuku bit his lip and sat next to the girl, keeping his distance so he won't scare her off.

Honestly, he doesn't have that much experience with calming others down. Most of the time, he was the one they had to calm down!

He set his closed, cold water bottle next to her hips. "My mom says it's hard to cry while drinking water."

The girl let out another sob, not even moving a single bit. He did get a short look at her identification card that they were required to wear in the stadium and in the village. 'Japanese?'. He cussed himself for not getting a read on her name.

He repeated his sentence in Japanese "My mom says it's hard to cry while drinking water."

The girl's head snapped up at Izuku. Wide gold eyes look up into his understanding, green eyes. "W-Why are you doing this?" She asked shakingly.

"In hopes that it helps." He said and inched only a bit closer. "What got you so down?" He asked calmly.

She looked back down at her hands. "I-I don't know if I'm actually good enough for this." She exclaimed quietly, grinding her teeth in frustration. A few tears leaked from her eyes.

Izuku gulped nervously., "Contact or distance?" He asked.

After a few seconds of silence, he started facepalming mentally. 'Why am I asking someone I've never met, if she wants contact or distance like? How stupid am-'

"Contact." The girl said in English and then latched onto his arm.

Izuku being surprised is an understatement. He checked his watch as he saw that she still had eleven minutes left. He then wrapped an arm around the gir and pulled her a bit closer.

"I think I need to put a name on the girl that I am hugging right now." He joked lightly.

"Mina Ashido." She said with a hoarse voice.

"Izuku Midoriya." He introduced himself, after an impulsive thought. He gently grabbed her chin and guided her face to look at his.

"Mina Ashido, is a wonderful name for someone that'll do great." He hummed and blushed a bit at the intensity of the eyes that were looking at him. "I don't know what got you down and crying. But that isn't important. Out there?" He said and he nodded his head to the stage.

"Out there, that is just you, your routine and your heart. I might not know you, but I can see that you worked for this. You worked your ass off, you deserve to be here." He said and smiled at her in hope that it would stop her tearing up eyes.

Like it's a mantra, he repeated himself again."It's only the music, your routine and most importantly, you." He wiped a stray tear from her cheek. "I'm sure that you deserve to be here like the rest of us." Izuku said with a smile full of adoration.

Mina looked at Izuku once more before smiling once, and then crying immediately after. Izuku's eyes widened, thinking that he said something wrong.

She shook her head at the panicking boy. "You didn't say anything wrong." She sobbed out, "You're great, thank you." She said and wrapped the boy into a thankful hug.

"You're right, out there. It's only music, routine and I." She then looked back at the boy, "I wouldn't mind you being there as well." she said shyly.

"I was planning on it the second you asked me why I'm doing this."

Motives change fast, okay?

"You never gave a direct answer on that." The girl laughed a bit as she wiped away her tears.

Izuku stood up and held his vest in his hand. Handing it to the girl, "I do it in hopes that it'll help others." He said with a smile on his face. "You ought to get up though, we only have seven minutes left. I think you'd like to refresh in the bathroom before performing."

The girl stood up and wrapped Izuku's vest around herself. She forgot to wear her jacket in panic about crying on TV. "Toilets are around the corner. I'll be outside in a few seconds."

Mina walked back out the bathroom, looking normal. As if she had never cried in a dim hallway.

It concerned Izuku.

"Four minutes. You should be with your coach." He said and let her lock their arms together. He led her to the entrance to the stage.

She stopped before the light and camera's would fall on her. Unlocking their arms from one another, she pulled him down by his shoulder and stood on her tiptoes to kiss his cheek.

"For good luck." Mina Ashido grinned before waving and running back out to her coach.

Izuku faintly traced his cheek. His face was red and the bottle was forgotten as it dropped on the floor.

Before the announcer could start doing their thing, he quickly smiled and rushed to pick the bottle off of the floor. He speedwalked into the tributes and sat down between Melissa and Eijiro.

"What got you so red, Izu?"

"Did you not find the snackbar?" Ei asked with a frown on his face.

Izuku just smiled, "Just helped someone."

"And the food?" Ei asked once again.

"Ei!" Melissa scolded, "You can get it if you want it so badly."

"Maybe I will."

"Then do it." Melissa shot back.

"Fine." Kirishima said excitedly and walked down to the side.

"Welcome to the women's floor exercise!" The announcer reported, "Today will these ladies will be scored at-"

Izuku held small talk with Melissa as he kept looking down at Mina.

"Entering the stage are all the participants, starting off with Japan's gymnast, Mina Ashido!" He announced.

Izuku stood up and cheered. He saw Mina look up at him before shrugging off his jacket. Mina then walked up on the stage as the announcer kept announcing the others their names.

Once they all stood in a row, she bowed and sent a wink along with a kiss in his direction.

Izuku immediately reddened as he smiled at the girl with a thumbs up at her.

Day 4 .

"Yes! Beat his ass Ei!" Melissa shouted with her fist up in the air.

"You can do it? Why? Because you are HERE!"

That gave him the confidence boost as he delivered the final knockout. He also did the All Might pose as the referee held his hand up in the air.

Day 7.

"Give us those lovely three numbers Mel!" Izuku cried out at his best friend.

Kirishima just shook his fist, "Show her how manly you are!" He shouted.

"At the ref is counting down, 1,2,."

Izuku was on the edge of his seat and jumped up to hug Eijiro as they celebrated Melissa's win.

Melissa held her hand up high in the air, keeping up with the tradition the three made as All Might fans.

The crowd went crazy.

Again.

Day 7.

After placing second in his swimming competition. He walked out in an open bathrobe. He was positive that he wouldn't come across someone before he even reached the showers.

But he guessed wrong.

"Hey, green. Good job today." Mina said in English, her hair out of her bun, showing off a proud pink afro. He quite likes her hair like that.

Izuku was confused at her perfect English but quickly shrugged it off. He also speaks Japanese whenever he gets very anxious. "Thank you, pinky?" He tried.

Mina smiled at him as she stood in front of him in his jacket. "Pinky has a nice ring to it." She then frowned a bit, "I'm going home right after the winners podium. I thought I'd say bye before I get too swallowed up with doing my homework in my room."

Izuku frowned a bit but held his hand out, "I guess I'll see you at the Olympics in a few years."

Pinky laughed and grabbed his hand, only to pull him into a hug. "I sure can't wait to see you at the Olympics." she smiled

He smiled and hugged her by the waist, afraid that he'll mess up her hair. "You can always text me."

"We're athletes, Izukun." Mina shook her head, "I'm always spending my time in the gym or working on some project for school, I might be able to spare a few textes. But other than that I think I feel better when I see you in person."

"Oh." Sure, he was bummed. But he respected her wishes.

"I'll see you at the medal ceremony. I think you'd look good with a gold and silver medal around your neck." She giggled as she let go of the hug. Kissing his cheek, she whispered. "I certainly don't mind if you will look like that at the ceremony." She said and poked his abs.

Izuku immediately turned red. "Mina!" He exclaimed and rubbed the back of his neck.

But she was already making her way around a corner. "See you in a few years, Green!"

"Yeah, see you." He said weakly.

Normally, there would be a ceremony for their medals after each event. But since the athletes were still young. They decided to let them rest and do it on the last day instead.

Standing in his gray tracksuit he has been wearing with the American flag proudly pinned on his chest.

"Winner of the first place in the gymnastics, horizontal bar. Izuku Midoriya."

He bowed forward as a member of the Olympics and placed a golden medal around his neck. He smiled and whispered a quick 'thank you'.

He smiled at the camera and posed with the other winners of the horizontal bars.

After seeing his friends receiving their gold medals. He let out a few tears and cheered the loudest.

Then once again, he stepped onto the number two of the winners podium. He received the medal around his neck and smiled at the crowd in front of him, and waved around him.

He made eye contact with his friends and smiled.

Then, he looked at Mina. She gave him a smile that would make his heart clench. He smiled back and bowed in her direction. As a 'goodbye' and a 'see you soon'.

She bowed back.

A determined look in both their eyes.

A silent promise that they'd see each other in the Olympics.

"Toshinori Yagi just texted each one of us, right?" Eijiro gaped as they were all sat down at a picnic table for their final day in the Olympic village.

"He offered me a role in an anime he's producing." Izuku said, in shock.

"Me too!" Melissa and Eijiro shouted.

"Once I'm done with uni I'll have enough time. Producing an anime does take a lot of time" Izuku said as he smiled at his friends. Seeing that his dad is waving from a distance. He stood up.

So did Melissa and Eijiro.

He pulled the two in a hug. "Thank you." He said, his voice wavering a bit.

"This isn't goodbye." Melissa said and tightened her arms around the green bean.

"Yeah, we'll see each other at Vogue." Kirishima definitely got better in English by the time he arrived here. Just showing how adaptable he is.

"Where was that again?"

"L.A." Izuku said as he wiped away a tear. "You can stay at my home. No need for a hotel." He choked out.

"Yeah. We will." Kirishima said and put his fists together. "I will miss both of your manliness."

They laughed.

SHOW MORE COMMENTS

Izuku disregarded reading any of the comments and just locked his phone and slipped it into his pocket.

"It's nice to give us free tickets."

"You won two medals, 'Zuku. It's good PR." Hisashi said and clicked his tongue. "You should probably prepare for some

Shrugging, he clutched his shoulder bag and sat next to his dad. Coach Chris wouldn't be joining him for this flight.

"What time are we boarding again?"

"Good afternoon passengers. This is the pre-boarding announcement for flight 89B to Tokyo. We are now inviting passengers with children, and first class passengers. Please have your boarding pass and identification ready. Regular boarding will begin in approximately ten minutes time. Thank you." They announced through the intercom.

"Now."

Izuku walked between the lanes of seats. Worrying that his small bag might hit anyone. Small effect of always flying economics.

Now that he is in first class, he has all the space to swing around.

So he did.

Thump!

He turned around and began apologizing, "Oh gods, I am so sorry. I did not mean to-"

A giggle knocked him out of his apologetic state.

"What are you doing on this plane here, Greeny?"

His jaw dropped, "Mina?"

He felt a jab at his chest, "That's Pinky for you." She huffed, "Where are you sitting?"

"5B."

"Hey! I'm 6B." She wiggled her eyebrows, "You're my seat buddy now. Just keep the window up, I'd miss your cute face."

Izuku frowned, "Aren't you on the wrong side to get into your cubicle?"

"Shit! I am."
