Summer, July 6th 2035, Friday – Fredbear Lux Hotel - 40F – Suite 4000-4099 Hallways

2:30 AM

Chica, Roxanne, and Gregory got whatever belongings they could together before deciding to venture out of their hotel suite. They were planning on leaving and not coming back tonight. They all stayed in their sleeping clothes, all three wearing just shorts, shirts and slippers, to hell with taking anymore time just to change and look decent, they did not want to stick around if this in fact had something to do with the Twisted Wolf.

Chica had her bag, it easily converted to a backpack freeing up her hands. Roxanne's bag also had the ability to be carried like a backpack as well. She scooped up whatever clothes she had laying around, her gaming stuff, charger and charging pad for themselves, slinging it over her back with both straps. Gregory was all set with his bag already.

They checked their iPhones to see if there was any news reports of what was happening. Reports of a fire on the building grounds at the large power station utility building outside behind the hotel making the rounds on Twitter and news sites. Gregory noticed flashing red lights coming from far below through the large glass windows in their suite. Fire sirens could be heard as well.

"Guess we now know why the power didn't come back." Gregory commented.

They also tried calling Jerry Rooster on his cell phone downstairs but he didn't answer.

"I hope Jerry is okay." Chica said.

"Will stop by to check on him." Roxanne said.

Chica grabbed a frying pan from the suite's kitchen before they decided to venture out their room.

They also worried about the innocents in the building, they knew the ferocious robo wolf would tear right through them to get to the trio if it was here. They peaked out in the hallway outside their suite. It was dark, quiet with the exception of some friendly and confused guests coming out of their rooms with flashlights of their own via the camera lights on their smartphones.

A young couple in their 20's, Dan and Jenny was across the hall from them, the door to their suite directly across from the trio's suite.

"Hey…your Roxanne Wolf…from the Glamrock Band!" Dan said.

Roxanne paused hoping the man wasn't going to pick a time like this to get an autograph.

"You work for Fazbear. Any idea what's going on?" Dan asked.

Roxanne felt relief. She was about to answer then Dan's girlfriend chimed in.

"We tried calling the desk downstairs from our cell phones, since the room phones are dead, but all we get is dead air. Isn't this place supposed to have back up power?" Jenny asked.

"Yes normally these buildings have a backup generator and it should have kicked in by now. But if you haven't heard there is a fire at the power station behind this building that's why power is gone. I don't think it's safe for you guys to stay here. You should get your things and get out of here. The stairwells should be open, let anyone else you come across know too." Roxanne said.

"Thanks Roxanne, aren't you three leaving too?" Dan asked.

"We want to warn others on the floor before we get going ourselves. You go on ahead." Roxanne said.

"Okay, nice meeting you, and good luck!" Dan said before he and Jenny took their bags and left for the stairwell.

"Roxy, aren't we going to get out of here too? Shouldn't we be going with them?" Gregory asked.

"We are but were taking a different way out. There is another stairwell only Fazbear employees have access to, my Fazbear ID will work on it, the keycard readers have battery backups in them. We will go out that way to be safe." Roxanne said. The trio made their way to the special stairway.

"Wait..Rox…what about Jerry!? We can't just forget about him." Chica said with concern.

"We can try calling him directly using our built in comms systems though our HUD's. He's not a Glamrock in appearance but internally his endo is a Glamrock series like us, he should have the same systems and software we have and should be reachable that way. Same wireless network as the FazWatches." Roxanne said.

"Oh duh. I forgot we have that feature." Chica said.

Chica put her fingers up to the side of her head and tried pulling up Jerry's contact in her field of vision through her software and tried to call.

"Shit! I can't connect to the main network! Rox you try." Chica said.

Roxanne tried as well.

No network available. Was displayed in her HUD. She couldn't connect to the Fazbear private wifi through her own wifi module.

A similar problem Freddy once faced before the night he met Gregory. Now Roxanne is experiencing it for the first time.

Roxanne could probably work around the issue if she finds wifi in the area that is not coming from Fazbear's own wifi access points in the hotel, connect then use a VPN to get herself back onto the Fazbear network in a round about way. But it would take to long for her to find a good wifi connection someone else is hosting and to configure a VPN in her internal software.

"Damn it, I can't ether. This has to be a setup. C'mon let's go find him and get the hell out of here." Roxanne said.

Meanwhile…

Salt Lake City Police and Salt Lake Fire Department surrounded the building while FBI special forces lie in wait a block away. While the fire was the main issue and police arrived due to suspected arson, FBI got a tip that Twisted Wolf was making it's way to the hotel. When the local FBI branch heard a suspected arson case sabotaged the power systems for the hotel, they took it as a signal for an imminent threat waiting and that the wolf's target was located here.

B1 Server Room and Network Room Area

1:40 AM – 50 minutes ago

After knocking out the front desk clerk while no one was around, Tina was able to steal his ID badge and gain access to the basement server room for the hotel. The datacenter was well lit with Florescent lights and drop ceilings much like an office building. She had passed the room full of desks and workstations for IT employees who left for the night before making her way into the inner heart of the data center.

She walked in, turned on the lights, closing the door behind her. The sounds of humming servers in several rackmount racks, along with racks of network ethernet switches and racks of uninterruptable power supply units that provide backup power to the network systems should power go out, giving only 20 minutes of power to the equipment, ensuring enough time for the generators outside to kick in. She could feel the temperature of the room with her temperature sensors hidden inside her synthetic skin shell. The air conditioning unit ensuring a carefully climate controlled environment.

Everything from the wifi access points on the ceilings in the building, internet access, to the phone system ran out of this room. This site also serves as a backup datacenter to the one in the PizzaPlex at Hurricane. Whenever PizzaPlex systems went down all systems would failover to this site. However if was power was an issue, failovers would not happen at all and it could all come crashing down.

She was about to put her plan in motion. Twisted Wolf would set the fire to the generator buildings outside and then Tina would take down the battery backup units to the network and the network equipment itself. She wasn't a hacker, but being a machine herself, she knew the weaknesses of anything that ran on software and had a CPU chip and RAM in it.

She got a text from her supervisor on her phone.

Get this done, and I promise you not only will you outdo that wolf, but can see your "daughter" again. And you won't have to go on "vacation".

It was time to put the plan in motion.

She started by going in the back of each rack and pulling the power from the outlets on each UPS unit at the bottom of every rack. This forced the UPS's to go into backup mode, beeping with warnings on their front side displays that only 20 minutes of battery remained. She then located the fiber optic feed coming into the room that was the main source of outside internet access. It went to the main router in the rack. She took her claws and cut the cable, it would take days to repair since you can't just splice fiber like a copper wire. This killed the internet and soon the UPS units would run out of juice, with no external power source.

She then started pulling the power cords to all the servers in the back. Each one shutting down. She needed to get out of sight, Twisted was going to cut the building power soon by smashing up the generators in the generator building.

She would watch from the sidelines and only get involved if things got hairy. She was going to see the favorite human in her life again, the only one that could always make her feel special. A homeless girl who lives in Salt Lake City by the name of Jeanette.

She would also show that Roxanne Wolf, she was better then her.

Another text came in.

Don't forget that special experiment we handed off to you. Perhaps you can use the hotel as a trial?

Tina nervously looked at a couple of vials she had in her pocket. A clear liquid with moving silvery particles inside that could be seen with the naked eye.

"I hope I don't have to deploy this." Tina said.

2:00 AM – 30 minutes ago – Fazbear HQ IT Office 3rd floor, downtown Hurricane

Heather was working an overnight doing some server upgrades to all the datacenters for Fazbear. Kellen just walked in bringing her a cup of coffee from Starbucks.

"Okay miss, I don't do cow's milk, here is the latte you asked for with almond milk." Kellen said bringing her the coffee to her desk.

"Thanks Kellen, you didn't have to stay here overnight with me ya know. Aren't you supposed to resting up? You've already been busting your ass all day helping the feds and all with this warehouse mess and those missing endos. If Freddy was here right now he would be on your case about getting good rest." Heather said taking a sip.

"Yeah I know the bear wouldn't agree but, you shouldn't have to be stuck in a building by yourself with the cleaning ladies and Janitor Bob to keep you company." Kellen said.

"So what are you two up to tonight? Kellen your eyes look saggy, go home and get some rest, I'll keep Heather company." Said Vanessa walking into the office.

"So guess where not the only ones clocking in extra hours tonight." Kellen said laughing.

"Well I am the Director of Security now, so I am to be in the know of these things now. Not to mention I am also heading the IT department since Cyber Security falls under my area of expertise." Vanessa said.

"IT department? I thought you only dealt with security? Hence being the former head night guard of the PizzaPlex." Kellen asked.

"Well…remember guys, why do you think my grandfather, Glitchtrap, in particular picked me to infect from the VR game? I already had a strong IT background when I worked at Silver Parasol as a beta tester, made me the perfect hacker….But enough about the past. Kellen go get some rest!" Vanessa said.

"No way, you know how much of a software nerd I am. After all I am the lead animatronic engineer for the company. " Kellen said looking on with Heather while she used remote desktop from her workstation to login to each server to run new updates for custom made Fazbear software he and Heather wrote together along with the usuals every IT department deals with like Windows Server updates and Linux server updates.

"Fine, at least get me a seat so I can join. I've got no where else to be right now, I can't sleep knowing that thing is out there after my Greggy. And Freddy doesn't need me for anything at the moment. The big guy is probably back in his room at the PizzaPlex sleeping." Vanessa said.

"Don't you worry Vanessa, they'll find that thing and take it down before it finds Gregory. Besides he's got two big animatronic sisters that have the strength of 5 human men, I think he's going to be fine. Not to mention that gift we gave him." Heather said.

"Yeah your right. I guess I'm just new to this "mom" thing. I never thought I'd have a kid at 23, well, an adopted one, and I never know if I'm being a good mother to him. I feel like I just shouldn't sit here. Like maybe I need to go to Salt Lake City and get him myself before the worst…." Vanessa stopped when Heather signaled for her to take it easy.

"Vanessa, your doing a great job with Gregory. You're his mother now, your always going to be worried about him, even if you can't admit it to yourself. He's your little boy. And advice. Just because your not with him all the time, does not mean your failing at being a mother, sometimes kids need space too. Your always going to love him, and he always going to love you." Heather said.

"Thanks Heather." Vanessa said.

"Not to mention for a robot, Freddy is shaping up to be one hell of a dad to him too." Heather said.

"I did design him so…I helped." Kellen said laughing.

"Hahaha yes you helped a little." Heather commented.

Vanessa's stomach growled.

"Man I could go for a snack." Vanessa said.

Kellen put a box of FazPad donuts on the desk and opened the box.

"Really Kel?" Vanessa said.

"Hey I mean we get them for free since we do work for the company." Kellen said helping himself to one.

"Sigh, well I was trying to be good on my diet. Fuck it. Kellen hand me one of those bad boys." Vanessa said taking a chocolate donut in the tissue paper it was wrapped in, from Kellen.

"C'Mon girl, you don't need a diet. You have that Afton metabolism. If there's one saving grace for your family name, y'all equipped to slay at the dating game." Heather said.

Despite hating her family origins, Vanessa shorted at that comment, nearly spitting out the donut.

"Jesus Heather. Really?" Vanessa said laughing.

"Hey, I'm just saying you were born gorgeous." Heather said.

Kellen joined in on the laugh until Heather's demeaner changed when she got an email from the network monitoring system.

Sender: uptime

Subject: SLC01 Data Center – Monitor status is DOWN

Message: SLC01 Data Center is down, WAN IP address is unreachable, will notify administrators when IP address can be reached again.

"The data center at Salt Lake City just went offline. Backup jobs from HC01 at the PizzaPlex have failed, backup jobs from HC02 located in the basement here have failed. I can't even ping the outside IP address of the fiber modem and the FaziGate router in the network rack." Heather said looking into it farther.

"SLC01…that's in the basement of the Fazbear Lux." Kellen said. Vanessa's eyes widened.
