Authors Note; Aw...I made Mako out as bad-guy in this. D: BUT DON'T WORRY. There's a a reason. Aie aie...I hope to meet a girl one day. D: Who promises to love mmmme forever...haha, enough with my own wants and on to the fic!
The phone rang- a girl with neck length blue hair gazed from across the room at it. She made no attempt to answer it however.
She sighed as it stopped. She knew who it was. Who has been calling for the last hour. She snuggled down into the couch cushions, opening a new book. The warm, still air made her drowsy as her eyes dropped heavily, halting to stare at a particular line for a few moments. The phone began to ring again. However, the petite girl had already fallen asleep.
The girl started awake as the door creaked open. Ami yawned and blinked unfocusedly at the figure in the doorway, "…Makoto?" She said softy as the tall figure stepped into the light.
"Yes…and I see that you're home."
A faint pang of anger shot through Ami, "You need to leave…"
"Why didn't you return my calls?" Makoto accused, eyeing Ami.
"Perhaps I didn't feel like talking, Makoto-san" She murmured calmly.
Makoto looked hurt, "Don't be that way, Ames!"
"Don't 'Ames' me!" Ami snapped, closing her book sharply.
"What's your problem!"
Ami took a deep breath, looking Makoto in the eye, "You tell me you love me…then run off with the next guy who asks you out. AND THEN when he dumps YOU …you come back…for me…making up an excuse to why you did it." Her eyes stung with tears but she refused to let them fall. "…and I can't take it any more, Mako…no. This is the third time you've done this."
Makoto's face softened, "I'm…I…" She faltered and trailed off.
A few tears fell- "I don't want to hear excuses..." Ami buried here face into a pillow, her body shaking.
Mako sat next to her, gently lacing her fingers through Ami's and giving her hand a soft squeeze.
Ami looked up, her face stained with tears, "…I love you Mako-chan…I love you. You're so beautiful and strong…"
Makoto raised a hand and quietly wiped her tears, "Please don't cry…" Her voice quivered, "I love you too…I'm not good…at showing it…I-I get so scared when we get serious…afraid that if I wait longer, It'll hurt more…if you left me…and I didn't realize…how much I was hurting YOU…I was only thinking of myself…"
Ami looked surprised, "Mako-chan, frightened?"
Mako blushed- she didn't like to admit it.
"Oh Mako-chan…why didn't you say something before? I'd never want to leave you…I'd never want to hurt you…"
Mako smiled weakly, "I'm sorry…Can you forgive me? I acted like a fool. I should have talked to you. I promise to never…hurt you again…I'll never leave you…"
"You…swear?" Ami whispered, fully aware of how childish she was sounding.
"I swear...as a senshi as truth and justice, I swear to you, Ami."
Ami smiled, kissing Makoto softly, "…and I swear, as a senshi of love and loyalty…to never hurt you…Mako-chan…"
