Disclaimer: I do not own Fate/Stay Night or Highschool DxD, or any of its character's, and make no money of this.
I walked through the dark and infested tunnels.
The sound of running water and rats were all I heard as I searched.
After a while I had found what I needed.
It was a small room hidden behind a wall.
Before anyone passed by I hid my package in it and sealed the room.
Changes had to be made, may they reach the people they were made for.
Chapter 18:
Rough morning
Soft rustling could be heard in the room as the girl on the bed began shifting in her sleep. The silver haired beauty's long eyelashes slowly parted as she rose up and let out a soft yawn.
As her aqua orbs fully opened she felt a stabbing like sensation throb in her head, causing her to close her eyes and cringe in pain.
''Agh… my head!'' Rose whimpered, as she tried to endure the pain assailing her that felt akin to hundreds of needles being shoved in her brain. Much to her own annoyance however this wasn't such a foreign feeling to her. As for Rose this unfortunately was not the first time in her life that she had to deal with a killer hangover. ''How much did I drink last night?''
The silver haired girl took a moment trying to go over what she could remember from the previous night. That was easier said than done though; as her head was currently pounding. ''I recall that old jerk taking me to some sleazy strip club, but everything is fuzzy after that…''
Still she couldn't just dismiss it, for some reason she felt like something very important took place last night but she was drawing a blank slate on what it could be.
She couldn't help but feel pity for herself.
What was she even doing with her life?
Was this really what she wanted?
This wasn't how she imagined her days would go by back when she was still in school.
Rose was always a rather academically gifted girl, her results allowing her to skip grades and finish her education early. She was able to become an independent woman while still in her teens in contrast to others her age. When she landed this job she was well aware that her boss wouldn't be easy to deal with considering how many women had quit before her. Many of her predecessors not lasting even a single month with the old crow before resigning, but she didn't let that get to her.
As obnoxious as her boss was, this job did have its perks. While financially it wasn't a gold mine, it did offer amazing advantages once she completed the minimum required service period. She was suffering now, but later on in her career the opportunities that would open for her after this will secure her for life.
Plus her boss was a very important personage back home, and working directly for him was an honor in itself.
At least that's what she initially thought at the time anyway...
Rose took her job with the utmost seriousness and devotion, something that she felt was wasted given what kind of dumbass her boss was. The man wasn't a bad boss per se, he was just incredibly annoying. He didn't force her to work more than she was required to, nor was he abusive towards her verbally or physically. Sure there was the occasional sexual harassment but that was a given considering who her employer was.
However, what her job actually consisted of was something that she wasn't prepared for.
Officially her job description was that of a bodyguard and personal assistant. When she initially started she imagined things like protecting her boss, doing office work for him, or taking his calls.
But noooooooo!
She had to constantly drag the bastards wasted carcass back home from all kinds of shady establishments, write apologies while covering up for all of the bullshit he did when drunk, and many times was even forced to pay for the stuff he did out of her own pocket.
It was so damn embarrassing to apologize to all of the various bars and club owners for her boss harassing the waitresses and dancers. Not to mention humiliating due to the amount of job offers she received while doing so. There was even that one freak that wanted her to do a striptease as an apology for the men of the club! She didn't know what was worse, the indignity of being asked that or the fact it paid more than her current job.
Plus the old bastard had a habit of poking fun at her whenever he got the chance.
Sometimes Rose just wondered why the old fool didn't just get a male assistant, it would probably be a better choice since he would have a guy to get smashed and perv around with.
Oh right, the whole eye candy thing.
Honestly, how Lady Frigg didn't divorce that old fool was beyond her.
A sudden realization hit Rose as she took a closer look at her surroundings, her eyes widening in shock.
''Wait… this isn't my room…'' Her voice began getting laced with panic as her mind started drawing some rather dark conclusions. Aqua orbs slowly looking down at her body, lifting the blanket and almost screaming in panic at what she saw. ''And why am I in my underwear?!''
This didn't make any sense, she never slept like this! It was always pajamas or a pair of shorts with a t-shirt!
Her hands began shaking in fear, holding her head and desperately trying to recall just what she did last night, hoping she didn't do anything reckless.
No! She must have just ended up a different hotel by coincidence!
Yes!
She must have just gotten way too drunk to get back to her own hotel and just crashed at the first hotel she found on her way there.
Yes! That was definitely what happened! Nothing ridiculous like one of those stupid movies when the girl wakes in a hotel room only to find-
''Oh, did I wake you up?''
… a fairly good looking half-naked guy at the bedroom door.
The man rubbed the back of his head and let out an awkward laugh. ''Sorry, I really needed a shower after what happened last night.''
''Eh…?'' Rose's jaw dropped as she saw the man in front of her, with the exception of a pair of loose pants and a small towel around his neck everything else was on full display. Her eyes temporarily got stuck staring at those amazing abs and pecs that were still glistening with water, giving them a mesmerizing luster to them. A choking sound escaped her mouth when she broke from her daze. ''Wha…?''
She looked at herself, then back to him, then back at herself, and then once more at him. Her hand pointing a trembling finger at the man as her jaw was unable to stop from shaking. ''Y-You, I, we…?''
''Uh, wait it's not what you think!'' the man tried to reason with her as he realized what the current situation must have looked like, trying to stop her before she panicked and made a scene.
''Wait!" he yelled, but Rose's mouth already began opening wide to scream. On sheer instinct the man pounced on her as he covered her mouth with one hand while also grabbing her arms and pinning them against the bed with the other.
As he kept her held down, Rose struggled to break free; the man on top of her on the other hand was probably panicking on the inside more than she was.
Emiya Shirou just realized he dun goofed… big time.
Fuck…
I stared at the woman I just pinned down and couldn't help but wonder what the fuck was wrong with me.
A shower… all I wanted was one God damn shower after that crazy night. A simple shower… nothing more, nothing less.
There was nothing difficult involved, so just how did I forget to bring a shirt with me to the bathroom?
Of course Rose was going to freak out if I came out topless from the bathroom.
It was so painfully obvious to me now that she would instantly draw the wrong conclusions. Yet I had only realized this when I saw her face beginning to go red and become hysterical.
By sheer instinct I reached out and immobilized her, which in hindsight I realized probably only made things even worse.
''Real smooth, you are without a doubt a true lady's man.'' It was moments like these that Archer showed it was possible to elevate sarcasm into a form of art. It would honestly be impressive, if I wasn't always the target that is.
''Shut up! I'm busy!'' I mentally yelled back as I tried to think things through.
Calm down.
Ignore the red asshole and calm down.
Focus and try to explain everything to Rose before things get any worse.
I took a deep breath and tightened my grip on the girl's arms, bringing her closer to me as I began whispering to her ear.
''Look I know what this looks like, but I didn't do anything indecent to you, I swear!'' I tried my best to explain everything calm and collectively to get my point across. ''I will take my hand back now and I will properly explain everything so please stay calm, ok?''
The silver haired girl stopped struggling, and looked at me for a couple of moments before nodding her head.
''Good…'' I breathed in ease as I let go of her, feeling relieved that she understood. ''Now look I-''
My sentence was never finished as Rose immediately punched me square in the face.
Son of a…!
She almost broke my nose!
As she found herself free of my grasp she instantly began shouting. ''Help! I'm being raped!''
I forced myself to ignore the pain and tried pinning her down once more. This time however she didn't seem to give me the opportunity. As soon as my hand came close to her she immediately bit down on it.
How I didn't just scream in sheer agony at that moment was beyond me. ''Rose, please don't make a scene, I swear didn't do anything to you last night!''
She didn't seem to listen and elbowed me in the ribs knocking the wind out of me, weakening my grip enough for her to escape.
Man this girl sure packed a punch!
''There's no way I would believe the word of some-'' the burning indignation on her face seemed to freeze for a brief moment, confusion becoming apparent on her features as she stared at me. ''Wait, what did you just call me?''
''Uh, Rose?'' I repeated unsure as I rubbed the spot she just bit, noting the perfect teeth marks, she sure had good teeth that's for sure.
''Why do you know that name?!'' She demanded loudly, only to cringe and grab her head in pain, the obvious hangover she had kicking in tenfold. ''Ouch! It hurts so much to shout!''
''That's why I told you to calm down…'' I remarked dryly, only to get an ice cold glare from the struggling girl. ''Regarding your name, you told it to me last night.''
Her overall anger didn't seem to vanish but it did go down a notch, rather than just pure rage there was more suspicion present on her face now. ''The only person who calls me that is my granny… for me to tell you that name…''
I tried to further explain but stopped as I saw the familiar sight of Rose growing pale and her throat beginning to twitch.
Shit! I knew what was coming and it wasn't going to be pretty.
Just as Rose was about to speak up she placed her hands over her mouth, all color in her skin draining. ''I-I feel sick…!''
''This way, quick!'' not wasting any time I grabbed her by the hand and dragged her quickly to the bathroom. There were protests involved but I didn't listen and shoved her face right above the toilet, not even two seconds later passed before she began throwing up violently. I could only sigh as I held Rose's head with one hand while patting her on the back in a soothing manner with the other. ''Good, just like last night, let it all out.''
The puking session lasted roughly around five minutes before Rose finally seemed to calm down. When everything seemed okay I helped her get up and guided her to the sink, offering my support in washing away any remaining… well… remains.
Rose seemed awfully silent as I helped her get clean. ''Better?''
''N-No…'' she responded groggily after a few moments of silence, her eyes keeping track of my every move. ''W-What you said before… I did this last night as well?''
The memories of what happened began replaying in my mind. It wasn't an easy task dealing with it that's for that's for sure. ''A couple of times… had to hold your head each time.''
''T-this doesn't mean I b-believe every word you said… but I will g-give you a chance to explain yourself.''
I let out a tired chuckle as I watched her walk away. This was at least a start if anything. ''Sure thing, I'll tell you everything once you settle down.''
In seiza position I sat in front of Rose as she glared skeptically at me as I finished explaining what had happened last night. She was so adamant to learn of what took place the night before that she didn't even bother to put her clothes on. It was rather distracting to explain all of this knowing that all she had on her was a blanket and underwear.
''So let me get this straight… you found me dead drunk at that club and decided to comfort me when you saw how down I was. Some shady guys started hitting on me and when you saw them you defended me and it quickly escalated to an all-out brawl, then you got me out of there before things really got out of hand. I got sick and you brought me to your hotel room and let me sleep here since I was too drunk to remember where I was staying.''
''That about sums it up…'' I nodded slightly, leaving out certain details like her puking on me.
''… Is that really all?'' Rose asked once again clearly not buying it, her face quickly turning red as she went on. ''Y-You brought me here and nothing at all happened?''
A certain memory flashed through my mind and my cheeks began to flare. ''W-Well…''
''Aha! I knew it!'' she declared with an accusing finger pointing at me.
I instantly brought my hands up and began waving them as she got the wrong idea once again. ''No, it's not what you think!''
''Then what is it?!'' The demand in her voice made it clear that she was just about done with this.
''... I'm not sure if you want to hear this.''
''I'm pretty sure I need to hear it.''
A tired sigh escaped my lips, it didn't seem like I had much of a choice. I wanted to save both of us anymore embarrassment but she had the right to know all that happened last night. ''Okay… after I put you to bed-''
''Ye know, I alwaz wanted to meet a nice and hamsome guy like ye.'' She pulled me in closer to her, our noses touching as our mouths were dangerously close to each other. ''And I ain't about to let ye escape!''
I desperately tried to pull away but the silver haired beauty didn't budge an inch, her embrace was like a deadly vice. The more I tried pulling away the more she would pull me closer to her.
Panic took over me as I became half tempted to use reinforcement to get out of this mess. The distance shortened with each passing second and I could feel the warmth of her breath on my face.
Our lips were only a moment away from contact before she stopped.
Just when I thought I screwed up, something unexpected happened.
There was a sudden twitch of her head, the color of her skin paling as her checks became puffed with air.
Rose finally let go of me and quickly grabbed her mouth, bullets of sweat rushing down her face. ''I'm gonah be sig agin!''
Realization hit me full on as I understood what was about to happen. I jumped from the bed and wrapped her arms around my neck and picked her up, dashing headfirst for the bathroom. ''Shit, hold it in just a little bit!''
When we passed the bath's door Rose let go of me and fell to her knees, sliding straight towards the toilet. For the briefest moment I reinforced myself and dashed, her cheeks had already swollen and were ready to give up at any second. With inhuman speed I slid my hand upwards and lifted the toilet seat, a fraction of a second away before the rush of vomit erupted forth from Rose's mouth. ''Bleahhh!''
Personally the sound of her puking her guts out was making me want to be anywhere else but here, yet I couldn't leave her alone. I stood beside her and held her head, making sure her hair didn't get caught in the crossfire. The puking session went on for about four minutes until it seemed to pass. ''Better?''
She whipped her head towards me, eyes red with tears in them as a disgusted look was present on her face. ''Zo I dook, ducking getter?!'' ''
''Not sure why I even asked…'' I sighed as I patted her on the back, my gut telling that this was going to be a long night. After a couple of minutes of silence I asked again. ''Did you calm down a bit?''
''Kill mehh!''
''Well that answers my question.''
I stood by her until she finally stopped hurling. By the time she was done she could barely stand anymore let alone walk and so I had to carry her bridal style to the bed.
When I showed the first sign of wanting to leave Rose quickly latched onto my arm and cried out at me.
''Don gooooo.''
''This again…?'' My right eye twitched as I recalled what happened not even half an hour ago.
''Pwease… don leave meh alone…''
The girls eyes looked like they turned into mini cascades and her hands were like a pair of soft vices that were threatening to crush my arm.
While I wanted to help her feel at ease it wasn't proper for me to just sleep in the same bed with her. I couldn't even begin to fathom the amount of awkwardness and explanation I will have to give her when she sobered up and found me next to her. I know that she was the one that asked me but personal experience has taught me that people do dumb shit when they're wasted and often they don't even recall it.
Sleeping with her in the same bed was a bad idea…
A very bad idea…
Bad…
Oh screw it.
Honestly at this point I didn't give a damn anymore.
I was too tired and too mentally exhausted to care anymore. Whatever happens in the morning I will deal with it then, right now I'm not in the right state to make any plans. ''Ok look Rose. If it makes you feel any better I will stay next to you and keep watch, just try to get some sleep.''
''Okayyyy!'' My answer made her do a complete one eighty with her emotional state, shifting from crying to brightly beaming in a matter of seconds.
She didn't let go of me though, instead she pulled me next to her and cuddled against my chest.
Somehow I felt that I wouldn't be getting any proper sleep this night.
''Afterwards you kept clinging onto me and you only let go in the morning, I then got up and went to take a shower but forgot my shirt so when I came to get one you were already awake, from there… well you know the rest.''
As I finished explaining everything to Rose I rubbed the back of my head while avoiding eye contact. It was rather embarrassing recalling everything that happened.
There was an unpleasant silence between us. I briefly looked directly at her and the intense gaze she was giving me felt like would snap the moment I made the wrong move. ''You do realize that I'm having a hard time believing all of this right?''
Honestly I didn't really blame her; everything that happened had seemed incredibly farfetched. If the situation was reversed and I was in her place I wouldn't believe such a story either. Unfortunately this was the truth, so I had to make her somehow accept it as it is. ''Look, it's the honest truth. If there was a way to prove it to you I would do it right away.''
The answer didn't seem to make the skeptical look on Rose's face go away, if anything it made it intensify.
Without any warning she stood up from the bed and began searching for something on it.
I got confused by this sudden turn of events so much I couldn't help but ask. ''What are you doing?''
''Checking!'' she stated quite loudly, but didn't bother to turn around. Instead she continued her search rather than further explain.
''For what?''
She didn't turn stop to look at me but I could see her ears turning red from here. ''Y-You know…!''
''Uh, no I don't.'' I said completely confused.
''Y-You know… traces of any encounter…'' her voice became strained and pitched the more she explained.
''Sorry, but I still have no idea what you're talking about…''
Her shoulders trembled for few seconds before she turned around to face me, face crimson red and full of frustration. ''Fine! I'll just spell it for you! I'm looking for blood stains! I'm a virgin! Is that what you wanted to hear you big jerk!?''
…
Huh?
My mind took a minute to compute that and the implications.
I could feel how my face lit up similarly to hers. ''O-Oh…''
''I knew it! You must think I'm some pitiful girl to still be a virgin at my age!'' She sobbed while pointing her finger accusingly at me.
It's curious how her voice seemed to have changed when she began this tirade; it's gained a sort of slight accent to it.
This discussion was really getting out of hand. I was losing any sense of track and what I'm supposed to do or even say anymore. ''I-I don't see anything bad with that…''
''What would you know!?'' she snapped at me, voice filled with frustration and indignation. ''With your looks and rocking abs I bet you're bedding girls left and right.''
Now that remark made me skittish.
''Not really…'' I admitted quietly, feeling very embarrassed by what I was about to admit. ''I'm actually a virgin too…''
The reply didn't appear to help; it actually seemed to piss off Rose even more. ''Yeah right, like there's any guy that would ever admit that.''
I didn't comment and just averted my eyes to the side, up until now it didn't bother me that I am a virgin but I felt extremely embarrassed to admit it in front of such a beautiful girl.
Perhaps it was my reaction that gave it away but Rose let out a shocked gasp as her eyes went wide. ''By the All Father… you're serious!''
''It's no big deal to me really…'' I muttered bashfully, the pure look of disbelief on her face didn't make this easier that's for sure. ''It's not that I'm not interested in the opposite sex, but I've never had any girlfriends so I guess I never had the opportunity.''
Her mouth seemed to have difficulties staying in place as it kept opening and closing without her finding the right words. In the end she grabbed the bridge of her nose and deeply sighed. ''… I have a really hard time believing you but let's get back to the matter at hand.''
Without any time for me to respond she went back and continued checking the bed. After taking out the sheets and flipping the mattress over the girl finally seemed to have calmed down to a certain extent. ''There are no blood stains… and the sheets don't appear to have been changed…''
I sighed in relief as my point was finally getting across. Hope filled within me that the current drama won't be lasting much longer. ''Do you believe me now?''
''I will have to do further investigation!'' Rose declared loudly as she turned around, her leg getting tangled in the bed sheet she had been covering herself with all this time.
''Hey watch out!'' I shouted as I caught her by the waist stopping her in mid fall. The inside of my mouth went dry as I realized the rather compromising position we were now in, my face starting to flare up as I felt two very big and very soft body parts pressing against my chest, the only thing separating us from full skin on skin contact being the thin blanket she had wrapped around her. It was rather difficult but I tried my best to keep calm and act like nothing was wrong. ''Y-You ok?''
''Y-Yeah… just… a bit w-weak from last night.'' She said that slowly, her voice being a bit higher than usual and her face was as red as a tomato.
Damn… how was she so cute?
''Uh…'' A strained sound echoed as she began to swirl around in my arms. ''C-Could you let go now?''
''S-Sure…''
I slowly lifted her back on her feet and let go of her but a problem arose when that happened. Rose seemed to have zoned out for a couple of seconds as her grip on the blanket loosened, the said piece of material hitting the floor allowing me to get a full view of her sexy lingerie clad body.
It was a heavy five second delay before Rose finally seemed to realize what happened.
''Kyahh!'' the sharp scream she let out felt like someone stabbed my ears with a pair of pens. Before I could even say anything she rushed onto the bed and hid herself with all the blankets she could find, the sounds of sobbing could be heard from the now huge lump on the bed. ''I can't be a bride anymore!''
To see a full grown girl hide and sob under a blanket like a child was certainly something new for me.
I sighed and gave myself a slap on the head to get the dangerous image out of my head. ''No offence Rose but I think as long as we both forget that this happened you will be okay.''
Her head popped up from under the blanket and she was anything but amused. ''No it isn't!''
My left eye could only twitch as this situation just didn't seem to end. I was well aware of how much women cared about the sanctity of their bodies, living with so many in the house, so I can see where she is coming for but this was straight out exaggerating. ''So what do you want me to do, strip myself so we're even or something?''
Her face looked like it froze then began morphing into a contemplating stare, the girl letting a cough in her hand as she began talking. ''W-well… while it is very i-indecent it would be a fair t-trade…''
''… It's kind of late for that since you already saw me shirtless.'' I stared with half closed eyes at her.
''O-Oh…'' she muttered with a blush.
The corner of my mouth trembled as I saw the CLEAR look of disappointment on her face. ''Wait… you were actually considering it for real?''
''Oh shut up!'' she snapped as her face flushed red, followed by a sharp hiss as she grabbed her head. ''Aghh! I really shouldn't scream this much!''
''That we both can agree on, you should take it easy.'' I remarked with a sigh, her hangover was clearly still alive and kicking. It meant I had to do something about it. ''Just stay here and try to relax, I will go and get us something to eat.''
''I'm not really hungry.'' She muttered with a pout.
At this point I didn't have the patience to argue, taking a firm stance in front of her. ''You need to eat, from how much you drank last night you need to recover your strength.''
''… Fine.''
''I'll try and come back quick.''
When I was finally outside I felt my previously calm state completely crumble, my head bashing against the wall out of sheer frustration. ''So that happened… thought shit like this only happens in bad romantic comedy movies.''
I closed and opened my hand a couple of times, the soft yet firm abundant feeling it experienced so many hours ago still lingered in it.
With the corner of my eye I saw the man on my right smirking at my apparent suffering. ''I personally think it went better than expected. I'm quite shocked you didn't get smacked in the face a couple more times before she finally calmed down.''
I rolled my eyes at that remark. ''… Lucky me, hurray.''
As I began walking down the hall Archer started running his mouth again. ''You could have just waited for her to wake up and then go for a shower. It was like you were intentionally trying to create more misunderstandings.''
''Leave me alone, I barely had a wink of sleep with her clinging onto me the way she did. I desperately needed that shower.'' I sighed as I stepped into the elevator.
The smirk on his face only grew larger after hearing what I said. ''I find it surprising that you weren't completely honest when you told her what happened last night. You did leave out the part that she started giving you pecks on your necks and if that wasn't enough, she actually took your hand and wrapped it in between her breasts.''
When I heard that I inwardly panicked, accidentally pressing the wrong button in the elevator. Now I was going up instead of down, great, just great. "… I have no idea what you're talking about."
''Weren't your exact thoughts at that moment and I quote 'Is this it?! I'm going to lose my virginity like this?!', which makes me wonder what you would have done if she didn't get sick again at the time. ''
Damn him…
I spent so much time blocking that memory in my head and here comes Archers and bringing it up.
He wasn't wrong though.
Rose did start getting very dangerous right before she got sick again. Heck the reason why I came from the shower without the shirt I was wearing last night was because she had ripped it apart before she started giving me kisses across my chest all the way to my neck.
Thinking I could just use the shirt I was previously wearing instead of grabbing a new one, I only realized how badly it was ruined when I finished my shower. With no way to salvage it I simply gave up on it, not realizing how much I'd come to lament my choice later on.
That aside, the whole encounter was probably the biggest test of my character in my entire life. The amount of self-control and willpower I had to use in order to not give into temptation and do something regrettable was beyond human limit.
The things she was trying to do to me before she got sick. How her soft lips felt against my skin, the warmth of her breath, the intoxicating scent of her hair, and the softness of her breasts.
In all honesty if she hadn't gotten sick at the time I might have given in…
Now that I think about it… the fact that she did all of that in spite of being a virgin completely baffled me. I mean I tend to get sexually flustered like any other guy, but she was something else.
Once again my understanding of the female mind is proven to be incredibly lacking.
''The way you rushed to the bathroom the very second you were free of her embrace was also quite amusing, your sword was certainly ready to be unsheathed at any moment. No wonder you took such a long ice cold shower.''
God damn mental connection!
''Shut up! You try staying with such a drop gorgeous woman wrapped around you for hours without her letting you go, forced to feel her every breath and heartbeat.'' I raged in frustration, both at his remark and the fact that I was unable to punch the damn prick. ''Do all of that and then you can comment about it.''
''Tempting, but I'll pass.'' The red clothed bastard said as he shrugged his shoulders. ''While my love life wasn't simple by any means, I did learn to handle situations such as this. You should learn some self-restraint, I doubt the girl would've been willing to listen to anything you said if she woke up earlier and caught you next to her with your sword fully raised ready to pierce the heavens. ''
My left eye throbbed violently as the elevator finally reached the ground floor. ''You just love to make my life miserable don't you?''
''You've only now figured that out?''
''Whatever, I have a lady waiting for me and I wouldn't want to be late.'' As much as I would love to give a piece of what's on my mind to the white haired jerk I have other things to do.
Trying my best to ignore him, I knocked on the hotels kitchen door and hoped they were willing to listen to my request.
''I'm back.'' I knocked on the bedroom door before I stepped inside. There were enough incidents in the last twenty four hours to last me for a lifetime; I wasn't in the mood for any more.
''You took rather long to get breakfast…'' Rose remarked as shifted on top of the bed, fortunately she was now fully dressed in the clothes she had on last night.
''It took me a bit of time to convince the hotels staff to let me use their kitchen.'' I explained as I brought in a tray of what I prepared.
That sure was a weird situation I had just dealt with. The hotel staff was so adamant about not letting me step in the kitchen that they even called in the manager. An older man who did his very best to look intimidating while informing me of the rules as he was talking to me. The weird part of it all though was how he immediately went pale. The man starting to sweat as soon as he checked the hotel log, and seeing who it was that made my reservation at the hotel.
In the very next moment after that he was instantly all smiles and apologies as he made the staff guide me to the kitchen, fervently offering to help me with anything that I may have needed to prepare my dish with.
Apparently Sona's name was intimidating not only to high school students but also to grown men as well… I don't know how to feel about that.
Rose tilted her head as she got up from the bed and walked to the table. ''Wait, why would you do that?''
''Well I tried whip up something for your hangover.'' An awkward smile spread across my face as Rose took a seat at the table and I put the food in front of her. ''I'm not an expert but I hear that ramen is a good choice, so it took me a bit of time to make some.''
When she spotted the food her eyes went wide and I could swear I saw her pupils morph into stars. ''This is real ramen? Not the instant kind?''
''Why would I serve you instant ramen?''
''Because it's a quick, cheap, and accessible food?''
My eye throbbed at that remark. ''It's an unhealthy food.''
I know many people eat instant ramen but their really missing out on the true beauty of genuine ramen. For one thing instant ramen is just a bag of noodles with a small pack of spices or sauce to add when you pour in the boiling water. Not much of a meal if you ask me.
While I could explain the differences to Rose all I wanted, I think letting her experience the difference herself would be a better move. ''Eat up. I also got you some medicine for the sickness but you can't take it on an empty stomach.''
''I see…'' she muttered sheepishly as she took the bowl of ramen and slowly tasted it. There was a moment of rigidness as the food touched her tongue, after five seconds of complete silence she snapped out of her trance and started digging in like there was no tomorrow.
When the last drop of soup was consumed she let out a satisfied sigh. ''Amazing! It was nothing at all like the packed stuff.''
''Well, duh…'' I responded as I took a sip out of my coffee, the cup obstructing the smile that etched on my face, the act of seeing people enjoying my cooking always brightened my mood.
In spite of eating quite rapidly it seemed that Rose still had some manners and wiped her mouth once she was done and neatly set aside her utensils. ''Now that I think about I never tried real ramen, it's pretty expensive from where I'm from…''
''Is that so… back in Japan it's a pretty common comfort food that you can get for pretty cheap prices if you know a good stand or shop.''
Sure there were places that would make more deluxe variations but that was beside the point.
''Oh, so you're Japanese.'' She nodded as he eyes went wide in awe. ''It must be amazing to live there.''
A memory from last night flashed through my mind and a small smirk spread across my face. ''Must be because I have 100 yen shops back home right?''
The silver haired girl went completely rigid at that remark, her face quickly turning beet red as she caught the implication.
''… How much did I talk to you about last night?''
She tried to maintain an image of seriousness, but the way her lips were quivering didn't really help her with that. ''Mostly complaining about how much of an, I quote 'Habitual perverted jackass' your boss is... other than that praising how amazing 100 yen shops are.''
''L-Leave me alone!'' she pouted weakly as she tried her best to avoid looking me in the eyes, focusing her attention to the cup of coffee I made her. However, before I could give her a warning she already went for the cup and started drinking from it. A second later she spat it out at me. ''Aghh! What the hell is up with this coffee?!''
I took a napkin and wiped the coffee from my face, quite surprised by the fact I was still keeping a straight one in spite of what she just did. ''Coffee with salt, the hotel staff recommended it for your hangover.''
Apparently she was so engrossed in getting the taste away that she had yet to realize she just spat coffee in my face. ''You could have told me that.''
My left eye twitched. ''I didn't have the chance.''
The following minutes have been relatively quiet so far, after giving her some cream to dilute the coffee a bit she was able to sip in it peace without splattering it out.
I found the sudden peace rather off-putting considering the amount of chaos this morning had offered. As such, I couldn't help but stare at the girl in front of me quite intensely.
''W-What?'' Rose squirmed in her chair; my intense stare probably making her feel uncomfortable.
''Just thought that you weren't as hostile as you were earlier…''
''O-Oh… well…'' she slowly mutter, her eyes trying their best avoid contact with mine.
''Well what?''
She was mute for a few moments, trying to find the right words, her face growing redder as the seconds passed by.
''I, ahem… c-checked certain p-places while you were gone… and you were telling the truth… you didn't lay a finger on me even though you had the opportunity.'' Her voice was strained and high pitched, clearly bothered by what she was saying. With an awkward twitch she bowed her head in front of me. ''I'm so sorry I overreacted…''
I took a moment and tried to understand this.
How could she check if I did anything to her?
I mean it's not like she can just check herself down…
Oh…
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh…
If she did check that and it was still intact, then that would be proof that I didn't take advantage of her.
But wait… how was she able to do that?
D-Did she use her hand to…?
...
… You know what, that's probably a girl's thing. So for the sake of my sanity I won't question it any further.
I tried my best to block any possible dangerous images from forming in my mind but my cheeks still felt like they were on fire. ''I-Its ok, you just woke up in a hotel room with some guy you never met before and couldn't remember anything from last night. It's justified that you would jump to conclusions.''
As soothing as I tried to make my voice, it didn't seem to ease up the awkwardness between us. ''S-Still… maybe I shouldn't have snapped like that… I'm so sorry I punched you in the face.''
''Like I said, it's okay, you had all the reason to overreact. Plus nothing broke so no harm done.''
''…Also for spitting the coffee in your face.''
''I should have warned you what it was for and that it's kinda nasty.''
''… Also sorry for biting you.''
Ok, I will admit that one did hurt like a bitch.
I tried to laugh it off, my eyes drifting at the place she bit me earlier; she certainly left a mark on me, that's for sure. ''… You could have held back on that one.''
''Sorry, even though I know of proper ways to protect myself, the sudden situation I found myself in and everything happening made me completely lose my cool and act like that.''
Huh… now that she mentioned it, she was certainly very fit and had a lot of well-toned areas like her abdomen and thighs, which could indicate that she practiced some kind of athletics or fighting style. ''Well, I myself tend to act a bit reckless when I panic so I can't fault you for it.''
I could have sworn I heard Archer laugh at me when I said that.
''Anyway no harm done, I accept your apology.''
The strained and uncomfortable expression still lingered on, but her lips began morphing in a small smile. ''Y-You're a nice guy, you know that?''
''So I've been told.'' I remarked as I took a sip of my coffee.
Beep!
''What was that sound?''
''The washing machine.'' I answered as I got up and went to the bathroom. ''My clothes from last night got a bit... messy.''
I quickly took care of the laundry and returned to Rose placing the piece of clothing I carried on the nearby chair. ''I also cleaned your jacket since you were unable to reach the toilet the first time you got sick.''
This put a surprised look on her face, getting up and picking the blazer, carefully checking it out. ''You actually went through all the trouble to clean it up… even after all I did.''
''I couldn't just leave it like that.'' I replied slowly, recalling the struggle I had with cleaning it. It was a 'dry clean only' type of clothing so I couldn't use the washing machine and had to do it by hand.
Rose was silent for a bit, hugging the blazer in her arms, partially covering her face. ''Thank you… I really like this suit.''
When she put the blazer down she sat back with me at the table, a curious and very awkward expression was directed at me by her. ''Is something wrong?''
She fidgeted on her chair as she tried to find the words. ''You know… this will sound very stupid but I can't remember your name…''
Considering how she reacted when she woke up, I wasn't really surprised. Might as well try and start everything over. ''Well… how about we act like this the first time we met officially?''
There was a moment of hesitation but she eventually nodded. I walked in front of her and offered her a handshake. ''Hi, I'm Emiya Shirou.''
She tried to keep her cool when she accepted the handshake, but I could tell from the slight trembling that she was still a bit nervous. ''It's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Rossweisse.''
I was quite surprised when I heard her name. ''Rossweisse… so Rose is more of a nickname I take it?''
That question seemed to make her skittish, playing awkwardly with her fingers. ''Y-Yes, my granny always called me that... I always found it embarrassing to have other people hear it to be honest.''
''Why though? It sounds like a cute name to me.''
''C-C-C-Cute!?'' she choked on her words as her face went red. ''Y-you can't just say stuff like that! Y-You're embarrassing me!''
I raised my hands up on pure instinct, not wanting to get decked in the face again like I did earlier. ''Sorry, didn't mean to be rude.''
She shook her head but didn't look me in the eyes, face flushed and embarrassed. ''No… its fine… I'm just not used to getting compliments like that.''
''I see…'' I muttered unsure of what to say, that was something I found really surprising given how beautiful she is.
''S-Say, this might be a bit unrelated, but did you happen to see somebo-'' Before she could finish her sentence she was cut off as a buzzing sound started echoing.
I checked my pocket and it wasn't my from my phone, so I logically looked at the other occupant in the room. ''Is that your phone?''
''Yes… it is.'' She replied with a dry cough, quickly reaching for her phone. ''Hello?''
The moment the voice was heard on the phone, a deep scowl spread across Rossweisse's face, clearly annoyed by who she was talking to.
''… No sir, I had anything but a fun night.'' The hisses from her teeth made me take an unconscious step backwards, the tone making me feel like she was ready to bite someone's head off simply out of spite. ''Leaving me at a strip club alone while drunk is not what you do to help someone loosen up.''
I took another step back; she looked like she was a step away from screaming over the phone. Perhaps she noticed my reaction as she immediately calmed herself down.
''You know what forget it…'' a tired sigh left her as she closed her eyes and rubbed her temples. ''When and where do you want to meet up?'' A few moments passed and the voice spoke up once more.
''Understood, try to not make any more problems until I get there, goodbye sir.''
When the call finally ended she let out another sigh and splattered all over the table. Seeing her reaction I couldn't help but be concerned. ''Everything ok?''
She lifted her chin and rested it against the table, looking weakly at me. ''It was my boss, apparently he remembered he has an assistant.''
''So what did he say?'' I asked.
''More or less when and where to meet up with him.''
''Oh, that's good news right?''
''For him at least…'' sighing once again, she lifted herself up and looked at the watch around her wrist. ''Well he said to meet up in about two hours, so I'd better start getting ready.''
I nodded as I watched her get up and reach for her things, even if it was two hours I could tell she needed some time to prepare herself before she left. God knows women take a long time to finish before getting ready to leave for somewhere. The silver haired maiden turned to look at me. ''Can I use your shower?''
''Sure, you have towels and everything you need in the cabinet next to the bath.''
''Thank you.'' She smiled gently as she walked towards the bathroom. A second later the upper half of her head peaked from the door frame. ''If you try peeking on me you'll regret it.''
I could only stare with a half closed eyes at her. ''If I wanted to see you naked I could've easily done it while you were drunk, why would I bother doing it now?''
My remark made her give me a blank glare I response. ''I have mixed feelings about what you just said…''
''Why?''
''N-nothing!'' she muttered as she shut the door behind her.
I could only sigh as I melted in the chair tiredly.
While this wasn't how I imagined I would be spending my time in Paris at least I can't complain about getting bored.
My initially guess was certainly spot on about her spending a long time preparing. She spent over an hour and a half in the bathroom before she finally stepped out all neatly dressed and ready to go.
While she was in there I also got myself ready to head out, which led to the two of us walking together through the streets of Paris.
''You didn't have to escort me Shirou, I already gave you enough trouble as it is.'' Rossweisse said somewhat bashfully as we walked.
I simply gave her a reassuring smile. ''It's no problem at all, I would feel better knowing that you met up with your boss safely.''
''I-I'm a grown woman, I can take care of myself.'' She replied very fast, her accent kicking in as she tried to avoid looking at me, but I could still see her ears turning red. ''But thank you for the concern… its s-sweet of you…''
For a brief moment I caught a glimpse of her face with the corner of my eye, my face heating up as I saw the rather cute expression she had.
Man look at me… I live in a house full of girls, go to a former all-girls high school, and am part of a student council where there's only two guys and seven girls.
Just look at me being all awkward around Rossweisse.
You would think that a guy like me would be used to girls by now.
Still, there was something different about Rossweisse that's for sure. But I couldn't quite put my finger on it about what exactly it was.
''Shirou.'' The sudden calling of my name broke me out of my daydreaming and I looked curiously at Rossweisse. ''We're almost there, but before we arrive I just want to apologize in advance for anything my boss will say. He can be very distasteful at times.''
A resigned sigh escaped my lips. ''Considered how… colorfully you described him last night, I'm tempering my expectations.''
She muttered something under her breath that I didn't quite hear and looked straight up ahead. ''G-Good, you should.''
It didn't take long before we arrived at the meeting place, an open park near downtown of Paris. Rossweisse didn't have any trouble finding her boss as she managed to spot him by his beard of all things.
I didn't understand what she meant by that until we reached the man as he was sitting on a bench reading the newspaper. While I knew from Rossweisse's complaints that he was old, I wasn't expecting him to be this old. In fact he could have easily passed as my grandfather… I think… I don't have grandparents but I was pretty sure I was in the clear with my guess considering his age.
He looked like a frail old man with a long mane of grey hair and even longer beard. His clothing was very casual, a loose green shirt and matching baggy shorts. The thing that stood out however was the gold and white monocle over his left eye; it gave him a sort of intellectual vibe in contrast to his easy going appearance.
As we arrived in front of him the man lowered his newspaper when he saw the sudden shadow towering over him. A smirk spread across his face as he saw who it was.
''Well would you look who decided to drop by.'' He chuckled with glee in his voice. ''Had fun last night lass?''
''Please stop with the jokes sir.'' Rossweisse stated briefly, only seriousness present in her voice in contrast to her boss's teasing tone. ''I had anything but a fun time last night.''
''I can tell by those bags under your eyes.'' A shit eating grin spread across his face as he eyed me from head to toe, one that immediately set off alarm bells in the back of my back for some reason. ''Did the lad perhaps keep you awake all night long?''
''No such thing!'' the silvered haired girl snapped back in pure indignation, the implication he was getting at was also making my face burn in embarrassment. ''Shirou was a perfect gentleman.''
''Was he now?'' his only visible eye half closed and the amusement seemed to die off. ''That's a bit boring if you ask me. Hoped he could pull out that ten foot long stick you have up yer ass.''
What was before a soft pink blush just evolved into a full tomato red inferno, Rossweisse was absolutely fuming. ''That's hardly your problem sir!''
The man didn't flinch at the silver haired maiden's outburst, if anything he found his assistants reaction amusing if the way he was laughing was any indication. ''Technically it isn't, but I'm the one stuck dealing with a lass that is long overdue for a good screwing.''
''Sir! That's sexual harassment!''
''Is it?'' the man tilted his head in pure bewilderment. ''If you compare it to some other shit I did back in my heyday, you would find it quite civil.''
I could swear I just heard something snap right next where Rossweisse was standing. Instincts told me to take a step back and so I did in anticipation for the worst.
''It's that kind of behavior that makes people unable to work for you!'' Rossweisse pretty much snapped and went on a raging tirade of complaints, reminiscent of how Sella would go when bickering with Leysritt. She kept going on and on, listing all of the stuff that she has been enduring under this man's employ. Pretty similar to how she did with me last night, except minus the profanities. Contrary to how most bosses would react, the man didn't seem affected or bothered by it at all. Rather his behavior was like an old man dealing with a child's tantrum, not bothering to take it seriously or pay it any real heed. Heck, he even took out something from the paper bag next to him and proceeded to unwrap it. Without any sort of care for nagging girl in front of him, he simply began eating. This sudden change of events caused Rossweisse to flinch when she saw what her employer unwrapped. ''S-Sir what are you eating?!''
''Oh, this?'' the man muttered with his mouth half full. ''A shawarma I got from across the street.''
Color drained from the silver haired girl's complexion as she went totally pale, taking a step backwards from the pungent smell of the food. ''G-Get it away from me!''
''Stop overreacting, it's really good, especially with pickled peppers.'' He dangled the piece of food in front of her in a teasing manner, close enough for her to feel its heat.
It didn't take long until Rossweisse was holding her mouth and walking away, ''I-I'll be b-back in a minute!''
Both the old man and I watched awkwardly as she dashed in a desperate search for a public toilet. Her boss could only look on with a perplexed expression. ''Sheesh, the lass sure has a weak stomach.''
My left eye throbbed as I heard that, he really was a different kind of jerk it seemed. ''… Perhaps it didn't help that you were shoving food with such strong odors in her face.''
I was not an expert on the matter but I've heard before that foods with strong smells could cause a person going through a hangover some really nasty reactions in some cases. Just like how Rossweisse had experienced just now.
''Maybe.'' The man shrugged his shoulders and went back to eating. I could only stare with a deadpan at the man's shamelessness. ''What?''
I tried my best to keep a straight face. ''Just wondering how is it that out of all food stands in Paris you went for Turkish food.''
''When you're hungry you take what you can get.''
''… Aha.'' I muttered dryly as he finished his food and wiped his fingers. When his hands were finally not greasy anymore I extended my hand to the old man. ''Anyway it's a pleasure to meet you mister…''
''Hm?'' He eyed me curiously with his exposed eye, a curious glint present in it as he accepted my handshake and gave me a firm grip. ''Odinson, a pleasure.''
''Emiya Shirou.''
''All jokes aside, I hope the lass hasn't been too much of a pain in the ass. I know how she can be when she gets piss drunk.''
The corner of my mouth twitched nervously as I recalled what was probably the longest night of my entire life. ''She certainly was… interesting to say the least, but overall she was just stressed and needed someone to listen to her.''
''Did she now?'' One of his eyebrows rose curiously. ''Well not like it wasn't obvious, the lass is way too serious and never has fun so it probably helped unwind a bit.''
''Perhaps…'' I muttered somewhat unsure, there was quite a clear difference between the drunken girl I met last night and the serious and somewhat awkward girl that I met this morning. Though if I think about it she did complain about a lot of stuff in her drunken stupor which showed just how stressed she was.
While I was putting my mind in order, the old man started reading his newspaper again, a large smile spreading across his face as he burst out in crazy laughter. ''Hahahahha!''
The sudden outburst took me by surprise. ''What's so funny?''
''This!'' he roared heartily as he tapped on the newspaper. ''Apparently some hot blooded lad started a riot at a strip joint downtown.''
A chill run down my back at this, I was probably experiencing the meaning of what a deer caught in the headlights felt like.
There had to be a lot of strip clubs in Paris. The chances of multiple incidents happening on the same night aren't impossible… the chances of it happening to any other club besides the one I was in last night were also possible… right?
…
Please don't tell me that the strip club he was talking about was the same one I was in last night.
I tried my best to keep calm, but I could feel the corner of my mouth trembling ever so slightly. ''I-Is that so… And that isfunny because?''
''This part right here.'' He kept tapping on the newspaper, all approving of what he was reading. ''Seems like one of the guys that started this mayhem was a known drug dealer and was distributing his stuff there, when police arrived at the scene to stop the riot they found him and his friends with a lot of drugs on them.''
''Can I look for a moment?''
''Be my guest.''
As I read the article, my eyes would keep widening with each paragraph. Apparently like the old man said those men that hit on Rossweisse last night were rather notorious dealers, and with their capture a full on investigation was started. They decided to 'collaborate' with the police to ease whatever condemnation would follow for them.
Further reading the article another part caught my eye, particularly the damage estimation and the number of people caught in the crossfire. As I saw the numbers a frown formed on my face. ''A lot of people are in the hospital from what happened last night.''
The old man blinked in confusion for a few moments before nodding in realization. ''Oh, that, yeah a lot people randomly got some pretty nasty bruises and cuts, a couple of broken bones here and there but no one died, so it's no big deal.''
''… They still got hurt because of the brawl started by those two… they didn't have anything to do with it and yet they got hurt because of them.''
''Honestly kid I don't see why it's bothering you, it's not like you're the one that started it, and even if you were I doubt you would've intentionally dragged everyone else in your squabble.''
''…'' That remark felt like a slap over my face, those people didn't get randomly injured; they got hurt because of me and my reckless decisions. It's a miracle in itself that no one got killed, but it doesn't change the fact that people got hurt on my account. If I would've thought a little before jumping in like an idiot perhaps all those people wouldn't have ended up like that.
''Besides, it's not like those people didn't know what they were getting into. Like you just read, that place was a host spot for drug dealers and other nasty bunches. Anyone who went there knew what they were risking.''
That may have been true but it didn't justify what happened.
I could feel my hands balling into fists as he went on.
''Honestly a beating was the least bad thing that could've happened to you there, I heard a lot of girls were getting wasted or drugged there and things would really end up bad for them the next day.''
It was at that moment that I felt something snap in my mind.
How dare him!
One of those girls just happened to be his own secretary! The same one he left behind there all alone last night!
If I wasn't there last night who knows what could have happened to her!
''Now you listen her-'' I was about to the old man a piece of my mind but froze as I felt a burning sensation in my pocket. Checking its contents I clicked my teeth in annoyance, the tracking charm Sona gave me decided now of all times to activate. That meant one thing, Loup Garou was nearby. ''Dammit…''
''Something bothering you lad?'' he asked me intrigued by my sudden reaction.
''Yeah…'' a low mutter escaped my lips as I tried to get my thoughts in order. Last night I lost track of Loup Garou and haven't had any luck to get another reading ever since. While it was a good thing it reacted again, I couldn't just leave like this. This was really making me feel on edge between my personal feelings and my mission. ''Work related matters.''
''Is it urgent?''
A headache was quickly forming from the frustration. ''…Very.''
The old man simply sighed and leaned back on the bench. ''Well then I won't hold you here anymore, you already dealt with enough trouble on my behalf.''
''…'' he might have said that but it wasn't really helping me out here with my dilemma.
For a brief moment the old man looked in contemplation at me, it might have been my imagination but I could have sworn that his monocle glowed as he did that. ''Worried you will upset the lass by leaving without notice?''
I grimaced at that remark but stayed silent… he was spot on with his question though.
As he saw my hesitation he got up from his seat and supported himself on his cane, immediately tapping me on the shoulder in a reassuring manner. ''… Look lad, she is a pain in the ass, and can overreact most of the time but overall she is a good girl. She will probably be disappointed for a bit, but will get over it. I will tell her urgent matters came up and you had no choice but to leave.''
The tracking charm in my pocket was starting to lose heat; there was no more time to waste. Only one option was left. ''… Thank you, I owe you one sir.''
''Nah, I'm the one that still owes you a lot for taking care of the lass last night.''
''… I see.'' I muttered as I turned around and started walking away, but not before leaving one last request. ''Please tell her I'm really sorry for this.''
''Will do lad, will do.''
''Never again… am I drinking…'' Rossweisse muttered as she slowly made her way back to the meeting place, holding onto her still aching sides.
Her throat was sore and felt burnt; the vile taste of whatever she regurgitated still lingering in her mouth even after rinsing it out three times. Why… why do people still drink if you can end up like she was currently feeling?
The silvered haired girl always wondered this whenever she was going through a hangover.
''That's what you said last time and yet here we are again.'' Her boss only laughed as he saw her struggling. Fond memories passed of a woman very similar to Rossweisse flooding his mind. ''I swear I don't know who you take after, your gran could put me under the table and still keep going back when she worked for me.''
''I wouldn't be drinking if you didn't keep dragging me to so many questionable places!'' She snapped at her bosses antics; in the first place she didn't even like drinking at all. ''Not only that, you-''
Whatever complaints the silver haired beauty had to say, she dropped it when she noticed that someone was missing. ''Where's Shirou?''
''Oh, him?'' the old man trailed. ''Something came up and he had to leave. He did apologize though.''
Rossweisse opened her mouth to talk, but no words came out. Her eyes shortly drifted towards the ground, a pained expression forming on her face over what had happened.
''… Of course.'' She muttered with a bitter chuckle, unable to hold in the misery she currently felt. ''I mean, who wouldn't run away from me after what I did last night.''
She never had any luck with men.
Whenever she found a guy she actually fancied he was either already in a relationship or she would screw up any attempt to get close to him.
Now it wasn't like there weren't any men that hit on her, but she could tell quite easily that they were interested in her only for her body, which she didn't enjoy that at all.
There was a fine line between admiring a woman for her beauty and simply seeing her as a sex object.
Many women were in fact disgusted by the later, Rossweisse being one of them.
Heck she could have gotten rid of her virginity a long time ago if she really wanted to, but she didn't want her first time to be some meaningless fling. She wanted it to be special, to truly mean something.
It wasn't like she expected to meet that one special guy she was going spend the rest of her life with on her first try, but she at least hoped it would be someone she could have a real relationship with.
And if that person happened to be a handsome guy with a good financial situation and bright future ahead of him that was only a fat juicy bonus for her.
Hence her indignation this morning with Shirou, losing her virginity in a drunken one night stand with some stranger was the complete opposite of what she wanted.
She was beyond relieved when she realized that nothing happened.
Still… Rossweisse was very self-conscious with herself.
Now she wasn't complaining about how she looked, quite the opposite she was well aware that she was an attractive woman, but that was only on the physical level. Her personality on the other hand was honestly somewhat of a turn off due to her rather stiff nature in addition to how she could get when drunk.
As such, if she ever met a guy she liked that still liked her even after seeing her bad sides than she would definitely try to hold onto him.
Maybe… maybe someone like Shirou?
He was certainly handsome enough… but she didn't quite know anything about him besides little bits and pieces she picked up from him this morning.
Rossweisse honestly didn't have any clue what to think anymore. Did she even like him, or was she just simply out of the zone with all that happened in the last 24 hours?
Still…
Was she really an idiot for believing that Shirou could actually like her in spite of all of her flaws?
''Geez stop the depressed face already, the lad was honestly conflicted that he had to leave like this.'' Her boss snapped in irritation as he saw the girl was on the verge of having a crying fit. ''Besides you weren't that bad last night to scare him off, overly clingy perhaps, blue ball to hell and back most certainly, but not scare off.''
There was a twitch of her body, her breathing turning heavy and haggard as she glared at the old man.
''How would you even know that?!'' Rossweisse all but snapped at him, like he had any right to comment on the matter at all. ''You left me at that bar all alone! Who knows what would have happened if Shirou wasn't there last night!''
Her boss was unimpressed by her complaint; he only rolled his eyes and stroked his beard at her outburst. ''Calm your tits lass, do you honestly think that I left you there without any form of supervision or protection?''
Rossweisse blinked repeatedly a couple of times, her head tilting to the side. ''Huh…?''
On cue the old man lifted his staff and pointed it up. The silvered haired girl looked towards where it was directed and saw a pair of ravens sitting on the branches of a nearby tree.
To the normal people passing by they seemed like your everyday ravens, albeit perhaps somewhat larger than normal for their species, but people like Rossweisse could feel that they were magical in nature. In fact she knew who those two ravens were and who they belonged to.
''Huginn and Munnin have been keeping a close eye on you the whole time and were updating me with how you were. If some unsavory individuals would have tried to have their way with you they were under order to interfere.''
Truly, those guys that started hitting on Rossweisse wouldn't have reached their cars if he was forced to step in.
''R-Really?'' Rossweisse muttered clearly in shock.
''Well, that was the initial plan but apparently some strapping lad beat them to it.'' The old man remarked with a chuckle. ''Must say, he is either a perfect gentlemen like you said or just gay, quite hard to say which really.''
It took a couple of seconds for Rossweisse to process this. The pieces began adding up, her boss knew of what happened… the ravens watched over her… it suddenly clicked.
''W-Wait so you saw what happened between us last night?!'' she snapped in panic, hopeful in getting some concrete answers. ''You know what happened?!''
He nodded as he stroked his beard, recalling the events with glee. ''Honestly it was quite an entertaining show, so much so that I even started ignoring the fine lady dancing on my lap just so I could see what happened next between you and the lad.''
In a strange and unusual manner, this touched Rossweisse. ''So you really didn't just ditch me there completely uncaring on what happened to me?''
''Are you kidding me?'' He clicked his tongue in annoyance as he imagined what could happen to him should he had made a mistake last night with his plan. ''If Gondul found out that her granddaughter was defiled under my watch she would have my balls. She would break loose Ragnarok on me, consequences be damned.''
While she didn't like to admit it… he did make a point.
Her granny had always been very protective of her ever since she was little.
When she told her who she was working as a bodyguard/assistant for she only smiled and said she will be right back after she went and had a nice long 'chat' with him.
If the man had planned any sort of serious sexual harassment when he first hired Rossweisse it soon died off after Gondul told him what she would do to him should he try any of it.
Which was a real kick to the old man's balls to say the least; his first criteria for his aides resume were the size of her wrack and the shortness of her skirt. The lass definitely passed the first part with abundant ease, but the threats from Gondul and the fact she wore pants meant he couldn't even enjoy her as eye candy. Shame too, as she had quite the pair of legs as shown off by her Valkyrie armor.
Disappointing as it was for the old pervert, he had to admit that Rossweisse was actually doing a good job though which didn't make this a total loss for him.
The knowledge of learning the truth made the girl fidget for a couple of seconds before he asked. ''Is there any way for me to see what happened?''
A huge shit eating grin quickly spread upon the old man's face, one that made Rossweisse shiver in fear. With a whistle from their master, the ravens flew towards him and landed on his staff. ''Just gaze in the ravens eyes and open your mind.''
Rossweisse nodded and did as instructed, resting her head against one of the ravens and looked directly into its eyes. Slowly but surely what it saw last night was replayed like a movie for Rossweisse to see.
What followed was a series of expressions from the girl.
Her jaw dropped as she saw the amount of drinks she chugged down when she was left alone at the bar.
Her face exploded with a crimson blush as she saw how Shirou was putting up with her drunken rants.
Her heart skipped a beat when she saw how Shirou defended her like a knight in shining armor.
Her face turned grim as she watched herself throw up all over her saviors back.
Her face burst into a vibrant red as she saw what followed at the hotel.
''WHAT?!'' she shrieked in utter mortification as she saw what he she began doing to Shirou once she tackled him on the bed. The sheer obscenities she did… '' I DID ALL OF THAT TO HIM?!''
''By Ymir's corpse, did you turn into a banshee or something lass?'' her boss muttered as she rubbed his buzzing ears, clearly not understanding her issue, it wasn't like she went all the way with him and did anything that can be remotely considered sex of any kind. Heck what she did to the lad hardly counted as teasing in his book.
She couldn't believe it!
The way she behaved was utterly lewd and shameless!
Heck she had seen cheap escorts with more class than what she displayed last night.
Forget about talking to her, how could Shirou even look at her with such a friendly smile after what she did?!
If she would have been in his shoes she wouldn't even have the guts to sit in the same room with such a woman.
The Norse beauty was shocked, the fact that he was still even in that hotel room in the morning and didn't just leave completely baffled her.
The girl froze for a moment as she realized something crucial.
She did all of that last night… and Shirou was still willing to talk and be nice to her the way he did this morning? She could feel her heart begin to flutter the more she thought about it.
He was able to go through ALL of that and still able to smile at her like that?
C-Could it be…?
W-Was he… that special person?
… And she just missed him?
The air around the girl seemed to grow heavy and dark, an eerie silence was all that Rossweisse displayed before she turned around and slowly walked to a nearby tree.
She started punching the tree as she raged to the heavens.
''FUCK! I FINALLY MET A GOOD GUY AND I SCREWED IT UP!" the girl cried frustration as she kept clobbering the tree. ''AND I NEVER EVEN GOT HIS NUMBER ~WAAAAHHHHHH~!''
As her failing anger management session was being held, her boss could only stare awkwardly at her, a sweat drop rolling down his face.
With a crack of his neck he got up and began walking away.
''Should I remind her that she knows the hotel he's staying at, or that I made my ravens look in the hotel log and got his phone number?'' the old man told himself, stroking his beard in contemplation. ''Nah, I can do that later, the day had just begun and the fine ladies of the strip clubs are waiting for me.''
Odinson, or rather Odin the All Father of the Norse pantheon knew this vacation would be an entertaining one.
The moment I was out of the old man's line of sight I began dashing like a mad man while avoiding going too fast as people were still around. I couldn't just display superhuman speed in broad daylight after all.
What I did instead was concentrate on maintaining a stable uninterrupted dash as I didn't have the luxury of stopping to catch my breath.
The charm in my pocket was getting warmer and warmer as I advanced. I might have missed him last night but today will be different, this time I won't fail.
As I turned the corner and got in a dark alley I noticed with the corner of my eye Archer giving me a contemplating glare. ''About time you got away from her.''
I ignored that remark and continued my dash, jumping over a pair of trash cans and what appeared to be a homeless man. ''She wasn't that bad Archer, I actually think she was a sweet girl.''
''That's not what I was concerned of.'' He stated gruffly, this time he was serious. ''You felt it didn't you?''
My face grew grim as he mentioned.
So that's what he was on about.
''Yeah…'' I responded unsure, trying to recall that particular presence I felt from Rossweisse whenever I was in contact with her.
''So you realized she wasn't human and yet still left yourself exposed like that.'' Archer was anything but amused, in fact he seemed quite annoyed.
''I didn't feel any hostility from her...''
''I'd say she was quite hostile when she bashed your face.'' The white haired man remarked with a snarl.
My nose throbbed as I remember that bit and yet I still didn't hold it against the girl. ''That one was justified and you know it.''
''And funny, but that's beside the point.'' Archer scoffed as he went on. ''Whatever she was it was putting me on edge and don't even get me started on her boss.''
''You felt it too?'' I involuntarily shivered and nodded weakly, the presence this Odinson guy had was definitely inhuman but it wasn't the same as the vibe I got from devils. Truth be told I felt on edge during every second of the conversation I had with him, as if something really could happen if I took the wrong step.
The grim nod Archer gave me only served to make this conversion all the more serious. ''He was suppressing his power very well so I couldn't tell what he was exactly but I know for certain he isn't even remotely human.''
Well that didn't help… heck it made me more worried since knowing that even with his power suppressed he still put me on the edge like that… just imagining what his true power was like unrestricted terrified me. ''What about Rossweisse? Any clues about her?''
Archer took a moment looked like he was contemplating. ''There were times I stumbled across similar presences, so I may have an idea or two about what it was.''
I raised an eyebrow as I climbed on a fire escape. ''And that being?''
''Divinity.''
I almost choked on my tongue when I heard this. ''W-Wait, divinity as in godly power, you mean she's a goddess?''
''… Not certain.'' The red clothed man shook his head. ''It's similar, but different… how should I put it… it felt… diluted. I came across demi-gods before so I can recognize that particular aura around them, but hers was so weak. I can't tell if she has divine blood in her veins or if she received the blessings of a god.''
While I did nod at this, is still wasn't able to think about Rossweisse and think of her as a threat in spite of it. ''… I get that you're worried but I think you are overreacting.''
Even if she hypothetically is a god or something close to one, she was like any normal girl. The way she behaved and reacted was very human so to say.
Heck the only inhuman thing about her was her ephemeral beauty.
Huh…
I wonder if the whole divine bit is why I found Rossweisse so breathtaking…
Perhaps a form of 'charm'… no that wouldn't make sense given how Rossweisse reacted in the morning. If she truly had such powers and did plan on using them on me I doubt I could resist her.
''Trust me, whenever gods are involved its already bad news.''
Well it wasn't like I didn't agree; from my lessons with Sella gods have always abused and mistreated humanity whenever it suited them. Only a few of them hardly treating humans like their lives had value. ''Even if that's true, I can tell Rossweisse is a good person.''
My remark only served to put a scowl on Archer's face. ''… It's that idealistic way of thinking that will get you killed one day.''
Hearing him say that really bugged me, my teeth grinding in annoyance at his response. ''If the choice is between being an idealistic fool or being a cynical guy like you I will always chose the former.''
The red bowman gave me a deep 'tsk' as he dematerialized, leaving me alone with my job.
With him out of the way I brought all my attention back on the tracking charm I held. With a foot firmly planted on the edge of a rooftop I took in the scenery and found the lead I needed.
I wondered if tracking down prey was anything like what I was doing.
It's been around three hours since I started this wild goose chase and I had little to no result to show for it. There are many things I could be saying about Loup Garou at the moment but I had to give the man credit, he was good at shaking off those after his trail.
After hours of essentially playing a game of cat and mouse with him I finally had a breakthrough in the form of my target stopping at a local café. Also much to my own luck the man was sitting at a table reading the menu when I stepped in there myself.
In spite of me walking towards him and taking a seat right across from him he never lifted his eyes to look at me. ''You're a hard man to find you know that…''
Now that I stood in front of him I got to take a closer look at him, the man certainly was more imposing than in the picture I had of him. He towered over me by a full head and had a body frame very similar to that of Sairaorg Bael. He wore a red bandana around his head to keep the ash grey hair from obstructing his pale yellow eyes. ''Well it's good that I managed to track you down, now with that out of the way I can-''
''Stop.'' The man finally spoke, cutting me off, his pale yellow eyes staring dangerous at me. ''Fifteen.''
I only blinked confused in reaction. ''What?''
''I tend to visit Paris pretty often with work, so I frequent this café a lot. Fifteen is the amount of minutes it takes for them to bring me my usual order and for me to finish it.'' His eyes further narrowed and teeth seemed to have sharpened. ''That will be the amount of time you have to tell me what the hell you want from me and why you've been following me the past few days.''
While I would be lying if I said that his little intimidation tactic didn't work on me, I tried to avoid showing it by keeping my expression neutral. ''Not much of a talking person are you?''
''You have fourteen minutes and thirty five seconds.''
I could only sigh; this whole situation was just getting better and better. ''Sona Sitri sent me on behalf of your father who you've been ignoring by all means of contact.''
A waitress came and brought his order, a large bowl of ice cream consisting of many flavors and toppings. Its sheer size was quite intimidating; I probably wouldn't be able to go through a quarter of it before getting a bad case of brain freeze.
''Sona huh… I haven't seen or heard from her in a long time.'' He hummed in interest at this, but his stoic expression was saying otherwise. ''And my old man decided to involve her in this?''
If the way he was gripping the corner of the table was any indication, the man was pissed about this. ''It's more like he didn't have a choice anymore since he exhausted all other means to find you. So he ended up calling a devil for a favor.''
Rather than react in any offensive way, he simply rolled his eyes. ''And? What does daddy dearest want?''
''Come home.'' I stated clearly without beating around the bush anymore. ''I was told that for the last six months you've been on the hunt for a dangerous individual and each time he got word of you it involved you getting injured or causing collateral damage on this relentless mission of yours.''
''Is that so…?'' he trailed as he took a bite of his ice cream. ''Not happening.''
I tried to protest about this but he immediately cut me off. ''I haven't spent the last half year hunting for this bitch to back away right when I finally have her cornered. So unless you have a good reason for me not to go then you can just go and fuck off.''
My jaw tightened as I realized that nothing I was going to say will get through this man.
At least nothing of what I knew or was told to say anyway.
Time was quickly going by and I wasn't coming up with any argument that might help my situation. Before I even realized it the man's ice cream bowl was already empty, and he was paying the bill for his order.
He was completely ignoring me at this point, without as much as a warning or a goodbye he got up and was about to leave.
I reached out and grabbed him by the arm, stopping him in his tracks. ''Wait, while I'm not aware of all the details, from how everything stands your hunt isn't worth the worry it causes to your family.''
The glare he shot towards me was something new, a sort of mix between annoyance and mild curiosity. The French man narrowed his yellow eyes dangerously at me. ''Do you have a mother?''
That out of the blue question only confused me if anything. ''I don't see what this has to do with-''
''Answer the question kid.''
''I do, so?'' My face turned neutral as I went on, a foreboding feeling of unconformity surging through me.
He gave me an impassive nod and went on. ''Good, now tell me, do you love her?''
Now that was a question that made me feel awkward and rather embarrassed, my face instantly flaring up in embarrassment causing me to sheepishly rub the back of my head. ''W-Well love, is a big word, I mean I do care a lot for Iri and all but-''
Before I could finish my stuttering mess of a sentence the gray haired man grabbed me by the shirt and pulled me close to him, pale yellow eyes glaring dangerously at me. ''Then if I went and crippled her would you let me walk away?''
…
What?
What did he just say?
Cripple Iri?... Cripple my mother?!
For a moment all I saw was red… a seething feeling of hatred surged through me screaming to forget about everything else and just ram a blade against this man's throat.
In all honesty I was surprised I didn't do just that, as I stood there it felt incredibly tempting to do so.
''Your reaction is enough of an answer.'' Loup Garou muttered with a tired sigh, letting go of my shirt, all the animosity he had a few seconds ago seemed to have lessened to some extent. ''Then you should know that I'm not planning to stop no matter what you tell me.''
He said nothing more and just gave me a pat on the shoulder, leaving the café without looking back.
While I didn't have all the pieces of the puzzle yet, I had just enough to make a rough picture of what was going on here. His adamant insistence that he must capture this 'target' no matter the cost, and why he was doing so was pretty apparent.
I didn't approve of it… seeking vengeance like this wasn't right for so many reasons… and yet… and yet a part of me can't help but sympathize with him.
If… if I were in his shoes… if someone were to hurt Iri like that… would I be able to hold onto my moral code or would I be seeking vengeance like Loup Garou?
The mere idea of someone hurting my mother was making my blood boil.
I was so blinded by this inner conflict that I didn't even notice when Archer manifested next to me, the stare he gave me was one of pity.
''It's difficult isn't it?'' the red clothed man asked, the usual sass gone, just a solemn intrigue present on his features. ''Having people to care for?''
I chose not to respond, my eyes narrowing at the tracking charm in my hand that was starting to get colder.
''Suddenly everything feels like it has more weight doesn't it?''
That remark felt like it was tearing through me but I ignored it and anything else Archer had to say. I dashed after Loup Garou, now wasn't the time to be sentimental. ''I'm not letting him go like this.''
Archer said nothing more and merely sighed as he vanished once more.
Tracking Loup Garou once more proved to be even more difficult than the previous times. Perhaps he was aware that I was still following him and kept trying to shake me off his trail.
Whatever the case it may have been, it never stopped me from trying to catch up to him. As such the following six hours I had spent doing just that. Before I knew it the sun was long gone and it was starting to get dark outside.
It all led to me eventually tracking him to some sort of underground entrance hidden somewhere in the city. There was a sort of mechanism built within the wall that triggered a hidden door to open when activated. It helped that reinforcing my eyes allowed me to see things clear even from miles away, as such I was able to see which bricks I had to press and in what sequence in order to activate the door and keep following the man.
When I got inside my nose instantly protested from the stench it felt. The more I walked within the old and moldy tunnels the more I realized that I was slowly descending further underground.
From what I read about in passing before, the underneath of Paris had an incredible complex network of passages in its sewer system dating way back to the 1300's. It was akin to a labyrinth, so incredible in fact that they made a museum out of it. People were even able to visit sections to see for themselves.
The one I'm in right now however was not one made open to the public.
Sona did give me a brief explanation that there were still a lot of tunnels that didn't appear on any official human documents, tunnels which were previously involved in supernatural incidents.
Tunnels that were sealed off so no regular humans could easily waltz in by accident.
Like the very ones I was exploring at the moment.
As it stood, I was pretty much lost in here, the only sort of compass I had on hand was the tracking charm from Sona and that was only as a means to follow Loup Garou. If I ended up completely losing track of him that would be really bad.
While I was busy cutting through the jungle of spider webs as the guy squatting in my mind decided to talk to me again. ''You know there's something that's out of place.''
''And that is?''
''Why was it necessary for Sona Sitri to send you here just to deliver a message?''
''Wasn't it because Loup Garou turned off all forms of communications from his family?''
''… That may be true, but sending a person all the way from Japan to Paris seems off. Someone with a family like hers most certainly has many connections, even non-devil ones, even if she didn't with her money she could have easily hired someone else to do it instead. She could have gotten someone far more capable and well versed in diplomacy who would know how to negotiate with this Loup Garou. Something just isn't adding up in this story.''
I was getting a really bad feeling about this. ''Your point being?''
''There's more to this than Sona let on.''
That accusation made my legs stop dead in their tracks, voice harsh and cold. ''… Are you saying she lied to me?''
The 'hmm' sound he was making didn't help. ''That is a possibility yes, but you don't have to lie in situations like this, only intentionally omit a few details, which isn't exactly lying.''
''…'' I didn't reply and tried to figure this out; Sona had no reason to lie to me. Ever since my involvement in the supernatural began she has been nothing but helpful. When this mission came up and noticed that I wasn't in the best state she was even against sending me in the first place.
While I couldn't see what else there could be at play here. I can't help but give some thought to what Archer just mentioned.
''No more smart replies?''
My fists tightened, trying to calm myself back down and focus on what I truly have to deal with. ''Shut up. I'll have a talk with Sona when this is all over, but until then I will give her the benefit of the doubt.''
After this Archer said no more and left me to my own devices.
Two hours have passed since I first got down here and I was starting to get annoyed by these tunnels. While I knew Paris was a big city: there were still too many damn tunnels!
It didn't help that I got lost a couple of times earlier either.
How was I able to tell?
I came across the same dead animal bones several times.
While the smell of the place no longer bothered me, the fact I got used to seeing my current surroundings due to how long I've been down here honestly isn't something I think is a good thing.
After another hour of looking around, all the results of my efforts were finally bearing fruit.
I was sitting hidden behind the corner at one of the rooms many entrances, which turned out to be a smart move on my part given what I saw when I finally caught sight of the rebellious man.
He wasn't alone.
Near him were about fifteen men dressed in priest garments, all sporting guns and what appeared to swords with blades made out of light.
The air around them was a dangerous one. While they didn't appear to be openly hostile towards Loup Garou, their glares made it clear that they didn't like the gray haired man or hold him in high regard.
That being said one of the priests snarled when he saw the man approach them. ''About damn time you got here you damn mutt, thought you took our money and ran away.''
''Whatever.'' Loup Garou rolled his eyes as he arrived in front of them. He seemed to count the people present and frowned as he finished. ''I recall requesting a full squadron for this operation, where are the others?''
Another one of the priests laughed arrogantly at this. ''This is all you will get, there's no reason to waste time and resources for one lousy vampire.''
That remark really seemed to annoy the Frenchman. ''That so called lousy vampire is much more dangerous and tenacious than you think. Your superiors are way over their heads, believing that this will be enough to make the cut.''
If that warning was meant to worry the priests, it failed to deliver. ''Please, we've got ourselves one of the big shots leading this mission.''
''Really?'' An eyebrow skeptically rose on Loup Garou's face. ''Who?''
That bit of information aroused my curiosity as well. It didn't take a genius to deduce that these guys were exorcists of the church and they are probably here for some kind of mission. Just as I was about to move away from my vantage point I felt something hard and cold press against the back of my head. ''That would be me.''
My body went limp as I heard the sweet voice behind me. Slowly I turned my head and with the corner of my eyes I saw who had snuck up behind me. To my surprise it was a nun, a nun who was currently holding a gun point blank to my head.
In spite of her wearing the classic attire of a catholic nun, and the only parts of her body visibly exposed were her face and front bangs I couldn't help but stare at her a little. She was quite a beautiful lady. Fair skin paired together with sharp blue eyes and pale blond hair, strong defined cheekbones and glistering lips.
Her demeanor was that of a friendly if not amused woman, which gave off an odd contrast due to the fact that she was holding a gun to my head. ''Griselda Quarta, a pleasure to meet you, also I would advise you not to make any sudden movements.''
I didn't respond and took that moment instead to structural grasp the gun she held. When I was done I couldn't help but swallow a little; its quality was very good. It was crafted from metals with purifying qualities and plated with silver. A weapon blessed by the archbishop of the Vatican, and possessing a high caliber. The kind of gun used to take down big prey; even if I reinforced my body a shot from that thing at point blank would still blow a chunk of my head off.
It didn't help either that while I was reading the weapons history I also saw how well this woman handled it. Her accuracy with firearms was almost as precise as mine with the bow.
However my silence didn't seem to go well with her, her sweet smile was still present but she pulled the guns safety down. ''It's rather late for exploring the sewers, don't you think?''
''I seem to have lost track of time. '' Not wanting to trigger any sort of incident I calmly raised my hands up to show my cooperation. ''Emiya Shirou, a shame I can't say that it's also a pleasure for me.''
''Boss!''
Fortunately or unfortunately depending on the perspective, the other priests present soon took notice of us and quickly surrounded me. All of them immediately pointed their guns and light swords at me ready to strike me down.
The situation I found myself in was quite bad. Given the threatening way they were glaring at me all they were waiting for was a signal from the woman behind me and I would be turned into a human pincushion.
The saving bell however came from the last person I was expecting. ''The fuck are you doing here kid?''
At this colorful remark the priest cleared the way so the gray haired man could walk in front of me. Everyone present was very skeptical about what was going on given their confused stares. All eyes were now on me and Loup Garou. The tension could be felt in the air, at the first sign of a misstep things could easily end up real ugly.
I had to keep calm and get control of this situation; my hands were still raised up to avoid making any sudden movements. Instead I opted for more neutral demeanor. ''Well you didn't give me much of a choice given how you ran out on me the way you did.''
''This is unbelievable… just great, now I have a stalker.'' A grumble was heard from him as he spat to the side.
''I take it you gentlemen know each other?'' the nun asked with a rather curious look on her face, though her gun was still glued to the back of my head.
''Unfortunately.'' Loup Garou snarled as he rolled his eyes.
While our interaction seemed to reduce the tension in the air, it didn't fully eliminate it. The nun behind me was still keeping her finger firmly against the gun's trigger. ''Do you mind sharing what this is all about?''
''It's classified.'' I responded calmly trying to keep my unease hidden, this could end really badly for me and Sona if they found out who I am. ''Unless my friend over there feels like telling you then I have no intention of doing so myself.''
''Personal business.'' he replied with a growl, clearly irritated that I was mixing him into this more than he already was. ''It doesn't have anything to do with our mission.''
''Is that so…?'' she hummed as she lowered the gun, the hostile presence from her fading away. ''Well, I suppose there is no use prying then.''
Once I no longer felt the cold steel of gun barrel pressed against my skin I felt I could finally breathe at ease once more. Yet I was wrong as a chill soon ran down my spine when I tried to take a step forward. ''However, I can't ignore the stench of devil magic you have on yourself.''
My reflexes didn't react in time, the nun had already grabbed me by the arm as she muttered some kind of prayer. ''Ha!'' a loud shout echoed as light surged from her directly into me.
I felt the foreign power invade my body, surging through it like a wild current as if it searched for something. Moments later it made its way to my right hand, the back of it felt like it was being pressed against a branding iron. The pain didn't last long, only a couple of seconds, but when it subsided the blue marks on my hand glowed for all the people present to see.
Every exorcist present resumed battle stance once they laid their eyes on the mark.
''… The mark of the house of Sitri.'' the nun, Griselda eyed me with a sharp glare, the information that I was part of the house of Sitri clearly didn't sit well with her and yet she still she held her smile. ''Now isn't this interesting, I don't recall any reports of a Sitri devil being in Paris at the moment.''
Light swords were raised and guns were loaded as murderous intent washed over me. Even if I was surrounded up until now, the feeling was different than it had been before. I truly felt the weight of the situation I was currently in now. ''So do tell, what is one such as yourself so far away from home in the middle of church territory, without any sort approval?''
Well... this is bad.
The fact that she revealed my mark to everyone was pretty much a confirmation to them that I am a Sitri devil, even though I'm still human.
Back when this all began Sona placed on me a magical seal, one that was used to differentiate oneself from a stray devil. As it stands, while the church has a lot of bad blood with devils thanks to the current state of affairs they can't just randomly kill them for no good reason. If they were to unwarrantedly kill someone of important status it could very well cause a major incident which could in turn trigger a full on war between factions.
That being said, the seal pretty much acted as identification papers so to say, and not having one was bad.
Normally this would have worked as a safety measure for me, but in this particular case it acted as incriminating evidence.
This whole mission only worked because I wasn't a devil, none of the agreements the church had with the devil side did not apply to me. However, given my current circumstances proving that I am human may prove a tad difficult.
This won't do at all. I have to come up with something quick and get through this without causing problems for Sona and the devil side in general.
Aunt Maiya told me that when held up at gun point showing a calm and unaffected look was crucial, act like you had everything under control and people were more likely to listen to what you say.
''Like I said it's personal business, it doesn't involve you guys.'' I explained casually, trying to mimic the blank expression my dad had when he was dealing with my mother's loony antics. Taking an experimental step forward, the guns hammers all clicked and were ready to be used. With a tired sigh I glanced over at Griselda and gave her an all knowing smile. ''... You aren't going to let me walk out of here, are you?''
Much to my own annoyance and embarrassment Griselda got up close to me and put the barrel of her gun under my chin. Now that part normally wouldn't be much of an issue for me, but her rather incredibly well-endowed chest her habit failed to hide also pressed up against mine. It was a serious effort on my part to keep a straight face at this and not react. ''Who knows, depending on your answer I may or may not do so.''
Calm down Shirou… now wasn't the time for any distracting thoughts.
I tried my best to fake a cool and composed attitude. ''I'm just here to deliver a message on behalf of my friend Sona Sitri, I'm not breaking any sort of rules or laws of the church.''
There was muttering among the group of exorcists when I mentioned Sona, no doubt that they were aware whose sister she was and they could imagine what kind of political nightmare it could lead to if they injured or killed a kin of one the Maou's sisters.
But that was assuming of course if I was actually who I claimed to be. It wasn't like the house of Sitri was formed from only Sona or her sister. They still had many aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces that bear the Sitri name. Heck for all they knew I could be working under one of the distant relatives and not Sona herself. So until they could check the facts properly it was a gamble of whether it was worth to kill me or not.
''Are you now?'' the nun purred as she slid down the barrel of her gun from my chin to my nose, in slow and almost caressing like manner. A clear intimidation tactic, meant to make me break from fear and confess everything to her. ''Because last time I checked a devil intentionally stepping foot on church protected territory without approval is a serious offense.''
The icy tone in her voice was made all the more clear that underneath her amicable if not friendly persona, this woman was not playing around.
She was just waiting for me to give her a reason to shoot.
As much influence as Sona's name may have, it didn't change the current set of facts. I was sneaking around in church territory without any prior notice and am interfering with one of their operations. They could very well shoot me down and claim that I attacked first and the repercussion would be lower than expected given how suspect everything regarding me seemed. Besides this isn't the life of a devil noble we're talking about, just that of a meager human.
Sadly for her, I had no intention of fulfilling that request.
''Indeed it is, it's exactly as you said, but that applies only for devils.'' the calm and sort of suave tone I had was something new even for me. ''Which I must inform you that I am not, I'm just your everyday human, so those rules don't apply to me.''
It didn't take long for my statement to be responded in kind.
''That's bullshit!"
"He's taking us for idiots!"
"Just shoot the punk already Boss!"
In all honesty I was already expecting these kinds of reactions from the exorcists around me.
Griselda though seemed to have more class and composure than the rest of the group, opting for a more civilized approach to things.
''Do I look like a fool?'' the nun narrowed her eyes at me, icy blue meeting ember yellow. ''You expect me to believe that a devil noble willingly inscribed their family crest onto a human?''
She wasn't wrong to think that, it sounded very farfetched but i still went on with this story. ''Sona Sitri and I are rather close. As a sign of good will and trust she gifted me with it.''
''Is that so…?'' a small Cheshire-cat like smile spread across the nuns face. She reached with her free hand to the side slit of her robe and pulled a hilt. The mechanism was then triggered and a sword of light manifested from it, the glowing edge pointed dangerously close to my throat. ''Then if you truly are human as you say and I were to use my light sword against you, there wouldn't be any problem now would it?''
Once again she tried to intimidate me.
After a quick structural grasp of the weapon I could see why she chose to pull that out instead of keep using the gun. It was a weapon made out of light element, gifted by the angels of heaven and tempered into a physical form.
It was vastly inferior to holy element that I read about but it was still poison to devils. A small cut from it would still cause damage and a lot of pain to devils and other unholy beings.
That being said a devil would normally avoid being in contact with this weapon entirely, let alone letting themselves get purposely cut by one.
An idea popped into my head because of this.
In a swift motion I grabbed the blade of her sword, eliciting a surprised gasp from the woman. ''W-What are you-''
Before she could finish or anyone else could react I brought the blade up close to my face, running its tip along my cheek.
The sight of me cutting myself with her weapon caused a mass of confusion within the exorcists present.
''Is that enough proof for you?'' I asked the still shocked nun with an impassive tone, but still further offering alternatives to prove myself. ''If not, would you like for me to drench myself in holy water or let you perform exorcism rites on me?''
The woman took a moment to break out of her stupor, her eyes focused at the bleeding cut on my face, letting out a dry cough into her fist before she responded. ''… No, that will not be necessary. It would be a waste of time and resources.'' The nun's icy glare directing itself at the still glowing mark on my hand. ''Yet I'm still curious how you received that mark?''
''Like I said, Sona Sitri and I are close.'' I shrugged my shoulders causally in hopes of her dropping the subject.
The nun had retracted her blade and placed it back underneath her garment, but the look she gave was telling me that she was far from done with me.
''That isn't much of a valid reason in my opinion. Devils have always been a prideful race. To them such an action would be seen as an insult to their kind as the mark is only reserved for their family members, their retainers, and the few that have earned their utmost trust.'' she tucked her gun away but not before giving me a calculating look. ''I have never heard of it being granted to a human so easily.''
She was definitely skeptical about all of this, telling her the exact circumstances about how I came to be in this specific situation would be both far too difficult and a security risk. I had to somehow bullshit my way out of this. ''Maybe she likes me, I don't know. Give her a call and ask her yourself for details if you're that curious.''
''Unfortunately that will have to wait, right now we are under official business.'' She rearranged her habit and gestured to her men to lower their weapons, which they reluctantly complied. Once their weapons were down she began walking towards her men, and I couldn't help but notice the certain sway her hips had as she walked by. I quickly brought by eyes back up when she turned around and gave me a warning glare. ''That being said, it would be in both our best interests for you to leave before things get messy.''
As she left the others soon followed suit, the only one that staying behind was Loup Garou and he seemed quite irritated. I was feeling somewhat awkward now. ''Well… she seemed nice.''
He opened his mouth and looked like he was a step away from swearing but he managed to compose himself. ''Look kid I already told you before; I have no interest in cooperating. If you really want me to listen to what you have to say let me get this over and then we can talk.''
That was an option, yet it was a risky one. I had no guarantee that he would survive this mission. ''I know this probably won't make a difference but I've been told this person your hunting is bad news, your father can't help but be worried for you.''
That reply really seemed to get under his skin. ''My father has no right to be worried for me! If he really cared he would be here helping me out not talking me into coming home.''
Was this what adults mean when they say their kids are going through a rebellious phase?
I don't know why but I felt that was what was going on here.
A sigh escaped my lips as I rubbed my head in mild annoyance. ''I didn't come all the way from Japan to France just return empty handed.''
He covered the distance between us and yanked me by the shirt, making sure that I looked him dead in the eyes. ''Then get lost and wait, look for me tomorrow and pray that I break that vampire bitches neck.''
With nothing left to say he let go of my shirt and turned to walk away.
I didn't respond at first nor did as he said. I simply took a seat on a nearby broken pillar and tried to quickly put my mind in order before they finished talking and leave.
My thoughts came to a halt as I felt a cold breeze hit my lower back, I turned around to check but there was just a wall behind me, one without any opening or crack for air to come through. While it wasn't something important, it bothered me so I further went to check it out. When I hopped over the broken pillar I felt something give crack. After a closer look at where I was standing; I noticed that the air was coming from beneath my feet. It was coming through the cracks in the ground. When I knocked on the ground, I noticed there was an echo.
''Didn't you hear what I told you?!'' I heard Loup Garou shout at me in mild annoyance. He probably was expecting me to be already out of here by now.
''Wait there's something here-'' before I could finish explaining myself he stepped right next to me, the floor letting out a noticeable cracking sound as he cut me off.
''Look stalling or hanging around won't work so just stop it already.''
''It's not that, just give me a second to explain-"
''What are you two doing there?'' once again I was unable to finish as I was cut off again, this time by the approaching catholic nun. ''If you plan to waste out time mister Garou than you should just leave!''
I could almost hear how the tick mark on the Frenchman's forehead was throbbing. ''Oh, don't you get me started too!''
Griselda was unimpressed, keeping herself high and stoic as she drew close to us. ''I will do as I see fit, I'm responsible for this mission and I'm not willing to put up with your problems!''
There were several cracking sounds as the nun was near us. My sweat ran cold as I understood what that meant and in a panic I tried to stop her. ''Wait don't come any closer!''
It was already too late; she had passed the broken pillar and reached us. A loud snapping sound echoed as the floor beneath us broke and caved in.
By the time the two people next to me realized it we were already falling down.
''Boss!''
I don't know how long it took… Or how far we fell down… but after a long session of haphazardly stumbling down we finally hit the bottom.
Everything was so dizzy and dark; my mind felt it just got put through the blender at full blitz. I couldn't really tell where we were or how I survived such a fall.
What I found most interesting was the very soft and silky surface I had pressed against my face. It smelled rather nice and felt very warm and cozy here.
''Man… that was a rough ride.'' I heard Loup Garou speak in between dry coughs. ''You two idiots still alive?''
There was an odd snicker in his voice when he asked that.
''I'll manage.'' I muttered weakly from wherever I was, still unsure what my face was pressed up against.
''I am fine.'' this time it was Griselda that spoke, but her voice seemed rather strained and pitched for some reason. There was a shift from the surface I was on, something very soft began gripping on my head followed with the spread of an ice cold killing intent. ''Also mister Emiya, while I do feel a bit awkward for accusing you of being a devil, that doesn't make us intimate. So I will count to five. By the time I'm finished I expect your head out of my habit lest you wish to get a sword run through you.''
''Eh?'' it took a moment for my mind to reboot at this.
My head in her habit?
How the hell could my head be in her habit-
Oh…
Ohhhhhhh...
Crap.
''One, two, three,-'' My body squirmed around in a panic, trying to get my head out of there, the sudden movement caused her to moan in surprise. ''F-Four, Fiv-
In a fit of panic and idiocy I reinforced my body and leaped myself backward. I almost breathed in relief but that quickly became a painful gasp as I apparently hit the wall that was behind me.
When I stumbled forward I almost let out something profane. My head felt like it just got smacked with a baseball bat.
Slowly and limply I got back up, my throbbing eyes catching sight of Griselda rearranging the lower part of her clothes, an irritated scowl present on her flushed face.
My tongue felt like it got tangled in my mouth, I was unable to look the woman in the eyes considering just where my head was a minute ago.
Still I couldn't just stay silent about this.
In spite of feeling super awkward and so embarrassed that I just want to bury my head in the ground, I still tried to apologize, bowing my head and upper body down low to show it. ''S-Sorry, it wasn't on purpose.''
There was a heavy pressure crushing down on me as I waited for a response. The silence was killing me; anything would do as long as she got this over with.
To my surprise there wasn't any violent outburst, just a single annoyed 'humph'.
''I highly doubt one would be so perverted to try and feel a woman's body in that kind of situation.'' She elaborated calmly a she arranged her veil, but she did not neglect to give me an icy glare. ''Next time it happens do expect a bullet in the leg.''
''Y-Yes ma'am.''
Just what kind of rotten luck can a guy have to end up underneath a woman's dress while falling down several floors?
Well… Now that I looked around I realized how come neither of us got injured when we crashed here. Our fall was softened by a car sized pile of old clothes and sheets. This placed looked like an old wash-house given the large number of washing machines lined up on the sides.
Perhaps that trap door was an old laundry slide.
Guess we were lucky, even if it wouldn't have killed us a fall like that would probably at least broken a few bones.
As I scanned the room I noticed that I wasn't the only one doing it. The other two were inspecting the hole from which we fell from.
''Can we climb back up?'' Griselda asked Loup Garou who was first at the tunnel exit.
''I doubt it, the walls are far too slippery and not narrow enough.'' He made his hand into a claw and then shoved it to one of the tunnels walls, his arm reaching all the way to his elbow through it. Without a second to waste he pulled it out along with several chunks of the wall, the look on his face seemed rather annoyed. ''… Also very dilapidated, so we can't make footholds either, we'd be buried half way there.''
Griselda gave a small nod and further narrowed her eyes. "We did fall quite a bit until here, and my team aren't equipped with climbing tools, the chances of them reaching us through there are almost nonexistent.''
''So any ideas?'' the gray haired man asked with a scoff.
''We should try and move on, and with some luck we will regroup with the others.''
''… I'm still here you know?'' For some reason I felt like a third wheel here, specifically because they seemed to be planning out their next course of actions and weren't even noticing me let alone asking for my opinion.
''No need to remind me.'' Loup Garou snarled.
''You are aware that this mission does not concern you?'' Griselda asked me with a skeptically raised eyebrow.
A sweat drop ran down my forehead as I pointed at the tunnel we just came from, and the only other door in the room. ''It's not like I have anywhere else to go from here…''
Griselda let out an exasperated sigh as she walked over next to me, gazing at me with the corner of her eye. ''... I suppose there's not much of a choice. For the time being you can join us mister Emiya, but that is only until we find a marked tunnel, afterwards I expect you to leave.''
Well in all honesty I didn't want to leave, perhaps i can think of a way to convince the tall and grumpy guy behind me to listen to me until we find one of the main tunnels. ''... I have no complaints at the moment.''
A bemused smile spread across her lips. ''Excellent.''
When the nun passed by me, I felt a hand on my shoulder, looking up I saw Loup Garou giving me a serious look. ''Piece of advice kid, tread carefully around that chick.''
That I wasn't expecting, considering how little to no care he displayed up until now for me. ''I take it she is strong?''
''I'd rather call her whack job if anything.'' He remarked solemnly. ''Heard she once fought a devil and castrated him with her bare hands.''
That bit of information made me involuntary cross my legs… especially considering the prospect of how close I was in receiving the same treatment a few minutes ago. ''... Ouch.''
''... You know I can hear you?'' Griselda remarked with an irritated scowl.
Even though I felt like a child caught with his hand in the cookie jar, Loup Garou only rolled his eyes in dismissal. ''Does it look like I care?''
''If you feel like talking about me at least have the decency to do so to my face.'' A sweet and warm smile formed as she further went on. ''Also I didn't use my hands; I cut them off with my swords, an improvised pair of scissors if you will. No telling where that nasty thing has been after all."
"See what I mean?" he remarked with a straight face.
The shivers that ran down my spine were enough of a giveaway, yep it was official this lady was scary. "Duly noted."
It was official, the first thing I will do when I get back at the hotel is fill the bathtub with water and essential oils and then just soak myself in it. These tunnels were so rancid that I think the smell was starting to seep into my skin.
As it stood, the three of us had been exploring these tunnels for two hours. We had yet to find one of the marked tunnels nor did we meet up with Griselda's team.
To say that I was growing uneasy was a light way to put it. The others were also becoming more visibly concerned as more time passed and no progress was made. ''Are you picking up any scents mister Garou?''
''Hard to say, these tunnels reek so much of rotting flesh and festering sewers that it makes it difficult to tell scents apart.''
The nun brought the sleeve of her robe to her mouth and let out a slight condescending chuckle. ''Oh the irony, the church goes out of its way to hire a tracker and he can't even do his job.''
That remark certainly got under the man's skin.
''It's because I'm a great tracker and my senses are much sharper than a regular human that you guys even found the hidden tunnels that you were looking for in the first place.'' he sneered at Griselda and showed off his sharp teeth. ''And believe me, you don't know what a pain in the ass tracking in this place is. My sense of smell is fifty times sharper than an humans, if you can't stand the smell here imagine what I'm going through.''
The nun wasn't impressed and just rolled her eyes. ''I get it reeks in here, no need to cry over it.''
I knew that they were not friends but damn did they not miss a chance to throw barbs at each other. That being said i couldn't help but comment on it. ''Antagonizing him won't make things better.''
Griselda looked at the gray haired man then shifted her focus back to me, a neutral expression present of her face. ''Even if I were to treat him kindly he would brush it off, he isn't here to make friends only to see that this mission is a success.''
Sadly I couldn't really say she was wrong, I was well aware why he was here and what his end goal was and it wasn't one that made a person awfully friendly. ''... Still, treating him with more respect might help.''
The Catholic nun stared at me with mild curiosity but she quickly brushed it off and instead looked at me like she was scolding a foolish child. ''Respect is something that you earn, it is not given. Until he proves himself I will hold onto it.''
I was about to debate further on this matter with her but stopped as I noticed that Loup Garou stood still in front of a metallic door, a beastly growl escaping his lips when he got closer to it.
''You okay?'' I asked quite confused by his reaction.
When he looked at me I could have sworn that his pupils had changed and were now sharp slits. Not only that but were his teeth also sharper?
''... I smell something utterly foul in there.'' He said in between growls as he looked at Griselda, the nun simply nodding and pulled out her gun from her holster. ''Kid, know how to fight?
That was definitely a red flag if I ever saw one. There was something behind that door… something dangerous. I traced Kanshou and Bakuya and gave the man a small nod. ''I can manage.''
A smile spread across the man's face, a very feral and beastly one, like a hungry predator who caught on the smell of his prey. ''Good, cuz I won't be able to protect your ass for what's about to follow.''
He brought forth his hands and they started to pulsate with power, his nails grew long and sharp.
With a lunge forward he punched the steel door, ripping it out of its hinges and sending it flying several feet away.
When we stepped into the room the stench that invaded my nose was so foul that my eyes were stinging and nearly tearing up. However, all of that was ignored as the sight before me made everything else insignificant. ''What are those things?''
People… Or at least I think they were people once… it would have been more accurate to just call them corpses.
They varied in age, size, and race but they were all still remotely human. In this large room there were hundreds of disfigured and rotting corpses.
There was one issue though.
They were moving around.
With wild eyes that possessed a deranged bloodthirsty glow they were cannibalizing upon human remains, ripping off flesh with their teeth, and scraping bones for any last bit of flesh left. They were more akin to rabid dogs or wild beasts, desperately fighting over the scarce amount of food they had.
''Vampire familiars, the nastiest kind…'' He sneered as they took notice of us and let out an inhuman shriek, all of them soon following suit. ''Ghouls.''
Omake: The temptation (NSFW content, advance at your own risk)
In the deluxe suite that Odin had rented the sound of clothes ruffling around could be heard at this late hour.
There in the living room where his trusted ravens were sitting. They perched calmly on the special support waiting until their master called for them once more.
To their own surprise someone else had sneaked up behind them. They were about to alert their lord but the perpetrator had been too fast and grabbed them by the beaks before they could sound off the alarm.
To their surprise though this wasn't some unknown intruder, it was their master's assistant. Rossweisse, the kind albeit pitiful Valkyrie without a boyfriend.
''Shh!'' she gestured to the crows with worn out look on her face. ''Don't make any noise, we don't want your master to wake up.''
The ravens had known her for a while so they listened to her. Even though they had no reason to do as she said as she wasn't their master. Then again nowadays she was the one that actually fed them as Odin always got side tracked with women, alcohol, and partying whenever he was out of Asgard.
With a determined and honestly rather creepy look in her eyes Rossweisse laid down the request she was here for. ''Show me what you saw this morning in the shower at the hotel.''
Oh so that's what this was about.
Women…
And she calls their master a pervert.
Isn't this a case of the pot calling the kettle black much?
Meh, whatever.
It was quite a delicate and immoral situation for Rossweisse.
She was well aware that what she was doing was pretty much tantamount to voyeurism but after all the crap she'd been through the past 24 hours she felt like she deserved this.
She placed her head against the raven and gazed into its eyes the images it saw replaying like a high definition movie. The angle was a bit weird as it was from a floor view but she digressed, it was the point of view of a bird, it probably couldn't get too close unless it risked of alerting Shirou of its presence, she should just be glad that Shirou rushed in there and didn't close the door properly.
And there he was, naked in all his splendor letting the water from the shower pour down on him. ''Such muscles…''
Burly men were nothing new to her, back home she had seen her fair share of ripped men, but most of them were bulky and large in mass only. Contrary to what some may believe a lot of women didn't fancy super overly muscular men, there was a certain level that once passed in which too much muscles became unattractive.
That and from personal experience most of the large men she knew didn't have much going on in the brains department.
What she was seeing, however, was something different.
There was a certain right balance to his body.
While clothed Shirou's body didn't appear anything special, but underneath his clothes laid perfectly sculpted muscles that you couldn't obtain by just lifting weights. From his arms, shoulders, back, and more everything was well defined.
How did she miss this when she saw him shirtless this morning? Oh right… his abs and pecs.
She was so engrossed in what she was seeing that she didn't even consciously realize the fact her hand was reaching into her panties.
In spite of Shirou standing with his back at the raven's point of view it was still a sight to behold, especially his lower half. ''Wow… I never thought a guy's ass could look so hot!''
The silver haired maiden immediately began feeling hot and bothered. Her mouth filling with saliva as her stroking feverishly increased, panties getting damp from the intense finger play she gave herself. The aroused Valkyrie's breathing quickening as her free hand reached for her blouse and slipped inside it, alternating between groping her large full breast and playing with the erect nipple that struggled against her clothes fabric.
Rossweisse could feel it, she was getting close… all she needed was just one more good push.
''Come on turn around, turn around!'' She kept chanting to herself as the curiosity and excitement was getting the better of her. The horny woman desperately wanted to see Shirou's front as well, to get the full package so to say. Her prayers were answered as Shirou began turning around, her climax approaching as well. ''Yes, yes!''
And then Shirou was completely turned around.
"Eie-eeee-eeeeeeeeeeeheee!"
A loud obnoxious and totally unexpected sound echoed throughout the vision.
''…'' Rossweisse froze at what she saw; the hand in her panties slipped and fell limp to her side, glistening juices dripping from her fingers.
All perverted emotions and sensations simply vanished and were replaced by sheer utter rage.
''WHY IS THERE A CENSOR BAR?!" she shrieked and almost strangled the raven in a fit of sheer frustration. ''AND ARE THOSE CGI DOLPHINS!?''
Not only was there a large black censor bar covering his crotch area, but there were also small CGI dolphins around it… And they were making squealing sounds…
Whatever the fuck was going on here it just completely killed her libido. Someone had to pay for it… very slowly and very painfully.
Rossweisse was too busy with her outrage to hear the noise from her lord's bedroom, for Odin was laughing his ass off at her failed attempt at peeping.
Since his ravens saw and heard everything that took place between Shirou and Rossweisse, he knew every word that was exchanged.
That meant all of the junk his assistant blabbered about him.
As he foresaw, the lass couldn't resist checking out what the ravens had seen. Thus he made damn sure she would feel blue balled the same way he did when he watched Japanese porn. Damn bastards with their mosaics censorships, always ruining his mood. Who did he have to kill for a damn uncensored Hitomi Tanaka movie?
Maybe that brat Azazel created some kind of uncensoring device for porn videos.
Anyway Odin wasn't a man to hold grudges these days but the lass had it coming for all the shit she said.
The All Father of the Norse pantheon was beginning to understand why Loki loved causing mischief. It was honestly way too much fun!
Author notes:
Huh… (Looks when the last update was)
Sigh… you know what, at this stage I'm not even gonna complain, everyone knows my update schedule is total crap… no more words needed.
Anyway hope you all enjoyed this chapter, I know I did especially the scenes with Rossweisse. Speaking of which, poor thing, she finally met a decent guy and that shit happened. Not the best first impression that's for sure.
And with this chapter we introduced the third and final female character of the arc out of the ones that I mentioned a while back and it's the lovely Griselda Quarta.
Let's hope she doesn't turn out a total nympho like Kiara...
Now let's see… Personally I would like to finish the arc next chapter but I can't make any promises. Perhaps I can make it an extra-long chapter to conclude it…
So how many of you guys were bummed by the omake? I know I was. Guess I can call it testing waters to see how NSFW content is received. Might post sex scenes later on… Or maybe not…
Are any of you guys fans of Nier:Automata by any chance? Well here's something you might enjoy, I while ago published a fate/stay night- Nier:automata crossover for a contest, but due to the warm reception it received I'm seriously thinking of keeping it going. So if you are in the mood for the glorious waifu that is 2B interacting with our favorite MC Shirou Emiya you can find it on my page, under the title 'Hearts of true steel'
It should also get updated very soon.
In fgo news is seems like the gatcha gods have taken mercy on me recently. My roster of new servants since last update managed to increase quite nicely: Melt, Suzuka, Beowulf, Wu Zetia, Summer Anne and Mary, Summer Martha, Summer Nero (Np2 in same roll WTF?!), Summer Raikou (Np3 WTF x3?!) Also two new K-scope's (I'm also counting those since their damn good)
Maybe I'm going through the same luck stages as Airiergames did, the dude often tells that in his first year of playing he was barely getting any SR or SSR servants and look at him now, he gets almost every banner.
Speaking of summer servants the JP ones are looking very fine (especially musashi, those tan lines in the final ascension art… Ho boy)… The only thing I have to complain about is that Boudica still hasn't go her summer variation… Feel bad for chaldea's big sis… Still waiting for that avenger boudica… Bet she will be an UMU killer.
Anything else… Nero fest was a total challenge for me, I didn't even bother grinding for medals. All I was focused on was petals, how is it that the most common of the gems are always the ones your short on. Well our favorite tyrant solved my problem for now.
Merlin is upon us… I will roll from him on last login bonus day for extra tickets. Maybe this time he will respond to my summon… maybe I should using some futanari arts as catalysis…
Don't forget to review... no seriously review, I could use some constructive criticism.
