Note from author: yes this takes place in current time. Yes this is based on Stablers return. I absolutely hate the character so I made him this way. Do me a favor and save us alot of time, dont read if you dont want to see Stabler portrayed as a prick. Reviews are lovely as long as they are constructive.

They were a couple, hell they had been one for some time now. Things were going good for a while as they were in the "honeymoon phase" as people call it. Enjoying spending endless time together being all lovey dovey. It was nice and Amanda enjoyed it, finally someone who cared about her and wanted to be with her.

Well things didn't stay that way...

They started growing distant and Amanda couldn't fathom why. She had grown to trust the woman she had begun seeing, and it took a lot for her trust someone like that. She never had been able to trust someone like that before. She had been hurt quite a bit. Things hitting hard when Olivia had been told there was an awards ceremony and she needed to be there. Her sergeant telling her "You never know who may be there." That could mean many things. Of course it wouldn't be the ex-boyfriend Ed Tucker, he had taken his own life not too long ago. He had brain cancer and it just hit him hard and he didn't want to go on like that. It had been very hard for Olivia to handle and Amanda was the one that helped her and was continuing to help her through it. Possibly it could be Chief Dodds since they hadn't seen him in a while.

It had been date night for the ladies. Olivia figured she'd cook for them and they could enjoy a private night with just each other. Amanda wanted to talk about the ceremony, she had been chosen to speak on Olivia's behalf as well since she was part of the unit Olivia is in charge of. Fin as well since he was her number two and her sergeant. Olivia was okay with them speaking as Fin was her number two and Amanda had been made second-grade detective. Two of her best, made her feel comfortable and confident. Amanda took a deep breath and spoke her mind.

"So I was thinking, since I will be giving a speech about you, it's a perfect time for us to come clean and be truthful about our relationship"

Olivia looked at her, her jaw dropped. She wasn't ready disclose their relationship and certainly not on that platform. She bit her lip cause she knew what she was about to say was going to hurt Amanda and she didn't want that.

Amanda looked at Liv, her feelings hurt. She didn't expect her girlfriend to act like that or feel that way. They finished up dinner, remaining quiet for the evening, after Olivia's reaction she didn't really feel comfortable staying the night. She hadn't meant to hurt Olivia, but damn Olivia sure hurt her.

"For what it's worth Olivia, I didn't want to hurt you. I'd speak very highly of you and you know that. But don't worry when I speak I'll keep it basic and general so you're happy."

She left that night and didn't look back...

Few nights later, night before the banquet

She and Olivia were still not on the best of terms nor had they spent any time together outside of work since she made the comment. Amanda felt hurt that Olivia was practically giving her the cold shoulder. So much for a relationship right?

Amanda soon found out why they weren't spending as much time together. It was still unbeknownst to Olivia but Elliot was back in town. Yes thee Elliot that Olivia had been partners with for twelve years. He was getting new position in a new force. Apparently Organized Crime was the new unit. Well Amanda got tired of being avoided and not being able to spend time with her girlfriend. She told Olivia that they spent more time together at work than they did outside of work, and it bothered her greatly. Olivia brushed it off and told her she was sorry it was soo busy right now and she really didn't have the time for anything else other than her job. She acknowledged that Amanda was the caring girlfriend that she wanted and needed and that Amanda herself being a cop as well should be able to understand what was going on and why they weren't together as much. Amanda did understand, more than Olivia knew.

Amanda needed a break, she told Liv that it was fine. Even though it really wasn't to her. It was a cop out in her opinion. She told Olivia she was going out to the bar and have a couple drinks then go home. Olivia did understand and told her to do what she felt she needed to do and to just let her know she got home safe. The only other thing she did make a request of was not to get hammered so she didn't look unprofessional at the ceremony. Amanda told her not to worry, she wouldn't cause the squad any embarrassment.

Amanda went to the bar she always went to. It was local and more or less a country bar like she used to go to back in Georgia. She just needed some drinks and to let loose. She knew she had a girlfriend at home and respected that even though right now it was troubled and she really didn't know why. She thought they were more solid than that, maybe she was wrong. After a few drinks, yes a few she did have a high tolerance and it was gonna take more than a few beers to get her inebriated. A tall gentleman had approached her, nothing she wasn't used to. She'd just tell him she wasn't interested in anything other than small talk. He introduced himself as Elliot. Now she had no idea that this was in fact "Thee Elliot" that she had replaced almost ten years ago. He offered to buy her another drink and to just chit chat with her and she said sure why not. Elliot bought the round of drinks and talked. So of course he once again told her his name and gave her some bullshit story of where he was from and what he did, then out of nowhere he began to get handsy. He put his hand on her back and she shrugged it off. He went to do it again after taking a sip of his drink, she wasn't pleased. "Look Elliot I appreciate the drink and the small talk but Im not looking for that. I am currently with someone." Well Elliot being who he is, didn't take kindly to that. He kept trying to flatter her and she wasn't receptive so she stated her peace once more. "I will thank you for the drink and conversation." She got up to leave and he grabbed her, pushing her against the wall. Elliot being who he was didn't like that. He didn't like the word no, nobody told him to stop or made him stop, after all he did his thing with Dani Beck back in the day, hence why she left.

He caught her by her arm, shoving her against the wall "I just bought you a drink. You at least owe me something." She fought to get out of his grip, but it was tight. He had her pinned against the wall. He grabbed her breast hard and most likely left a mark. He moved in to kiss her and she moved her face still trying to push away from him. "Get off of me. I'll fucking pay for my damn drink you prick. I ain't leaving with you." What Amanda didn't know was a fellow officer was in the bar as well, Erin Lindsey. She hadn't seen her in a while since she had left Chicago and came to New York. Erin didnt like the way this man was getting so grab-assy with Amanda so she stepped up. "Hey what the hell is going on? You're boarding on assault buddy. Let go of her or I will have no problem cuffing your ass and booking you for assault." He gave her a dirty look and she flashed her badge at him. He backed off and called them both a bunch of names. Erin moved quickly to Amanda's side "Hey are you okay? I can bring you to be looked at if you need to." Amanda nodded that she was okay, just her nerves were completely shot. "He didn't do much damage, though my ribs hurt from where he grabbed me, might have a bruise on my breast. I wanna know who he was. He said his name was Elliot." Erin had no clue, but Amanda would find out sooner than she thought.

Amanda went home, she had enough excitement for one night. She text Olivia that she had made it home and said she'd talk to her tomorrow at work before the ceremony. She got undressed and looked at herself. The bruise on her breast wasn't too bad, just tender, but the bruise on her ribs now that was a different story. A big ol handprint there. She shook her head, thinking to herself 'how do I tell my girlfriend what happened, without her thinking I cheated on her?' Amanda went to bed alone and hurt in so many ways. She must have passed out into a deep sleep cause the next time she woke up it was to her alarm going off. She really felt the soreness when she stood up. She got in the shower quickly and got her uniform ready for the night. She saw the bruises on her breast and her ribs. Not pretty and really tender. She didn't know how she'd tell Liv of the occurrance. She got dressed and headed to work.

Precinct

"Olivia, just wanted to give you a heads up. Make sure you check on Detective Rollins. I witnessed her getting roughed up at the bar last night. I was worried about her and offered to take her to get checked out but she said she was fine and was just going home. - Erin"

Olivia got that text just as she saw Amanda sit down at her desk. She let Amanda sit down before she called her into her office. Now at work they were coworkers and she was Amanda's captain. She stepped outside her door "Amanda can I see you privately for a moment please?" Amanda looked at Fin and at Kat, both working on their computers. When they heard her name being called from their captain they thought nothing of it as Amanda was recently promoted to second grade detective. Amanda shook off her nerves, hoping that Olivia wasn't going to rip her ass at work. She walked into her captains office. "Yes Olivia. What did you call me in here for?"

Olivia looked at her, she could tell something wasnt sitting right with her detective but then again Amanda was also very good at masking things too.

"Hey I never really did hear from you. I heard you got home and that was it. Did you get to relax like you wanted?"

Amanda nodded and told her it was a relaxing night out. That she had her drinks and zoned out. She mentioned that it was a necessity after she Olivia had hurt her feelings.

"So did anything happen last night, that I should know about? You've been very quiet with me and that's not like you considering our relationship."

Amanda took a deep breath, biting her lip. "Oh you mean our secret relationship? As for your question I'm fine. Besides it's nothing worth pursuing anyway."

Olivia looked at her, taken back a bit not to mention a bit hurt as well. "What do you mean that it's nothing worth pursuing anyway? Did something happen? Can you please talk to me?"

Amanda just looked at her, "It's exactly that, nothing worth pursuing besides that I handled it and went home. Who said something? I bet it was Erin cause she saw me at the bar. Nothing happened that you need to be concerned about. Are we done? Cause I have to finish my speech for tonight. Then get home to get ready for the ceremony tonight."

Olivia looked at Amanda, "Amanda you and I are in a relationship, just because we are at work doesnt mean that I don't care. Yeah we haven't told anyone our status here because for one I am your superior and right now I dont want you transferred to another precinct and for two it's not professional to bring it up here and definitly not at the ceremony tonight. I know that bothers you but seriously I cant risk losing you a seasoned detective nor can I risk myself facing ramifications for carrying on with my detective."

Amanda took a deep breath, "Thanks for letting me know where I stand. As for the speech tonight, don't worry it will be of the upmost respect to you and the precinct. But are we done here? I don't want to be late to this ceremony and have my ass on a platter."

Olivia didnt know what else to say so she let Amanda leave. She was worried about her and their relationship that was still new to her. She couldn't understand why Amanda didn't see where she was coming from and why she wanted to keep it just between them for now. Hopefully they could get together and talk afterwards. She too had to get going so she herself could get ready for the ceremony. Fin's words rang in her ears "you never know who may show up." She sure didn't want drama, the first name that came to her mind with drama was Brian Cassidy.

Olivia left shortly after Amanda. The rest followed suit once their coverage arrived. Fin hoping that this wasn't gonna take all damn night. He hated shit like this, but he'd do it for Liv, they had worked together for a long time. He had witnessed her move up through the ranks from detective to sergeant, to where she was now which was captain. Oh if Cragen could see her, he would be soo proud.

Ceremony

The ceremony was being held at Hilton Garden Inn, located in midtown Manhattan East. Amanda hadn't felt like driving there, she was just in a shitty mood the way things had turned with her and Olivia and she was also nervous as fuck to read what she had written for her speech. She kept rereading it just to make sure, it was just a basic speech saying how she was grateful to be working under a great captain that knew how to lead her crew. She hated being dressed up, but she wore a basic black dress and heels. Enough to make Liv pay attention to her.

Since Olivia was up on the stage, she sat next to her sergeant and friend Fin, and new detective to the squad Kat Tamin. Her other close friend Sonny Carisi was sitting with them as well. They hadn't been as close for a while ever since he went to the D.A.'s office. Fin knowing she was nervous kept patting her leg and telling her she would be fine.

After a few more had gone up and spoke now it was her turn. She stood up to go to the podium on the stage. Once she was at the podium, she took a couple deep breaths. She saw the woman who she had been chosen to speak about and honor. She was nervous as shit to fuck this up, but hopefully wouldn't. She made eye contact with the woman who she adored and was in a relationship with. She fiddled with the bottom of her dress for a few seconds to ground her as well.

"I was chosen to speak about Captain Olivia Benson, this woman has made so many strides in this job. She does her very best with the victims and even their families to help bring them justice and she does this all without revictimizing. Who doesn't admire that? This woman has so much heart and soul invested in this. She really wants the victims to feel safe in their surroundings and even when they testify when it goes to court. Previous captain, Captain Don Cragen would be so proud seeing how his protege worked up the ladder and is now the captain of our squad. This woman, has risen above the standards of this being a male dominated profession. She has proved them wrong time and again and keeps coming out on top being vigilant for justice. Hell she's given me chances each time I have screwed up, she sees the best in people, she sees the best in the victims she advocates for..."

Just then Amanda looked into the crowd and saw him. She froze, she couldn't speak or move. Her legs felt like lead, her mouth felt dry, it felt like sandpaper had scratched her cheeks and clogged her throat. Her eyes locked on him. She wondered how the hell he found her. She left the bar, hadn't given him her phone number or any information like that. Olivia saw Amanda freeze up, she had never in all her time working with the blonde detective witness her like this. She stood up, and walked over to Amanda, Amanda didn't budge. Olivia was now trying to decide quickly what to do, she needed to get her colleague off the stage. She started to get Amanda to move, very slow and jagged movements as she started coming back to reality.

"He's here." Her voice warbled like she was choking, "He's right there." Olivia began to ask who when he walked over to Olivia.

"Olivia Benson, long time no see." That did it, that voice Amanda heard it, she went ghost pale. Backing away from Olivia. Just as Fin and Erin walked over to see what was going on and if Amanda was okay.

Olivia had turned around and was standing face to face with her old partner, her old partner of twelve years that had just abandoned her like she was nothing. Turned his papers in without saying anything to her and who ignored her phone calls.

"Elliot Stabler, you son of a bitch. Really you come back now? After all this time? And you bust out with Olivia Benson, long time no see."

Amanda had backed away from Olivia, infact she had backed into Erin and Fin as well. Fin cocking his head as he didn't know what was going on. He put his arm around his friend and Erin put her hand on Amanda's shoulder. It took a few seconds before Amanda could speak, when she did finally speak her voice was full of venom

"It was you the other night. You were the one at the bar."

He looked at her, his smile smug, "I have no idea what you're talking about. I just got in town for this gala. What are you talking about 'it was me?'"

Erin looked at the man and recognized the fact that she had threatened him when he had his hands on Rollins. Olivia looked at Amanda and then at Elliot and then to Amanda again. Olivia asked "What the hell is going on? Amanda you told me nothing happened when I asked you."

Amanda sneered "It's none of your business. Go have fun with your precious Elliot here. Oh might I add he likes to get handsy and think ladies owe him after drinks." Olivia still couldn't figure out what the hell was going on. Here was her friend and her ex partner of twelve years that she hadn't seen in ten, he would never do this to a woman he was a cop. But then here was her seasoned detective whom she trusted dearly and cared a lot about saying he did something.

Elliot turned on his charm with Olivia and he knew he still could "Come on Liv, you think I would do this? I would never, you know me. I'm a family man, I would kill a man who dared touch a woman that way."

Olivia shook her head, confused as to what to believe. Again here was her old friend and old partner who she had trusted with everything but with that being said he did up and leave her ten years ago without even a word. On the other hand this was her friend and a woman she was in a relationship with even though they hadn't come out publicly yet.

"Look both of you, I have no clue what the hell is going on. All I know is Amanda here was in a middle of a speech and lost her shit cause she saw you in the audience El. That says something. One thing I do know, this isn't the place to be talking about this. How bout we take this somewhere private?"

Amanda sneered, "I know where we can, we can bring him to the precinct. Put his ass in interrogation or better yet behind bars." Olivia shot a look at Amanda "Amanda"

Amanda shook her head, "Oh I get it now loud and clear Liv. This is the poster boy, the beloved Elliot Stabler. It's fine. I'll go and let you talk to him."

Amanda didn't give Olivia any time to react, she just walked off. She couldn't take this shit. Finally she saw with her own eyes what Fin had warned her about with Elliot, the loyalty. The loyalty he threw aside and now decided he was going to come back for.

"Amanda wait..."

Elliot looked at Liv, "Hey let her go. We haven't seen each other in years. Let's catch up" Olivia looked at him. He was right, they needed to catch up and she wanted to know why his ass upped and left. He at least owed her that. Just as she was going to take off with him Erin pulled her aside.

"Olivia... Thats the guy I grabbed the other night off Rollins. That's what I text you about the other day. She's afraid she isnt going to be believed. She didnt know it was thee Elliot Stabler Olivia. He had told her his name was Elliot. He assaulted her, whether you believe me or not. It's not my story to tell, but you need to talk to Rollins, she trusts you."

Finding Amanda and hearing her out

Amanda had turned off her phone, knowing that it would make it damn near impossible for Olivia to find her. Olivia called around to every bar in the closest proximity. Elliot desperately trying to get Olivia's attention. She wanted to know what was up with the woman she was seeing, especially for her to act this way. She had been told by Erin something happened between Amanda and Elliot but at the same time she didn't know what to believe. That wasn't the man she knew, the man she worked with for twelve years. The man whose wife she had helped deliver their youngest child. He had been her rock, her world for so many years. But here was the person she was seeing, the person she had deep feelings for telling her in not so many words that her beloved partner had violated her.

Amanda had been at the bar, drinking, practically drinking herself into oblivion. Like her whole world had just crashed down. When the bar decided to cut her off, she called an uber to come get her and bring her home. She really wanted to go to Liv's but she told him to take her home. She was drunk and wanted to sleep. Little did she know what was going to be awaiting her at her apartment.

She paid the uber and got out, walking up the stairs that ascended to her apartment, she felt the nausea coming on. It took her a few tries to put the key in the door. When she got in finally Olivia was sitting on her couch. Right away she started with the questions. "What is going on Amanda? Why the reaction to Elliot like that? Can you just talk to me?" Amanda blinked hard twice to focus on her girlfriend, she was so drunk. She sneered as she talked "Your precious Elliot was the guy who assaulted me the other night. Yes it was him. I recognized his voice. He grabbed my breast and my ribs. He bought me a drink and expected me to thank him with sex. I told him I wasn't interested and that I had a partner. He didn't like that so he grabbed me. Erin saw what was going on and put a stop to it. So there that's what happened."

Olivia looked at Amanda, partly in disbelief, not that she didn't believe Amanda cause she did. But what she couldn't believe was the fact that it was Elliot who did it to her. Elliot Stabler, the man who protected her for twelve years, who had been her confidant for twelve years. The partner that she was so close to that it almost cost her everything and at that time 'everything' was her job. "What I'm asking is why didn't you say anything? You say you trust me. You're in a relationship with me. How come you didn't tell me?" Liv kept her voice calm and even toned.

Amanda sat on her couch, holding a pillow. She looked at Liv, "I didn't say anything cause of the same reasons I didn't say anything in Georgia." Olivia looked at her with soft eyes. "But it's different here Amanda. You have me and the squad who would support you." Amanda looked at her "It was your precious Elliot, Liv. You wouldn't believe me, just like you questioned it before." Olivia got up from her spot and went to where Amanda was sitting, "Honey, I would have believed you. You say El assaulted you then he assaulted you. I'm not gonna second guess you." Amanda looked at her. Her guard went up for some reason. She didn't understand why "Hey ain't noone believed me when I came forth about Patton when I first reported so, Im leary as shit. I dont trust and I'm scared. I've gotten close to you granted but I'm still scared Liv."

Olivia looked at the blonde who was timid, "Are you scared that you've gotten closer to me since we are dating? Or are you just scared of me in general? Amanda I'd never betray you or your trust." Amanda looked at Liv, "I don't want to lose you Liv. I know how you feel about Elliot and I don't want to risk losing you cause of him."

Amanda just sat there silently. She didn't know how to answer Olivia's question but at the same time she did and was just scared on how she'd react. Olivia got closer to Amanda and pulled her into her arms, giving her a huge supportive hug. "Look no matter what, Amanda I'm here. And yes I will do something about Elliot. While I know him yes, I worked with him yes, I respect him yes. But with that being said I dont take assault accusations lightly. If I did then I'm not in the right occupation. So we will do this just like every other person who has made the accusation. We take a statement and investigate. We do it the proper way so he cant get away with anything."

Like I stated up top, I am not a fan of Elliot and I made him the asshole I did. I dont know if I will make another part to this. But hope yall like. Constructive criticism is welcome...
