"ACHOO!"

Lilith was really beginning to regret her decision. She was homeless, sick, starving, and it hasn't stopped raining in the three days she's been here. She was laying on the cold ground at a bus stop, the only thing keeping her fairly dry was the large amount of trees over it. She felt her vision get heavy as she held her bag closer to her. Her vision became dark.

"Why did you do it?"

Lilith looked around.

"Who said that?" Lilith asked.

Lilith turned around and saw Eda, with her back facing her.

"Edalyn?"

Eda turned around and showed Lilith her face, half way turned into the Owl Beast.

"Why would you curse me?" Eda asked, "Was I really that horrible of a sister?"

"N-n-no, Edalyn, you're a great sister."

"Then why would you do this to me!? Why Lilith, why!?"

"I didn't mean too! It was an accident!" Lilith said.

"And you just run away instead of facing a punishment!?"

Lilith felt something grab her by the legs. She looked down and saw what looked like tendrils wrapped around her legs. She screamed as felt herself get pulled down into the dark emptiness.

"No! Get off of me!"

She looked to Eda for help, only to see a statue of an Owl Beast. On the statues base, there was a plaque that said, "There is no room for monsters in this world".

"No! Edalyn!" Lilith was pulled deeper into the darkness, "I'm sorry! I didn't mean it!"

The tendrils wrapped around her mouth, muffling her screams and making it hard to breath. Lilith woke up and screamed. She started to breath heavily and held her head.

"I'm sorry, Edalyn. I'm so, so, sorry."

Lilith looked around and quickly realized something... she was in a house. Not just a house, but a bedroom. Lilith got up and started to panic.

"Where am I? How did I get here?"

Lilith heard a door open and turned around to see a woman, looking to be about thirty seven. She was carrying a tray with a few items on it.

"You're awake." She said.

She takes the tray and places it on the desk and looked at Lilith. Lilith put her finger up out of instinct.

"W-w-who are you?" Lilith asked, "W-w-where am I?"

The woman carefully walked up to Lilith and kneeled down.

"It's okay, I'm not going to hurt you." She said, "My name is Linda. You are in my house. What's your name? Do you know what year it is?"

Lilith noticed a calendar.

"M-m-my name is... Lilith Clawthorne. It is... 1988."

Linda put a hand on Lilith's head and left it there for a while.

"You still have a fever, shouldn't be surprised though, it looked like you were out in the rain for a long time." Linda said, "I want you to eat the soup I made you, then get back to bed."

"I... achoo!" Lilith said.

Linda led Lilith back into the bed, which was massive to Lilith, she never slept in a queen bed before.

"Why are you being nice to me?"

"Because you're just a kid. You can't be any older than seventeen."

"Sixteen." Lilith said quietly.

Linda just smiled at Lilith.

"Just eat and rest, honey." Linda said, putting the tray next to Lilith, "My husband will be home soon, he was very worried about you."
