Lilith doesn't know when she fell asleep, but she does know that the sun was setting and the rain stopped, when she woke up. She looked at the nightstand next to her and saw a cup of water. Lilith grabbed it and drank it quickly, remembering how dehydrated she was. Lilith put the glass down and laid back down. She doesn't understand how she can sleep almost a whole day and still be tired. She froze when she felt something soft and fluffy. She, being in a world full of demons, knew how things can seem fluffy, only to turn out to be a soul eating demon. Lilith looked over and saw a small kitten. The small kitten couldn't have been any older than three weeks.

"Hello, little one." Lilith said, "Where did you come from?"

The kitten woke up and yawned. It climbed onto Lilith's shoulder, causing the witch to laugh.

"You're a cute little thing."

Lilith noticed a chair with her bag in it, she didn't even remember it earlier. She practically felt her heart drop when she saw it. She walked over to it, the kitten still on her shoulder, and looked through it. When she saw that nothing was missing, she felt relieved.

"Lilith, are you awake?" Linda asked.

"Y-y-yeah."

Linda came in and started laughing.

"I see you met Percy." She said, "Poor thing was the runt of the litter, abandoned by his mother. Thankfully we found him last week and he's doing good. We were coming back from the vet when we found you."

"He... really likes me." Lilith said as Percy rubbed his head against Lilith's cheek, "So... thank you... for helping me."

"Honey, you are just a child, how could we allow someone to just lay on the ground and, possibly, die?" Linda asked, "Now, I'm going to get my husband and let you two talk."

Linda left and Lilith looked around. She found a picture of a young man, holding an M-16, in a uniform. On it, was a small amount of writing. It said, Private Robert Jefferson. Vietnam 1970.

"That was me after joining the war." A man said.

Lilith turned and looked at a person that looked about thirty nine.

"I was about twenty one at the time. Ended as a First Sergeant by the time I was out of the Army." He said, "The name's Robert, nice to meet you."

He held out his hand and Lilith shook it.

"I-I-It's nice to meet you. I-I-I'm... I'm Lilith."

"I'm glad to see that you're up, Lilith, we were really worried about you." He said, "I was wondering if you would like to come downstairs and have dinner with us."

"S-s-sure."
