Erin and Leatherface continued to walk, and Erin continued to think about what Leatherface has gone through in his life. She honestly wondered if she could truly help Leatherface or if he was just a lost cause due to all the trauma in his life. The two kept walking until they suddenly reached a lake.
Leatherface wrote down, "Want to go to in lake."
"Well, okay, that's fine with me." said Erin.
Leatherface then walked towards the edge of the lake, sat down on the ground, and put his feet into the water. Once he knew the temperature was good, he went completely in the lake, with only his head over water.
"You like the water?" asked Erin.
Leatherface swam towards the edge of the lake, grabbed his sheet of paper, and wrote down, "Water warm. Water is good."
"Well, that's good. Dipping in a cold lake is the worst feeling ever." said Erin.
Leatherface then wrote down, "I need to pee."
"Umm. I mean…you can go in the lake. It's not like anyone's going to know you did it. They have no evidence. But if you want to, you can just use a tree." said Erin.
Leatherface got out of the lake and quickly found a tree he liked and pissed on it. Erin was a little surprised by what Leatherface did. Most people would've just pissed in the water because it would have been convenient. But Leatherface went the extra mile and got out of the water and found a somewhat-proper place to do his business.
"I guess Leatherface wants to prove to himself that he's not a monster. That he's not an animal." Erin thought to herself.
Once he was done, he went back into the lake and swam around for a bit. After at least 30 minutes of swimming, he got out of the lake and sat down on the ground again with his legs stretched out. Erin sat down right beside him, and she did her best to comfort him.
"Did you have a good swim?" asked Erin.
Leatherface wrote down, "Yes. It was peaceful."
"Good. Now, this is kind of a bad time to ask this but…do you have any other family who could help you?" asked Erin.
Leatherface wrote down, "No. Only family I had is dead."
"Yikes. Bad question." Erin thought to herself.
"Well, what do you want to do for the future?" asked Erin.
Leatherface looked like he was deep in thought for a good 20 seconds, until he wrote down, "Stay in house. Clean it up. Live alone."
"Okay, I think we can do that. Cleaning the house is going to rough considering all the dead bodies in there but it can be done. So, let's go back and do it." said Erin.
Erin and Leatherface got off the ground and walked back to the Hewitt house, hoping to clean it so Leatherface could properly live in it.
Hope you enjoyed the chapter. It's a little short but I thought it turned out alright. The next chapter (aka the final chapter) will consist of Erin and Leatherface cleaning up the Hewitt house and Erin saying goodbye to Leatherface. Also, I'm working on a ton of stories right now (one-shots, old stories, and new stories), so expect consistent updates for a good while. Other than that, I hope you all have a wonderful day. Bye for now and stay safe.
