A few months later, Lilith put her books in her locker and closed it. She has been in school for a few months, thanks to her dad's military friends having connections, she was able to get all the paperwork she needed, and she was an official citizen of the United States.

"Now if only I could pass my drivers exam." Lilith said, "Cars are still really confusing."

She had her learner's permit, but she just couldn't figure out certain parts of the car... like how to start it. Her attention was taken out of the confusing device known as a car, when the loudspeaker turned on.

"May Lilith Jefferson please report to the Principal's Office."

Lilith froze. What did she do? She's only been going to the school for three months, there was no way she could have done something wrong in that time, right? Lilith walked to the Principal's Office, a knot forming in her stomach, what if they found out she doesn't actually have any documentation before she became a citizen? Lilith entered the office and saw the principal waiting for her.

"Miss Jefferson, I would like to have a word with you."

Later, when Lilith entered the house, she found her mom working on dinner.

"Hello, Honey, how was school?"

"It was... I have to show you something."

Lilith handed a folder to her mom, who takes it and opens it. She looked over it for a minute, her expression very hard to read. She put it down and looked at Lilith.

"Is this real?"

Lilith nodded. Linda smiled and hugged Lilith, laughing happily.

"My baby is a genius!" Linda said.

Lilith handed her mom her report card, which showed that she has the highest grades in the school's history, mainly in science and chemistry. Lilith was a natural, it was like her old Potion Classes. Lilith smiled and hugged her mom back.

"Mom... I want to be a scientist." Lilith said, "Maybe I found the portal for a reason, so I could come here and help humanity."

Linda broke the hug and placed a hand on Lilith's cheek.

"I think that's a wonderful idea." Linda said, "Now, go do your homework, my little scientist."

Lilith was about to go upstairs, when the phone rang. She went over and picked it up.

"Hello?" Lilith asked.

"Hey, Lilith." Camila said, "I was wondering if you... would like to hang out... this Friday."

"Oh... uh... s-s-sure."

Lilith hung up the phone and went upstairs to her room.

I can't guarantee there will be a chapter tomorrow, I have a lot of work to do before Saturday. Thankfully, I have Zookeeper and The Vigilante completed, so there will still be updates for them. Follow, Favorite, and Review for more.
