Padme finally managed to silence her sobbing some, when there was a knock at her door.

"Who is it?" Padme asked.

"Mrs. Fett, Dear." said Zam on the other side.

Padme went to open the door and gasped when a teapot and teacup came into the room on a tray held by a suit of armor.

"We thought you might like a spot of tea before dinner." Zam said.

"But- but you're a-" Padme gasped again as she backed into a dresser.

"Be careful there, Miss." said the dresser, whose name was Luminara.

Padme was shocked by all of this.

"Caroline," called Padme into the hall. "Are you seeing talking furniture in your room?"

"Funny, I was about to ask you the same thing." Caroline called from her room.

Padme thought she had to be dreaming.

"What did I ingest that's making me see all this?"

"You're not dreaming, Madame." said Jango, the helmet on his armor showing no one was wearing the suit, which only freaked Padme out more.

"Oh, don't be frightened." Zam said. "My husband is a guard here. He wouldn't hurt a fly."

"Unless it was a threat."

"Told you she was pretty, huh, Mommy?" said Boba.

Zam poured some tea into Boba, and Jango added a little sugar.

"Thank you." Padme said, taking a sip of tea.

"Wanna see me do a trick?" said Boba, and he made bubbles in the tea.

"Boba!" Zam scolded, amid Jango laughing.

"Sorry." Boba giggled.

Padme couldn't help giggling at how cute the little one was.

"That was a very brave thing you and your friend did, Dear." Zam said.

"We all think so." Luminara said.

"But my parents, I don't know if I'll see them again." Padme said, sounding sad again.

"Oh, cheer up, Dear." Zam said. "It will all turn out fine in the end. Oh, listen to me, jabbering while supper needs to be prepared. Jango, if you would."

"Ta-ta, madame." Jango bid farewell.

Padme was now alone with Luminara.

"Now, what shall we dress you in for dinner?" Luminara opened her doors, and pulled out a lovely blue dress for Padme. "You'll look stunning in this one."

"That's very kind of you, but... I'm not sure I'm going to dinner." said Padme.

"Oh, I must insist you do." Luminara said. "I assure you, Prince Anakin looks intimidating now, but he is a very kind and gentle soul."

That is when Mace entered the room.

"Dinner is served." said the clock.

Padme looked at Luminara and was silent for a bit.

"Give me the dress."

Anakin paced back and forth, as did Carmine.

"What's taking so long?" said Anakin.

"Anakin, do be patient." said Zam. "The girl misses her family and is in a whole new territory unfamiliar to her."

"Have you considered that either girl could be the one to break the spell?" said Obi-Wan.

"They're right, Anakin." said Carmine, putting together a bouquet of daisies. "You might've been the one to pick the rose, but the beastly spell was placed on all three of us. So, at least one of us has to find true love, and with two girls, there's twice the chance. You think Caroline likes daisies?"

"Maybe I should've gotten flowers." Anakin thought out loud. "Where is Kara?"

"Right here, Ani." said a new figure entering the room.

This one was a humanoid female figure. Well, the top half of a girl anyway, the bottom half of her being a long tail of a snake, and her skin was green and scaly like that of a snake, and her face resembled that of one too, aside from her blue eyes with gold stripes, and the brown hair on her head. And every time she spoke, she hissed, especially when she said any word with an 'S' sound.

"Are you certain one of these girls is the one to break the spell?" Kara asked.

"I am." Anakin said. "Padme didn't run away the second she saw me or Carmine like everyone else did."

"Did you warn her about the West wing? The next full moon will be coming out soon."

"We did. And we stressed it pretty hard." Carmine said. "But it'll be easy. One of us falls in love with one of the girls, they fall in love with one of us princes, and poof! The spell is broken. We'll be human again by midnight."

"I'm afraid it's not that simple, Carmine." said Obi-Wan. "These things take time. Still, the rose has already begun to wilt. But, if all goes well, both of our princes could fall in love soon. Two girls do bring twice the chance of a broken spell."

"Or twice the chance of failure again." Anakin said.

"Well, I've got my eye set on Caroline. All I gotta do is get her to fall in love with me." Carmine smiled before he unleashed a big sneeze, and his daisy bouquet was nothing but a bunch of empty stems. "Oh, great!"

For what seemed like the first time, Anakin actually laughed. So did Carmine and the others.

"That's the first time I've heard you laugh in years." Kara laughed.

"We're here." Padme said.

Padme arrived in the lovely blue gown Luminara picked out for her, her hair tried in a nice side braid and a beautiful blue flower in her hair. Caroline also arrived in a purple dress, keeping her hair up in a bun.

"You look lovely," said Anakin, taking Padme's hand gently. "Please take a seat."

"Caroline..." Carmine took Caroline's hand and licked it, to Caroline's disgust.

Part of his end of the curse, now all Carmine's kisses were licks.

"I had flowers for you," smiled Carmine awkwardly. "But I sneezed them all gone."

"Hmm. I could guess by all the petals in your mane." Caroline said.

Carmine dusted the petals from his mane.

"They're lovelier than I imagined." Kara said.

Caroline screamed when she saw Kara, and would've fallen to the floor, had Carmine not caught her in his arms.

"What is that?!" Caroline said.

"Calm down," said Carmine. "That's Kara. Our big sister."

"Are there any other siblings of yours we should know about?" Padme asked Anakin.

Anakin shook his head. "Just us three. Shall we begin dinner?"

Obi-Wan jumped up onto the table and cleared his throat.

"Ladies and gentlemen, lovely guests, it is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure that we welcome you tonight. And now we invite you to relax, let us pull up a chair as the dining room proudly presents: your dinner!"

Obi-Wan: Be our guest

Be our guest
Put our service to the test
Tie your napkin 'round your neck, cherie
And we provide the rest

Living dishes and silverware hopped onto the table as dinner was served.

Soup du jour
Hot hors d'oeuvres
Why, we only live to serve
Try the grey stuff, it's delicious
Don't believe me? Ask the dishes
They can sing
They can dance
Don't be scared, give them a chance
And a dinner here is never second best
Go on, unfold your menu
Take a glance and then you'll
Be our guest
Oui, our guest
Be our guest

All kinds of wonderful looking dishes were brought out in a beautiful musical number that impressed Padme and Caroline.

Beef ragout
Cheese souffle
Pie and pudding "en flambe"
We'll prepare and serve with flair
A culinary cabaret
You're alone
And you're scared
But the banquet's all prepared
No one's gloomy or complaining
While the flatware's entertaining

Obi-Wan got in on the singing, dancing and doing tricks too.

We tell jokes
I do tricks
With my fellow candlesticks

Dishes: And it's all in perfect taste that you can bet

Obi-Wan: Come on and lift your glass
You've won your own free pass
To be out guest
If you're stressed
It's fine dining we suggest
Be our guest
Be our guest
Be our guest

A spotlight shone on the candelabra as he lamented the days before they were cursed, and how they had no one but each other in the castle for years and years.

Life is so unnerving
For a servant who's not serving
He's not whole without a soul to wait upon
Ah, those good old days when we were useful
Suddenly those good old days are gone
Ten years we've been rusting
Needing so much more than dusting
Needing exercise, a chance to use our skills
Most days we just lay around the castle
Flabby, fat and lazy
You walked in and oops-a-daisy!

Zam: We have guests
We have guests
Sakes alive, well I'll be blessed
Wine's been poured and thank the Lord
I've had the napkins freshly pressed
With dessert
They'll want tea
And my dears that's fine with me
While the cups do their soft shoeing
I'll be bubbling, I'll be brewing
I'll get warm
Piping hot
Heaven's sakes! Is that a spot?
Clean it up! We want the company impressed
We've got a lot to do

Zam poured tea for everyone
Is it one lump or two
For you, our guest
They're our guests
They're our guests
They're our guests

Servants: Be our guest
Be our guest
Our command is your request
It's ten years since we had anybody here
And we're obsessed
With your meal
With your ease
Yes, indeed, we aim to please
While the candlelight's still glowing
Let us help you
We'll keep going
Course by course
One by one
'Til you shout, enough, I'm done
Then we'll sing you off to sleep as you digest
Tonight you'll prop your feet up
But for now, let's eat up
Be our guest
Be our guest
Be our guest
Please, be our guest

Everyone clapped as the musical number ended.

"This is all so wonderful." Padme smiled.

Anakin was thrilled inside to see that Padme was having a great night so far.

"I had no idea you were all so talented." Caroline smiled.

"Thank you, ladies." Mace said, dismissing the servants. "Good job tonight, everyone. Oh, would you look at the time. I'm sure you must be ready to turn in for the night."

"Oh, I couldn't possibly go to bed now." Padme said. "It's my first time in an enchanted castle."

"Oh, enchanted?" Mace seemed nervous. "Who said anything about enchanted?"

Padme smirked and Obi-Wan and Mace started to fight each other a bit.

"I figured it out on my own."

"I'm no Einstein," said Caroline. "but I'm pretty sure candlesticks don't tend to talk or move on their own unless they're enchanted."

Anakin looked down and said, "You are right. It is enchanted, but not in the way you might believe."

"Well, I'd love to look around." Padme said, standing up.

"Would you like a tour?" Obi-Wan offered.

"Obi-Wan, that might not be the best idea tonight." Mace said, then he whispered something to the candelabra.

Obi-Wan immediately looked panicked. "Already?!" Mace nodded. Obi-Wan then looked at Anakin. "We best get you to the West Wing now!"

"Why are you-?" Caroline began.

"No time to explain!" Carmine exclaimed. "Hurry, Anakin! Hurry!"

Anakin began running as fast as he could to get to the West Wing.

"That was odd." Padme said.

"Come, girls." Jango said. "I will escort you to your rooms."

Padme and Caroline followed Jango into the hall to their rooms, when they heard a lot of noises coming from the West side of the castle. There were sounds of growling, screaming, chains rattling, and voices shouting "Anakin!" and "Down!" And Anakin shouting, "Hurry before it happens again! Don't forget last time!"

"Last time?" Padme said, confused.

Padme began to follow the sound, but Jango got in front of her.

"What's back there?" Padme asked.

"Nothing. Nothing of interest, my lady." Jango lied.

Then there was noise again.

"That doesn't sound like nothing." Padme said.

"The West Wing is off limits!"

"Ah, so that's the West Wing. What could be happening to make such a racket?"

"Maybe they're just play fighting." Caroline shrugged. "Boys do that sometimes."

"With real chains and shouting in a panic?" Padme had her hands on her hips. "If there was nothing there, it wouldn't be forbidden."

"Perhaps a tour of the other side of the castle, Madame?" Jango suggested, still blocking Padme.

"Is that Boba over there?" Padme pointed in another direction.

And when Jango was looking the other way, Padme ran around him and rushed into the West Wing.
