Blake pow:

- So, what do we know? - I asked Volt, walking into small room in newly formed KKBC (Acronym for Kuo Kuana's Bakugan City, as Maken prefered to call such places.).

- A bit actually. - He replied, taking a seat near the table, from which it was easy to look past properley secure window to small interrogation cell where Ilia was holded in since last night, tied with three thick ropes to her chair. Both rooms in he building were rather similar. Both with a small table and three chairs, one for interrogated person and two for people who were giving questions, just like in most places to this type of tasks.

- So, can you tell me? - I asked him, taking a seat at his side, also looking at Ilia from taken place.

- Tell everything or just parts that I know you don't know? - He asked me in respone, making doubtful look.

- Fine. Tell what I don't know. - I answered, annoyed a bit at formalities.

- In that case all I can tell you is that she was spying on you because Adam wanted to kill your family as means of personal vendetta, and he's more than ready to use White Fang to do so. - Volt calmly said, at which I widen my eyes in realisation.

- You know what it means, right? - I asked him rethorical at this point question.

- Yes, it means your dreams of staying away from White Fang are unachivable, whenever you want it or not. - He replied, confirming my worries.

- What now then? - I asked him, not expecting any response.

- Simple. - Lync cut right into our conversation, coming from the outside. - Look at this. - He showed us his scroll at which the news article said: Enlisting for Kuo Kuana bakugan tournament open today at 12:00.

- That's ending in three hours! - Shouted Volt in suprise.

- Yes it is. - Lunc replied, making a dumb smile. - Maken and. Ghira managed to conclude yesterday that it should begin as soon as possible, because White Fang also increased his speed of blowing everything up in order to be in charge of events.

- In that case, we better go to meet Maken, he sure has something to tell us. - I said in conclusion as we went out of the room, locking it with mix of traditional and technologically advanced locking methods.

(Timeskip, ten minutes later.)

- Oh boy, this CCT Tower sure looks decent in this place. - I heard Maken mumbling to himslef as we found him near recently finished communication center with Chan Lee and Emerald.

- Can we talk a bit? Some of us are not fulky acknowledged with your plans right now. - Said Lync to him, directing his fingers at me and Volt as called out teenager turned around.

- Oh right! Sorry for a holdup. - Maken quickly acted up, realising his mistake. - Yesterday I was talking to Ghira before you came in Blake, we originally decided that tournament will begin in two weeks. Hovewer, after the incident with Ilia I called him again and we conclude that the tournament shall begin right now so White Fang don't get time to overrun us. - He clarified his plan, earning Volt's nod in aproval. - Also, in order to keep a balance between fighters I decided that some of us could prticipate as practical hosts. - He added right away, making me curious.

- By some of us you mean who? - I asked, frowning my eyes.

- Chan Lee gave me statement that she's participating. - Maken said.

- And I already told the same. - Added Emerald, making a wink with her left eye to me. - And I'm sure you and Lync can join since Maken wants a base power level cap on this one to be 400g. - She added, making mentioned brawler and me gulp in suprise.

- Hell Yes I'm in! I just cleared some Grimm and have top form! - Shouted Lync, leaving no doubts about his participation.

- Please Blake, please join in. - Said to me Ravenoid from side. - You don't even know how much you can help yourself if you stay away from main danger source. - He added, turning towards Volt, which forced me to turn around in order to keep eye contact.

- The security of your family was already filtered by your parents. But hey, it's not like you notice how half of your security guard was replaced in last days. - Said Volt, looking on me with serious eyes. - And if White Fang attack your home, Maken, me and Sebastian aren't participating in tournament, so at least one of us will come there and help, since Maken has teleportation ability. - He said, turning his head to Maken.

- Besides, your parents will be at very least for a while here at tournament, they at least will be at opening and the end since they directly said so to me. - Maken added to me, at which I did a rapid turn to him, almost feeling over while doing so.

- Ugh! - I almost cursed, taking my body balance back. - You know what? I will join the tournament. Having my family closer to this place is safer option for them. - I finally maked up my mind, earning cherrish faces from other team members in this place.

Sebastian pow:

- Welp, here goes more paperwork. - I said to myself, standing on one of higher floors of CCT tower, busy with observation of the list that contained all brawlers registered for the tournament on my scroll, which by this point has just rise up above 200 players. All hungry for either challange, success of fun.

- Are we done yet? - Asked me Fall Hydranoid from the balustrade that protected people from falling by glass windows.

- Three, two, one... We're done! - I triumphally shouted, clicking the button responsinle for end of registration. - 256 players in first ever official tournament are completed. - I said with triumph, looking around the room.

- Shouldn't we join the rest of the group? - Asked my partner, jumping on my right shoulder.

- Yeah, we totally should. - I said, turning around and walking up to the elevator.

(Timeskip, one and half hour later)

Narrator pow:

- Hmm... Let's see who get's who... - Maken said with focused voice as he was watching giant screen on one biggest board placed in the middle of KKBC alongside his crew (And I do mean this screen was big. I'm talking about garage-sized screen but in 2D, I'm not even joking.).

- Let me guess, Volt how programmed it? - Asked Lync, taking a sip from his water bottle.

- Not quite. - Said Volt, lowering his voice. - I did write the scripts and did security measures, but other than that local people did most of the job. - He continued, not leavung his eyes from screen. - I mean, how much Lien did we even spend on this project? - He asked Maken after a while of thinking.

- Around two hundred thousand Lien for construction plus another ten thousand fto not be hungry, thirsty or stuff like that. I mean, we even have now our own building only for us to live in here and govern the city. - Maken maked a smooth response, pointing his left hand thumb to his left, where a small flat was standing. - Rooms for ten people in absolute comfort. - He added, causing most of the group to crunch.

- And additional costs? - Asked Volt, pressing on actually important topic.

- Covered up by Ghira Belladonna. He really wanted this plan to succeed so he invested himself personally. - Maken answered his question, casuing Blake to narrow her eyes. - Anyways, here are the results. - Maken said, turning attention of entire group back to the screen, where full list of participants was showed.

- Hmm... This is frist round, huh? - Asked Lync, seeing himself being paired against anonymous Haos brawler.

- It shows up the entire tournament, from first phases to final and... Match for third place? - Asked Chan, suprised by this additional stage.

- Yep, can't have top three without number three. - Commemted Maken, taking his humoristic side take some time in charge.

- I'm playing against Aquos brawler in first round, how about you? - Asked Chan, looking On rest of her crew.

- I'm battling kid who's using Darkus. - Said Emerald.

- And I got opponent with Aquos atribute like you Emi. - Followed after her Blake.

- The matches are set then, get some free time and get ready at mid-afternoon, especially that I juat got confirmation that total number of arenas capable of usage is now seven! - Ended the conversation Maken, showing up his scroll with multiple messages from local workers as a confirmation.

Velvet pow:

- What do you think? - I asked Tigrerra as we observed one of elctronic bilboards in south-west part of Bakugan City.

- If there is something that I had to say about Pyrus brawlers is that they love to strive for power by easy moves without depth. - Answered my partner, taking her experience to help think of a plan. - They typically use strong bakugans and try to overpower their adversaries as quick and much as possible. - She continued her statement about their playstyle. - All we got to do is keep ourselves on close in power level and then strike back with right ability card. - She ended her analysys with short recomendation.

- Sounds good to me, but now better if we take a while of rest since we can. - I turned around quickly and went to Menagerie for a free time. It was like ten or fiveteen minutes of walking distance to get there, but the travel time was short enough to make on time everything you need to if you could walk even modereatly fast.

Maken pow:

- Wait, you really want to unify this island after this tournament? Why? - Asked me Ghira with accusive tone while we were talking on the standing reserved for VIP's.

- Not quite. - I calmly replied, at which he calmed down. - If other independent e tities of this island just surrender peacefully then nothing bad will happen and no blood will be spilled between them and us. - I went on, explaining my way of thinking. - Hovewer, we must be ready to either use the momemtum given by this tournament to expand on neighbouring microstates or pacify White Fang beyond their endurance so they will be finally destroyed. - I continued with impatience growing inside of me. - Whatever you want to believe or not Sir, Adam Taurus has no care about your beliefes and if he has, then only because he wants to exploit it. - I ranted on, making chieftain take a step back from me. - In the end, It's killed or be killed. That's the rules that actual leader of White Fang set for us two and we either strike him now, force him to retreat or we and many Innocent people will suffer a lot. - I ended my speech by hitting a moralistic tone, causing Ghira to take a deep breath.

- I see. - He replied with very low tone, almost as if he tried to scare me. - I will give my speech after the tournament, I still need to think many factors over. - He said, giving me a forced smile.

- I can't ask for much more. - I replied, doing the same in order to give him my respects. - Anyways, in around the hour the battle will begin, so I recommend to use remaining free time to relax before the games. - I added, walking outside the lodge to internal corridor, who was integralna part of arena. "Now to control tower, it's not even two minutes." - I told myself in thoughts and went forward in, making a stride on the way there.
