Review section:

Guest - Well, thank you for the opinion. As for your points, I will adress them one at the time:

1 - For as much as I know that I specifically adressed this story to be OC-centric (Look: Chapter 1) and I could use it as a excuse, you have a point there. But more screentime for not-main cast means longer chapters, which affects already low upload frequency, but since you bother to leave a review and follow the story since the beginning I'm doing it. Just don't expect too much new chapters tho.

2 - Characters use only one bakugan (Their main one) at the time because that's how it was (mostly) presented in the original show. I mean, assuming that you were the person to give the first review to this story, you already know that in New Vestroia and onwards characters are 'locked' to one bakugan with small exceptions (In this story, Runo did use two at once in second round of her brawl against Velvet earlier.), so I don't think I understand this particular issue.

3 - Maken could use his bakugans in tournament, hovewer he does not participate in it for balance reasons (I mean, what's the point of bringing all brawler that there are around just to beat them up and say goodbyes?). As for Sebastian... His Fall Hydranoid/Amber has 800g (If you don't believe me or other informations, then read earlier chapters.), and I gave an assumption that power cap for this tournament is 400g max, so he technically can't even join in (He would just throw his Fall Maiden Bakugan in battle and stomp instantly, using other bakugans would be against logic because 'why use weaker option?', assuming he isn't Maken who Just wants to stay unpredictable.). Besides, both of them are supossed to watch the place in case something goes wrong (Well, mostly Sebastian and Volt do, Maken is just backing up Blake 90% of the time.).

Still, thanks for asking. Here is new chapter:

Narrator pow:

- Let's see who I got in person. - Emerald said to herself as she entered the arena 4 for her quarter-final match.

- I think we heard of this girl before, haven't we? - Fly Beetle asked from her left shoulder when they saw a petite girl with tall, bunny ears at the opposing side of the ring.

- This isn't right. She seems to be actually serious. - Emerald thought, taking her starting position. - I think we heard of her back in Vale. And after her match with Blake I can only say we're in for a challange. - She added on the side to her partner.

- Gate card set! - Velvet suddenly shouted, throwing a gate card on the field and opening the match. - Bakugan brawl! Haos Tigrerra stand! - She followed up with a throw, as the said bakugan landed on the field and showcased a tiger ready to fight.

- She seems to fight with authority and confidence from footage I saw earlier. - Emerald thought, silently taking her own bakugan in the hand. - Let's do this. Bakugan brawl! Subterra Fly Beetle stand! - She shouted the standard phrase, as her pal joined the battle.

Emerald - 100%

Fly Beetle - 350g

Velvet - 100%

Tigrerra - 400g

- I guess I'll start this one. - Velvet smiled, loading a card into her gauntlet. - Ability activate! Solar Armor! - She said, while the card activated itself and Tigrerra was covered in aggresively bright mist.

Tigrerra - 400g = 800g

- Defensive opening, nice. That gives me some time to think it over. - Emerald thought, observing Tigrerra slowly walking forward towards Fly Beetle, who flew into the air for sake of self preservation. - Ability card activate, Buzzing Driver! - She shouted, taking her card into action.

Tigrerra - 800g = 400g

- Sorry for disruptions, that's just the ability! - Fly Beetle excused himself, vibrating his wings and vaporizing the armor around the tiger with precisely aimed frequency strike.

- Gate card open! Element Merge! - Velvet shouted, showing off her hand forward and playing her reserve move.

Fly Beetle - 350g = 150g

Tigrerra - 400g = 600g

- She played her gate card already, and that means... - Emerald thought, taking another ability. - That I can try to get an upper hand! - She make a grin upon realisation, loading the card in the gauntlet. - Ability activate, Sandstorm! - She shouted, cocking up the gauntlet, which emiteted characteristic bright brown light.

- Light always is repelled by the ground. Wish you know it earlier. - Fly Beetle said, as the air of the arena turned into the violent sandstorm, disabling any possibility of clear view on the battle.

Fly Beetle - 150g = 450g

Tigrerra - 600g = 300g

- I push you on defense, so what you're gonna do now, Velvet? - Emerald asked in her mind, trying to predict opponent's next move.

- Double ability card activate! - Velvet shouted, making a stylish pirouette while activating her cards. - Holographic Charge'n Targe and Haos Boost! - She said, as spark of white mist began to move all over the arena, eventually disolving the sand from the air.

Fly Beetle - 450g = 350g

Tigrerra - 300g = 900g = 1100g

- Ability card activate, Takedown Activation! Emerald shouted at top of her lungs, activating another ability and taking over Velvet's gate card.

Fly Beetle - 350g = 550g = 750g

Tigrerra - 1100g = 900g = 700g

- Nice! - Brown skinned said with raised fist, as her bakugan intercepted his opponent mid-flight and rammed her into the ground, winning the round.

Velvet - 100% = 90%

- Ten down, nineteen to go. - Emerald smiled, catching returning guardian in hand. - All right, now I have the gate card. All I got to do is play it safe. - She thought while taking out her own gate card, oblivious to Velvet ranting on her about 'It's not over yet' or something to that effect.

- How about we go with 400g Subterra Reactor for this round? - Asked Fly Beetle, now browsing available gate cards.

- Sorry but no, Change Link Force is better, against her level of attacks. - She answered, preparing to throw her card.

- Fair enough. - Subterra bakugan said, sensing her plan.

- Gate card set! - Emerald shouted, tossing the card on the floor, where it expanded on the whole field.

- Bakugan brawl! Bakugan stand! - Both girls said, throwing their bakugans back into play.

Fly Beetle - 350g

Serpenoid - 300g, El Condor - 300g

- Serpenoid and El Condor? What are you planning girl? Double throws are kinda risky after all. - Emerlad thought, suprised by the two Haos Bakugans thrown in play.

- Think carefully kid. We don't want to be outmached. - Said Fly Beetle, seeing a smirk on the face of rabbit faunus.

- Sure thing. - His brawler replied, loading a card into the gauntlet. - Ability card activate! Robust Wave! - She added, causing her bakugan to let out a devastating wall of energy at his opponents.

Fly Beetle - 350g = 550g

Serpenoid - 300g = 100g, El Condor - 300g = 100g

- Not so fast! Ability activate! - Velvet shouted in anger, making her move. - Blinding Enlightment! - She ended her sentence, while El Condor shot a beam of light at the Fly Beetle, forcing him into the upper ceeling of the arena where his top was burnt by the sun.

Fly Beetle - 550g = 250g

- Oh, and your ability cards are blocked. - Scarlatina added, making a 'v' letter with her fingers on her left eye.

- Gate card open! Change Link Force! - Emerald commanded, activating the gate card and freeing her warrior from the torment.

Fly Beetle - 250g = 550g

Serpenoid - 100g = -200g, El Condor - 100g = -200g

- Yeah, yeah, you're prepared. - Velver frowned, unimpressed by the move. - Ability activate! Haos Freeze! - She commanded with her card in the gauntlet, as the was temporarly stopped for Tigrerra to join.

Tigrerra - 400g

- And now... - Bunny girl smiled, giving Emerald chills. - Double ability activate, Haos Boost plus Haos Tornado! - She shouted with confidence, as giant spiral of light appeared on the battlefield.

Fly Beetle - 550g = 350g

Serpenoid - -200g = 0g = 200g, El Condor - -200g = 0g = 200g, Tigrerra - 400g = 600g = 800g

- Kid? - Fly Beetle asked, worried about the power disproportion.

- I got, I got it, I got it! - Emerald retored, quickly swapping between her cards to find the solution.

- KIIIIID?! - The bakugan asked again, backing up from incoming tornado.

- Ability activate! - Emerald shouted in hurry, loading another ability card. - Sandstorm! - She called the name of ability, now making Velvet the person with nervous face.

Fly Beetle - 350g = 650g

Serpenoid - 200g = -100g, El Condor - 200g = -100g, Tigrerra - 800g = 500g

- Ugh! Not now... - Velvet scowled, seeing two of her bakugans being tossed back into balls by the sand.

Velvet - 90% = 0%

- Now her only option for the win is to defeat me by 500g or higher, but how will she do that? - Emerald thought, looking at the field where two bakugans capable of speech were combat ready at their finest.

- Triple ability activate! - Velvet shouted, making a mix of her abilities to go for a last resort strike.

- What nuber did she just say? - Emerald asked, widening her eyes.

- Crystal Fang, Cut In Saber and Last Hope Speedblast! - She shouted, transforming Tigrerra into a four-legged mist of light, crystal and speed.

Fly Beetle - 650g = 600g

Tigrerra - 500g = 700g = 900g = 1800g

(Short cut to Volt for plot hole avoidance.)

- My, my. The plan C is going all out. - Bolt told to himself, observing from the telebim at CCT tower the fight of his teammate and hopefully soon-to-be teammate. - I just hope she doesn't hurt her too much. - He added, checking behind him in case someone was watching.

(Back to the fight.)

- Any ideas now? - Asked Fly Beetle, looking at the now building buster lever Tigrerra slowly approaching him.

- I'm... I don't have anything! - Emerald replied to him, looking over the remaining cards she had.

- So I guess we're done here. Quater final is still a good result. - Subterra bakugan commented, looking over the stands to see the reaction of the public. - Make it fast Tigrerra. - He said to his opponent with resignated voice.

- As you wish. - His Haos adversary answered, moving forward fast enough to give him a long slash within a blink of an eye, forcing him into defeat and thursly ending the battle.

Emerald - 100% = 0%

- I guess we're done here as for now. - Velvet said with a smile, catching Tigrerra back in hand. - But why I got so... Passionate about it? Maybe I should just go... - She thought with resignation, turninga round on the heel and leaving without a goodbye.

- Huh, strange girl. So nice yet so... Unusual. - Fly Beetle commented, as Emerald picled him up from the ground.

- Whatever, we're done here as for now. - Emerald said, also leaving the place with him in hand.

Volt pow:

- Whoa, that was really something. - Sebastian said, as I catched him up on watching Chan Lee's match.

- How is it going? Don't tell me she already won. - I joked, joining him inside the control room.

- Yup. Two round, two times 400g advantage is casual Pyrus style. - He said with laid back voice, observing Darkus Limulus returning under the legs of his brawler, while Chan took her time to collect the ovation.

- Admit it, you're just into her. - I said to him, spotting a drop of swet at the back of his head.

- Yes I am, jealous? - He asked me in response, turninga around on the chair and facing me with his default smile.

- No, just curious. - I retored, making him rise his left eyebrow.

- Fine then, in that case I got to go, the room is yours. - He said, getting up from the cair and walking away.

- Don't say he didn't warn you! - Amber added after him, trying to tease me before the doors were closed.

- At least the place is clean... - I told myself, waiting a bit in case Seb came back in. - Now for the intrest plan. - I told myself, adjusting the cameras for my shift. - I just hope Maken is going to let Blake live for this give minutes alone...

Maken pow:

- You're not going to even let me be for a five minutes alone since we walked outside. - Blake told me, as we were walking on the trading seaside, between the (well...) sea and shopping stands.

- You were the one to accept the idea. - I said, making a smug face just for her to get annoyed. - Ok, sorry for this one. - I quickly added just in case.

- Don't worry, you're my mental safety valve for a reason. - She replied, hitting me in the left rib without much force behind it.
