Narrator pow:
- Wait, he wants to do what? - Yang asked in suprise, as rest of her group plus Skyress gathered in the living room to discuss new issue.
- Don't ask us, taking revenge on you specifically comes from a reason. His reason. - Qrow retored to her in serious tone. - I mean, you could tell us what you could do to make him go after your head to begin with. - He added, making a visible suggestion.
- I don't know- - Yang rolled het eyes, only to be cut short by Weiss's finger in front of her lips.
- It's not the time for excuses. You either tell us what's wrong or we won't be able to help you. Besides, we can't let ourselves break our trust. Not here, not now. - Schnee quickly spitted truth on her, giving a very strange vibe of authoritarian ruler.
- Yang... - Oscar (At this moment Ozpin.) said, making a demandful glare.
- Alright, alright, I give up... Just, don't jump on me with fists ok? - Yang pouted heavly, giving up on keeping the things away from others.
- We won't. Just please, tell us what's wrong. - Ruby comforted her, making a worried face.
- In that case please listen. - Yang concluded, pushing Weiss's finger away from herself.
Flashback sequence, three years ago, Yang pow:
- Oh man, this place sure looks like fun. - I told myself as I entered the abandoned power plant on the northeast outskirts of Signal. - All I got to do is find that scrap metal all others keep telling me about. Might even use some to upgrade my own. - I thought, breaking the fence in half with a strong punch and casually walking in. - I just got to hope that rusting electrical cables and the building themselves are more than stable, otherwise I'm screwed. - I continued to think, walking over random screws, metal rods, broken and shattered pieces of power grids or even sharp glass, ocassionally taking longer, alternarive routes for sake of keeping my boots in one piece.
Eventually, I have encountered a boy no older than me sitting on top of one from many power plant buildings. - Hey you! - The boy said, spinning a kunai in his left hand. - What are you doing in here?
- Oh, just looking for metal pieces for a friend. Nothing out of the ordinary. - I said to him, finally taking a look at his rather... Vacuoan style and posture.
- Nothing ordinary happens in places like this, child. - The dark haired teenager argued, jumping from the roof with grace and standing in front of me. - Now get out from he-! - He shouted, before I interrupted him with a quick shot to the chest from my Ember Celica, sending him flying back inside the building.
- You boys really are anno- - I taunted with trash talk before a huge explosion happened in the building, almost throwing me off balance and crushing the building down, most likely alongside the angry boy.
- -ying... Might aswell just leave this place. - I told to myself, turning around from the burning rubble as I left the scene.
Back in the present, narrator pow:
- This doesn't make any sense! - Ren protested, shrugging his arms off. - You hit him once, he crashed, then exploded exploded and now he is after you?
- Yeah, just one hit ant then boom?! - Nora added, following his way of thinking.
- It wasn't supossed to make sense in the first place. Just like real life decisions. - Skyress opposed, placing herself at the Weiss left shoulder. - Real life isn't a straight, good story. More often than not people do things they don't think about and then make automatic justifications for no one outside themselves. - She explained, looking all over the group.
- I think I understand. - Qrow added, looking at her. - At least we know he cannot be reasoned with. Not completly that is.
- Well, we can either prevent him from hurting Yang in our way... - Weiss said, going deep in her thoughts.
-... Or we can do it his way. - Skyress ended the thought, looking at the confused group. - Shun is a man of his word, even if blinded by revenge. If we stop him now then he will give up on his goal. - She added, turning herself towards Weiss.
- All of you, stay here. - Weiss said to the group, activating her time dilation thanks to her semblance. - I'll be back in the short time. - She added, quickly running off the place and leaving her team behind.
- ... - The rest of the group was silent for a while, confused about what to do.
- Odd, I don't think she wants to show something she knows herself on this one. - Oscar thought, making an actual use of having secondary mind inside himself.
- Agreed. She might want to hide something from us. - Ozpin added, agreeing in the observation. - Right now, we can only hope for the positive result of her action.
Chan Lee pow:
- So, what can you tell me about Velvet? - I asked Emerald, as we sit together at the table in preparation room, waiting for my semi-final to begin.
- She has equally strong bakugan, stronger ability cards and a drive that's way stronger than just will od winning. - Emerald said to me, moving her Subterra Hynoid between fingers.
- I see... I told her with odd resignation, looking to the left, where Fourtress and Fly Beetle were making their lifes a better place. - But what do you mean with 'better motivation'? - I suddenly asked her, taken by suprise with rise of intrest.
- Unlike you and many others around here, she didn't came here to win or have fun. She's too motivated to even had a possibility of obsession on winning. - She explained, putting her Hynoid back to the pocket. - She will just come in, give you a false sense of advantage and then throw the match upside down with one or two moves in a row without you being able to do anything.
- Don't worry, I can handle it. - I said, making a little smile.
- As long as you won't approach it as usual brawl, you will. - Emi added, standing up from her chair and taking Fly Beetle in her hand. - Anyways, good luck. I'll be watching you! - She shouted her last goodbyes before leaving the place and closing the door.
- ... If you aren't doing this for Seb, then you might aswell think about her. - Fourtress said after a while of silence, speaking with teaseful joy in his voice.
- You really are pushing me into him, are you? - I asked my partner, as we also went on our way to the match.
- Not more, not less. - He answered, taking a comfort of staying on my shoulder. - I just wonder how Lync is is doing... - He added, looking up in the ceeling of the bland, grey corridor.
Lync pow:
- You want me to WHAT?! - I shouted without anticipation, as Sebastian gave me his request regarding a favor for him.
- To let me borrow fiveteen lien. - Seb answered, keeping his cool posture. - I give it back, trust me.
- Oh, ok. - I suddenly changed my approach, giving a said ammount of cash from my pocket. - But still, why do you need it?
- You know, emergency. - Sebastian retored, turning around and walking away, leaving me in the control room. - I give it back, I promise!
- Knowing him he will just buy something to Chan in case she lost against this Velvet or whatever she's called. - I thought, snickering a little. - But since I alone, I might aswell check where is Emerald. - I decided, taking a seat before the control panel and adjusting the station to my needs.
Author pow:
Ok, this chapter was very short, even for my own standards given the lenght to time ratio. Hovewer, The next one is going to be actually longer, both in words and writing time I spend on it.
See you next time!
