Maken pow:
- This place will do. - I said, as I and Blake rolled into the battle arena on one of free arenas to do our combat practise. - May I begin? Or maybe you have a question before we start? - I then asked my sparring partner, turning around and walking backwards a little to establish a theoretical space on which the training will be done.
- What will be done on that training? - Blake asked, gently throwing her Ravenoid away so he would socialize with my Griffon on the side.
- Combat practise in most realistic and least schematic way possible. - I calmly explained, cracking up a smile.
- Which is- - Blake was about to ask me, but was interrupted by me swinging my mace right in front of her and pointing it at her face, barely leaving a space for breathing.
- What if you need damage NOW? - I asked with energetic voice, almost of if I ranted about something. - WHAT IF death stares you in the eyes? - I asked again, swinging the mce so hard that Blake tripped backwards due to inconsistant air pressure. - What if your enemies are LAUNCHED? - I nearly shouted the last part, jumping into the air and making a drop-kick into the ground right behind her, forcefully pushing her away with the power of reactionary physics.
- Oww... - Blake scowled, getting up on her legs and checking herself for any aura losses.
- These and many other things will be explored in the fullest during the lessons between us. - I promptly said, turning around and shruging off my arms. - Ready to start the first round? - I asked, sending her a determined glare.
- Now or never I guess. - Blake smiled before taking our Gambol Shroud in katana mode and rushing forward to fight me.
Narrator pow:
- They sure look kinda funky together when not in peace. - Griffon laughed, as he and Ravenoid watched their brawlers fighting a round after round with the owner of the first one being in a dominating position.
- Well, I hoped they could aslo brawl with us a little. She surely will need more confidence in this too. - Ravenoid added on his own, observing with nervous face as Blake got stomped into the ground with a forceful push.
- Might aswell do something on our own. - Griffon proudly concluded turning to his pal. - How about we do one hundred thousans push-ups in a spare time? - He asked him with a genuine voice.
- Might aswell... - Ravenoid responded as the two fall on their faves and began to wiggle around with their side elements.
Sebastian pow:
- Great job! You're on the final now. - I said to Chan in a supportive manner, gently taking her hand and walking outside the arena with her.
- Yeah, that's sweet from you and all but... - Chan said on her own with hesitance, as she turned her head left to the telebim where Lync had just been announced to be victorious against an Aquos Warius as his Ventus El Condor blasting him off the stage with his lazer eyes.
- Nervous? - I asked, doing a well mannered hug with my left arm.
- Only a little. He might have an atribute advantage but I won't step back this time. - She smiled, making a slightly determined face.
- That's the girl for you! - Amber sjddenly shouted from my arm, giggling a little.
- Stop it... - I sighed, annoyed by the relationship jokes.
- Calm down you all, this isn't productive. - Fourtress said, quieting the group. - How about we talk strategy before the battle begins?
- Sounds good. - I responded, seeing the obvious sense in it.
- Migh aswell. - Chan added, while Amber only nodded in silence.
Volt pow:
- Dammit. How in the hell are we supposed to organise the safety for Menagerie and it's people? Low-restriction gun laws and bakugans might not be enough. - I thought, looking at the multiple cards with schemes, documents and tons of other things I had in my office. Not as much for creativity as for burecracy and governing the technological heart of this soon-to-be kingdom but nothenless.
- Since bakugans and brawlers will be the core of the army and standard soldiers will be the filler for control... Navy will be the skeleton and the muscle of our new army! - I nearly said out loud, as I took new blue empty schematics card of paper in A1 format and began to make my prototype of the new naval ship.
- What are you doing Volt? - Pyrrha asked me, as she jumped from her 'bed' as we called the 2cmx2cmx3cm pile of tissues and landed on my left shoulder.
- Preparing a brief look of what will be an enforcer of safety over the seas. - I explaied, slowly drawing a bulk of the ship. - Now please be a good friend and hand me over a circle, I need to pay attention to the details here.
Narrator pow:
- Hey Emerald, I got a great plan. - Lync said, clenching his fist into the table as he was about to have a passionate discussion with said person.
- What kind of a 'grand plan' exacly? - She asked him, already unamused as if she already knew the answer.
- A smart one. - He answered her, making a confident smile on his face.
- Explain, please. - Emerald cut in, trying herd to keep her compousure.
- So, after I win in the tournament and become the last member of actually. decision making trio in this group, I will push myself upwards to take control over military. - Lync began his explaination, granting himself a break for a sip of weak booze. - Then, since Maken and Volt will absolutly want to unify Menagerie with violence instead tedious diplomacy and tolerance, I will showcase my firmy handjob at the command and conquer the rest of this island while Ghira goes down from powerless quasi-leader to an actual marionette in the hands of our group. - He continued his speech, taking a while to look at Emerald's face full of amazement over his stupidity.
- ...What? - She asked to check if she herd correctly.
- A trump card in my back. - Lync punned, throwing his Ventus Robotallion up and down as they both walked down the street of Bakugan City. - After the unification war it's only a matter of time that Maken and Volt will go at eachother's heads. Then I will side with Volt as his good old friend, we dump Maken and whoever sides with him in a dumpster and do whatever we want to. - He added, switching his attention from throwing his bakugan into the air to looking forward where Chan and Sebastian were busy with their own talk.
- But why throw Ghira and Maken down in the first place? - Fly Beetle asked, joining the conversation.
- Ghira is useless in a mid-term and Maken has dark tendecies and sides with daughter of the first one in a too hard way to make me believe he still acts rationally as he used to back then when we first met. - Lync almost pouted at the ending of this sentence, giving the Subterra duo a sad look. - A lazy daydreaming kiddo that I am won't become the wind of change that he wants because he got some power hungry delusions. I went this path for everyone's sake. And that includes the sake of you.
- ...Wait... You're doing this crap... For me??? - Emerald asked after a while of silence, giving him a disturbed look.
- It's up to your interpretation. - Lync retored with tired face. - Anyways I must go, 'The wind of change' cannot wait. - He excused himself before walking away to the arena in a fast stride, leaving her behind with mixed feelings.
Maken pow:
- Strkie! Parry! RIPOSTE! - I send shout after shout as I have Blake a hardest sword fighting known to sentient beings in remnant, enforcing her to withstand my onslaught of attacks alongside rapid changes of fighting style, taunting or just simulation of me snapping her block into a Slim Jim (As for when I learned what it is, I looked it up on the internet. DO NOT QUESTION IT.).
- Whoa! - Blake shouted in suprise, as my mace banged from her dual block made by both stasch and Gambol Shroud's blade, sending both of us backward for at least a distance of a single gate card. - How did my weapons didn't broke yet? With this force you could slash boulders left and right!
- I modified them once when you were sleeping this week. - I laughed a Little before spinning the mace and walking forward. - Work for safety begins in a most common and smallest situations. I. Can't. Let. Undergoings. Slip. Past. Me. - I explained with static voice, still going forward.
- Heh... Glad to hear you care this much but... - She paited heavly, absolutly at the limit of her stamina. - ...Mind if we ended it here? This is just intense...
- Since you're asking... Why not? - I smiled a little, putting his weapon back in it's place. - Also, the final begins soon enough, So how about we sit with your family?
Volt pow:
- Lenght is... Well, three hundred meters should be enough... - I slowly said word by word as I measured the general size of the ship. - Beam has to be 50 meters... And 35 meters of draft to have an actual space in here while maintaining the thick armor.
- That's... Very expensive. - Pyhhra added from the side with worried voice. - How do you even get funds and resources to begin with?
- Funds I have with myself here and now. Technology, standard resources and human ones are already here too. - I calmly explained, taking another take on the ship's deck. - The docks will be created from the ground near the city and will be connected by a railroad that's going to connect the whole island together. I am smart enough for logistics.
- Then how about the others? Aren't you going to present them this plan? - Girl in a body of Aquos bakugan asked me again, still unsure about the project.
- Ghira has nothing to really say about it. Lync will definitly be on my side, Maken is going to understand it So Blake will follow too. And I'm sure Sebastian can be convinced by conventional measures. - I cracked a little from my negotiation plans before putting the work on the side. - Now come here and take a sit. Our friends are going at eachother over being a middle man of our group. - I added, activating a screen in front of us for a final of the tournament.
