The Daily Lives of The Owl Familia:
The Kitchen Incident
Summary: No matter the age, the place, or the person, if someone hurt (in her eyes) her girlfriend, Amity will go on the attack.
Timeline: Around the time Hunter was talking to Steve
"Now, remember, dear," Gwen said kindly. "Soft, circular motions work the best when drying.
With a light blush, Amity gave a determined nod and began to dry the wet pitcher in her hands. Gwen smiled warmly at this and went back to washing the day's dishes. Beside her was her adopted granddaughter. Luz was beaming with pride as she watched her girlfriend hand-dry the pitcher. Steve was with them just a minute ago but went to answer the door, and she frown as a thought popped into her head.
"Abuela, why did you put Hooty in Mama Eda's room?" the human witch asked curiously.
Gwen stole a glaze at the "knocked-down" witch and sighed. "Let's just say that dear boy needs to learn about personal space," the elder beast-keeper said tiredly, and then offered Luz a kind smile. "Now let's finish these dishes before my daughters get home with dinner."
Luz smiled and turned her attention to the dishes in the sink. Gwen was rinsing out a dish when it slip from her hands and fell into the sink. The resulting splash get Luz in the arm and she laughed slightly.
"Abuela," Luz giggled as she wiped off the soapy water. "That's cold."
Gwen smiled at her human granddaughter and offered her a towel. From her spot, Amity watched all of this with growing anger. In her young, clouded mind, the "knocked-down" witch saw not a simple accident but an attack on her girlfriend.
And that made Amity Blight mad.
"NO MESS WITH UZ-UZ!" she screamed as she summoned an abomination.
Everyone, even Amity, was surprised when a full-grown abomination appeared beside the witch. Amity quickly recovered and looked ready to attack the elder beast-keeper. Sensing danger, Luz got between the two witches and tried to defuse things.
"Amity! AMITY! Calm down. It's just water, it's not even boiling!"
But Amity wasn't listening; all she saw was her Luz being hurt and she wouldn't let that stand. Her abomination grabbed the glass pitcher from its witch and pulled its arm back.
"Amity Bright-ClaAAAHH!" Gwen and Luz dove to the ground when the abomination threw the pitcher and it shattered against the wall. "This is only your warning, young lady! Put your abomination away or you not getting any dessert after dinner."
Amity still wasn't listening and was readying her abomination for a fight. Luz got to her feet and got close to her "knocked-down" girlfriend.
"Amity, please calm down," Luz said softly and held up the arm that got splashed. "See, I got no boo-boos."
The abomination witch looked at her girlfriend and some of her anger softened as she looked at the arm. Gwen used this moment to try and disappeared; she slowly inched towards the door. She was close to the kitchen's exit when she stepped on a wood panel and it creaked.
Amity heard the noise and looked over her girlfriend's side. Her anger returned and turned her abomination into a ball, and pulled it back. Luz, panicking slightly, did the first thing that came to mind and ran to Gwen.
It seemed that Luz's train of thought was that she hoped that Amity would stop when she saw her in the line of fire. But Amity was in process of throwing her ball and the wide-eyed witch couldn't stop.
Realizing what was about to happen, Luz said the first thing that came to mind. "Ah farts."
"Language, young lady," Gwen scolded her human granddaughter as she wrapped her in a hug.
The abomination ball hit the two a second later and they went flying. Amity gasped and summoned another abomination. The creature picked up its "knocked-down" witch and gave chase.
Amity tried to stop the mess of goo and living beings, but she was panicking much to focus. The best she could do was guide the ball in the direction of the open front door. She didn't even care that there were two people at the door, all that mattered was keeping her girlfriend safe.
"Sowwy, Uz-Uz!" Amity screamed as she chased after her girlfriend and girlfriend's adoptive grandmother.

Fun fact; this was going to be part of the epilogue to my "Raven Will Soar" story. I cut it due because my pending move was giving me a bit of a writing cramp.
