The Daily Lives of The Owl Familia:
Soul Stone Search: P2
Summary: Luz is sulking around Bonesborough when she runs into someone unexpectedly.
Timeline: Immediately after part 1
Roca, magically shrunk to the size of a large earth dog, whined as he looked at his witch. He didn't need to be bonded with Luz to know she was in a bad mood. The human witch's shoulders were slumped, her hands were in her pants pockets and her hood was up.
The stonesleeper hated to see his witch like this and wished something would happen to snap Luz out of her mood.
"Well, if it isn't Luz Noceda. Or do you prefer Luzura Noceda-Clawthorne while on the Isles?"
Luz half-heartedly looked up and saw the head of the Oracle Coven coming to her, a shopping bag floating behind him. Though his facial hair hides his mouth, the human gets the feeling he was smiling.
"What do you want?" Luz asked sullenly.
Normally, Luz would be on guard when dealing with one of Belos's heads, but she simply wasn't in the mood. On the other hand, Roca was on guard and growled a warning at Osran. The Oracle kept his distance and continue to study the human witch.
"Is something bothering you, child?" he asked knowingly.
Luz decided she wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone and began to walk away. Roca offered one final growl at the head witch and went off with his witch.
"If you let me, I may know a way to help with your girlfriend's pain," Osran called to Luz.
Luz stopped, turned on her heels, and took out a couple of glyphs as she stormed up to the oracle witch.
"Before you attack," Osran said calmly, holding out a hand. "Allow me to speak, and if not to your liking, I will allow you to attack me."
Luz kept her body tense but otherwise didn't attack. Roca, however, looked ready to tear into the Oracle if he moved as much as a finger.
"There's an old oracle legend about an item called the soul stone," Osran explained calmly, "The legend goes that somewhere in the center of the knee is an old castle that houses a large stone. It believed that if two souls are truly destined for each other, they can share anything through pieces of the stone…including pain."
Luz looked at the head watch, struggling to make up her mind. On one hand, she knew she shouldn't trust one of her enemies, but the idea she could help Amity was quickly overriding her reason.
It didn't take long for Luz to make her decision, and she took off Roca's collar. She jumped onto the stonesleeper as he returned to his normal size.
Luz looked at the head witch one last time before telling Roca to gun it. Osran watched as the human and her bond beast disappeared over the horizon, and then looked to his right.
The Blight-Clawthorne family and Willia appeared and Eda looked ready to go harpy and tear Osran to sheds. She stormed up to the head and grabbed him by the mustache.
"What do you think you're doing?" Eda growled in an uncharacteristically serious tone. "What did you say to my kid?"
"Oh, I was just telling her about an old oracle legend," the head witch replied casually.
Eda growled as her form began to shift. Thankfully, Lilith was able to control herself better than her sister, but just barely. She put her hand on her sister's shoulder and looked at the oracle.
"Head Witch Osran, did you tell that legend to my niece on purpose?" the ex-coven head asked, not even bothering to hide her fury.
"Like that renown healer who made a rare bladder," Osran said, pointing to a perplexed Willia, "I was curious if the "Clawthorne Paradox" was genuine."
Eda growled, but her body stopped changing and settled on her natural form. She let go of the oracle and took a step back. She took out her witch staff and held it out for Lilith. The ex-head witch understood and took her sister's staff as he handed Eda hers.
Amity joined her new family and called Ghost in her staff form.
Together, the Blight-Clawthorne raised their staffs over their heads and was ready to get the oracle head the biggest "bonk heard around the demon realm" ever. They suddenly stopped when Orsan began to moan in slight pain.
"G-G-Gahhhhaaa!" Orsan suddenly screamed as he held his head and fell to his knees.
The Owl Familia watched as Orsan began to breathe heavily and his body shook violently for a few seconds. The Head witch began to calm and concern replacing their anger slightly. Lilith lowered her sister's staff and took a step toward the coven leader. Panting, Orsan held up one of his arms, and slowly stood up.
"I am okay," He stated through his panting. "It's just something that happens every once in a while."
The Oracle head took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. He next looked at the family with something close to sympathy.
"Now, if you permit me, I would like to accompany you and help out in any way possible," the coven head said kindly and pulled out a familiar-looking whistle. "And I have a way we all could travel together."
He blew the whistle without waiting for a reply. A minute later, a roar was heard and a dragon much like the one Kikimoru rode appeared in the skies.
"Do all Coven officials have one of those dragons?" Amy asked her mother curiously.
Lilith nodded and then looked at her sister. She saw that Eda was glaring at the coven head like she wanted to still murder him. And she couldn't blame her sister, a part of her also wanted to cause him pain.
Lilith didn't act on this urge, knowing they had more important things to worry about. She was about to tell her sister this when Eda let out a bitter sigh.
"You're lucky my kid's in trouble, or I would tear you to shed where you stand," Eda growled and did the "watching you" gesture.
Lilith sighed and looked at her daughter. Much Like Eda, Amity wanted to hurt the head witch, she could see in her daughter's eyes. But, also Like Eda, she realized that there were more important matters to deal with.
Lilith looked at Orsan one last time. There was something was wanted to talk about with him. Like the rest of her family, she decided now wasn't the time and moved towards the dragon.

If you're wondering what's happening with the head witch, that will be revealed in a few short chapters, but it ties in with an element I believe had gone over some people's heads.
