Unsung Heroes
The
greatest of heroes are often unsung,
Their
deeds and triumphs and battles won
Are
sometimes forgotten when the hero's among
Folk
in the common throng.
A
hero's a man that gives his last copper away
To
someone who needs it far more that day,
A
hero's a slayer of monster and fae,
Not
a doer of good and no wrong.
A
kind word here is all it would take
To
make someone's day, fix a mistake,
And
there it would sooth, ease someone's ache,
A
babe's face no longer so long.
So
you there you see, for large or small,
It
is not hard, this job so small!
If
it's the last thing you do: list'n to this Bard:
Renown
be nothing at all!
