Title: 'Muad'Dib Speaks'
Author: Shaitanah
Timeline: basically every book of 'Dune'
AN: Just a little poem about Muad'Dib I wrote during my history lecture. Please, R&R!
MUAD'DIB SPEAKS
'I shall teach you the Weirding Way', he said,
'And you shall call me Muad'Dib.
The Harkonnens' evil empire under my siege
Will shatter bit by bit.
I shall proclaim my holy Jihad on those
Who dare not believe.
Through my name you will learn the meaning of Faith
And you'll wear it on your sleeve.
I'll create a million futures for you
But only one for myself.
To know the future is to be trapped by it'.
Isn't it what the Prophet had said?
'I shall give you the prosperous world of Liet
But the Desert prevails once more!
A million doors can be opened before you,
But remember: there is always one door'.
When Muad'Dib speaks, his people do listen:
The Prophet can't be understood.
Do they know it is the Holy Sister speaking
As the Messiah himself never would?
He wanders the streets like a nameless pilgrim
Under the eyes of those too quick to judge.
'We've become water-fat', they say.
They had never wanted as much.
Muad'Dib said: 'I shall bring peace on Arrakis'.
The wheel should turn once more.
A million realities for his people he had made,
That Prophet of the days of yore.
