Alright, as I hope you know, there is a Trollhunters movie out now, called Rise of The Titans. I absolutely despise it, especially the ending. So, I am writing this as an alternate ending for the Tales of Arcadia trilogy because, let's be real (spoilers!), Toby cannot be the Trollhunter, and all of the series doesn't exist anymore, so... I'm supa annoyed. So, if you share my feelings, here you go! This one is not as annoying and a hell of a lot less characters die!
Trollhunters: Dawn of The Titans
We Can Try.
My name is James Lake Junior.
About a year ago, a magical amulet chose me as its first human Trollhunter. I've met tons of friends along the way, some from an entirely different planet, and we've saved the world numerous times. Sometimes that involved going back in time, sometimes that involved turning me into a troll.
What's really stood out, though, is that we've managed to keep our loved ones close to us, even when the Earth is at the brink of being destroyed by demigods.
Those demigods are called Nari, Bellroc and Skrael. The Arcane Order. Nari had a change of heart, deciding to join us instead of wiping away humanity. A powerful wizard, Hiserdoux Casperon, made a sacrifice to stall the Arcane Orders progress of erasing the Earth, by trading Nari for the Genesis Seals. All three members of the Arcane Order must be present to break them and unleash giants called Titans on the world, that's why we must keep Nari safe.
Their goal is to rebirth the world.
Our goal is to stop them from destroying all life.
The Trollhunters of the past have always worked alone, to distance themselves from others to stop them from getting hurt. But I have learnt that they were wrong.
We are stronger together!
"The world's gonna end! We're all gonna die!" a man was calling out helplessly, bugging people for cash.
Hisirdoux walked up to him, handing him a coin. "Not on my watch," he said, and turned away, a hand resting firmly on Nari's shoulder, steering her through the crowd of the bustling city.
"Douxie," Nari said, looking up at the wizard. "I sense the Orders presence…"
"It's okay, Nari…" Douxie said, glancing worriedly at the antlers on the small forest child that looked a little too real, not to mention they stood out.
"Bellroc is near…" Nari whispered, gripping Douxies hand. "We must hide…" She adjusted the glasses on her face to prevent them from falling.
"Okay, hang on…" Douxie weaved through the people, pulling Nari into a nearby subway station.
There were lots of people in the underground station, which was good. Hopefully, the Arcane Order wouldn't attack when there were lots of witnesses… and hopefully they hadn't been seen.
"What should we do, Nari?" Douxie asked hesitantly, finding a seat on a bench against the wall.
"I do not know… All we can do is wait and hope."
A couple of hours past.
"I think it's alright now," Douxie said, feeling as if he'd been holding his breath for a while. Nari nodded in agreement, the soft nature spirit finding it hard to talk through all the noise around them.
Pushing through the tight gathering of people at the entrance, they exited the subway, shivering at the sudden temperature drop. Douxie looked around, a hazy white fog forming. Ice particles were seen in the air, everyone's breath coming out in a cloud.
"Oh, fuzzbuckets…" Douxie swore, his stomach dropping nervously. "Nari, stay close." He grabbed her hand as the fog thickened.
"Skrael…" Nari breathed, eyes wide as the pale-blue ice-demigod appeared seemingly from nowhere.
"You cannot escape this time, Nari," Skrael said in a chilling voice.
Douxie moved in front of Nari, his wrist cuff glowing with blue runes.
"You're not taking her!" he shouted over the panicking/selfie-ing people.
"And you're going to stop me? Ha!" Skrael scoffed, raising his staff, snow swarming around the floating figure.
Douxie pulled his staff out of nowhere, posing in a battle stance.
"Nari, stay behind—Nari!" Bellroc had appeared behind the two suddenly, reaching for the plant demigod—
Instantly, Douxie and Nari were sent plummeting through a portal that had materialised beneath them, which shut as soon as they had entered.
They landed painfully on a floating rock, among the many, completely surrounded by darkness.
"The Shadow Realm," Douxie breathed.
"We got your back, Teach!" said a voice.
"Claire?" Douxie asked, surprised. "What are you doing here? Wha—what are you all doing here?" he added when more familiar faces appeared behind Claire, as each of his friends stepped out of the portal the shadow mage had conjured.
"We have to help a friend somehow, don't we?" Jim Lake said, offering a hand to help Douxie off the ground.
"Thank you," Douxie said gratefully. "The Arcane Order found us…"
"We know. You're lucky your cat can fly fast!" Steve Palchuck told him, his voice lingering with its usual boasting sound.
"Thank goodness you're safe," Archie said, flying to nuzzle Douxie.
"Thanks to you," he reassured his familiar.
"We're safe in here, right Claire?" Toby Dumsouski asked the girl.
"Unless the Order figured out how to use Shadow Magic, yes," she replied. "But we can't stay in here forever. I think we need to try to get the Genesis Seals back."
"Claire's right," Douxie said, addressing the others gathered. "Unfortunately, I'm not sure how."
"Krel's been testing technology that can apparently stop magic," Jim said.
"Yes! It's nearly complete!" Krel told everyone enthusiastically. "It's like a laser—but it creates a bubble—it can stop magic—that means we'll be able to—"
"We'll be able to stop the Order in their tracks!" Douxie realised.
"Thanks for stealing my thunder, but yes, that is the idea."
"We can steal the Seals when they're unable to fight back!" Claire said.
"This could work!" agreed Jim.
"Oh-ho, it's butt-kicking time!" Steve exclaimed.
"Hey! That's my line!" Toby protested.
"Douxie…" Nari started. "There is nothing that can stop the Arcane Order… not like that."
"We can still try, Nari," Douxie said determinedly.
Please tell me what you think!
