Chapter One

Prologue

Before the start of time, there was a demon from another planet called the nine-tailed fox who landed on earth from a mysterious rock. It laid waste to the lands with its powerful curse energy, until one day a brave man stepped forward to stop the beast from ever harming anyone again. He succeeded... at the cost of his own life but he did not defeat it at all. It was too powerful to kill so the man sealed the beast away.

Many have searched for the location of the monster to utilize its powers or worse. Even with the knowledge that no good would come from using the evil power of a demon. Luckily, their searches were futile for the rock in which the beast was sealed. It had been well hidden. A millennia passed and the fox had been forgotten with time. It was now an old story passed down from generation to generation to scare children. There were only a few that knew and believed in its existence. They understood that if the beast were to ever escape it would trigger the Apocalypse. Its powerful curse energy creating monsters no one could ever imagine defeating.

"Naruto?! Where are you, son?! Naruto!?"

A man on a boat screamed in the middle of the ocean. It was nighttime. There was a rough storm. Rain fell from the sky loudly. Thunder rumbled and lightning struck. The boat rocked back and forth. Left to right. On the boat were 6 people screaming the name Naruto. Each person was dressed in a long waterproof raincoat. They screamed and screamed. They searched with their flashlights, sailing up the rough seas but there was no sign of the boy.

A woman walked up to the man who was searching for his son and reached out for his hand. He grabbed it. And looked at her. None of their features could be seen. It was all blurred by the powerful rainstorm. There was only a faint glimpse of the couple's eyes. The man had blue eyes and the woman green. They shared the same look in their eyes. Fear. Fear for their son.

Who was lost at sea?

"How could we let this happen?! We fell asleep for one second and our boy. Our sixteen-year-old boy who came out to see the sea was sent overboard by rough waves. We must find him! I can't lose my first and only child," the woman was frantic. Her tears were eliminated by the rain but the pure pain in her voice made it clear. She was a worried mother. Feared for her son. Missed her son. The pain in her heart was laid bare in the tone in which she spoke.

The father did not know what to say. All he did was look away and squeeze his wife's hand harder. He hoped that it would help ease her pain. He however knew. That it would do little too sedate her agony. As a man felt like a failure. He had brought his son on this boat ride. Even though the boy had never gone to sea before. He brought his son straight into this storm. It was all his fault. He closed his eyes and joined his wife in sobbing.

He remembered his son's words to him years ago.

I just wanna be a great archaeologist just like you and mom. We'll find the world's undiscovered treasures together. Travel the globe. Fight bad guys like Indiana Jones! We will be together forever! Promise me, we'll stay together forever!"

He smiled.

"I promise, Naruto and mommy promises too."

The memory only seemed to add to his pain.

He gripped his heart and so did his wife. Both of them remembered. Giving their boy a necklace each. The father gave his son a holy cross from his church to keep him safe from evil and the mother a peace sign so that he remembered that violence was never the answer to anything. He should spread peace, love, and positivity into the world so that he may receive it back.

The couple hoped these accessories or symbols of their philosophies would somehow guide their son back to them.

On the ground deep within the sea was said the boy in a yellow raincoat similar to his parents. His body limp on top of a giant rock with a seal on it. The teen had sunken just after he'd stopped breathing and his lungs were filled to the brim with seawater. Naruto was dead. Or so it looked. Somehow someway the golden-haired boy was still alive. Barely. All that remained was his mind. The body shut down long ago.

The boy thought, 'I don't wanna die yet. I wanna be an archeologist like my mom and dad. Someone save me. God. Kami. I don't know. I'm scared! Anyone save me! I'm scared!'

The symbol on the rock began to glow bright red as red bubbles started to seep out of the rock-like... Nine tails and the face of a fox form. The size of a mountain. It stalked the body of the boy like a snake. Until it snapped at the boy. It enclosed the teenager in its energy. Swiftly seeping inside of the boy's mouth and eyes. Naruto's body began to shake violently from all the energy entering his body. This lasted for 10 minutes until it finally stopped and the boy went limp again.

A voice boomed evilly in the teenager's head.

"You're mine now. Haha!"

The wife and the husband were still searching along with their crew. One of the crew members walked up to the couple and spoke, "I'm so sorry Minato and Kushina but we must leave the sea now. The waves are picking up, and so is the storm. It is getting too dangerous for us to be here. We'll have to inform the police when we get back to the docks about... your son"

Kushina gritted her teeth and buried her face into her husband's chest. She began to sob. Minato held her close and kissed her on her head. He turned to the captain of the ship. The man who sailed the boat. He didn't have the words to speak so he just nodded at the man. Who nodded back. He took his leave. Informing his crew to turn the ship around.

Minato began silently crying too.

He failed as a father.

From the top view of the ship. What the crew could not see was a shadow looming under the boat. It grew larger and larger with each passing second. It was huge. It was the shape of an animal. A head. The head of a fox. Before anyone could take another breath.. the ship was devoured by the mouth of a giant fox. It chewed the ship until it was in pieces and spat it out. The people on the ship... among the rubble.

Everyone dead.

The sun started to rise. It illuminated the beach. It soon became crowded with people. All dressed in typical beach clothing. Which was a short, T-shirt, glasses, and flip-flops for the men while the woman wore bikinis and full bathing suits. These women were running into the sea with surfboards The waves were low. So good for beginners to practice on.

When they got deeper into the ocean they saw a body floating next to them and they screamed.

The body washed up to shore. People started to gather around the body. They began murmuring to themselves. None of them had ever been in a nation like this before. What could they do? They were not lifeguards and they were certainly not doctors.

Comments began to fly around.

"Omg! Is he dead?!"

"No shit!"

"He's just a kid... Teenager nonetheless!"

"I wonder what happened!"

"He's covered in blood! Did someone murder him and dump his body off a boat or something."

"Hey! Is that kid the son of some famous archeologist?!"

"Holy. Shit, it is!"

"Hey, don't push me!"

"That asshole pushed me too."

Suddenly a man appeared in front of the body. A tall man with spiked-up silver hair was dressed in an all-black high-necked jacket with matching pants and dark dress boots along with a black blindfold covering his eyes. The man was staring at the body curiously with a popsicle in his mouth. After he finished it he threw the stick away and kicked the body lightly. His action elected a loud outcry from everyone around him.

"What the hell dude!? You can't do that? He can't do that!"

"Don't you have respect for the dead... you weirdo!?

"Yeah!"

The man ignored the people and crouched down to the left of the body. He examined it attentively... then wacked the boy hard on the heart with his fist. In an instant, Naruto shot up spitting out large amounts of water from his mouth. He coughed for what seemed like hour and went from coughing to gasping for air often. Finally, he cleared the water out of his lungs. When he began to get his breathing under control. He fell to the ground holding his head in pain.

"Hiya! My name is Gojo, nice to meet you Naruto! Let's be best friends! Just kidding. Haha!"

Naruto turned to the man who'd saved him, shocked that he was alive and shocked that the strange man knew his name.

"Mr. Namikaze. You need to come with me," said Gojo with a smile on his face. Before the blonde could respond. The man chopped him in the neck. It rendered the blonde unconscious. Gojo threw the teenager on his shoulder and walked off humming a tune.

"Hey, that's kidnapping get back here you Kakashi ripoff!"

Gojo stopped in his tracks. Making everyone step back slightly in fear of the his wrath. The silver-haired male made a gun finger and pointed it at the crowd. They became even more fearful. Gojo fired off his weapon. When nothing happened, the crowd let go a sigh of relief. What they did not see however was the cursed apparition behind them that the blindfolded male had saved them from.

Sadly they would never know.
