First, before we get to the story, here is my answer to the review from the first chapter.

Karlos1234ify: Glad it has your attention.

Here's chapter 3, updated for your reading pleasure.

Izuku woke up the next morning with excitement and determination.

"Today's the day," he yelled happily. "Today's the day, today's the day!!!"

[Izuku] Scarab said, annoyed. [If you start singing, on some Broadway musical type shit, I swear to God I will electrocute you.]

"Jeez, why so cranky, Khaji?"

[Gee, I don't know. Maybe because it's 7:30 in the morning!!!]

"What's your point? We have to get ready!" [Zu, the test doesn't start until 9. The trains are running on time and U.A. is only a half-hour away. Take your hyper ass back to bed!]

Izuku got out of bed and immediately did some pushups.

[Okay] Scarab groaned. [So we're up now. Why are we doing pushups?]

"Force of habit. Sorry." Izuku jumped up and hopped into the shower.

Minutes later, the greenette walked into the living room, carrying a backpack.

"Good morning, son," Inko said. "Breakfast coming up." He went to kiss her on the cheek.

"Good morning, Mom," he replied brightly.

"Ready for the test?"

"I'm not gonna lie," Izuku replied, grabbing a bowl out of the cabinet. "I'm kinda nervous."

"Don't be," Inko said. "I know you're gonna do well."

"Thanks, Mom," Izuku said, beaming.

"Um, do I look ok?"

He was wearing a black dress jacket and pants with a white button-down.

"You look fine. Now, eat."

Izuku sat at the table and gobbled down his breakfast.

[Slow down, kiddo. You're taking a test, not going to the electric chair!]

"Izuku," Inko said. "I need to ask you something."

Izuku wiped his mouth and looked up. "Sure, Mom."

"The scarab on your back, can it hear me?"

"Yes. Why?" he asked skeptically.

"I want to ask a favor."

"Oh ok. Go ahead." Izuku gulped nervously.

Inko cleared her throat. "Um, Scarab," she said nervously. "I want to say thank you for all the help you've given my son and I'm sorry for slapping you with a magazine when we first met."

[Ugh, I still feel it.]

"I wanted to ask you to protect my son. He's all I have in this world and I don't want to lose him."

Izuku waited for the alien's answer.

[Izuku, tell her this.]

"Izuku," Inko said. "What did he say?"

"He says he will grant you this favor as long as you don't hit him again."

"Aww. Ok, I promise." she said, smiling.

Izuku checked his watch.

"Oh crap, I gotta go!"

He quickly finished his food. He went to the door and grabbed his backpack.

"Bye Mom! Love you!"

"I love you too, son, good luck!"

He walked out of the apartment, put on his earphones, and headed towards the train station, playing YOSEMITE by Travis Scott ft Gunna and NAV.

Minutes later, Izuku arrived at U.A. High. He stood on the school grounds, marveling at the majesty of the prestigious hero academy. He smiled confidently. His playlist switched over to Rambo by Joyner Lucas and Lil Durk. His earphones drowned out the world and people around him, including a certain spiky-haired blonde standing behind him.

"Deku," Bakugou said, annoyed. "Outta my way."

Izuku seemed to ignore him so he grabbed the green-haired boy's shoulder and spun him around hard.

"Hey, idiot," the ash-blonde barked. "Didn't you hear me?!"

[Aw hell nah! It's time to murder a bitch.]

"Scarab, calm down." Izuku said to the insectoid. "Let me handle this."

[Fine, but if he hits you, I'm stabbing him.]

The greenette brushed Bakugou's hand off his shoulder and removed his earphones. "Can I help you, Katsuki?"

Bakugou didn't know what shocked him more, the deadpan look in Izuku's eyes, or the fact that he called him by his real name.

" The balls on this nerd," he thought. "I think he's challenging me."

"What are you doing here, nerd?" Bakugou sneered.

"I'm here for the Entrance Exam."

"Why? What makes you think that an academy like U.A. will accept a Quirkless loser like you?"

Izuku pondered the blonde's question for a moment.

"I don't know, Katsuki," he said, smiling. "But if they're willing to accept you as a student, I don't think they'll have a problem with me."

Izuku turned and walked inside the school, leaving Bakugou yelling and cursing.

"What the hell is that supposed to mean? Deku! Get back here, you bastard!!"

[Damn, Zu! I didn't think you had it in you!] "Well, I learned from the best."

Izuku walked to the auditorium and sat in a seat in the middle. He looked around at the various groups of students, each in different shapes, sizes, and colors, both literally and figuratively. He put on his earphones and played Fumes by Blaccmass. Soon, the auditorium filled up and the speaker walked onstage. Izuku gasped in recognition.

"It's Present Mic!"

"What's up, U.A. applicants??!! Can I get a 'Hell Yeah?!'" Silence filled the room. Izuku opened his mouth.

[Don't.]

"But, I-"

[No.]

"Spoilsport."

"Yeesh," said Present Mic. "Tough crowd. So I'm sure all of you are excited for the physical part of the test and I'll bet y'all can't wait to show off your skills. In that case, this is a basic rundown of the physical test. After you finish your written test, you'll receive your ticket to one of the battle centers, where you'll be fighting these."

He gestured toward a screen showing the silhouettes of 4 different robots. As Present Mic continued to explain the point system, Izuku and Scarab focused on making a game plan for the test.

"I think we should go Vendetta Leon Kennedy style, let them come to us, then attack."

[Nah, I say Deadpool style, guns blazing, blades swinging, jokes cracking.]

"Good idea, but we gotta leave something for the other kids. Also, we watch too many movies."

[First off, fuck them kids! We gotta get a high score! And second, we haven't watched enough.]

Izuku rolled his eyes as he began his written test. He finished quickly and turned in his test to Present Mic.

"Woah, you're done already," the Vocal Hero said. "Here's your battle ticket. You can change in the locker room."

An hour later, Izuku stood in front of Battle Center B, wearing a dark blue athletic tank and Black shorts. He, like the other students, was stretching and cracking his joints.

[Alright, alright, alright] Scarab said, encouragingly. [Today we're gonna strike hard, strike fast, and show no mercy! You hear me, boy???]

"Isn't that from Cobra Kai?"

[QUIET!]

"You know, Scarab, you seem more energetic than usual."

[What's your point?]

"Nothing. I just like this side of you."

[Hey, buddy, flirt on your own time. We got work to do.]

"Ugh, you're so annoying," Izuku groaned.

[Aww, I love you too.]

"Alright applicants," Present Mic said through an intercom. "You each have 10 minutes to accumulate as many villain points as you can."

"Scarab," Izuku said with a focused smile. "Cue the music."

The bay doors opened to reveal a large cityscape. Izuku took notice of the skyscrapers and the large street ahead of him. His earphones began to play Really Doe by Nitin Randhawa.

"The test shall begin in 3...2...1...GO!" Izuku took off, putting some distance between him and the other kids. As he ran, he activated his exoskeleton's foot boosters. His eyes focused on a cluster of robots in front of him, who took notice of the human running toward them.

TARGET LOCKED, they all said.

He jumped, using small boosts to gain some height. He changed his hands into hammers and killed the boosters, bringing him down on a 3-pointer. He flipped off the downed robot, quickly switching to his blades, slicing a 1-pointer. He jumped up, activating his wings and grappling hooks. He fired both hooks at a large hunk of metal and swung it at a group of charging robots, destroying them and gaining some points. By this time, the other applicants had caught up to him and Izuku had gained 23 points. He smiled, then activated his blasters as he flew through the city, firing on the various robots.

In a separate room, Present Mic sat with a group of teachers and Principal Nezu, all of whom were watching the physical test unfold.

"Interesting group of applicants this year," said Vlad King.

"I agree," Nezu said.

The faculty watched several screens, each showing various students taking on the robots. They saw Bakugou grinning maniacally as he stood over a fallen bot. They saw a blue-haired boy placing powerful kicks through a 2-pointer. An orange haired girl with big hands smashing a group of 1-pointers.

Then their eyes fell on the screen showing Izuku, who was smashing a group of robots with spiked bolas where his hands should be.

"Who is that?" Aizawa asked. Nezu quickly brought up the green-haired boy's file.

"Izuku Midoriya, age fifteen, from Aldera Middle School. Hmmm."

Present Mic looked at the animal-man hybrid. "Something wrong, Nezu?"

"His file says he's Quirkless."

Confusion spread onto the faces of everyone, except for Nezu, who registered surprise, and All Might, who registered shock and recognition. They looked at the screen as Izuku formed a shield on his left hand, blocking an attack from a 3-pointer. He pushed the robot off him and spun, activating his blade, cutting into its midsection. Then he flew back, shifting his hands to blasters and fired two shots, knocking its upper body clean off.

"He doesn't look Quirkless to me," Vlad King said. "Maybe the file is wrong."

"No," All Might said, solemnly. "The file is correct. He is Quirkless."

"Toshinori," Nezu said. "Is something wrong?"

"The boy, Izuku. I met him ten months ago. But he was Quirkless. The power he's using is similar to a former Pro Hero I worked with in America."

The rest of the teachers hummed in interest.

"Well, Quirk or no Quirk," Nezu said, reaching for a red button. "He still has to pass the test."

Izuku brought his spiked bolas on a 1-pointer.

[Pretty good performance] Scarab said as Izuku deactivated his weapons. [Didn't expect you to eviscerate that 2-pointer like that.]

Izuku chuckled. "I guess I can chill for now, at least until the-"

He stopped as he bumped into a tall, bespectacled boy with dark blue hair. "Hey!"

"Sorry!"

"Watch where you're going," the boy said angrily. "Are you trying to sabotage my chances for passing?"

"What, no," Izuku replied. "It was an accident, I swear! Just calm down-"

Izuku was interrupted by a loud booming noise. The ground began to shake.

"What was that?" The blue-haired teen looked around.

[Too small for an earthquake.]

The ground began to shake again. Then a large shadow loomed over the cityscape. Izuku looked up to see the Zero-pointer.

["Oh shit!!!!"] Scarab and Izuku said in unison.

The other students began to beeline for the entrance. Izuku and the blue-haired boy began to turn when they heard an "Ow." They both saw a girl trapped under a large hunk of metal.

"Hey, what's your name?" Izuku asked the blue-haired boy.

"Tenya Iida."

"Ok, Iida, I'm Izuku Midoriya. I need your help getting her out." Iida nodded and the two made their way to the trapped girl. Izuku activated his wings and grappling hooks.

"Iida, I'll lift this up, you pull her out."

"Got it." Iida kneeled in front of the girl, a pink-cheeked brunette.

"Are you ok, miss?"

"My ankle," she cried. "I think it's broken!" "Ok, don't worry, we'll get you out. Midoriya, are you ready?"

"On three!" Izuku was flying, his hooks attached to the metal slab. "One, two, three!"

Izuku lifted with all his might, pulling the slab up as Iida pulled the girl out.

"She's out!" Izuku dropped the metal and powered down.

"Midoriya," Iida said. "I'll take her to the entrance."

"Ok, thanks, Iida!"

Iida picked up the girl, bridal style. As he began to walk away, he noticed that Izuku was facing toward the Zero-pointer. "Midoriya," Iida said. "Aren't you coming?" "Yeah," Izuku replied. "In a minute. There's something I gotta do."

"And what is that?"

"Less than two minutes left!" yelled Present Mic.

Izuku activated his wings and said, "Take down the Zero-pointer." He blasted off before Iida could say anything.

[Hey, Izuku, this is your friend, the Scarab. Just a quick question for you. ARE YOU INSANE???]

"Well, let's see," Izuku mused. "I'm on my way to fight a large robot that could possibly kill me and the last thing I'll hear is the voice that's been in my head for the last ten months."

[Well, that answers my question. Let's go, ya maniac!]

His earphones began to play You Say Run.

Izuku activated his blasters and began firing, screaming, "WOOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!"

The energy blasts were doing some damage but it wasn't enough.

Meanwhile, in the conference room, the faculty watched in utter surprise as Izuku did battle against the Zero-pointer.

"This kid is crazy!" Vlad King yelled.

"He's very bold," Midnight said with a smirk. "It's enough to turn me on."

"Anything's enough to turn you on," Aizawa said stoically, earning a glare from the R-Rated Heroine. "Nezu, I'm not sure about this."

Nezu turned to look at the underground hero.

"Why not? He seems to be Class 1-A material. Good battle tactics, amazing combat skills, and a willingness to work with others. I think he'll be fine."

"Young Midoriya," All Might thought. "Maybe I was too hasty in telling you to give up."

"The blasters aren't working!" Izuku flew back, dodging a swing from the metal behemoth. "I think this calls for an extreme circumstance!"

[Really, you sure about that?]

Izuku quickly flashbacked to his training.

[You've spent your entire life holding back. Now it's time to let loose!]

Izuku was in his hideout, sweating and breathing hard.

[This next move is very dangerous. So dangerous I shouldn't be teaching it to you. But you're smart, so I should only have to say this once. Don't use this move unless it's under extreme circumstances, got it?]

Izuku clasped his hands together and stretched them towards the Zero-pointer. A blue light glowed as he created the Ultra Blaster, aiming it straight at the head of the robot.

"You're right, Scarab. I have been holding back. From now on, I'm letting nothing stop me from being a Hero. Not Bakugou, not All Might, and definitely not you, Zero-pointer."

The barrel glowed bright blue as it charged up. Izuku let loose a loud roar as he fired a beam of pure, unadulterated destruction at the large robot, hitting it right between its eyes. Sparks flew as the mountainous robot teetered back and forth until it fell back slowly to the ground. Izuku flew down, then righted himself, hovering over the ground until he powered down completely and landed on his feet, huffing hard.

"That was crazy."

[I know. Makes you wanna do it again, huh?]

"You can do that, I need some rest." Scarab laughed.

It had been three days since the Entrance Exam. Izuku wasn't worried, he knew his score would be high. He spent the next three days relaxing, only doing some light training per Scarab's request.

Then the day came when his mother was frantically knocking at his door.

"Izuku, it's here!!!!"

He came out of his room and she handed him an envelope.

"Thanks, mom," he said. "You wanna watch it with me?"

"No, I'll just wait out here."

"You sure?"

"Son, this is your moment. I'll wait."

He nodded and closed the door. He opened the envelope, which contained a small disc.

[Hell of an acceptance letter.]

Izuku dropped the disc on his desk and it began to glow.

"I AM HERE AS A PROJECTION!"

["All Might?"]

"What's he doing here?"

"You're probably wondering what I'm doing here," All Might continued. "I am now working amongst the teaching staff here at U.A."

"Oh, wow."

"Izuku Midoriya, congratulations on your performance in the Entrance Exam," All Might said, as the screen cut to a highlight reel of Izuku's performance. "Your skills were enough to bring your score to 96 points. But that's not all the test was scored on."

The screen cut to a shot of Izuku and Iida helping the brunette out of the rubble. "Because you helped someone in need, you also received 35 Rescue Points, bringing your total to 131 points, making you the number one ranked student!"

Izuku's eyes widened as a scoreboard appeared, ranking the performances of all the students and as reported, his name was ranked at number one, right above Bakugou.

[That's my boy! Yeah yeah!]

"Izuku Midoriya, you have been accepted into U.A. High School. Congratulations, this is your Hero Academia!"

[That's what I'm talking about! That's my boy!] Izuku smiled as the disc turned off. [Izuku, you ok?]

Izuku was silent as he stood up, walked out of his room, and pulled his mother into a hug.

"We did it, Mom."

Both mother and son hugged each other, cried, and basked in the glow of acceptance.

Madhouse vibes forever.
