'That was no dream.'
Yugi stared at the closed doors of the Kame Game Shop, unsure if the voice in his head was his own, or the other one.
"Yugi?" A woman asked.
His hand still pressed against the door, he turned to look at one of Solomon's neighbors. A middle-aged woman named Kurenai. "Do you...?"
"He wanted me to tell you that he was okay, but..." She shook her head, black locks flowing. "He was admitted to the hospital late last night. It's the same one he's told you about for his doctor's appointments."
Yugi bowed for once in his short life, and took off running. Someone whispered a name in his head, but he couldn't be sure who. He needed to be sure: 'Pegasus.'
He left the hospital as angry and confused as he was when he entered. Solomon was not allowed to be seen by visitors unless they were family members, or had some form of legal power over him when he wasn't able to represent himself. He stuffed his hands into his pockets, feeling jittery. It felt like otherwise most days, but Solomon wasn't actually his grandfather. Sitting in the waiting room was suffocating. He told them he'd be back, and he left.
He stepped into a studio off the track to his home, and waved to Nikki, one of the students here. "Can I use the back?"
Nikki had short black hair styled in a halo of reverse curls. She smiled a soft smile that accentuated her pink lips and dimples. "Of course. I'll let Madam Shiva know. Is everything okay?"
"No, but I'll make it so. Thanks." He walked to the back, barely able to restrain himself from throwing his bag across the room. Instead he dropped it in the back next to his locker.
'Pegasus.' The voice in his head spoke to him while he rummaged through the locker. He changed his clothes into sweatpants and a t-shirt. He had to learn to sew early on, because everything meant for teenagers was too big for him and everything for kids was childish or just the right amount of too small that he couldn't wear it.
"What did he do to him?" Yugi shoved his bag into his locker and slammed it.
'I don't know.'
"You let me fucking know Ushio was gunning for me. You stopped me after he passed out. What the fuck did Pegasus do to Solomon?" Yugi clenched his fists. Strange he could almost hear the gears turning in a brain that wasn't his own. He shook his head and sighed, "Sorry."
'It is alright. I am upset as well.'
Yugi stepped out and moved a leg out into a slide before the door had the chance to close behind him. A series of movements followed as though he flowed like water.
'What are you doing?'
'Dancing. Break dancing.' He shifted his arms. 'An acrobatic, energetic form of dance usually paired with hip hop.'
'You are very good.'
"Hm." He continued dancing. The voice continued thinking. Tea would be proud.
She figured out he was here within the hour. She stepped in the room, dropped her things in her own locker, took her time stretching and joined in seamlessly with her own moves. Moves that were much different than Yugi's.
'What is she doing?' The voice asked Yugi.
'Ballet. Another form of dance often paired with classical music or themes.'
Tea twirled around him as he dropped to the floor. "I figured out something interesting."
"What?"
Tea and the others didn't remember Yugi ever receiving a package yesterday, but that didn't mean she wouldn't know anything useful.
"I spoke to Bakura today. He heard from his sister, Amane, that Gozaburo Kaiba is partaking in business meetings with Maximillion Pegasus." Tea dropped into a split and leaned forward as she ran her fingers down her forward leg. "That's probably why Seto wasn't in school."
"I love you." Yugi gasped, hugging her tightly.
Tea giggled, "You're welcome."
"Kaiba Corp and Industrial Illusions are two different companies in two different fields. I don't know how I'm gonna make a connection between the two, but thank you."
'Every mystery is just another puzzle waiting to be solved.'
"So what's the deal, Yugi? The last time you danced this set, your parents accidentally locked you in the coat closet after getting their own coats, forgot you existed and then got mad at you when they received calls from the school that you were skipping." Tea frowned.
Yugi shook his head. She started teaching him to dance because shouting and hitting wasn't doing him any good. He wasn't any good at ballet unfortunately. He dropped to the floor again. "Solomon's in the hospital. This is gonna sound nuts, but I swear Pegasus and that videotape had something to do with it."
Tea swallowed, and took a moment to think. She shifted so she was sitting more comfortably. "So we're taking on a multi-million dollar gaming business for an assault we currently can't really prove? No pressure."
Yugi could have kissed her, but he reconsidered. Tea taught him the pirouette he used to knock down Joey and Tristan weeks back. 'It's all in how you move your leg.', she told him.
