The night after the accident, Amane comes home. Ryou doesn't ask why she's standing beside his bed, when she's supposed to be in a coma; or why there's a moonbeam shining straight through her, right where her heart should be. He doesn't want to know the answers.
She crawls into his bed, and the sheets don't wrinkle undeneath her. Ryou reaches for the curtain of the window beside his bed, and pulls it shut. He doesn't like seeing the outline of the bed through her body.
When she leans over to kiss him goodnight, he shuts his eyes and pretends he can feel her lips against his forehead.
