Percy POV

My first thoughts when I woke up?

Ouch.

My legs felt like heavy blocks of lead. My chest felt it had been crushed under a school bus. Every time I moved my head, my neck screamed in pain and my head felt someone had opened it, dumped a whole lot of rocks in it and screwed it shut. I hope that isn't the case.

But, I did go for Grovers Survival Lessons. So I did what he had drilled into my head. I inspected my surroundings.

The good news was, I was in a magnificent king-sized bed in a breathtaking room. Bad news? My hands and legs were tied to the bed with white, silk ropes. I tugged at them. Damn. They won't come off.

But that's not all. I have even worse news. Now you might be wondering "Percy, you are already tied to a humongous bed in an unknown place. What could be worse?" Sorry to disappoint you, but that the life of a demigod. You have very little good news, a whole lot of bad news and a truckload of even worse news.

I looked up I see piercing golden eyes staring back at me. Golden eyes? Holy Hephaestus. It was a...

"Titan!" I shrieked. Whoops, not very dignified. Too late for that now. It was Hyperion. He was grinning at me with dazzling white teeth, muscular arms and such perfect 8 pack abs. Boy, break me a piece of that Kit Kat bar!

I blush despite myself. "Get it together Percy!" The little voice in my brain yelled. Then I hear a growl from behind him. The growl suspiciously sounded more human than animal. Curious, I turned around.

To my horror, it was Kronos. Lord of time. The guy I had sent back to Tartarus on my 16th birthday. The titan who had possessed Luke's body. But now I could see him in his actual form, without depending on a hapless demigods body. But this meant that he was at full power. Last time, it was only because of Annabeth that I was able to defeat him. Now Annabeth is not here. My Wise Girl is not here.

No, I can't think of her now. I can get out of this, I thought confidently. I don't need her.

The only reason I know it was Kronos because of his gorgeous gold eyes, pools of molten gold if I fell in, I would never be able to escape.

Woah, Woah. Where did that come from? Argh, stupid ADHD brain.

Hyperion hurriedly mutters an apology to Kronos for some reason and then leaves the room quickly, leaving me and Kronos alone. Kronos slowly walks over to me and with a wave of his hand, the bonds tying me to the bed vanish. As soon as I was free, I scuttled back away from him in fear. Upon seeing that, a sneer appeared on Kronos's face.

"I saved your life, the least you could do is say thank you, you ungrateful brat!" He barked at me. Upon hearing that, I became shocked. Did he save me? Why?

Then I realise what else he says. I said coldly, anger laced in my words. "If my memory serves me correctly, the last time we met, you wanted to kill me. So perhaps, you could say sorry you crazy monster!" I jabbed a finger at him accusingly.

Kronos scrutinised me, his smouldering gold eyes never leaving me for a second. For a moment, we sit like that in deadly silence. I didn't know what he was going to do to me.

Did he want to kill me? No, he could have done that earlier.

He saved me. Why did he do that? Maybe he wants me alive and conscious so that he can then kill me in his gruesome way. That sorta makes sense.

Kronos then opens his mouth. Wait, he isn't going to, is he? My heart hammered inside my chest. I was scared. I didn't want to die all alone, a loser with no friends, a heartbroken boy. But what Kronos said next baffled me.

"You truly are the one aren't you?" The corners of his lips rose slightly into a small smile. He then flashed out of the room. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding in relief. He wasn't going to kill me. But the thing he said, what did he mean? What was he going to do to me?

No! I need answers. What did he mean by "the one"? Why did he call me "the one"?

I immediately scrambled out of bed and looked around. I was all alone in the giant room. No, he can't leave me like this. He can't!

I shouted at the walls of the now empty room. "Wait! Wait! What do you mean " the one"? Kronos, come back here right now!". The walls said nothing. I felt exhausted after yelling at the top of my lungs. I slumped onto the bed, tired and lonely. Then, I hear a voice, coming from all around me. The voice was that of Kronos. I shuddered, not knowing whether it was because of the cool air in the room or my fear.

"You will see. Soon, my ungrateful brat. Soon."

He chuckles coldly and my temper flares. Thank you, Kronos for proving my point of you being a crazy monster.

I curled up in the bed, hugging my knees to my chest, feeling even more lonely. The room felt like a prison, the walls, tall and imposing. I tried not to focus on my room and closed my eyes. Then memories of the betrayal washed
