Shot 2b

AN: Version 1 of what happens after that lead up. Oof, can you even... that lead up was 13 pages, 10,000+ words... It's why it's a stand-alone in the short with-in these collection of shots, lol. Also, while it was never 100% Blaine's POV to begin with, just followed him in 3rd person with a little bit of insight into his thoughts, this shot will do the same but slowly shift to the other two, ok? Ok. :D (Same with the next one).

It really was 'Ladies Night' at Scandals but what that meant at the gay-club was only that they encouraged men to dress up as women icons. Blaine had known this, known that the dismal showing of attendees would keep Kurt's attention on him and Sebastian all night as the only viable options.

Even Blaine though wasn't prepared for those who showed up that night. He usually went to Scandals on Wednesdays and Saturdays since moving to Lima. He went more often than he was proud to admit, mostly because of the location rather than just attendance at a bar/club. He'd gone more in Westerville to the different options in Columbus before Kurt moved in to Dalton. He had to be a lot more careful then but he still went out.

In preparation for this, Blaine and Sebastian met up once more without Kurt. Sebastian produced the fakes that Blaine and Kurt would be using. Blaine groaned at the tacky names and ages. His real fake ID was far more believable, withstood far more scrutiny. "I get it's a gay bar in Lima but even the bouncer will have to have something to say about this. Sebastian, you haven't even been there."

"Yeah, yeah, it'll still pass. But look at Kurt's!" Sebastian laughed at what he'd produced, having a hand in every detail. Blaine cracked up too, seeing why Sebastian was particularly fond of it. It looked absolutely nothing like Kurt with a dark mustache and blond hair. The age made him 24 rather than 21 and Blaine's said he was 38 and the ID said Kurt was from Hawaii but it wasn't a driver's license, just a state ID. Considering, they'd planned on Kurt driving, it was just too precious. Kurt would have a field day with it too. They were both looking forward to Kurt's reaction to it.

Blaine pocketed the fakes until the day of, he didn't want Kurt to see them ahead of time. They were still a bit at odds and Blaine didn't know how to surpass that particular roadblock because he didn't know what it was. Still, he could see Kurt trying.

There were even a few times where he caught Kurt staring and making gestures with his fingers, flirting for the first time in a long time with him, hinting at something. But Blaine was determined that Kurt would make the first move.

It was at one of their 'scheduled make-out' sessions that week that promised that Blaine's plan might be working. He almost thought this night wouldn't be necessary at all with how the conversation started but then took a sharp left turn.

Blaine had been dancing in the room, while Kurt laid on his stomach, watching him. He looked contemplative at the same time as appreciative of Blaine's body moving around. Blaine could see the desire in Kurt's eyes and so kept moving, even as they talked.

Blaine was talking about music and appreciation of the artist when Kurt's first question came out of the blue. "Do you think I'm boring?"

Blaine did a little spin and bent forward toward Kurt with a little laugh. "Hell no." It's what kept him with Kurt despite repeatedly being cock-blocked by his own boyfriend.

"I mean like..." Kurt sat up with a huff of frustration. Getting closer to Blaine for all of a second with his guards down but then he moved back toward the head of the bed and drew up his knees, even his words hesitated as if forcing what he had to say out. It was a struggle for him and in a lot of ways, he was putting up new defenses. "sexually. We are playing it very safe by not granting our hands visas to travel south of the border."

Blaine's brows furrowed, trying to understand what Kurt was saying. He also had to pause to figure out what a virgin would say to his boyfriend bringing this up, despite it being exactly what Blaine wanted. He had given Kurt carte blanche to lead their sexual relationship in deference to what had brought Kurt to Dalton. He was beginning to really regret that. "Well yeah, but I thought that's what we wanted?" He was proud that his voice sounded unsure and supportive while his hands moved in sync as they passed by and put his hips and particularly the front of them, on show.

Kurt was very uncomfortable having this conversation and his tone was sharp when he responded to that feeling out of Kurt's position on the matter. "It is!" That was the most telling response Blaine could have gotten. "Haven't you ever had the urge to rip off each others' clothes and get dirty?"

It was so hard for Blaine not to control his reaction to that. "Uh, yeah." This was the most open they'd ever been about a sexual relationship and Blaine pushed it a bit further, a bit more detailed. "All the time, but that's why they invented masturbation."

And Kurt's reaction told him that it wasn't time for it, he wasn't ready, despite some of the hint dropping or bringing it up himself. He was feeling the need, the awakening but to actually go through with it was not something he was yet comfortable of discussing and would probably be less comfortable with the actual act. Was going to the bar the right move? Blaine was of two minds about it, but pushing Kurt during the conversation was not the right time, definitely. "Is it hot in here?"

Blaine sighed and joined him on the bed, setting about reassuring him without him once being the wiser that it frustrated him.

Maybe Kurt would be one of those people who would be more comfortable doing than talking about it, even after he'd done it several times or for years. Blaine was looking forward to finding out but it wasn't going to be tonight after all. But he was getting closer, he just need a little bigger push, just a little more over that edge he was teetering on.

The guy at the door spent far longer looking at Kurt's ID than he normally did and then at Kurt. "Aloha!" Kurt tried to dispel the tension of the hold up and offered a tentative smile but just ended up appearing as unsure as he felt.

He briefly glanced at Blaine's, he'd seen the guy come in often enough to not bother. "Ladies' Night." He said and opened the rope blocking their entrance. "Enjoy." Oh, he definitely hated his life.

Kurt for his part went in first and tried to appear confident and know what he was doing. Blaine just strolled in beside him. This was definitely a lot worse than most nights. He said something that wasn't altogether positive. He didn't really want Kurt to come here on his own and was trying to downplay the place even more. Kurt tried to be positive but his hands were giving him away along with his voice as he played with the ends of his bolo tie, keeping them busy and also in front of him. He pointed out some of the icons that were present. He stalled out on the redhead and Blaine's response on who it was supposed to be had broken that bravado as he agreed when he too saw it now.

Blaine second-guessed their decision to coming here tonight. He and Sebastian would have gotten him here no matter what, but Kurt was showing clear signs of discomfort. He just hoped Kurt wouldn't bolt early on. He and Sebastian still had a show to put on.

Sebastian sat at the bar, drink in hand and resting on his knee as he talked with the guy next to him. The older guy was leaning across the bar to speak with the bartender and then turned slightly, still draped over the bar to chat with Sebastian in return. He got his drink, paid and pulled away from the bar with one final comment between him and Sebastian which Sebastian nodded to. Blaine lifted a brow, that was not Sebastian's usual type... he was too old and biker-like. Still though, Sebastian had spent a year in France, maybe he missed the mid-American look. Or they were just talking, Sebastian was allowed to just talk to people without hitting on them or try to get in their pants.

Blaine internally chastised himself, he had to get used to Sebastian again. He was forgetting what it was like to be around Sebastian and some of it was rushing back. Yet they were both different than how they had been before Sebastian left. Things that used to roll right off Blaine irked him now. Sebastian's words seemed more cutting than they had before, but was it that he wasn't used to it or were they more cutting?

Sebastian definitely hadn't turned that bite onto him much, just the minimum that everyone got when Sebastian deemed they were being stupid. The way he talked to Kurt was far, far worse than anything Blaine had ever witnessed from the Lacrosse player before and he'd overheard some doozies before. He even tossed a few of those toward Santana but even they were mild compared to what he hit Kurt with.

Blaine would have to bring that up with him. He needed to tone that down a little, they needed some room to be able to come back from this. He also didn't like hearing the things Sebastian said to his boyfriend. He knew they were not how Sebastian really felt, but Kurt didn't know that. Kurt would retreat from Blaine's attentions if his confidence was hurt too much. They'd already seen it happen once. Insulting Kurt was not the plan, the plan was to try and steal Blaine.

Yet, if Sebastian insulted like that, there was no chance for Kurt to be seduced, even in the wake of Sebastian's attention on Blaine. Blaine hadn't said anything yet because of that reason alone. He wasn't sure if he should stop the dislike from forming between them. He wanted to keep Kurt to himself.

"I surely don't like that guy." Kurt said with a lot of apprehension when Sebastian caught sight of them and a grin slowly, sexily, crossed his features.

"He's harmless." Blaine tried to reassure but had remembered what that mouth on him was like and needed to reassure himself about that too. Sebastian was not what he wanted, the guy at his side was.

"I took it upon myself to order ahead for you. A beer for you Blaine, a Shirley Temple for you Kurt with extra cherries because I heard you're the designated driver, like always." The mocking was clear in his eyes and Blaine knew that one wasn't for show. Sebastian was judging him there.

It would have been easier for Blaine's plans too had Kurt ever loosened up with a drink or a hit of a different sort of MJ than which their Glee clubs were arguing over. Blaine had to use some of the edibles before he hung out with Kurt on occasion. He upped the dose if he had to spend time with two of them, any combination of Kurt, Santana, Rachel, Brittany or Sebastian. Sometimes they were just too much and he needed to take the edge off. He'd taken a few before Kurt picked him up tonight.

He would have preferred a different kind of party-drug but Kurt would freak. He'd probably have trouble with the edibles too, but at this point, that was pretty typical Blaine behavior so he wouldn't notice as much.

Kurt took the drink with a small frown. "You might too if the first time you drank you had to go to the hospital to have your stomach pumped."

Was it the drugs or had Kurt really said that? Blaine saw Sebastian's jaw drop, so it was real. "What was the story there?" Blaine hadn't heard about it, just knew that the ND took drinks out of Kurt's hand if they knew it was spiked and he didn't.

"As if I'd tell you, wannabe Disney Prince hair." Kurt rolled his eyes, his impromptu defense of his drinking habits had him backed into a corner and he borrowed Santana's insult. She had so many, she wouldn't even notice it was missing from her arsenal.

Sebastian just laughed while Blaine frowned deeply. "I'm sure that was supposed to offend, but I feel flattered. Disney Prince, huh? I've never been called anything so remotely romantic.

"I said your hair and it was a wanna-be cut anyway." Kurt snarked right back. Sebastian rolled his eyes in an over exaggerated motion to tell Kurt exactly how he felt about that retraction. Even though it was just a clarification.

It bothered Blaine though, because the only Disney associated male in all of Ohio had been and should always be him. Sebastian was moving in on his territory. The fact that Kurt hadn't thought of it himself, but just overhearing it from Santana, was not something Blaine could possibly know. Blaine felt his own jealousy slowly trickling in.

Blaine growled low in his throat, not heard over the music and took a long swallow of his drink. Him being jealous wasn't part of the plan. They needed to switch things up, quickly.

"Cheer up gentlemen, this is Ladies' Night, meaning Kurt gets all his drinks for free." Sebastian's eyes slid up and down Kurt's body a few times with a faint frown. "Though I'm surprised you didn't dress up for the occasion."

"Ok, just because you dress like a budget CW episode, doesn't mean you get to knock my clothing choices. I have an eye for fashion and I spring for designer." He looked over Sebastian in turn this time, a sneer crossing his lips at the bad green and white polo with popped collar. "Did you even deign to get that at the mall or were too cheap to even spend that much? Do you know how many shops are owned by the same fast-fashion peddler? This is just a cheap European knock-off made in China for under minimum wage. You have money, Meerkat, you should spring for the real thing at least. You give the entire gay community a bad name."

Blaine was also disappointed in the outfit, it did not scream money! Like so many of Sebastian's other outfits did. The jeans and shirt could be bought anywhere and was subpar even Kurt's opinion of Blaine shopping at the Gap, still. Sebastian could have bought a polo from England supporting a team at the very least.

Sebastian was laughing, he couldn't hold it back and had a wide grin as he did so. "Ok, fair, fair, sheath your claws. I only wore this because I didn't want to intimidate an eventual hookup. I wanted to appear like one of the masses and only rely on my fabulously good looks rather than flaunt my money."

Blaine knew he was quickly losing this situation. He downed the rest of his beer and ordered an Old Fashioned while they bantered and he thought up a next step to pull them off this new version of flirting they'd seemed to have found themselves in.

Kurt pff'd the response. "Yeah right, who'd dare go near you and your giant horse-teeth?" He might have already called Sebastian out on that, but it had seemed to hit hard last time and he used it again.

Sebastian's mouth pursed for a second, it was something that got at his ego still, before he showed off those horse-teeth in earnest. "Last time I was here, I met the man of my dreams on the dance floor." He tossed Kurt a sexy smirk. "Twenty minutes later, we broke up." He held Kurt's gaze, trying to drive that point home. The blush that followed from Kurt meant he'd hit his mark.

Some time Blaine would ask Sebastian if that was true.

Before Kurt could spit off a response, Sebastian was honing in on him, totally in the mood to squash him down onto the floor. "One of us has a bad luck case of RBF and it ain't me." His face was dangerously close to Kurt's and Blaine interfered before something could happen.

"Hey now, guys. We're here to have fun. Why don't we go dance or something? You like dancing, Kurt." He tried to urge, his hand slipping around Kurt's but Kurt pulled his out from Blaine's. That was not a jealous behavior of a boy trying to claim his possession on his boyfriend. That was anger, pure and simple. Damn it, Sebastian went too far again.

"You like dancing, can never seem to stop especially if there's a song playing, so go on." Kurt hissed at his boyfriend and popped off his seat. "I'm going to go to the bathroom. I'll be back."

He disappeared to Sebastian laughing, obviously thinking he'd won and Kurt was going off to regroup. Blaine whirled on Sebastian. "Not funny, Bas. Remember the point of all of this isn't to get him to break up with me because of my association with you. It's to get him to get jealous to the point that he wants to make this commitment even deeper!" Blaine's voice carried over the backs of those at the bar but he couldn't decide if he knew any of them and he didn't care. He did miss the one guy's back tightening, not liking what he just heard.

"Fine, fine, I'll play nice." Sebastian gave a small shrug, his eyes in the direction of the bathroom. "Won't apologize either. He's fun to rile, he gets just a small amount of pink on his cheeks and his left eyebrow lowers just a bit when he thinks he's chambered a really good insult and is readying to launch it."

Blaine had never noticed, had watched Kurt insult many people but had not seen that. Any of it, actually. Just knew when Kurt's right eyebrow rose it meant that he was about to lay into Blaine because he was annoyed and angry with him. It didn't happen often, but he'd seen it enough to be wary of it.

They looked at each other and Sebastian shrugged. "Dance?"

"Yeah." Blaine and Sebastian headed out onto the dance floor. They were pretty much the only people on the floor, except Ginger. They didn't touch, didn't get too close, just kind of bobbed and weaved to the music. They were both Glee boys from Dalton and so did a few ball and chain steps and hook turns. The song was a really old one and not exactly their style.

Before Kurt returned, Blaine had downed two more drinks. It was doing wonders, mixing with his edibles earlier tonight. He was not minding the fact that the floor was sticky or lacking bodies. Somehow he still looked presentable by the time Kurt got back. Sebastian had wondered if someone should check on him but Blaine waved it off.

Kurt went back to the bar and ordered a water. He was waiting for the drink when the occupant to his right surprised him. "You should watch out for your boyfriend."

Kurt had been watching him, and Sebastian out on the dance floor. They danced like old friends, comfortable but not intimate. Blaine hadn't even noticed him come back at first. Then Sebastian had slipped behind him, his mouth next to Blaine's ear and Blaine leaned back against his 'friend' eyes closed and looking incredibly turned on. They spun around a few times and when Blaine's eyes opened, he caught Kurt's gaze, eyes warm and inviting and gestured for Kurt to come out and join them. Kurt gestured he would, soon, but with Dave's presence, it might be a little longer before he headed out there than planned. At least it kept Blaine from thinking it would be an instantaneous arrival on the floor.

He turned his back to the two out there. He wasn't actually all that worried about Sebastian, for whatever reason. There was just... something... that Kurt couldn't piece together about the taller boy. He got under Kurt's skin, that was for sure, but he wasn't actually all that worried about losing his boyfriend to him. It had made him question whether or not Kurt was enough for Blaine though. It had unsettled him, their friendship.

Kurt had been attempting to tell Blaine he was ready for something more than they were doing but it was falling on deaf ears. Then came in the newest Warbler captain and all those feelings bubbled to the surface, unfulfilled, wanting. He'd brought it up to Blaine, concerned that they were able to mute their urges so easily. He knew he wanted to feel what everyone else described but hadn't felt that unrelenting need. There was want, of course, Blaine was very attractive and he'd been a fantastic boyfriend in many ways but it wasn't rip clothes off and damn the consequences need.

He was sure sexual interaction with Blaine would be nice. He was sure he'd be content afterward but it wasn't anything like the others described. He knew they loved each other, but after a couple of months with Blaine, they'd settled into a pattern and even their makeout sessions had left him wanting more, but not from Blaine.

Kurt had been confounded by the headscratcher. When he first met Blaine, he was drawing their names together within hearts, had likened them to Harry and Sally. Had yearned for Blaine's touch and mouth on his. He hadn't known when that subsided, had only realized it recently. He'd just been going through the motions with Blaine.

Something about Sebastian in their lives kicked Kurt's blood pressure up in his veins. It made his breath come quicker and heart pound. Those mocking jade eyes followed him even when he wasn't around and made him so... so... vexed.

Blaine had peppered him with questions following the MJ trip to Dalton. Kurt hadn't had any words for him. He hadn't even been angry with Blaine, just resigned. He still loved the former Warbler, he did, but the feelings around that love had... shifted. He was still trying to figure it out, redefine it. He didn't want to break up with Blaine until he knew that was the right step, once he had figured out what his new feelings were. Maybe it was just the settled feelings people talked about after years of marriage? He was so new to this relationship thing and Blaine had transferred for him, no matter what he said to the contrary.

Something else had changed though too. Sebastian came across him and Santana at the Lima Bean and let slip that they were basically stealing MJ for their Regionals playlist against teams that didn't include the ND while they did the same thing against their own competition for Regionals. Sebastian's fingers hand brushed along the back of Kurt's neck under the disguise of going to rest on the back of the couch. He leaned over Kurt, white teeth flashing, green eyes challenging him in other ways that had nothing to do with what they were talking about.

"Yo, Criminal Chipmunk, do you have a reason to slobber all over him or are you just not trained to breath through your nose? Do I have to send you to reform school or is Gay Hogwarts going to beat it into you? They're good at that, you know."

Sebastian's head twisted toward Santana as if seeing her for the first time. "What?" His flabbergasted response was not because he couldn't keep up but because he had absolutely no idea what she was really saying. He got the general gist though, but was unable to reconcile it with what he knew about the school. He wasn't particularly versed in Santana yet, Santana who was some strange mix between Kurt and Brittany and could translate for the rest of them if she felt like it.

"Let me break this down for you, bitch to bitch. That school is going to keep it's hands off of my flaming peacock from now on. It's already done a number on him, and it's not going to get away with doing more. We got him back and it's taken time to undo some of the damage you and the rest of the cadets for sheepdom have done."

Sebastian's mouth twisted. "All we've done is thrown out the blue-collared trash back to the dump it belongs in rather than muddy our halls."

"Yeah? But you've miscounted and given us a giant turd along with it, take him back to his land of pixies, please."

"Been trying to." Sebastian tossed right back. "But there are some hooks keeping him here. I'm trying to trim those claws so he isn't stuck here anymore."

Kurt shook his head and gave Santana a look before turning to Sebastian, which brought his face even closer to Sebastian's. "Look, Loki, what is your problem? Blaine's not even here, so why darken our doorstep?"

"I was going to find him to thank him for helping me get red wine stains out of my white dress shirt." Sebastian knew it was time to drop the information that Blaine and him had agreed on. Blaine didn't want to do MJ for Regionals.

"Are you sure it wasn't blood after you retracted your fangs from your victim's neck?" Kurt asked dryly and was close enough to see a dimple form as Sebastian smirked, acknowledging that barb as a good one.

"He couldn't seem to stop talking, seeming pretty bereft of the ability when someone else has a mouth that doesn't know how to shut itself." Sebastian's eyes swept to Kurt, even though he wasn't speaking now. "Told me all about this week's Glee project, you know, Michael isn't meant for peons like you." Sebastian gave a small shrug. "Maybe we'll have to show you how it's done?" His breath glossed over Kurt's face and he felt a shiver go through him, but it wasn't a bad shiver.

Sebastian's fingers dragged back across Kurt's neck as he lifted his hand, brushing behind his ear and then the back of his ear itself as he stood. Goosebumps broke out across all of Kurt's skin at the touch, his entire body igniting with tingling nerve endings. He breathed in sharply and Sebastian's jade eyes attached to Kurt's.

"No, no, no! One spy from another school was enough. I will not allow three!" Santana roared out of nowhere.

"No one is spying, I was given the information freely." Sebastian turned his attention reluctantly to Santana. "He was more than happy to delve it to me."

"I'm itching to kick someone right in their Warblers, if you want it to be you, I'm more than happy to grant you your deepest wishes."

"Yeah, yeah, calm yourself Sha-queera." Sebastian gave her a dismissive hand motion.

"Get your sorry leprechaun butt out of my sight." Santana started to rise. Sebastian gave her a haunty salute and strolled casually out of the coffee shop.

Kurt looked to Santana. "We're not going to let this lie, are we?" He sounded more torn down by the prospect than looking for revenge. Santana's dark brown eyes flashed fire and Kurt knew he had given her the wrong reaction, this would only motivate her more. He was just so tired of always fighting.

He had totally started out the wrong way with Sebastian. Acting possessive over Blaine had been a mistake. For one, it had only been born out of what he thought he was supposed to do. For another, that had only motivated Sebastian to attack him and offered a challenge that Sebastian was not backing away from any time soon. He should have just been polite. When would he learn to stop being so defensive first? At the time, he still thought there was something worth fighting for.

Blaine's practical dismissal of importance to him had only started then and begun to grow as the time went on. Blaine refused to acknowledge Kurt's concerns over it, in fact going against his wishes to spend more time with Sebastian even though the original reason no longer held valid. Even worse, he saw of Sebastian treated Kurt and he didn't do anything to stop it. Not in the moment and not by withholding his friendship until Sebastian promised to treat his boyfriend better.

He didn't matter to Blaine. Blaine didn't care about him. When had that become true? It kind of hurt, maybe not as much as it should, but more than he thought it would. He had thought they were friends at the bare minimum. Blaine had been the first to claim love, but where was that love when Sebastian tried to tear Kurt down to pieces? To reduce him to nothing?

Kurt couldn't let it stand, he had to fight back, but the fights drained him. Drained him more than the fights with Rachel or Santana ever had. He even felt badly for his words afterward but couldn't seem to stop himself from compounding it the next time Sebastian came in for an attack.

And what had been up with his reaction to Sebastian's touch at the Lima Bean? It was the first and only time Sebastian had touched him. The subsequent trip to Dalton, he'd still been in a state of confusion over that. Even when he'd first started up with Blaine, he hadn't felt that. He'd felt warmth and desire, yes, but not that. Sebastian's song and dance, meant to piss him off, just had him watching the Warbler with confused eyes. That final move and sound had pulled a gasp from him at how he'd found it hot? Santana had drug a response out of him in keeping with how he normally interacted with Sebastian.

Kurt decided over the time between that visit and the next time he saw Sebastian, that he'd put it from his mind and continue to treat Sebastian the same way he always had and declare that day a fluke. Blaine was his boyfriend and they were just having problems right now, it's why his attention had been pulled. Sebastian was objectively sexy but Kurt wouldn't be tricked by it.

Other than Blaine's actions on the dance floor today, Blaine hadn't seemed particularly moved by Sebastian's flirting either. It was so stupid, the one being affected by Sebastian was the guy he hated and hated him in return. Yet, what was with that touch? Why would he touch him not just once but twice? Once could have been an accident but the second time was definitely deliberate. Blaine wasn't there, so what was he playing at? Was he that much of a slut that if there was a gay guy in the room, he had to be hitting on it?

Sebastian's comments today about his last visit to Scandals seemed to lend that credence. Santana had thought the same thing once Sebastian had left. She'd offered up a suggestion that included branding Sebastian with a tramp stamp that said 'congratulations, you're my 1,000th customer'. Kurt had shot that one down because it would only be good for a one time only joke and then be outdated. Santana had laughed like a banshee and then suggested the stamp to read 'tips appreciated'.

It had been Kurt's turn to laugh but it felt hollow to his own ears. He felt like she started watching him a lot closer after that, but he wasn't any more interesting than he already was, so he didn't know what she could possibly see to keep her attention.

If she'd been out with them tonight, she may have seen something entertaining, at least. Though if she had been out with them tonight, the entire thing would have gone very differently. They probably wouldn't have been there at all, actually. Or she'd have booted Sebastian to the far corner and shouted in Blaine's ear for even thinking about dancing with the Warbler from Hell.

Kurt chuckled to himself lightly, Sebastian hadn't even really done anything that the McKinley kids didn't do to each other all the time. So he pushed Santana or mocked flirted with her during a song, had they been in Lima, she'd have broken his kneecaps. Insulting Kurt to the point of it being incredibly painful was also something common place, daily, actually, especially by her. The insults directed his way though were not nearly as bad as the ones she sent to Rachel. Yet even the insults directed toward Rachel was nowhere near the viciousness and relenting nature of the ones toward Finn.

He didn't even know what Finn did to her to deserve that.

So Kurt worked to ignore the two boys dancing on the floor and turned toward Karofsky. "Do you come here often?"

Karofsky laughed a little at the pick up line coming from Kurt's mouth with nothing but sincerity in it. "Do that and you'll have guys knocking at the invisible shield you've put up."

Confusion crossed Kurt's face. "What?"

Karofsky glanced back at the boys on the dance floor. When Kurt wasn't looking, they were both looking at him, when Kurt looked, it was just Blaine. "I suppose you already have been reaping those kinds of rewards." Karofsky's face was so much kinder and softer than it had ever been while he was at McKinley.

Kurt turned back to him fully and sipped on his water. "You look good."

Karofsky didn't misunderstand. "Thank you. I feel better. I have this place, where they're nice to me and I'm getting through Senior year without rumors spreading about my sexual orientation." Karofsky gave a small chuckle. "They call me bear-cub here."

"Because you look like Yogi?" Kurt genuinely didn't know, he'd hadn't spent time on the internet looking any of it up. The one time he had even searched it in his 'private' browser, he'd gotten so much S&D stuff that he had sworn off looking again. He was going to figure out himself and not let himself determine if he fit a stereotype, he would just be.

Karofsky let out another small laugh. "Because I'm burly, I think, or something." His eyes twinkled. "You know, now that you're not screeching at me in the halls, I can appreciate your particular brand of being." At Kurt's scowl, he shook his head. "I mean, you're kind of sweet. I always thought you were some kind of stuck up bitch judging all of us. In truth, you're just trying to sort things out yourself, aren't you? You never really had someone to compare notes to growing up. I should have been that for you, I certainly needed it. I had the benefit of seeing you prance around and knew what not to do." He laughed again as Kurt's face turned sour. "I get now that we'd never have been treated quite the same way as each other, even if I did exactly what you did."

Kurt sent him a cold look. "And I see that your rudeness wasn't just because you were closeted." Kurt attempted to push away from the bar, drink in hand. He was going to see if he couldn't get Blaine to finish it. When Karofsky's fingers linked around his wrist, he was frozen to the spot. "Dave-."

"No, I'm sorry. I have never been good at saying what I mean when I talk to you." Karofsky sighed. "You're not the easiest to talk to, to start with, and then I get all tongue tied and say the wrong things. Have you ever had that?"

Kurt had, and his eyes flickered over the popped collar of one Sebastian Smythe. However, if Sebastian wasn't constantly forcing insults down Kurt's throat, then maybe he would be able to say the right things to the jaded boy. At the very least, he would be able to be his impeccably polite self.

"See... even that came out wrong, it's not what I meant. Kurt-."

"Let me save you the trouble. I get it. My dad's told me something similar on occasion and while he's not exactly the most eloquent or able to say what he means all the time either or without offending me greatly, I've understood. I understand you too, so please stop digging and -." He shook his hand and Karofsky released his grasp. Kurt started feeling better and could breath a bit more. He hadn't held on tightly and it hadn't hurt, he probably could have broken free of the hold, but then Karofsky may have tightened his hand at the attempt. "So school is going well?"

"They don't know, is that something you'll judge me for?" Karofsky asked with a flicker of his eyes over Kurt. Kurt withheld wrapping his arms across his chest to hide. He was at a gay bar/club, after all, guys were going to look. They were supposed to be free here to do so, look but not touch.

"No... no, not at all, as long as you aren't beating someone up."

"I'm just trying to get through high school, but yeah, I've stopped taking it out on the undeserving... I've got a bit of a protection in that, since I'm new. I can refrain since it hasn't been building up over years but also they try to convince me who I'm supposed to be and what I'm supposed to do. I keep to myself there pretty well though. Not many people mess with me or even try."

Kurt got it and he gave a small nod, hoping that meant that Karofsky hadn't hurt anyone. "Are you seeing anyone?" Another flicker of eyes over his form and Kurt shook his head. "I mean on a regular basis."

"Unfortunately I find myself thinking about the same person all the time and found that I am unable to like more than one guy at once."

"I really hope you're not talking about me." Kurt shifted, getting ready to bolt from the bar.

"Why not? You're obviously no longer with the hobbit." He knew that wasn't true, had overheard what Kurt hadn't, but wanting to plant the notion.

Kurt opened his mouth and then closed it with an audible clack of his teeth. There... might be some truth in that. Blaine was off the dance floor and was signaling for another drink before turning to the guy next to him and talking. Sebastian gave a small shrug when it would be awhile before his dance partner was back. He just did some intricate footwork as he spun and danced by himself on the floor. Blaine hadn't even come next to Kurt to order, probably forgetting all about him being there. Blaine was laughing with his newest 'friend'.

He took his drink from the bartender but still didn't leave or seek out either of the guys he came here with. It was only after he finished his drink did he rejoin Sebastian on the dance floor and look over to Kurt enticingly, not expecting Kurt to have seen any of that.

Kurt wished his drink was stronger, at least a soda or something, as he swallowed a long pull from his glass. Still just water. He shook his head at Karofsky. "My life is already complicated enough, you don't want to get into the middle of it, especially if you want to keep your head down at school."

"Some things might make it worth being exposed." Karofsky said softly and Kurt shot him a worried look. "Or not." Karofsky frowned at him. "Was the kiss really that bad, or was it just the person behind it."

"Mostly it was the intention behind it, the history, what followed." Kurt breathed a little raggedly. "I'm not in a hurry to repeat it, Dave. There's just too much history to go down that path. We can be friends but nothing more, even that's more than we ever were growing up." He'd accepted the apology and had attempted to put the fear aside and trust that things would be different, but he'd never forgotten.

Karofsky sighed. "That's never going to change, is it?"

Kurt shook his head. "We're both graduating this year. I'm leaving the state when I'm through. I don't know what your plans are but I do know they don't align. You'll find someone that's actually right for you."

"No one that will ever be like you. You're an original." Karofsky looked Kurt over a little slower this time and Kurt didn't hide, he actually felt a little better for the compliment. "The first."

Kurt breathed sharply through his nose as he turned his head to Karofsky. "Mine too." It hadn't been what he wanted and it would forever go under the category of 'best forgotten' but it would never be untrue. "Well, at least with a guy."

"Yeah, me too." They looked at each other, eyebrows raised. "Brittany." They said together and then laughed. Karofsky grinned suddenly. "She was a great start into the world of sex, made it easier in a way to hit on guys and do stuff with them, knowing that while the gender is different, you're not a complete virgin." Kurt shifted uncomfortably. "You didn't have sex with Brittany?"

"I knew I was gay and was out to a select few. I was trying to make it easier on my dad to accept that I was gay by showing him how ridiculous it would be if I were straight, kind of hammer the point in. It had worked too well for Brittany but I always knew it would never be me, my dad saw right through it too. It was never going to lead to sex, just semi-public makeout sessions for others' benefits."

"The hobbit's a lucky bastard, then." Karofsky shook his head, so many feelings towards Blaine in his face that Kurt didn't want to explore nor clarify to Karofsky.

"It was... interesting running into you, Dave. Take care." Kurt jumped down from his stool and this time Karofsky didn't hold him back. He was Kurt Hummel and he wasn't about to let anyone else dictate to him what he should or should not do or what he could claim for himself. He didn't know how he was feeling about Blaine in full at the moment, but one thing he knew, he wouldn't let those two be a thing.

He slid between Sebastian and Blaine, shouldering his way in between and caught Sebastian's rueful smile. Accepting for the moment, Kurt's claim on his boyfriend. Blaine caught his hand and started doing spins and turns with Kurt, pulling him this way and that. The night of dancing started to become fun for Kurt as they did more than just bob and sway and practiced footwork.

Blaine left for awhile again, to get drinks and got distracted by a group of guys at a table on his way back. Sebastian didn't leave Kurt's side or follow Blaine to the bar or even to that table when Blaine obviously looked to be settling in for awhile as they started discussing community art projects in the area. They could hear parts of the conversation from where they were.

Instead, Sebastian's hands found their way to a male body for the first time all night. He hadn't even done any of those hand holds and swinging or spinning each other around. He kept his distance, close but not touching any one. It had sort of surprised Kurt, knowing a little of the history that the boys had dropped about Sebastian's past sexual exploits.

In fact, he hadn't seen Sebastian touch Blaine once that wasn't just a polite handshake.

The realization only occurred as Sebastian's fingers ghosted over his shirt-covered arms, from shoulders down to his wrists. He didn't put any significant pressure into it, didn't touch bare flesh but his arms now mimicked Kurt's perfectly. His chest just a whisper away from Kurt's back and his mouth tantalizingly close to Kurt's bared neck. A shuddering breath went through Kurt as he realized this.

Sebastian had also been drinking but nothing to the extent Blaine had. He nursed a drink whenever he stopped to dance for awhile but interspersed it with water and his hand wasn't always filled with a glass, not like Blaine. His hands were mainly empty whenever he was on the floor.

Kurt felt like he was the one drinking all of a sudden, his capillaries expanding, his pupils dilating, his breathing coming out all wrong. His nose suddenly filled with the complex mix of citrus and something woody and all male. He closed his eyes as he felt Sebastian's breath gloss over his neck. He should have been uncomfortable and he was, but in a totally unexpected way. He didn't move away and he didn't know why Sebastian would put them in this sort of position.

Sebastian's ragged breath and the words torn from his throat, really should have sent warning bells. "You're so fucking beautiful."

"And you're drunk." Kurt laughed self-deprecatingly. He had never been called beautiful before. He definitely wouldn't know why Sebastian would be the one to say such a thing either. Yet he didn't imagine it to be a lie, it had sounded like the most truthful thing Sebastian had ever said to him. It was missing it's usual mocking bite.

"You're not appreciated the way you should be." Sebastian's groan was only followed a breath later by fingers glossing over his side before they moved forward, stepping slowly over Kurt's body in agonizing slowness toward the spot just below his sternum, between his ribs. The arms were wrapped so loosely around Kurt, he couldn't feel them other than by their heat. Kurt's own arms were held just above them, not resting on them and not doing their own thing either. They weren't touching but yet Kurt felt like Sebastian was touching him everywhere all at once.

He turned in Sebastian's arms, wanting to sear himself into every corner of Sebastian's body in return. Sebastian had been a little surprised by Kurt taking the reigns in that way. "Forgot who you were dancing with?" Kurt asked lightly, but his multicolored blue eyes were watching Sebastian's face closely. If it were true, Kurt would pull away.

Sebastian had a half smirk attempting to cross his mouth. "Never. I've been hoping for this opportunity all night. Longer, perhaps."

They regarded each other for a long moment before Kurt took a deliberate step closer. "I find that very hard to believe, considering." Kurt didn't know what had gotten into him. He didn't know where he stood with Blaine, but he knew that Sebastian certainly hated him. They couldn't even be civil to each other and yet here they were, more intimate with each other than they had been with their object of affection all night.

"There's a lot you'll find hard to believe." Sebastian tipped his head forward to rest his forehead against Kurt's. They were moving in sync to the beat and more had joined them on the dance floor. Blaine was too high and too drunk to notice at the moment. "End things with Blaine."

Kurt didn't pull away, but his tone was a bit sharper. "Why? So you can have him?"

"No, because he doesn't deserve you, especially not if he has to pull this crap." Sebastian's palms pressed against the small of Kurt's back, bringing him even further into his heat. "How little he understands..." He shook his head and closed his eyes. "How little he knows you."

"Because you do?" Kurt's tone softened and he willingly moved just a bit closer.

"If I don't, I want to." Sebastian admitted but he didn't attempt to make things more intimate, and in actually, if it weren't for the chemistry between them, the hold right then was completely innocent to outside observers. Sebastian wouldn't make Kurt a cheater and he wouldn't be the cause of a cheater. He could still hold that line, even if he broke so many more than he never thought he would, all because of the man in his arms.

"He loves me." Kurt's voice was a shell of it's normally breathless self.

"Not in the way you deserve." Sebastian lifted one of his hands to Kurt's face but suddenly Kurt wasn't there in front of him anymore. Blaine was glowering at Sebastian as he tugged Kurt to him.

Kurt yelped as it hadn't been expected and he felt like he had whiplash and his arm was pulled of it's socket. His body being locked in Blaine's very different embrace was a stark contrast. Within Blaine's arms, he tested out his shoulder and found that it was fine, just a sharp pull, maybe a little tender but not dislodged. Blaine's arms were crushing though around his waist.

"Ok, Blaine, I think it's time we got out of here." Kurt eased his arms from around his waist and was surprised he was able to manage it. Blaine glared for a second longer at Sebastian before he thrust a smile onto his face for Kurt.

"Ok!" He wrapped his arm around Kurt's waist and let him 'support him' out of the club. Sebastian stepped forward, intending to help and it might have been able to play into Blaine's plans at another time, but he hadn't missed the intimacy of their dance. He needed to separate those two, now and reclaim something from the night. "It's fine, Sebastian, you've done enough." Sebastian held up his hands and stepped out of the way.

Yet again, he ended up being the jealous one. He was the one who was going to end up frustrated by the night. Sebastian got to rub it in his face that he could steal his boyfriend's attention and then go off and find another willing body. The town was too small for Blaine to do the same. Hell, from Lima to Westerville and beyond, he couldn't play in while he had a boyfriend. It would get back to him, somehow, he just knew it.

Kurt would find this a night well spent and be pleased with himself for the attention lathered on him by three males. Then he would go to sleep, soundly.

Blaine tried to keep things light but he was just so frustrated and Kurt was turning that insulting tongue onto him as he called his breath fire-starting.

Kurt never turned that tongue on him before. That was the problem, he hadn't done it in snark or banter and not sexually either. Well he didn't want the snark, but he did want to feel that tongue do some very naughty things to him. He might just have to teach him how to do so.

Opening the back door for Blaine, Kurt had left himself open and Blaine let himself fall back but he took Kurt with him.

"Oof." Kurt grunted, falling on Blaine like that only further irritated his shoulder. "Blaine, stop it, you're drunk." He added when Blaine's hands splayed on his back.

"I only had one beer!" Blaine countered and saw Kurt shake his head.

"And like 8 mixed drinks."

"Yeah but only the beer smells."

"Not how that works." Kurt countered, reaching around with one arm to try and move Blaine's hands, his other one hurt too much to try and bend that way right now.

"I don't need you to tell me how things work." Blaine pouted like a toddler and only slid his hands lower onto Kurt's back, cupping his backside and pushing him down onto himself. "I know more than you do."

"Yeah, ok." Kurt shrugged. "Maybe on the technical stuff. I'm not going to argue. Still, not right now, Blaine." Kurt was tired and he was beginning to think not ever.

"Come on Kurt, lighten up, live a little."

"You're sounding like Sebastian." Kurt grumbled, well the grumbled before the middle of their night out together.

Blaine waved off his comparison. "I'm so much better than him. I can show you so much. Come on Kurt..." His hands slid up, taking Kurt's shirt with them and then his hands slid underneath the fabric and Kurt jerked.

"Cold hands!" Kurt complained against his heated flesh and managed to wrangle both hands away. "Blaine, not tonight."

"Mmmmh." He made a sound of protest under Kurt and bucked his hips up. "We'd be so good together."

"Not tonight." Kurt repeated.

"I know you want it in a field of lilacs with Sting playing and all that, but that's not real life, that's not achievable."

Kurt snorted and went to move away but Blaine broke free of his hands and grabbed the front of his shirt and pulled him back to his chest. Kurt frowned, trying to think of another way out of this. So far, Blaine was just grasping at whatever he could and hadn't put any serious heat into his efforts. "I know that, Blaine. I mean, we can still have Sting playing in the background, that's not an impossible ask."

"Let's just get it over with, once the first time is out of the way, you'll be so much more receptive to future times!" Blaine slid his hands underneath Kurt's shirt again.

"Ok, no!" Kurt pulled away and managed to get out of the car. Blaine followed despite Kurt's efforts to shut the door on him.

"Why not?" Blaine complained.

"There's never been a night in my life where I felt less like having sex with you, that's why. First you spend all night dancing and talking with different guys. Then you ignore my wants and Blaine, you're drunk!"

"I'm not drunk!" Blaine grumbled, leaning back against the car, eying Kurt. "I am hungry though."

"Great, let's get you some food on the way home."

"I'm not hungry for food. There's something that you have though that will fill me up, in a few different ways." His eyes dropped down to Kurt's crotch.

"Seriously?" Kurt wrapped his arms around his chest and took a few steps back. "First of all, A. I'm not having sex with you in the backseat of a Station Wagon, just no."

"It folds down into a bed." Blaine grinned and Kurt shook his head. "We can go to the house and have a bed." He tried to argue that point and he was with it enough to argue that one, so Kurt moved on.

"B. We have never let our hands roam from waists and up and haven't touched lower halves together at all and now you want to take it from that to all the way when there so much else in between?"

"If we're going to touch finally, might as well do everything."

"C. You've done a great job of not even touching me outside our makeout sessions for the last month and a half. You don't want me when you're sober."

"Let me show you that's absolutely not true. I'm just braver when I'm not... when I haven't had a drink." He licked his lips, eyes focusing in on Kurt's mouth. It was more attraction than he'd shown Kurt in months. Why was Blaine only impulsive when drunk? Then again, he wouldn't have liked Blaine if he was like this sober too. "Come on baby, I'll make you feel good if you make me feel good."

"Blaine, you're not listening!" Kurt cried in frustration. "I don't want to have sex with you!" Kurt held up his hands as something more came to realization. "I don't even want to be with you anymore. I think we should break up."

"NO!" Blaine roared and lunged at Kurt, wrapping his arms around the thinner boy even as he turned to run. "I have put up with nearly a year of blue balls waiting to get into your pants. You're not breaking up with me until I exhaust myself of you!"

Kurt struggled to be free. "What the hell Blaine? What happened to the guy from the other night, the guy I've been dating? You said you wouldn't do anything I wasn't comfortable with!"

"That's when I thought you were going to put out!" Blaine reached for Kurt's hand and started dragging him bodily back toward the back of the station wagon. He forced Kurt's hand to his own crotch. "Just... a hand job at the very least, you'll see, you'll like it. I'm so sick of my own hand. You're such a fucking tease! You know what happens when you feed a wild animal?"

Kurt fought, fought hard but Blaine had him in a position where he wasn't able to strike back at the shorter guy. He did have a hand though in a very precarious position though and Kurt attempted to curl his fingers into Blaine painfully but as soon as he started applying too much pressure, Blaine's own hand around his wrist pressed down on the tendons, which caused his hand to slacken and pain to crawl up his arm lightening fast. He called out in pain and Blaine grumbled. "You should just try it Kurt, your whole life will be turned upside down. It's the stuff everyone wants but you apparently."

"Exactly, I don't want it!" Kurt only had one more move he could try and he pulled his head back to headbutt Blaine and he was pleased when he heard a corresponding crack. It made him a bit dizzy though and when Blaine pushed him to sit down, he complied without argument other than to groan. "I might be sick."

"Hold that thought until after we finish." Blaine pushed him back and he fell into the seat and he thought for sure Blaine was going to crawl in after him, but he didn't. There was just a door that closed. Kurt scrambled up and threw his hand out to lock it then the front seat too, remembering he had the keys, not Blaine. He'd gotten them from him during the dance when it looked like Blaine was going to go the way of the party at Rachel's house last year. He hit the lock for all the doors then and crawled into the middle of the car, knees pulled up and glowered back at an angry Blaine who was pounding on the car frame.

It was Blaine's car, or his great-aunts. He'd have to figure out something to say to the cops when they eventually showed up that wouldn't land him in the slammer. He didn't want to go to Juvie. Juvie would just be filled with boys like Puck, Karofksy and Blaine. Still, this was still grand theft auto, a felony.

He was surprised he remembered that when for some reason his thoughts were having difficulty stringing together. The interior of the car was swimming and only Blaine's angry hazel eyes through the window remained clear as his only point of reference. This was not like Blaine, Blaine was drunk, Blaine was frustrated and jealous. Kurt had only made it worse but he would not apologize for saying 'no'.

Kurt was hoping that Blaine would just get frustrated enough to start walking home. He only lived about a mile away. Then Kurt could return the car in his driveway, keys under the mat and then somehow get to his own house without alerting anyone or dealing with Blaine again. He groaned and dropped his head to his knees, unable to look at the swimming objects around him anymore and with the memory that Blaine went to school with him. He'd have to see him again, have to continue dealing with him.

His forehead hitting his upturned knee did not help his headache at all. The collision only reminded him that he likely had a bruise forming there and he bit back another way of nausea. The pounding on the car was not helping it either, inside the car it sounded like gunfire and he had never realized how much even a little music cutting through that space helped deafen other sounds.

Then there was a different sort of knock, this one on the window and was not frantic or angry like the other ones. It was nearly polite but refused to be missed or ignored. He lifted his head and found things had gotten a little better, they weren't moving around as much. His lips tugged down when he was no longer met with hazel eyes but Emerald.

Once the blue eyes met his, the boy behind the moss colored eyes started speaking. It was a weird muffled sound and Kurt shook his head. He groaned when that hadn't helped his head. Sebastian waved him over and Kurt was glad that the windows were crank. The car was ancient and he lowered it just slightly so he could hear Sebastian but moved back so he wasn't right next to him, as if he could do something through that small space.

"Come out." Sebastian urged softly even though it was still a command.

"No." Kurt hugged his arms around his legs, unable to fathom leaving the safety of the car just then.

"Blaine's inside, being watched by the bouncer." Sebastian enticed. "He'd got a pretty big welt on his forehead. I see you do too. It needs to be looked at. Come out. He can't touch you." Sebastian had been pissed when he'd come out with a guy for the night to see Blaine shouting obscurities at the car, rattling the handles and trying to get in. There was only reason a sober Kurt would be the one hiding out in the locked car, away from Blaine.

He'd pulled Blaine away and Blaine took a swing at him. He'd shouted some things at Blaine at that point and his 'date' helped him wrangle the dark haired boy back into the bar. This had only confirmed what he'd already been putting together. He didn't know who Blaine was anymore, he certainly wasn't the guy Sebastian left behind before he went to France. Maybe he was and his true inner-self finally presented itself.

"Look, I know you don't trust me. Is there someone here that you do trust?"

"No one!" Kurt called out. "I can't trust anyone anymore."

"That can't be true... your dad, surely? That giant of a brother. Oh, there's that bear-cub inside that I can get, if you'd like. You seemed pretty chummy with him, I'll be right ba-."

"No!" Kurt unlocked the door, pushed it open and nearly tumbled out after it, trying to stop Sebastian. "Not Dave!" Kurt looked nearly as distraught by his potential presence as he had before he realized it was Sebastian outside the car and not Blaine.

Sebastian held up his hands. "Look, I know you have no reason to trust me, but let me help you?"

Kurt pulled himself together, he was a Hummel, he did not cower like this. He gave a short nod and then suddenly wished he hadn't. Sebastian took slow and measured steps toward Kurt. He gently tilted Kurt's head up without even touching, just his hand beneath Kurt's chin was enough to know what he wanted. He held out a finger on the other hand and had Kurt follow it. Satisfied by the movement, he took a look at the bruise on Kurt's forehead before pulling out his phone. "This is going to be bright." Then he shined it in first one then the other eye and sighed. "As far as I can tell, you don't have a concussion. We should still take you to the hospital."

"No."

"The police then." Sebastian watched Kurt pull away from him and into himself.

"No." Before Sebastian could give him any reasons to go he shook his head. "And say what? My boyfriend got a little too handsy while drunk and I overreacted and locked myself into his car?"

"And high." Sebastian added then looked over Kurt again. "Ok, but you have to at least tell your dad."

"Oh, I will." Kurt vowed darkly. The entire Glee Club would know about it before the night was through. Dirty secrets had no place in their club, everything got aired out despite anyone's desires. Blaine would not be protected from that and Kurt harmed further. He wouldn't put up with it, he'd already dealt with too much that he shouldn't have had to.

Sebastian nodded. "Leave the keys, I'll drive you home."

"You've been drinking." Kurt protested and Sebastian shrugged. "It's not safe."

"I didn't have that much to drink." Sebastian held up a couple of fingers. "How many fingers?"

"Four." Kurt said instantly.

"Three." Sebastian lifted a brow when Kurt held up two. "Two."

"Yeah, ok, you're probably safer on the road than I am." Kurt admitted reluctantly, putting his hand down. "You're not going to try anything?"

"I'm not." Sebastian promised and didn't even touch Kurt or get near him on the walk to his car. "Where do you live?" Kurt gave him instructions but they ended up at an all night coffee shop, it wasn't the Lima Bean, but closer to the university and served food all night too. "This isn't your home."

"Close enough." Kurt started to unbuckle his seatbelt. Sebastian knew hitting the lock button on the doors was going to be pointless, and only stir unease in Kurt, so he didn't touch the button at all, even though he wanted to keep Kurt in the car. "You're going to spill everything you know about Blaine."

"What makes you think that?" Sebastian was getting tired and a coffee would be nice.

"You told me he was high, I didn't know that, how could you? There's been other things you've said too that make me believe things aren't as innocent as they seem. Something has been worming at me and you're going to tell me all."

"Not tonight." Sebastian tried, wanting to get Kurt home and into a bed and recovering.

"Nope, tonight's perfect, you have just enough alcohol in your system to be less guarded. Out." Kurt thumbed over toward the cafe and Sebastian knew he owed him that much.

"All right, but you're not going to like it."

"Any less than tonight's events?" Kurt held his gaze steady over the car when he also got out. Sebastian's shoulders slumped. "That's what I thought."

They spent about an hour at that cafe going over everything. At the end, Sebastian sagged back into his chair and watched Kurt carefully from across the table. Kurt was nodding to himself, agreeing to whatever he was thinking or putting things together with what he knew from his end. "I never thought Blaine would ever behave that way." Sebastian finally said when the silence stretched between them.

Kurt wasn't even daunted. "I guess I just bring that kind of behavior out. I also know what others around me who witness or hear about it do in reaction. What are you going to do?"

"You'll see." Sebastian vowed, voice dipping deeper, eyes flashing and Kurt nodded, reminded of Santana at that moment and that cheered him up considerably.

"Just don't fake date him in order to be prom queen." Kurt quipped and once again, Sebastian didn't know what one of these McKinley kids was even talking about to begin to respond. In this case though, he knew it was insider knowledge and he didn't want to be on the outside anymore.

"Can I take you home now?" Sebastian asked carefully and Kurt gave an approving nod. Sebastian was glad that he was trusted that much.

Blaine came up to Dalton on Friday rather than attend class at McKinley and face those there. He was pretty sure that most of the ND would take his side, but he wanted to be around complete admirers. He popped into the Wabler Choir Room just when they started gathering for the afternoon. He'd been dinking around in Columbus most of the day, killing time and ignoring his phone.

There were some really excited faces to see him. Then there was Sebastian and the few closest to him that he was able to reach before Blaine could make it in. Blaine purposefully ignored his friend and greeted the rest warmly.

"What are you doing here?" Trent asked, coming close with some of the other younger classmen.

"I wanted to bring you all tickets for my play this weekend!" Blaine pulled them out. "You're all invited. It would mean the world to me if you could come and support me."

Sebastian snatched them out of Blaine's hand. "No." He directed his look to the room, standing next to the previous captain of their team. "We will never take anything from Blaine again. He doesn't deserve our support after what he did to Kurt."

"Sebastian- please."

"No." Sebastian ripped the ticket ups into small pieces. "They have a right to know."

"No, don't." Blaine hissed to him. "Please, I'm begging you not to do this. I don't want this. You don't want this."

"Funny, you think I'm going to listen to you say no about this when you wouldn't take a no yesterday from Kurt?" Sebastian had all of their attention now. "That's right, your golden child sexually assaulted Kurt last night, the very same Kurt who came here to get away from something similar. Blaine didn't leave here because of Kurt either. He left because he was terrified of Hunter returning and pushing him off his podium."

There were murmurs through the group. "I know we say once a Warbler, always a Warbler, but we all seem to forget that Kurt was one too. I say we strip Blaine of that title. He does not showcase the values of Dalton." Sebastian turned his head and pieced Blaine with his fierce green eyes, so much like Kurt's just then in intensity. "If we go to the play, it's to support Kurt, not you. Never come back here again."

Blaine hung his head and turned to go, tail between his legs. But this wouldn't be the end. He had more of a punishment that would be doled out to him. Sebastian knew he had a long way to make it up to Kurt for ever playing a role in this farce.

He didn't deserve a chance with the brunette, but he was determined that they'd make it work, some day.

EAN: Told you this was going to be a long shot. Yes, it ended in at a spot in Kurtbastian-land that keeps you wanting more ;), but you know they end up together, lol. It's also not so weird when you consider the next shot. :D
