And here we are with the next chapters Yang's story. This was a bit troublesome to write with one of the original quirks I made, but I think I made it work out pretty well. With that out of the way, lets get on with the chapter.

Chapter 2: A Test of Battle

Ted ducked under a fist before slamming his fist in the gut of his attacker. He sent an upper cut up into his attacker's chin before kicking him away. Another came up behind him and slammed his leg into Ted's side. It had little effect and Ted grabbed hold of it. He threw his attacker towards a third person who was coming at him. Suddenly a blunt projectile slammed into the side of his head, it had little effect and fell to the ground.

"What the hell?!" His attacker exclaimed as Ted turned towards her.

She was in a dilapidated building looking at him from a broken window. She had white hair tied into a braided bun. She wore a green skirt with a beige top under a dark brown leather corset. She wore black leggings under brown leather boots. She had a large mechanical quiver on lower back. In her left hand was a bow with several blunt arrows in her right. Ted smirked.

"You're gonna have to try a lot harder than that to hurt a man like me!" He declared.

He charged forwards. The girl clicked her tongue in annoyance. She drew her bow and fired several more arrows in rapid succession. All found their mark, but had little effect no matter where they hit. With incredible acrobatic skills, Ted deftly leapt and climb a top some rubble before launching himself at the building. His fingers dug into the walls of the building. He began climbing at a surprisingly rapid pace. The girl's eyes widened in surprise.

She stowed her blunt arrows back into her quiver. Before taking out a different set. Before she could fire at him again she was forced to roll out of the way as Ted had already made it up to her. She rolled away from his grapple, drew her bow and fired three arrows in rapid succession. Each found their mark. They each stuck into his skin, though not too deep, and electricity coursed through Ted. However Ted gritted his teeth, and quickly pulled them out.

"Oh come on!" The girl groaned. "Just what the hell are you made of?!"

"Manly toughness girly." Ted declared.

Actually it's my quirk. Ted's quirk is [Adaption]. It allows Ted's body to adapt to various conditions over time. While permanent, it takes a while for him to build up his resistances and too much of anything can overwhelm him. Some things are easier to build up resistance to then others. Still manly toughness in my book.

Ted charged forwards. The girl fired two more arrows, each finding their mark. They did little to slow down Ted's charge as he pulled them out quickly. Once he was on her he threw a punch which she ducked under. Ted didn't give her time to counter attack and sent a kick towards her. The girl leaned back into a roll. Coming back up to a kneeling position she fired two more arrows, each landing true, before stowing away her arrows.

Ted fought through the electricity and quickly pulled the arrows out. Before She could change her arrows, Ted had charged forwards and was already on her. She ducked under a punch, then knocked aside another, before having to dodge a third punch. Ted slowly pushed her back with each attempt. Another punch was deflected before, she was forced to lean back to avoid another swing of his fist. She leaned back into the wall, putting her hands on it. She flipped up the wall and onto her feet, as though she was standing on normal ground. She sprinted along the wall away from Ted. Ted's mouth was agape. The woman's quirk was [Sure Footing]. It allows her to maneuver on any surface as though it was normal ground. This includes maneuvering on walls and ceilings. Ted shook himself from his shock.

"HEY, come back here!" He shouted before chasing after her.

"Give me a minute." She quipped as she ran onto the next wall.

She took out three arrows. She stopped and fired them at him in quick succession. Ted charged forward intent on ignoring the arrows. On contact, they exploded into blinding lights. Ted shouted as he was blinded. He brought his hands to eyes. For several seconds he remained blinded before his vision returned. He shook himself out of his daze.

"Hey!" He heard a girl shout.

He turned to see the girl he'd been fighting crouched in a window.

"Thanks for the points!" She shouted before flashing a cheeky smile and holding up a badge and a peace sign.

"What the…" He began.

He patted his body down and looked around himself to see that his badge was in fact gone.

"Later!" She shouted before hopping out of the window.

Ted huffed in annoyance before sighing. He walked towards a hole in the building and saw the three guys he knocked out still on the ground. With a shrug he hopped out of the building and went to collect the badges.

Meanwhile…

Abraham ducked under a pole that was being swung at him. He deftly maneuvered around each of his opponents strikes before he moved in and elbowed him in the gut. A quick right hook knocked him out before he was forced to defend against another attack. He deflected or dodged each strike his opponent threw before he quickly retaliated and knocked her out with a few well placed strikes. Before he could do anything some came from behind tried to grapple him as another went to attack him. However, an unknown force threw the first one off. Both their eyes went wide as Abraham smirked.

Abraham's quirk is [Unbinding]. It makes it difficult for Abraham to be bound or restrained in any way. His quirk will either break whatever is being used to bind him or throw off what/whoever is restraining him. The only way to circumvent this is to either erase his quirk or have something strong enough to resist the force his quirk generates. Unbinding also gives him immunity to mind control and brainwashing. He is able to break the binds of others and remove any mind control/brainwashing effects by touching them.

He quickly went on the offensive taking out the second attacker before moving to the one that had been thrown off. Before he could get up, Abraham was already on him and quickly knocked him out. He breathed out and looked around. No one was around him other than those he knocked out. Once he double checked this, he went around collecting the various badges.

"Yoooo Chain Breaker!" He heard a familiar voice call out to him as he finished clipping on the last of the badges.

He turned to see Ted walking up to him. He saw three badges on him.

"Mountain Man, looks like you cleaned up your opponents." Abraham noted.

"For the most part, but a sneaky little archer nabbed my badge after she used some flashbang arrows to blind me." Ted explained.

"Let me guess, you thought nothing of them and just charged right on a head." Abraham stated.

"Well uh… … yeah…" Ted replied.

Abraham sighed.

"This is why keep telling you to use your head as something other than a battering ram." He stated.

"Hey come on, it normally works." Ted pointed out.

"Yes and when it doesn't you do it anyways." Abraham retorted before walking away.

"Grrr… whatever, let's just go and see if we can meet up with Sun Dragon and Commander. The LORD of Thunder, has probably already passed." Ted replied as he followed him.

"Still jealous I see." Abraham pointed out.

"Not really, if I didn't see the kind of crazy shit he does to work out I might be though. Seriously, who the heck pulls tractors and other farm equipment as part of their training." Ted noted.

"Hey, it works." Abraham returned. "Though it is a bit strange I'll admit."

The two got out into a more open area.

"Now then, Commander would likely want to head towards the waiting room to take advantage of said man's handy work since that's where he would have stayed during the first test." Abraham.

"Fine by me. Let's get moving." Ted declared.

Before he could rush on ahead, Abraham grabbed him by the shoulder.

"Now hold on. We can't rush this or else we'll play into some of the more crafty foes hands. We take this fast, but smart… got it." Abraham explained.

Ted smirked.

"Yeah, yeah, let's just get moving. We have a test to pass." Ted pointed out before they set out.

Meanwhile…

Yang took the lead as she and Gina made their way towards the waiting room. They had already run into some people and took their badges. They slowly made their way down a lone street with destroyed buildings about flanking each side of it. They did their best to stay hidden as they moved. They kept their eyes peeled and their ears opened. The faint sounds of conflict from other areas of the testing center could be heard as nothing more than whispers on the wind.

They continued down the streets, steps slow and methodical. Their eyes darted across the streets. They scanned over the buildings and alleyways, looking over any crevice they spotted. They listened closely for even the slighting sound.

"I don't like this. Something feels off here." Yang whispered.

"Yeah, it's too quiet." Gina added quietly.

Suddenly Yang was struck in her side by a stone pillar that shot up out of the ground on an angle. She was sent flying into the air as she cried out in pain.

"Sun Dragon!" Gina shouted.

Suddenly another pillar shot out towards Gina. She narrowly rolled out of the way before another pillar came up and sent her flying into the air. She landed near Yang.

"Looks like someone noticed us." Yang groaned.

"Yeah but where are they?" Gina questioned.

They heard a rumble and looked to see a wall of road racing towards them. They had little time to brace for impact as the wall slammed into them. As the wall carried them towards a building. Yang raised her arm as her eyes turned red. She cocked it back before slamming her fist into the wall, shattering it. The duo skidded to a stop.

"I doubt whoever's doing this will let us get away easily. We'll split up and search for him. Hopefully he can only focus on one of us at a time." Gina quickly directed.

"Got it!" Yang shouted before they split off into separate directions.

Meanwhile…

A young man sat cross legged on the floor. He was in one of the dilapidated buildings. He was dressed similar to a christian monk. He had blond hair which was short and slicked back. He had various badges on him. His name was Charles Child. His eyes were closed and his hands were held up near his face pressed together.

"It would appear they have split up and there… searching…" Charles noted. "Hmmm… So they have decided to face me."

He focused on one of the duo he was tracking. He waited patiently to get an accurate read on their speed and position. And… He mentally noted as he lowered his right arm. Now! He mentally declared as he thrusted it uppers, his palm facing up as well.

With Yang…

Yang quickly made her way through the city, mentally checking off the most likely place to find her target. I know Gina said we should fight him. Be come on it's like trying to find a needle in a haystack even if he is probably close by. Suddenly the ground shot up beneath her launching her in the air.

"SHIT!" She shouted.

Suddenly a beam of metal from the skyscraper nearby shot out towards her. Her eyes turned red as she lashed out a punched the metal beam. Steel crumpled from the force of the punch. With another punch she launched herself away. She righted herself in the air. She crashed into the ground, skidding across the road, before breaking off into a sprint. She smirked.

"It'll take more than that!" She shouted.

With Charles…

His palm was thrusted outwards with the other hand's potion never changing.

"It would seem she is quite strong." He noted. "It's a good thing she doesn't seem to be able to take to the air. With the control I have tracking someone through the air would prove quite difficult."

Charles quirk is [Zone Control]. It allows him to gain control over an area within a set radius of him. While he is able to eventually gain complete control over anything non-living, or plant based, within a certain area, it takes time to do this. The larger an area is, the longer it'll take for him to gain complete control over an area. He can selectively choose what to take control of, which will take less time than taking full control of an area. He can further increase this by adding restrictions to the way he controls things. If he loses focus he'll lose control of the area.

"Let's see how your partner fairs." He noted as he brought his hands back together.

With Gina…

Gina rushed through the city. Now let me think. I need to narrow down where this guy likely is. He looked at the skyscrapers around her, some in taller and in better condition than others. He'd probably stick somewhere higher. Especially since he didn't seem to need to see us to attack us. Her thoughts were interrupted by a brick wall coming out from the nearby building and slamming into her. She was sent flying and given little time to recover before the ground shot up, slamming into her. She was sent up into the air. Another pillar shot out at an angle rocketing her into the ground. She groaned as she got up out of the small crater. She looked to her right arm, which was bent unnaturally and clearly broken. It then quickly righted itself and healed. Gina flexed her hand before pushing herself up off the ground.

"This guy is really annoying." She noted as she looked around to see if anything was moving to attack her. "He's able to attack us without seeing us. Does he have a partner or does this all fall under his ability."

Gina continued to mull over this for a bit.

"Regardless, we can be tracked and attacked from afar. Which means the next step is figuring out the limits of these abilities." She noted. "First let's see if I can pin down a range."

She began to run in the same direction as she'd been going. After several seconds, a wall of bricks suddenly slammed into her, sending her flying right towards another pillar of stone that was coming to slam her into the ground. She quickly righted herself in the air, and skidded on the ground, before shifting her momentum to carry her away from the pillar, which slammed into the ground. She quickly looked around for any more incoming attacks.

"Hmm…" She hummed.

She stood still for several minutes and nothing happened. She began to move again, after several seconds another attack came. She was knocked up into the air, however she was able position herself in air to launch off the other pillar back to the ground. She smirked when she landed. I see, movement, or by extension, the small vibrations we make when we move is how they're tracking us. Which means… As she ran she did whatever she could to cause vibrations, knock over trash cans, punch buildings, and more. I might be able to muddle his senses with enough 'noise'. While I do that I search the first floors of buildings. Since they're using vibrations being closer to the ground will help.

With Charles…

"Interesting, this one has figured out how I'm tracking them. Tough and intelligent, she'll be difficult foe. Hmm… for now I'll focus on her partner. I don't have the level of control to get a clear read through all that noise, so I can't get off the clear shots I'll need. Should she find my I'll switch my focus to her." He noted. "Now then…"

With Yang…

Yang continued her search.

"Man this is annoying." She muttered.

Suddenly a stone platform shot her up into the air.

"AND NOW WE'RE DOING THIS AGAIN!" She shouted.

Two more pillars shot out towards her. She swung both her fists out and destroyed them. She fell back to the ground and sprinted as soon as she touched it. Several seconds later, a wall of pavement came racing towards her. She reared her right arm back and swung it out, smashing it apart. She smirked. She continued to rush forwards. Another platform shot out of the ground beneath her. She flipped in the air to change her momentum and prevent herself from flying up. A pillar shot out to attack where she was going to fly.

"HA! Missed me!" She shouted.

A pillar came up from behind and slammed into her back sending her flying. Another pillar shouted out at a downward angle sending her into the ground. She growled as she pushed herself up. She punched to the right and destroyed another beam coming out towards her. She grinded her teeth as her eyes turned a glowing red and golden flames formed in her hair.

"THAT TEARS IT!" She roared.

Another wall came up and slammed her from behind. She reared her arm up, and slammed into it. The resulting shockwave tore the wall to pieces and ripped right through the first floor of a building causing it to collapse.

"I don't like using my quirk too much because it can be a bad crutch but you've earned it asshole!" She shouted.

She stomped forwards back the way she came.

"Let's see how you handle the dragon's rage." She growled.

In the waiting room…

Blitz's eyes were closed as he waited. His mind was wandering to pass the time.

"Well well well look what we have here." A familiar voice spoke up, bringing him out of his thoughts. "Should have figured you be the first to pass, Lord of Thunder."

He looked to see a girl with white hair in a braid walking up to him.

"Why if it isn't Miss Susan Pope. Haven't seen you since the work study." Blitz greeted. "And call me Blitz. Unless you want me to call you Atalanta."

Susan rolled her eyes as she sat next to him.

"That's hardly a threat. Unlike you, my name makes sense with my skill sets and it doesn't make me sound like a tool." She retorted. "Where'd you even get that name from?"

"Thor: Ragnarok." Blitz answered. "Also it does make sense. The lightning I generate makes the strengths which I use for my thundering blows. Kind of like in nature."

Blitz's quirk is [Muscular Lightning]. It Allows Blitz to generate lightning from his muscles and control it. He's only able to control any lightning/electricity he's generated. If he's not careful he can lose control of the lightning he's generated which can cause severe injury or death to himself and those around him. He's able to channel the lightning back into his muscles increasing his strength. His quirk causes extreme fatigue from over uses, this is accelerated when he channels the lightning to his muscles. Increasing his strength too much can also put strain on his muscles.

"Oh yeah cause any one is just gonna pick that up right off the bat." Susan returned with an eye roll. "Isn't that move like two-hundred years old?"

"Yeah, so, your hero name's from a story that's over two-thousand years old." Blitz pointed out.

"And like wine it gets better with age." She returned.

There was a brief moment of silence.

"Well played." Blitz stated.
