Ratchet's P.O.V.
Jasmine fell asleep by the time I drive into the hanger. I put her to bed and talk to Ironhide, Lennox, Optimus, Prowl, and Rung in the hallway. They read the note, and all become concerned.
"She's sending these from prison, but she also might be in contact with the cons," Lennox reminds us.
"I fear this is confirmation she will be freed from prison," Prime adds, "it's hard to tell if she's hoping we'll let our guard down and will attack with the cons soon, or is honestly saying their plan won't happen for months."
"I will inform the guards, and we should inform every Autobot," Lennox advises.
"Rung?" Prowl asks.
"It's hard to know if training and working in the medbay more will distract her, or she's going to face a serious setback. For now, we let her train and work at the medbay."
"We'll keep her safe," Prime assures me, and the meeting concludes.
I return to the room, get in bed and hold Jasmine close to me.
Please keep her safe, Primus.
Jasmine is in a good mood when we wake up. This is good; she must feel safe here, but I worry she could fall apart in the middle of the day. Though I'm a little worried about her coming to work with me today, I know Jasmine will know why if I tell her no. I worry about what she's thinking.
All I can do is make her happy and trust Prime and Lennox to have a plan for when that glitch attacks.
We find out Prime wants to meet with me and most of the other Autobots, which worries Jasmine.
"Nothing changes, Jasmine," he assures her.
"Go with the femmes; I'll be right there," I tell her and kiss her.
"The femmes know what's going on," Prime tells me as we walk down the hall to the conference room.
It's a quick ten minutes filling in the others with what happened last night and Lennox's plan for when Yazmine and the cons attack. He'll meet the soldiers later.
Jasmine's P.O.V.
I can't believe she's ruining my life from prison and probably planning how to end my life. I know the Autobots and Lennox are hoping to have a plan in place to keep me safe, but I worry it'll fail. All I can do is try to think I'm safe and living my life how I want right now.
"Everything will be ok," Arcee assures me, "you know we'll keep you safe. I'll take her down if I have to."
The other femmes agree.
The morning in the medbay starts with reviewing medical records; seeing who's due for a physical or follow-up appointment.
"The twins and Ironhide are due for their physicals," Jolt informs us.
"How does that work? I ask.
"Both holoform and bipedal form," Jolt explains, "the holoform is fully functional like a human body, which yes, means we can get sick and have problems. Though some things can be avoided. For example, food allergies, while humans have to deal with it."
"We could create the perfect holoform and avoid health problems, but we decided not to go that route. Some mechs — like Sunstreaker — aren't happy with this route, but I program the holoforms," Ratchet adds.
Ratchet informs the terror twins and Ironhide they are due for a physical for their holoforms and a check-up for their bipedal form. Getting Sunstreaker to come in will be a problem. Ratchet says we'll give him until the end of the month to choose to come in. Ironhide says he's available Friday morning and Sideswipe Saturday.
"Human soldier wise; there are four newcomers who need a physical before boot camp. I don't know if I need to give you one or not," Ratchet explains, "I'll ask Lennox."
Oh right, July is when boot camp happens. I hope I'm not excluded because of the new problem.
The rest of the morning is quiet, and I do a little studying. Ratchet asks if he wants to set up some practice dummies.
Just thinking about this makes me nervous. Which I know is going to be a problem when sick or injured soldiers walk into the medbay.
"Don't be embarrassed; you must be an amazing doctor to be allowed to work here. You know I had to ask the physician in charge of the residency program at the hospital," Ratchet reminds me.
"I agree," Jolt adds.
The terror twins join us for lunch. Sunstreaker immediately telling is not to talk about how he needs to schedule an appointment. Sideswipe is more interested in hanging out with me.
"Aside from my training class," he adds, "movie in the lounge room tonight?" He asks.
"Go ahead," Ratchet says.
I can tell he knows I'm afraid to be without him.
Sideswipe's P.O.V.
I can smell she's afraid to be away from Ratchet after what happened last night.
"You're safe here, sweetspark," he assures her, "Sideswipe may seem like an inexperienced rookie, but trust me, he's an amazing warrior and protector."
I hate Jasmine is this terrified.
Ratchet's P.O.V.
As I feared, she was falling apart. I take her to my office after lunch.
"I can't believe what she's doing from prison," Jasmine cried as tears roll down her face.
"You're safe here, I promise."
I hug her as she cries. Jolt tries to help calm her down. Now we know how Crosshairs and Drift feel while dealing with Jamie's mental struggle. I hope she's doing ok.
Ratchet: is it possible to do another period of medication for Jasmine?
Rung: yes, let's do a month like before. This should help her relax and feel safe. Hopefully, by the end of the bottle, she'll realize she's safe.
We know this is not all we need to do, but it'll help. I'll start Jasmine on the drug tonight. In the meantime, I take Jasmine back to our room. Jolt knows to page me if I'm needed.
"You're ok; this won't change anything," I assure Jasmine as we lay on the bed. I hate tears roll down her face, "you're safe here. Nothing will happen to you."
