Jasmine's P.O.V.
I already failed my first full day working at the medbay. No surprise, I had yesterday off. Technically, I have today off, but it's my first day of training and Sideswipe's class.
"Do not make her feel like she's being treated differently!" I hear Ratchet yell at Sideswipe.
"How can I? You know how this class works."
He's right; he'd ask to work out together, but that's not extra training. I'm glad I came early to talk to Sideswipe.
"You know how this works; I can't be the instructor and someone's partner. What's the point of being in this class if I tell everyone to go easy on you? Unless he's deciding working out together is special treatment?"
"If that's the case, I will argue it's not."

The nine other new recruits arrive. Eight men and one woman.
"Hey, I'm Sara," she introduced herself.
"Jasmine."
We are to sit on the floor."Welcome to basic training, or as you can call it, the hardest gym class of your lives. You may be here to serve alongside us Autobots, but this doesn't mean training is like a day in the park," Sideswipe explains.
"Coming from the bot who likes to prank," a male recruit jokes.
"You think I can't be serious? Well, it's extra push-ups for you! Everyone else, I want to see twenty-five push-ups, and for jackass over here, one-hundred. You must do them correctly, but I will not scold you for being slow for now."

Sideswipe's P.O.V.
There are a few rookies who are athletic, and it's surprising Jasmine is one of them. I'd think three months inactive would cause Jasmine to be unable to do as many push-ups as she could before. Should I take the fact she's partnering with someone as a good sign after last night? I realize these rookies just got here; a perfect opportunity to get someone to be an insider for the job. How did no one else think about this?
Sideswipe, bro, are you ok? Sunstreaker asks through the bond.
Later, when I request a meeting with the others.

The training class goes well. There's a mix of slow newbies and athletic newbies, but that could change once I begin timing them
The thought one of the others could be an insider for Yazmine hasn't seemed to cross Jasmine's mind... yet. I don't think we should assume this won't happen.
"Sideswipe? Are you ok?" Jasmine asks.
"Yeah, just thinking about what to do next class," I lie, "aren't you supposed to be in the shower to head to the shooting range with Ironhide?"
With that, Jasmine leaves the room. I discover there's a recruit that didn't show up today, Coby Andrews, but my class was even, and everyone had a partner. Perhaps a mistake, or I just found the insider.
Figures Red Alert, Prime and Prowl are busy right now. Lennox is off campus. I can't alert anyone else — whether I'm right or wrong.

"Couldn't get that meeting?" Sunstreaker asks as I sit on my bed.
"No, but it's very important. I think an insider is working for Yazmine."
"Scrap! Say it's an emergency because this could be an emergency!"
"Or as the note said, it'll be a while before an attack."
"Does it matter?!"

Ironhide's P.O.V.
Everyone who's supposed to be in my class showed up. I hate recruits who don't show up and who talk back during my lesson.
"I already know how to use a gun," a male angrily protests.
"A handgun, sure, but not an M18. Perhaps your aim isn't that great either."
I am aware I may have triggered this guy to shoot me, but he walks out of the room angrily. This one is already showing I shouldn't trust him with our weapons.
Other than this incident, my class goes well.
"You are welcome to use the shooting range to get in extra target practice, class dismissed."
I need to talk to Lennox about this incident.
"Hey!" Lennox yells as he runs towards me, "we have a meeting right now."
A meeting before I bring up the issue is not a good sign.

"...as I watched my class doing their push-ups, I realized; could Yazmine have someone working as an insider? My roaster shows an uneven number of recruits. I don't know if it's a mistake or proof," Sideswipe explains.
When he said the name of the extra recruit, I had to add to the suspicion.
"It's hard to know if we're dealing with a recruit with a serious lack of responsibility and respect for authority; or an insider," Prime argues.
I wait for Ratchet to argue Jasmine is in danger, but Prime is right; it's too soon to know for sure. We'll keep tabs on this one.

Ratchet's P.O.V.
It's getting harder to let Jasmine do what she wants. I worried she'd have an anxiety attack while in either class, but this is much worse. I have to trust my friends will keep her safe.

I meet Jasmine for lunch. It's good to see her happy. I don't want to make her feel worried about someone in the base watching her. She tells me training this morning went well.

Jasmine returns to the medbay with me for the afternoon. She returns to her studies since we have already reviewed medical records for the week. Meanwhile, I try to clear my mind. Unbelievable, I told her last night she's safe now I do not believe my own words.

It's a quiet hour before a soldier walks in looking like they got into a fight.

"What the hell happened to you?" I ask.
"Someone attacked me. All I know is it was a dude," he replies, "they tackled me to the ground, making sure I can't see them as they basically use me as a punching bag."
I have Jasmine take this patient while I observe her. She's relaxed as I watch her do the standard conversation as she takes his vitals.
"Only bruises and a black eye," she tells him, "here are a couple of ice packs. Please return if you feel dizzy or get a headache. You may have delayed signs of a concussion."
The soldier leaves with the ice packs.
"Very good, doctor," I praise.
"That was very minor."
"Sweetspark, how are you going to be a medic alongside Jolt and I if you don't believe you can be a good one?"
I fear this is a lack of confidence because of the period of being told she's not ready. I should have argued Jasmine will deal with this mental struggle for a while, or it's lifelong like our other human friend. Is it my fault she has a lack of confidence?
