Ayano sighed as she stepped out of Ayumi's room after scolding the girl who was currently pouting in her hospital bed. Ayano shook her head at the silverette before shutting the door to leave Ayumi alone to rest. Centipeder was now longer in the hallway as he had gone down to the lobby to get the car ready to pick them up to return them to the Nighteye Agency. It meant she needed to get going as she was sure Nighteye had more training to push her way and she didn't have much more time to learn from the man as her intern was drawing to a close.

"Ayano!"

Ayano turned her head seeing Izuku, Tenya, and Shoto making their ways towards her.

"Is she up now?" Izuku asked looking hopeful.

"Yes, she is," Ayano said relieving the boys. "And she feels well enough to be pouty, so I'd say she's okay."

Izuku let out a sigh of relief as Tenya and Shoto exchanged amused looks when hearing their classmate was pouting.

"Feel free to visit her if you wish, but I hope you all remember to rest as this week's internship isn't over." Ayano told them firmly. "I need to return to my own internship, so I won't be staying. I hope you four can stay out of trouble until we return to class Monday."

She narrowed her eyes as she said this, which had Izuku paling and leaning away from the girl. He nodded his head quickly though as he nervously grinned.

"We promise," He said then looked at the other two boys. "Right?"

"Yes, sorry for the trouble." Shoto said as he nodded in agreement.

Tenya just looked down at the ground silently with guilt written all over his face, but Ayano didn't wait for his own confirmation as she nodded. She the gestured for the boys to go on in and Izuku and Shoto didn't waste time in entering Ayumi's room. The girl perked up when seeing them as her pout was replaced with a large smile. She greeted the two warmly, which had Ayano smiling slightly. She might be upset with them, but she was glad to see they were all okay—for the most part anyway.

"Ishida," Tenya began drawing the girl's attention away from their classmates. "I…I am deeply sorry for all the trouble I've caused. You tried to reach out and help me, but I let my anger, my hatred for the Hero Killer, push away your help. I'm sure I made you worry, and for that I am even more sorry."

He bowed his head deeply to the girl in front of him as his jaw clenched tightly. He was so upset with himself. He's caused so much trouble for so many of his classmates. Three were injured due to his recklessness, and if only he had listened to the one in front of him when she offered her hand in kindness, all of this could have been avoided.

"I hope you can forgive me someday," Tenya continued as he came out of his bow. "And until then, I vow I will become a hero. A true hero who is worthy of the name my brother entrusted to me."

Ayano didn't say anything at first and her expression was unreadable. Tenya supposed she wasn't ready for his apologies just yet, which he could understand. However, he was then surprised when Ayano let out a small chuckle as a small smile pulled across her face.

"You needn't apologize to me, Iida-kun," Ayano told him. "I should apologize to you. I wasn't there for you like I should have been. I feel as if I didn't push hard enough when you needed me to. As someone who has gone through what you have, I know how dangerous those dark thoughts of revenge can be…so I'm sorry for not being there for you when you really needed me."

Tenya's eyes widened at her words as she gave him a truly apologetic smile while her eyes softened. He then looked down.

'That's right…' Tenya thought. 'Ishida's brother is hospitalized as we speak. He too taken down by a villain, but unlike Tensei, who will make a full recovery in time, her brother is still in acoma. I can't even begin to imagine the pains she must feel.'

"It dulls a bit in time," Ayano, who had heard his thoughts, said. "But, yes, it does hurt having to see my brother in such a state every time I wish to see him. Though when it had all happened, all I felt was anger. Anger towards the villain who put him in such a state. Anger towards him for losing and leaving me alone. But most importantly the anger I felt towards myself for not being able to save him. All that anger…all I could think of to make it go away…was to put that villain in the same state he left my brother."

Tenya stared at Ayano as she spoke as her hands clenched tightly in front of her.

"When it happened, I nearly used my quirk to do it." Ayano continued. "I could have completely destroyed that villain's mind. It would have been so easy with my quirk, and no one would be able to point fingers at me as no one could have proven I did anything. But before I could do such a terrible thing, two people stopped me…one of them is in that very room."

She turned her head to Ayumi's room, and Tenya followed her gaze to Izuku who was laughing at something Ayumi was saying.

"Izuku and Katsuki…" Ayano said. "They were with me and kept me from falling onto such a path. They didn't even do anything special. They didn't even know what thoughts were running through my head. But at that moment…despite the fact Katsuki seems to hate Izuku and despite how Izuku used to fear Katsuki, they put aside their differences…and held me, together. They kept me from falling apart and grounded me when I needed them to."

Ayano remembers that moment as if it was yesterday. How she was so close to throwing away everything just to get revenge for her brother and how those boys took away those dark feelings just by holding her. By being there for her and protecting her from the darkness that immediately sprouted when she saw her brother fall.

"Those two…they're my best friends—my heroes." Ayano said. "And it's people like that you need when you go through things like this, Iida. Just remember that in the future, okay? And I promise I'll be a better friend and back you up when you need me most."

She said this with a kind smile and Tenya felt himself smile as well as he nodded his head.

"Yes, thank you," Tenya said. "I'll be sure to rely on you in the future, Ishida. But just so you know, you can rely on me as well, my friend."

Ayano nodded before giving her goodbyes to Tenya. She really needed to get going as she was sure Centipeder was waiting with the car by now. Though as she walked, she made sure to take the time to send a message to the rest of the class to let them know that the four troublemakers were okay.

"Well, that's good to hear," Hachiro said as he looked down at his phone, which showed Ayano's group message.

Their classmates were okay, which meant they needn't worry anymore. He and Tsuyu had been really concerned when getting that message from Izuku that had only showed his location without any specific details. Their worry had only grown when hearing of the trouble they had stumbled into with the Hero Killer. It was a good thing Endeavor was around to step in.

"Hey, Froppy, looks like they're fine." Hachiro said as he pocketed his phone as his other hand was holding some cargo over his shoulder.

Tsuyu looked up from her cleaning while looking relieved to hear the news about their friends.

"That's good." Tsuyu said. "I'm happy to hear it."

Hachiro nodded in agreement before setting the cargo he had been carrying along with the other boxes he had brought onto the ship. It was the last of them, which meant his task was complete for the moment. When Selkie finally looked over what they had gotten, taking them to their respective locations would be the next step. Until then, he was done.

"Froppy, Webslinger," Sirius called out as she came down the steps towards the teens. "How's the work going?"

Both paused in what they were doing to look at the blue-haired woman who stopped on the last step.

"I think I'm all done cleaning the deck." Tsuyu said as she held broom in hand.

"And all the cargo is on board." Hachiro added.

Sirius nodded looking pleased with their reports. The two certainly worked hard, and never complained about the tasks given to them.

"So, what do we need to do now, Sirius?" Froppy asked.

Sirius smiled while holding up three canned drinks for the interns to see. She tossed each of the teens one, and Hachiro easily caught his to look it over. Looked like a juice of some kind. He's never seen it before, but hey, he wasn't shy about trying new things. So, after some coaxing from Sirius the teens relaxed with her on the stairs while enjoying their juice.

"It's kind of boring having to spend every day cleaning or doing another mundane chores, isn't it?" Sirius asked as she sat next to Froppy.

Hachiro was behind the two girls in a crouched sitting position as he sipped his drink experimentally. It had a citrusy flavor he couldn't quiet pinpoint, but he found himself liking the flavor so he took another sip.

"A little," Tsuyu replied to Sirius's question.

"I was expecting a bit more," Hachiro confessed.

Tsuyu nodded in agreement as all they've really done is do some basic training and maintain the ship. Sirius smiled at the two.

"You know, I felt the same way when I did my internship," Sirius told them. "As a kid, I imagined I always knew what it meant to be a hero. It turns out the reality is very different. I always figured being a hero would be super glamourous."

Sirius then let out a sigh as she rested her chin into her hands as her elbows rested on her knees.

"But then I discovered it was a lot of patrols and cleaning up," Sirius went on. "I even had to do laundry, which meant washing the Captain's underwear. I had to ask myself what I was even doing here."

Tsuyu and Hachiro exchanged a glance before Tsuyu leaned forward to look Sirius in the face.

"So, you got tired of it?" She asked.

"At first, yeah," Sirius admitted. "But after becoming the Captain's sidekick, I figured something out. I realized what was actually important when it came to being a hero."

This got the interns' attention as they looked closely at their supervisor who was smiling up in thought.

"Oh, really?" Tsuyu wondered. "What was it? Will you tell us?"

"Yeah, what is it?" Hachiro pushed.

Sirius chuckled as her smile turned a bit mischievous in nature. She looked to her two little helpers as they stared at her intently.

"Oh, it'll be better if you find it out for yourselves." Sirius said. "Don't you think?"

The two nodded though were a bit bummed for not getting an actual reply, but Hachiro supposed it was for the best. They couldn't just be handed answers if they wanted to learn. It'd be like Aizawa giving them the answer key along with their tests.

"Hey, Froppy, why are you just sitting there?" Selkie asked as he came around the corner to look at the three sitting. "Shouldn't a frog being jumping to get her work done? And, Webslinger, have you even finished loading the cargo? I thought I told you to keep on top of them, Sirius. Don't you slack either."

As he spoke, he stopped in front of the stairs while reaching pass the girls to roughly squeeze Hachiro's head as he leaned down to frown at the lot of them. Hachiro frowned in return as he tried to ignore the pain his skull was feeling. Why did he feel as if the Captain was picking on him the most?

"I finished cleaning the deck, Captain sir." Tsuyu told him.

"And all the cargo is on the ship, Cap'n," Hachiro added. "Just awaiting further instructions on where you want it all."

At their words, Selkie eased up on his grip, which had Hachiro's skull nearly groaning in relief.

"So, as you can see, I'm totally supervising them properly," Sirius finished as she put her arm around Tsuyu's shoulders.

"Oh, is that right?" Selkie asked.

Selkie looked at the group apologetically as he pat Hachiro on the head before standing straight. He rubbed the back of his neck as he placed his other hand on his waist.

"Guess I jumped to conclusions," Selkie said. "Sorry about that, ladies, Webslinger. I apologize, my bad."

He then struck what Hachiro supposed Selkie thought was a cute face as he brought his hands up under his chin.

"Forgive me," He said in a more high-pitched tone than his usual voice.

As Hachiro blinked at their captain in confusion, Sirius sighed as she placed her hand against her forehead. Hachiro has heard from his brother that Selkie sometimes made weird faces, but he didn't know this was what he meant. When the three only remained silent, Selkie let out a robust laugh as his face split into a large grin.

"I'm too cute for words, aren't I, Froppy?" Selkie asked the girl with a wink.

Tsuyu didn't comment. Not that Sirius gave her time to as the older girl spoke up.

"Yeah, she's dumbfounded." Sirius retorted. "I'm sure Webslinger is too. I know I always say this, but trying to look cute like that doesn't work. The rest of your physique is just too macho. Your face is pretty rugged too."

Hachiro nodded in agreement from behind Sirius, which just seemed to shock Selkie as he brought his hands back up to under his chin.

"What'd you say?!" He shouted. "When I make that sweet face for kids, they eat it up!"

He then had to lean away as Sirius put her finger right in the man's face as she looked at him firmly.

"Of course," She said. "It's because they're actually making fun of you. Trust me, there's nothing cute about it."

Selkie seemed truly dumbfounded by his sidekick's words as he tilted his head to the side. He still looked as if he was trying to pull off the whole "cute" thing, which had Hachiro shaking his head. The arachnid-like teen then looked to Tsuyu to ask her what she thought when he saw the blush on the girl's face as she looked up at their captain.

'She thinks he's cute…' He realized as a deadpanned expression fell across his face.

The entire matter was put on hold, however, as one of the crewmen called out from the navigation room.

"Captain Selkie, sir!" He shouted. "An urgent message has just come in from the coast guard!"

"I hear ya!" Selkie shouted back. "I'm coming! Webslinger, with me!"

Hachiro was quick to follow after the man as Selkie walked up the steps towards the room. As Hachiro followed, the teen felt his blood pump as a small grin appeared on his lips.

'Finally,' He thought. 'Some action.'

Hachiro stood next to Froppy as the parameters of the mission were went over amongst the crew. He looked uncharacteristically serious as he stood with his arms crossed and eyes set on their Captain.

"So, what are we dealing with?" Sirius asked.

"The coast guard reported that there were stowaways on a trade ship," Selkie told the crew. "But things might not be what they seem. Officials inspected the ship, but they didn't find any stowaways hiding on the vessel. Upon further investigation though, they discovered important cargo from the ship's freight list was missing. I'm sure you all know what that means."

It means they had thieves to find and cargo to recover, which Hachiro was ready for. All he's really done in his years of training to be a hero was rescue work. That incident at the USJ had been his first real taste of an actual battle against criminals instead of natural disasters. He was ready for another test of his skills, and this mission might be what he's looking for.

"What do you think, Froppy, Webslinger?" Selkie asked the interns.

Froppy hummed thoughtfully at the question as she placed her finger against her chin.

"It's likely that before the coast guard arrived the stowaways moved the cargo to another ship somewhere close by." Tsuyu guessed.

"They then fled the scene of the crime." Hachiro added in. "They most likely made these plans in advance as well. It wasn't just something they randomly decided to do once their presence was found on the trade ship."

As Tsuyu nodded in agreement, Selkie seemed surprised by the young heroes-in-training's deduction skills. Though he soon got over it as he…struck another cute pose.

"Correct!" He said pleased.

As Hachiro made a face along with Selkie's crew, Tsuyu mentally gushed at how cute their captain was. A sentiment definitely not shared by the rest of the crew.

"It's our job to find these criminals," Selkie said as he went back to business. "Based on the information we have, they probably escaped on a small boat. We will deliver them to the coast guard!"

He said this with absolute certainty as he touched the computerized map on the table in front of them. It put an image up the surrounding ocean.

"Considering the trade ship's position, this would be the general location that would make the most sense in an escape route." Selkie said. "Authorities and other sea rescue heroes are also searching for them."

The map shrunk down to a certain area on the screen that was much closer to their location.

"We'll be focusing on this area." Selkie informed them. "Take note, the sun will set soon. That means you'll be searching from here via radar. I will take to the ocean and search for them myself. That's all. Got it? Let me hear you, sailors!"

"Aye, sir!" They replied as they saluted their captain.

Selkie then left the room to launch himself off the side of the ship and into the ocean. As he went off on this own, Hachiro was quick to leave the small room as well. He just couldn't keep still. Tsuyu followed after him to the outside them watched as Hachiro quickly climbed his way up to the highest point on the ship. Despite the little room there was to rest up there, he made himself comfortable.

"Looks like he's raring to go," Sirius commented.

"Ribbit," Tsuyu agreed as she nodded. "I've never seen him like this. He's usually so laidback, but…he almost seems tense now."

"I don't think he's tense." Sirius disagreed. "Just ready to engage. He's part of a prestigious hero family, after all. He probably just wants to make sure he does right by them."

Tsuyu supposed that could be true, but she never took Hachiro as the type to worry about that kind of stuff. And she was right. Hachiro wasn't worried about making his family proud or anything. He wasn't worried about embarrassing them either as his parents nor his brothers ever placed that kind of pressure on him. He was just…eager—no, maybe that wasn't the right word—ready—yes, ready—to face a new challenge.

Ever since the U.S.J incident, he's been training even harder. Taking the time to perfect his current skill set and experimenting to find new ways of bettering himself and his quirk. He felt like he did so little then. Yes, he did his part and in the long run it did help, but that still didn't take away his feelings of frustration. He felt like he could have done more, but didn't…he didn't want to feel that away again, so he's been working extra hard. Training more with his brothers. Clocking in extra hours in his family's personal rescue training grounds. Now, it was time to see if that training paid off.

'So, much for getting to test myself against some criminals,' Hachiro thought as he stood next to Selkie.

After searching for the possible stowaways' ship, they were given a tip that the stowaway's might be using a small fishing vessel to transport their stolen cargo. Selkie had found the ship with ease, and once they reached the ship, Selkie gave orders to use the Oki Mariner to block the other vessel's path. He then ordered for some of the crew to remain on the ship and for a few to come with him.

Tsuyu had been left on the ship while Hachiro was given permission to come along. He supposed it was because he had previous hero training before U.A. that Tsuyu didn't, but either way, it seemed as if there was no danger here as Hachiro nor could the others find the stolen goods. Looks as if they found a normal old fishing boat. Though something was bothering Hachiro. Though this ship wasn't the biggest fishing vessel he's ever seen, its size would still make it difficult for only the four fishermen in front of them to handle on their own.

'And I didn't see any other crewmen during my search,' Hachiro realized as Selkie told the fishermen to open the hatch that led into one of the holds used to keep fish.

Something about his just didn't sit right with Hachiro, which is why he stood tensely as the hatch was open for them. Hachiro peered down into the darkened space along with Selkie and the other two crewmen. He couldn't see anything though as it was too dark.

"It's too dark to see anything clearly." One of the men said.

"Can't you turn on the lights?" Selkie asked.

Hachiro then stiffened when he sensed danger from behind. He jumped up and flipped over one of the fishermen when they went to shove him down into the container. Selkie and the others hadn't been so lucky as they were pushed into the container below. As Hachiro landed on his feet behind the fishermen who had tried to attack him, Hachiro shot out his webs to wrap up the two men with kraken-like appearances. He tugged them forward until they dropped down into the same hold, they dumped Selkie in.

He then had to dodge the fisherman who had tried to attack him first when a long tentacle nearly caught him in the gut. He landed a few feet away from the two remaining criminals to access the situation. One of them was cowering off to the side, and Hachiro could only guess the guy was conversed into the schemes of the others. Didn't mean Hachiro could lower his guard around that one as he could still attack.

The other criminal was a woman and had tentacles for hair that wiggled around her. She was watching Hachiro just as closely as he was her, but she seemed more relaxed about their encounter than him. She even smirked.

"Not bad, kid," She said. "You managed to avoid getting locked up. But on the bad side, you now have to deal with me. Should have just let yourself be taken down like your Captain. And let me tell you, you shouldn't be expecting any helped from him."

She grabbed the lever to the hatch doors and closed the doors. She then used her tentacle hair to break the lever, which meant getting Selkie out of there just became ten times harder. Of course, she also trapped her own men. She basically made this an even one-on-one battle, so Hachiro wasn't going to complain too much.

"Webslinger!" Tsuyu called from the Oki Mariner as she and Sirius hurried onto the deck.

Hachiro didn't take his eyes off the villainess in front of him to acknowledge the two girls, but the slightest twist of his arm showed he heard her. Sirius frowned as she saw Hachiro facing off against the criminal. Selkie had managed to relay his message to Sirius and she knew they needed to get going to find the stowaways' actual ship if they wanted to get back the stolen cargo. But that became more difficult now that one of the interns were stuck in battle.

"I don't know why you're just standing around." Hachiro called over his shoulder. "You need to get going. This ship is obviously a decoy. Find the real one. I'll keep this one busy."

The villainess smirked at his words as she obviously didn't put much stock in his words.

"We can't just leave you here." Sirius said. "We'll fight her together and then head out to find their real ship."

"That's just a waste of time." Hachiro argued. "Even if we make fast work of her, that still gives the other stowaways' time to get away. So, go."

Sirius wanted to argue, but Tsuyu placing a hand on her shoulder made the words die on her lips.

"He'll be fine," Tsuyu said. "Hachiro is in the top half percentage of our class. He's strong and I have faith in him like you do the Captain. So, believe in him."

Sirius remained silent for a long moment as she turned back to the brown-haired teen as he flipped over another tentacle attack. As he was still in the air, he managed to use his webs to wrap up the civilian who had been pulled into the stowaway's schemes. He pulled the an out of the wall and attached him to one of the masts on the ship to keep him out of the way.

'He's fighting smart,' Sirius thought. 'All other threats have been eliminated except for that one villain. He's also made sure to get the civilian out of the way to ensure there's no chance of the man becoming a hostage…but still…will he be okay?'

Sirius shook her head. She didn't have time to sit here and debate with herself. She then gave orders to move on, which meant she was leaving the villainess and rescuing the Captain to Hachiro. Said boy grinned when seeing the Oki Mariner was moving out from the corner of his eye.

"Hmm, they're leaving you behind, huh?" The villainess asked. "Seems a bit cold to me."

"I'll be fine," Hachiro said with a carefree shrug. "You on the other hand, well, I'll try not to hurt you too much, okay?"

The villainess narrowed her eyes at Hachiro before sending multiple tentacles at him at once. Hachiro dodged the tentacles while shooting out his webs as he went. They hit the offending objects and stuck them down to the surfaces of the ship. Hachiro landed up on a stack of crates while shaking his head and making a tsking noise.

"Well, that just won't do," He said as he placed his hands on his waste. "I mean, are you even trying to hit me?"

His words which were meant to upset the woman seemed to due the trick as the woman gave a shout of anger. She sent even more tentacles towards the teen who swung out of the way. He flipped through the air as he disconnected from the web he had been swinging on. He shot out more webs to bind the woman's tentacles against the many different surfaces on the ship. Soon the woman's tentacle-hair was all stretched out around the ship.

"What the hell?" She demanded as she tried to move her hair, but to no avail.

"That was all too easy." Hachiro said as he threw out another web to attach to a mast. "I thought that would have been more of a challenge."

He swung down and hit the woman head on. The webs that were holding her snapped and the scale of impact sent her flying backwards and off the ship. She splashed down into the water below. He let out a sigh before running over to where the broken lever was. He knelt down while thinking on how he was going to fix this one.

'Thinking isn't exactly my forte,' He thought as he scratched the back of his head. 'Hope the others are okay…cause it's going to take me a while to break the Captain out…'
