The three of us rode down the side of the Titan, quickly catching up to its head. Face still flat on the ground, trees and bushes burst into flames once the body approached them. We gawked at the sight, too shocked to say anything. It wasn't until the ground shook again that I snapped out of it.

"Let's hurry it up! Commander Erwin is counting on us!"

"Yes sir!"

I snapped the reins and we shot forward, riding into the darkness ahead. Luckily for us, all other Titans were not to be seen, hidden by the shadows surrounding us. The moon was now high up in the sky, setting an eerie atmosphere to the whole area. The cold wind bit us harshly as we ran through it but with that monster of a Titan behind us, nothing seemed to matter anymore. Time passed too quickly and it had only been roughly 2 hours before Rand exclaimed into my ear.

"Leader Hazura! Wall up ahead!"

I swore and narrowed my eyes. Sure enough, the distant rectangular silhouette of one of the Walls could just be made out. I gritted my teeth. We reached that way too soon. If Erwin was to think of some way to take down the Titan before it hit any of the Walls, his brain better be working triple time.

"Rand, Smith and I will leave our horses with you at the gate to take them in! Smith, you and I are scaling up with our 3DMG. The second we find out where we are exactly, Rand, you stay here and brief the Garrison guard lead of what's coming. Under no circumstances are they to alert the people. We have enough people panicking as it is."

"Understood!"

The soldiers nodded in acknowledgement. In what seemed like only a few more minutes, when in actuality was another 2 hours, the Wall loomed precariously over us. Dismounting at a patch of trees located right beside the Wall, Smith and I soared our way up the grey bricks. Finally reaching the edge, I overshot it and almost wished I didn't.

The view was spectacularly devastating and my heart dropped. Judging by where Rod Reiss' land was, the distance we travelled to reach the Wall and the hundreds of lights twinkling up at me, I immediately knew where we were. I landed gracefully, my fists tightening to the point of white knuckles.

This was no accident. This was no insane guess of direction. The Titan knew exactly where it was going.

"Leader Hazura! The Garrison Guard have confirmed we are at-"

"-Orvud District."

"Orvud District?" Erwin bit his lip and his eyebrows furrowed. By the time I had returned back to Erwin, Levi and the others had also just arrived. The look on Erwin's face when Levi told him it was actually Rod Reiss in the huge Titan pretty much summed up the last few days. Shock, surprise and then determination. We didn't have the luxury of freaking out and were forced to push on and work with the situation at hand.

"The Titan knows exactly where it's going." I muttered, gritting my teeth.

"It's an Abnormal. It hasn't paid attention to any of us humans riding around it. It must be drawn to large concentrations of people, since that's where it's heading. Orvud District is not only the closest, but the largest group of humans in one location for miles around." Hanji wheezed out, a little bit of life back in her.

"If that is the case Hanji, then evacuating the people could make it worse. Rod Reiss would just change direction and smash right through Wall Rose. Shit." Levi swore, running a hand through his hair.

"Regardless, we can't do anything more here. Hazura, Officer Croft is in possession of an extra horse we brought along. The last time I sent him a command, was to the other side of the Titan. Make your way there and spread the word to retreat to the Orvud District. We'll meet everyone there in their main building. I've already sent Smith to make the trip around the back of the Titan."

"Then I'll make the trip round front. Let's go, Levi."

The Captain stood up and easily leapt from the cart onto the back of Streak, wrapping an arm around my waist. I leaned forward against the wind and nudged Streak into the familiar gallop. As Levi and I zoomed past the soldiers, the Corporal yelled out the orders and the Scouting Legion immediately left for the District. Nothing more influential than Lance Corporal Levi, that's for sure.

As we rounded the front of Rod Reiss' Titan, did it truly hit me just how big he was. His hands were the size of churches, his head the size of the Wall gates and his body's width the length of several streets. I watched in absolute horror as a langy limb reached for the sky before slamming the ground in front of it. The earth rumbled, the trees burst into flames and debris was sent flying through the air. I couldn't take my eyes off of it and in that second, a foreign feeling had me as stiff as a board.

Terror. Pure and utter terror.

"..Haz…! ..zura! Hazura! Rina!"

A rough grip yanked my chin backwards and a gasp ripped out of me. Eyes now forced away from the Titan, my frightened eyes stared into the calm greys of Levi's.

"Eyes on me! Relax, you're freaking out your horse. Just calm down and think logically. We have Erwin, Eren and Historia. You have the Scouting Legion. You have me."

My best friend narrowed his eyes slightly, as if trying to physically push the thoughts of fear and hopelessness out of my mind. I stared into those familiar irises for a few more seconds as my mind settled down. I even felt Streak's frantic pace steady into a comfortable canter. The Captain watched me every of those passing seconds, hints of worry flicking through his expression. Finally, a weak smile made it onto my face.

"Sorry for losing my nerve on you, Levi."

He blew out a sigh of relief and gently released my chin. I turned back to the front and focused my gaze on our path, trying to ignore the fact that Levi's arm had tightened around my waist.

"It's fine. I'd rather you lose your nerve when someone is with you, rather than alone."

I chuckled faintly and continued to steer Streak, patting his neck in apology.

"Sounds like you've lost it when you were alone."

There was a pause and I thought Levi was going to ignore the assumption. Imagine my surprise when he didn't.

"I did. When you were off in the MP."

A brief wave of guilt swept over me. "Well, shit."

"It was a combination of things. Four-eyes found me before I flipped my table. Glad she did, otherwise my room would've been a shocking mess."

"Found him."

Levi stopped talking as Streak surged forward towards an officer with two horses in tow.

"Croft, I'm assuming?" I called. Levi shifted in his seat. The officer blinked at us and nodded.

"Yes sir!"

Then, it was an empty space behind me as the Captain swiftly flipped from the back of Streak and onto the spare horse.

I scoffed. "Pft, show off."

"You can show off another time, Hazura." The Captain easily took the reins and got comfortable.

"Oh, I plan to. You just won't see it." Levi rolled his eyes and I laughed. "Anyway, I'm assuming you're heading back with the group? I'll see you in Orvud when you arrive."

"Take care, Rina."

"You too Levi."

With that, I yelled out a command and Streak bolted forward, towards the Orvud District. Erwin would want to let the soldiers there know what was coming. Being located so far up north, I wouldn't be surprised if the leadership was lacking.

Guess I'd have to show off to them what leadership really was.
