Coco: Hello, everyone! Tis I-Coco! Back with another chapter. In this chapter, we'll be wrapping up the Boku no Hero Academia Movie and learning a few more interesting things about our favorite psychic and her family! I hope you're excited for it!

Ayano let out a breath as she stood outside at the front of I-Island Hospital. It was the day after the incident or rather the same say since the battle had ended early into this morning, and after getting a few hours of rest, Ayano had left her hotel room. A lot has happened, but what was bothering her the most was that her biological father was here. She had a lot of questions. She told herself when Nighteye was dangling information on her biological parents in front of her that she didn't really care. But after seeing her father in person last night…all she felt was curious. She had wanted to ask questions as soon as possible…but…

—FLASHBACK—

Ayano let out a huff as she landed in front of All Might, David Shield, and the man she knew to be her father. After making sure everyone else was alright, and floating Izuku down to their group, Ayano had left them. Of course, Katsuki yelled at her for using her quirk again to let herself fly, but she had brushed off his telling and told him she was just going to check on All Might and David and that she'd be right back. And so, here she was standing in front of the three men with her eyes locked on the white-haired man. He was looking back at her as well with an unreadable expression. It didn't help matters that Ayano couldn't see into his mind either.

"Young Ishida," All Might, who was in his weaker form, acknowledged. "Is everyone alright? None of you are too badly hurt, are you?"

Ayano didn't reply to her teacher as her eyes remained locked on her father. All Might noticed her stare and followed it to the man. David noticed as well, but kept his eyes on the young girl. After a few more moments of staring, he finally spoke.

"Do you know who I am?" The man asked her.

Ayano frowned while slowly nodding her head. All Might's eyes widened as he had no idea Ayano had seen his old friend before to know him.

"Sir has a picture of you in his office," Ayano said. "A few actually. You're always with All Might-sensei and…"

Ayano trailed off. She wasn't sure what to call the woman. Yes, she was Ayano's biological mother, but Ayano felt weird to call anyone but the woman who raised her mom.

"Your mother," Her father finished her sentence.

Ayano nodded again. Silence followed. She had a lot to ask, but wasn't sure what to say. When seeing the girl's struggle, All Might stood up. He walked over to Ayano while placing a hand on top of the girl's head.

"I know you must have a lot of questions, but right now isn't the best time," All Might said. "Can you please wait until a later time, Young Ishida?"

—END OF FLASHBACK—

And so here she was. She had received a message earlier from All Might to meet him and Giichi outside the hospital. Said the two would come and greet her once David was taken care of and the proper authorities were there to guard him in their place. It was sad the man was being treated like a criminal, but he had done criminal acts. Hopefully with All Might speaking on his behalf, he won't be punished too harshly. Ayano sighed turning her back to the hospital to look up at the sky that was turning a pale bluish-gray. She really hated being up this early, but it wasn't like she had much of a choice.

"I thought you'd be here soon." A voice said from behind her.

Ayano turned seeing Giichi coming out the front doors with All Might, who was still in his weaker form, at his side.

"I also thought you might need this," Giichi said holding up a Styrofoam cup to Ayano.

She saw heat rising from it and could smell the coffee from where she stood. She supposed the dark circles under her eyes were more noticeable than she had thought. She didn't exactly have a long time to sleep and she hadn't exactly slept well with what time she had been given. Ayano gingerly took the cup from Giichi.

"It's hospital coffee, but I added some cream and sugar to it," Giichi said. "Hopefully it won't be too bad."

Ayano hummed in reply as she stared down at the dark liquid in the cup she now held in both hands.

"Is this coffee a peace offering for to the fact you've been absent my entire life?" Ayano questioned rather bluntly.

While All Might sweat-dropped at Ayano's inquiry, Giichi felt his lips turning up.

"No, it's not a peace offering." Giichi said. "Just thought you'd like something to warm you up. Nothing can make up for how shitty of a dad I've been."

As All Might scolded his friend for the use of cursing in front of Ayano, said girl blinked. Well, she hadn't been expecting such blunt honestly. She then sighed.

"Don't be too hard on yourself," Ayano said as she looked away. "I haven't really been missing you or anything. Not even when knowing I was adopted or when Sir told me somethings about you…I never felt abandoned or anything. I just guessed you had your reasons."

Giichi chuckled underneath his breath. He should have known Ayano would try to make him feel better. It was just something she would do. The people who raised her did a good job at it as thanks to them she turned out to be such a good person. Though he'd also like to believe she inherited some of her kindness from her mother. She definitely didn't get it from him.

"While I appreciate what you're trying to do, it doesn't change the fact, I'm a terrible dad." Giichi said. "But let's forget about that for now. I'm sure you have questions."

"Yes…" Ayano said. "Sir, wouldn't tell me much. Only bits and pieces. Like, that Sebone Etsudo…my birth mother died some time ago."

All Might flinched at the mention of Ayano's mother, but kept silent. He was only here for support or to help explain things to Ayano if Giichi wasn't sure what to say or do.

"Yes, Etsudo died in the field," Giichi said. "You weren't very old when it happened and already with your new family. It had broken her heart to give you up."

Giichi remembers how much Etsudo had cried despite telling herself it was for the best. Taking Ayano from her arms when it was time for Ayano to go to her new home, had been the hardest thing Giichi had ever had to do in his life. Hearing both mother and daughter cry is something he will never forget.

"And were my sisters put up for adoption as well?" Ayano asked.

Giichi stiffened at the mention of Ayano's sisters, which had the girl inwardly frowning. She guessed she wasn't supposed to know about them, which made sense. No one has technically told her about them. She only saw them through her 'memories' as that Hive thing called them.

"You know about Kazane and Rina?" Giichi asked.

"I know of them." Ayano said. "But not their names until now."

Giichi frowned. He had no idea Nighteye had told Ayano about her elder sisters. Though he supposed he wouldn't put it pass the man.

"Kazane is your eldest sister." Giichi said. "And no, she wasn't put up for adoption like you were. Neither was Rina. However, we didn't keep them either. Due to complications, Kazane was sent to live with my parents and Rina was sent to Etsudo's parents. We had to separate the three of you…"

Ayano's hands clenched into fists. She didn't understand. Why were she and her sisters separated? Why was it necessary?

'They wanted to separate us,' Hive's voice went through Ayano's mind. 'They wanted to weaken us…'

Ayano's hands clenched even tighter as a sense of anger built up in her chest. She didn't know why she felt it. Her only logical reasoning is that the anger didn't belong to her…but Hive. But that just confused her more.

"Why did we need to be separated?" Ayano questioned. "Had I done something wrong? Because it seems like Kazane and Rina were fine to be around each other, but the second I come into the picture, it's not anymore?"

Giichi felt his chest tighten in emotion. He knew he'd have to answer the questions one of these days, but even with all this time to prepare…he felt at such a loss.

"We had no choice," Giichi said. "Nighteye warned us that you three couldn't stay together. That it was safer for all of you if you were sent away."

Ayano frowned because that didn't give her anymore of an answer than the last one, he gave. He was basically repeating himself.

'They fear our power,' Hive whispered in her mind once more. 'That is why they kept the true nature of us a secret by covering us with false abilities.'

'False abilities?' Ayano asked Hive. 'What are you saying? Is my quirk…not my own?'

'Our power is numerous because we are not alone.' Hive replied. 'Their minds are our mind. We are the One of Many.'

Ayano wasn't sure if she understood. Hive wasn't making much sense. It was like it enjoyed speaking vaguely, but still, she was getting more out of Hive than her father. But maybe to understand Hive more, she would have to ask Giichi. Hive seems to be the reason for her being put up for adoption, so he had to know what Hive was. With that in mind, Ayano looked back to Giichi and All Might.

"What is Hive?" She asked.

As she watched Giichi's face drain in color and his jaw tense, she felt worry bubble up in her stomach. All Might looked disturbed as well as he looked off to the side.

"You know about Hive too?" Giichi asked. "Did Nighteye tell you about it?"

'Lie!' Hive quickly hissed in Ayano's mind. 'If he knows we are connected once more, he will try to separate us again.'

"I might have picked it up from his mind without him knowing," Ayano said.

The lie easily rolled off her tongue before she even realized what she was saying. But she felt it was for the best to listen to Hive for now. She didn't want this—whatever it was—covered up just yet. Not until she understood a bit more. Giichi sighed as he shakily ran his hand through his hair.

"Hive is the name of your quirk." Giichi said. "Your true quirk. Not the one you've been using all these years. That quirk belongs to your grandfather—Etsudo's father; Kichigai Idenshi. He used his quirk to suppress Hive and give you false abilities, so you wouldn't appear quirkless. Doctors would question why someone like you who comes from generations and generations of quirk users if you appeared quirkless."

"How is that even possible?" Ayano asked. "Does Kichigai Idenshi have abilities similar to All for One? Or is his power like One for All? Something he can pass down?"

When Giichi slowly shook his head, Ayano was starting to realize a few things. If Idenshi couldn't pass down his quirk then…what in the world can Hive do?

"Hive's ability allows you to latch onto the minds of others with psychic gifts." Giichi said. "It allows you to learn and study their quirks to use them as your own. However, it's only supposed to be for as long as you are mentally attached to those people. At least that's what we thought. However, your grandfather theorized that if Hive is exposed long enough to certain psychic abilities that it can copy those abilities permanently. They might not be as strong as the original quirk as it is only a copy. Hive isn't actually taking the quirk away from the original user after all."

Ayano's eyes widened at Giichi's words. She had no idea. All this time, she wasn't even using her own power?

"As I said it had just been a theory at the time," Giichi continued. "Though he proved it to be true after we took you to visit him multiple times. He interacted with Hive and let Hive use his quirk in hopes Hive would copy it and it did. After that using his telepathy, he created psychic blocks over Hive while still allowing you to use his copied quirk as your own. Though due to Hive being dormant, you didn't start using any abilities again until you became older."

Ayano's mind was racing a mile per-minute by now. This was a lot to take in. She didn't even know how to truly process it.

"As you can guess, we were wary of this quirk of yours." Giichi confessed. "It was strong and you had no control of it. I mean, how could you, were you an infant. But it became a problem as it continuously latched onto your sisters and mother. It would do this every time you were frightened or upset in anyway. And whenever it did, it caused pain to those it was latched to. We had to start keeping your sisters away from you. Thus, why we went to Idenshi for help and why it was seen fit to suppress Hive for the time being until you were holder and had better control over your emotions. We had fully intended to remove the blocks later on in your life but..."

Giichi trailed off with a dark look coming to his eye. All Might reached out to place a hand on his friend's shoulder as Ayano stood completely still. Her breath caught in her throat in anticipation as she wondered what could make Giichi hesitate. Giichi let out another sigh before taking another large breath.

"But…then things happened that led to us separating you three girls." Giichi said. "And then after Etsudo passed…and I just detached myself from everything. I should have reached out to all of you. I should have brought us all back together again, but I didn't…I'm sorry. And I'm sorry, but I won't explain anymore on the subject…not yet. You already have a lot to digest. The rest can wait for later."

Ayano wanted to protest. Wanted to demand more answers. She wanted to know why Hive wasn't returned. Why they had to be separated. She knew it was her fault. She knew it had to do with her. But she couldn't even get the words out of her mouth. Her thoughts were jumbled and her heart was racing as if she was trying to run a marathon. Behind her the trashcan along the sidewalk started to shake, which was quickly noticed by both men.

"Ayano," Giichi said carefully as he reached out.

However, him getting nearer only made the shaking increase, which had him pausing. All Might frowned as he watched so many different emotions flash in Ayano's eyes. Anger…disbelief…panic…fear. She didn't know how to feel or what to think at the moment. She looked like she was going to collapse at any second. Seeing her like this, made All Might's heart clench painfully, and without even having to think about it, he stepped forward to wrap his arms around his distressed student. The trashcan stopped shaking behind them as he held the young girl tightly.

"It's alright," All Might said. "Everything is going to be alright."

He continued to hold Ayano and soon her arms reached up to cling to him like a frightened child. She buried herself into All Might's embrace as she felt tears run down her cheeks.

'But will it really?' She wondered. 'How will it ever be alright?'

"Hey, Ayano, the food is done!" Toru called out.

The invisible girl popped up in front of Ayano, who had been sitting off to the side, while holding a few kebobs in her hands. Ayano blinked at the offered food before taking one of the kebobs from Toru.

"Thank you, Hagakure-chan," Ayano said trying to smile.

Though she didn't think she succeeded as she felt as if Toru was giving her a concerned look.

"Are you okay?" Toru asked while reaching out to place her hand over Ayano's hand that was resting on the table. "You did go through a lot recently. Maybe getting out and putting together this barbeque wasn't a good idea. We just thought it'd make you all feel better."

By "we" Toru was referring to the members of the class who had been absent during all the excitement at the I-Expo preview. Ayano had known the other girls were on the island, but she had had no idea about the others. Though it was nice to see them all, and she felt grateful to them for trying to keep up the spirits of those who had to fight during the villains' take over of the preview. It was also a nice distraction from what had happened mere hours before she had gotten the text asking her to meet up with everyone. Though even with everyone around her and the fun atmosphere, Ayano still felt herself lost in her thoughts.

"I'm alright," Ayano tried to assure Toru. "I suppose I'm still a bit tired, but it's nothing, I promise."

Toru stared at her a bit longer while also giving Ayano's hand a gentle squeeze.

"Well, if you're sure," She said. "But if you need to talk, I'm here and so are the others."

At her words, Ayano smiled a bit more genuinely this time as she turned her hand over to return Toru's squeeze.

"I know, thank you." Ayano said.

As the two girls interacted, Katsuki watched them from a distance. Eijiro, Hanta, and Denki were sitting with him a few tables down from Ayano and Toru. The other boys were talking animatedly about something, but Katsuki was tuning them out. He continued to study Ayano while taking note of the slight redness around her eyes and how they seemed a bit puffy.

'She's been crying,' He realized.

Just knowing that made his anger rise slightly as he wondered what the hell had made her cry. What made him even more annoyed was that she didn't come to him. But she's been pretty distance since after all the excitement was over. Even when things had calmed down and they were allowed to return to their rooms, Ayano had been quiet and drawn in. She had barely looked at any one and went to bed as soon as she could. Though he knew she didn't really get any sleep. She kept him up most of the morning with her tossing and turning. Then when he woke up to find her not in bed, he had been…worried. He frowned at his mental admittance of his concern over her…but…

'…Aya is important…' Katsuki reminded himself.

It's something he finally allowed himself to admit. Even if only to himself. He didn't know what made him just let himself truly acknowledge the way he's been feeling for a while now. Maybe it was when he had seen Ayano unconscious and had feared the worst. Just the thought that she might not wake up had made his stomach lurch. Made him feel like someone had punched a hole right through him. He wasn't an idiot. He knew what all this meant. But there was one thing he didn't know the answer to.

'Does she…feel the same way?' He wondered.

Katsuki mentally growled. He didn't like this. He wasn't meant to feel unsure. He's always known what he's wanted and he's never questioned going after it. A hero always wins. They never back down.

"So, yeah, you should have seen his face when she walked out…" Eijiro was telling Denki and Hanta when Katsuki suddenly stood up, which gained his companions' attention. "Hey, man, what's up?"

"Nothing," Katsuki said as he shoved his hands into his pockets. "Just go back to your blabbering, idiot."

Eijiro was a bit surprised when Katsuki said that considering what Eijiro was just talking about, but soon realized by noticing the direction Katsuki was looking, the blonde hadn't been listening to him at all. Eijiro even grinned when seeing Katsuki's eyes were on Ayano who was currently eating with Toru, Konan, Mashirao, Rikido, Yuga, and Hachiro. It wasn't her usual group, but she seemed to be enjoying herself as she was smiling at Toru who had her arm thrown around her and telling her something excitedly.

"Oooh, going over to Ishida, huh?" Denki asked when noticing the same as Eijiro. "I knew you'd crack eventually, dude!"

"Yeah, it was only a matter of time!" Hanta added with a laugh.

Denki then gasped while jumping back—as much as he could while still remaining in his chair—as Katsuki slammed his hand on the table. He caused a small explosion too, which did catch everyone else's attention. Though they soon went back to what they were doing as they were used to Katsuki letting off explosions when he was getting angry, which is almost all the time.

"Shut-up, moron!" Katsuki snapped. "Mind your own damn business!"

He marched away after that while going straight over to Ayano who had been watching the exchange.

"Is something the matter, Kacchan?" Ayano asked once he reached her table.

"We need to talk," Katsuki said bluntly. "Now."

His tone obviously left no room for argument, and really Ayano didn't have the energy to fight him anyway. Besides, she had a feeling this was coming. She's has been acting funny since yesterday. And his looks haven't gone unnoticed by her. She knew he had to know something was up.

"Alright," Ayano said as she detangled herself out of Toru's arms.

She excused herself from the table before following after Katsuki as he led the way. As they left, everyone watched. Izuku especially who had a look on concern on his face. He noticed how Ayano was acting all day and he's worried about her. He tried asking All Might, who was in is muscle form, about it as he and Ayano had arrived together to the barbeque, but All Might wouldn't tell him anything. Only that it was Ayano's decision if she wanted him and the others to know or not. He sighed. He hoped Katsuki could get her to open up. Maybe if she talked to someone about it…she'd feel better. Or at least he hoped.

Ayano walked silently alongside Katsuki as he just kept walking down the sidewalk. He didn't say anything as he stared forward. His usual scowl was on his face, but something about it seemed different than the usual scowl. After walking a bit farther away, Katsuki stopped. Ayano came to a stop as well while looking around. She saw Katsuki took them down closer to the water, and she noticed while they weren't too far from everyone else, they were definitely out of sight. At first nothing was said as Ayano turned her eyes back to Katsuki.

"Katsuki," Ayano began. "Is something wrong?"

Katsuki scoffed at her question before turning to her. Red met white as they gazed into each other's eyes.

"I should be asking you that, dumbass." Katsuki retorted. "What the hell is wrong with you, huh?"

Ayano flinched slightly at the question, which didn't go unnoticed by the ash blonde. Katsuki narrowed his eyes as he watched Ayano look away nervously.

'Should I tell him?' Ayano wondered. 'How do I even begin to explain something I'm still trying to wrap my head around?'

She inwardly sighed. That was the thing…she couldn't tell him. Not yet. Not until she had a better grasp on this new situation. Not to mention, she couldn't even think of how to explain she met her birth father and learned she's been using a fake quirk all these years. Not to mention, she couldn't mention All Might's involvement because that'd just raise a bunch more questions. No, she'd talk it over with All Might first. Maybe he can help her work things out…and then there's Nighteye. He obviously knew about all of this, and until she got all the answers she needed, she didn't want to discuss it with anyone else.

"I'm sorry…" Ayano said as she looked down at her feet. "It's not something I can talk about just yet."

And that was the best answer she could give Katsuki right now. She knew he wouldn't accept the same lie she told Toru. He'd keep pressing, but maybe with the answer she just gave him, he'd let it drop for now. Katsuki stared at her for a bit longer before dropping his intense gaze.

"Tch, fine," Katsuki said. "Just stop worrying about it so much. Whatever it is."

Ayano chuckled wishing it was that easy. She'd like to just brush it off. She didn't like feeling this worried, but it wasn't something she could just ignore.

"I mean it, Aya," Katsuki growled when seeing her expression. "Whatever it is, you don't have to carry it on your own. All those dumbasses in our class would definitely butt in and try to help you."

Ayano's eyes widened at Katsuki's words as the blonde stepped over closer to her. He stood in front of her, which had her lifting her head so their eyes met once more.

"If it's something those losers can't handle, I'll explode it to ash with my own two hands, ya hear me?!" He demanded. "I'm not like the rest of you weaklings. I won't lose to it, so stop looking so damn mopey!"

Ayano felt her lip tremble as her eyes started to water once more. As the tears started to slowly trail down her cheeks, Katsuki stiffened. Though before he could demand to know why the hell she was crying, Ayano wrapped her arms around him. This had him tensing up even more, but he didn't pull away. He even wrapped his arms around her in return.

"Gees, you're so needy," Katsuki grumbled.

Despite his words, he tightened his arms around her, which had her lips turning up. As he continued to hold her, he looked up at the sky.

'I have more I want to say…but now isn't the right time,' Katsuki decided.
