Coco: Hey, everyone! I'm back with another triple chapter update! I just started writing and before I knew it, I had three chapters ready for posting! Now, so, no one is confused. The last chapter I posted came out like "Chapter 59". However, that was actually Chapter 58. You see, the reason the numbers are a bit messed up is because Chapter 54 was just an announcement and not an actual chapter. That's why the numbers were one ahead of what the actual chapter was. However, I deleted the announcement that was Chapter 54 to right the numbers. So, while you've already read "Chapter 59" this is actually a new chapter. Sorry, if I threw you guys off XD
Ayano coughed and gagged as the black goo finally disappeared and she could breathe again. Katsuki was beside her coughing as well when Ayano felt an ominous presence in front of them. Ayano slowly looked up with her eyes widening at the masked man before them. She unconsciously stepped back towards Katsuki.
"Dammit," Katsuki cursed. "What the hell?"
He then noticed how stiff Ayano was as she ended up bumping back into him. He looked at her frightened face before looking up with his own eyes widening well at the imposing figure.
"My apologies, Bakugo, Ishida." All for One said to the two teens.
Katsuki glared at the man while putting his arm around Ayano's waist. He could feel her shaking like a leaf, which made him wonder if she knew who this guy was. Though he didn't get to dwell on it long as soon the League of Villains joined them.
"That was so gross." Himiko whined as she placed her hand over her mouth.
"This black stuff reeks!" Twice complained. "I love it!"
Royale just rolled their shoulders while feeling full control over their body again.
"Master," Tomura greeted All for One.
Rina just frowned at the man from where she sat next to Tomura. Her hands curled into fists against the ground as her whole body shook.
"So, you failed once more, Tomura." All for One said as he started walking forward. "But you must not be discouraged. You'll try again. That's why I brought your associates along with you and Rina. Even this child because you judged he was an important piece on your gameboard. Of course, Ishida Ayano is here for a reason as well, and you and Rina both did well in securing her for me."
Katsuki stiffened as he tightened his hold on Ayano when he heard what this villain said. He even moved backwards as All for One passed them to get to Tomura.
'What does this guy want with Ayano?' Katsuki wondered. 'Does it have to do with whatever that Hive thing is that the white-haired bitch told me about?'
He looked to Ayano as he wondered this, but she was too distracted to pay attention to him let alone his thoughts. Her eyes were trained on the League's true leader as he stopped in front of Tomura and Rina to hold out his hand to them.
"Start over as many times as it takes." All for One told Tomura and Rina. "I am here to provide you with help. All of this is for you both."
His words made Rina's jaw clench as her eyes shifted over to the frightened Ayano. The two sister's gazes met.
'He's going to try and take your quirk and give it to me,' Rina thought to Ayano. 'Once that's done…he won't need you anymore…'
Ayano didn't need Rina to elaborate on her words. Ayano understood perfectly well, but oddly enough…she wasn't afraid. At least not for herself. She was scared for Katsuki. She was scared for Rina. She had to do something. She's training to become a hero. If she can't safe her own flesh and blood or one of the most important people in her life, she should just give up trying now. She had to think of something.
"Ah," All for One suddenly hummed. "There you are."
He turned with everyone doing the same just in time to see All Might come flying in. He went straight for All for One and the two titans clashed causing the wind and ground around them to break and shift.
"I'll have you return my students, All for One," All Might said.
"Have you come to kill me a second time, All Might?" All for One asked.
The pressure building up around their clashing then released, which sent Ayano, Katsuki, and the League all flying backwards. Katsuki didn't relent his hold on Ayano and took the brunt of the fall as they fell to the ground.
"It took you long enough to find us." All for One mocked the Symbol of Peace after the two broke apart. "It's only five kilometers from the bar to here, and yet it was at least thirty seconds after I sent the Nomu that you arrived. You've gotten weaker, All Might."
"You're one to talk," All Might retorted. "It's kind of difficult to ignore that fancy life support mask you've got on. Aren't you overexerting yourself?"
Katsuki, who was laid on the ground with Ayano, grit his teeth together harshly.
'He held All Might back with his bare hands.' Katsuki thought. 'This guy must be the boss villain.'
A new player then came onto the field as motorcycle was sent hurtling towards All for One. The villain managed to deflect the offending object, which was sent flying off to the side where it crashed harmlessly away from everyone else.
"Oh, another face I haven't seen in sometime," All for One said as he looked behind the two teens and the League. "Hello, Gaunt."
Ayano turned around with her eyes widening when she saw Giichi there and he did not look happy. In fact, his face was so livid, she felt her blood run cold.
"Long time no see, you bastard," Giichi said as he walked forward. "I've come to collect my daughters, and kick your ass in the process."
All for One didn't seem too frightened by the man's words as he calmly tilted his head. Rina shook her own head as she watched Giichi move forward.
'No, he shouldn't have come here,' She thought in a panic. 'He needs to run away!'
Though it didn't look as if Giichi was going anywhere as he moved to stand in front of Ayano and Katsuki who were still crouched on the ground.
"Hmm, well, if isn't this almost nostalgic," All for One said. "I seem to remember a seen not too different from this several years back. However, you were all still rather green young heroes, and it was another in your place, Gaunt. Tell me, do you plan to fall just as she did to protect All Might?"
Both Giichi and All Might stiffened at the mention of Etsudo. All Might could still remember quite vividly to this day his last moments with his dear friend.
—FLASHBACK—
"Etsudo, you have to hold on," All Might begged as he held Etsudo in his arms.
The woman, despite the fact she was losing blood and was in pain, smiled up at All Might.
"Please, don't cry, Toshinori." Etsudo said as she reached up to place her hand against his cheek. "Everything is going to be okay. You just have to remember to keep smiling and stay strong. I know you can do it because you're the strongest person I've ever known."
All Might shook his head as his hold tightened on Etsudo as if his hold alone could keep her there with him. But he knew not even with all his strength that he could keep her from slipping away as she was now.
"Please," He begged. "Please, don't leave."
Etsudo gave him a sad smile as she brushed some of his fallen hair out of his face.
"I wish I could stay, but I'm not going to make it, Toshi." Etsudo told him. "Please, don't blame yourself for this. We didn't know he was going to be here. Neither one of us was prepared, so I don't want you carrying any guilt with you."
"How can I not?!" All Might demanded. "I want to be a symbol. I want to be the one who gives people hope and I want to protect the innocent…but I couldn't even manage to keep you safe!"
Etsudo has been with him since the beginning. Always encouraging him to follow his dreams and never give up. Even when things were at their bleakest. Even after he lost his master and even when he thought he couldn't go on, Etsudo was there to keep him going. She's been his longest friend and one of his dearests. But yet he failed her when she needed him.
"Things like this happen in the line of hero work, Toshinori." Etsudo reminded him. "I chose this life, not you. I'm here because I wanted to be. Maybe things aren't ending how I ever imagined or ever wanted, but I wouldn't change anything. Even if it meant ending up back here and, in the shape, I am now, I'd make the same choices as before. Just please, keep smiling and become the symbol you've always promised you'd be."
Before he could even reply, her hand slipped from his face and her last breath left through her mouth. All Might watched as the light in her eyes dulled, but even then, her smile shown true on her face. Just as it always has.
—END OF FLASHBACK—
"I won't let what happened all those years ago happen again." All Might said as his hands clenched into fists. "And that mistake that happened five years ago? I won't repeat it. You hear me? I will take Young Bakugo and Young Ishida back, and I will make sure you're locked up for the rest of your sad life. Right along with your despicable League of Villains!"
All Might and Giichi then jumped forward to take All for One together. However, the man was ready for them as he raised both of his arms towards them.
"Sounds like you've got your work cut out for you," All for One said as his arms seemed to expand within his sleeves. "This will be hard for all three of us."
A large pressure of air then flew from his sleeves that sent both pro-heroes flying backwards. All Might went sailing farther as he went through several buildings and out of sight. Giichi, however, didn't got as far, but ended up impaled through his chest as he hit a metal rod sticking out from one of the already partially destroyed buildings.
"All Might!" Katsuki called as Ayano gasped at the sight of blood that Giichi hacked up.
Her father's clothes were staining red quickly and blood ran from his mouth down his chin and neck. She placed her hands over her mouth.
"Don't you worry," All for One assured the teens. "It'll take more than that to kill either of them."
Ayano didn't know how Giichi could survive a metal rod through the chest, but All for One spoke so confidentially. As if he knew for certain, Giichi would live. Rina shook her head at the sight of her father's bloodied body as Tomura stood up finally. Katsuki did the same while making sure to keep Ayano behind him.
"Get off the battle field, Tomura, Rina," All for One ordered them. "Though before you go, I suppose it's time to take what you've been waiting for for so long, Rina. Bring me Ishida Ayano."
Katsuki held up his hands with them already sparking. He'd be damned if he let any of these villains lay even a hand on Ayano.
'I'll die before I let that happen,' Katsuki thought heatedly.
Though he didn't appear to have to fight just yet as Giichi, who managed to rip himself from the metal rod, jumped back into the fray, he launched boney spikes at All for One who deflected them with ease. But Giichi didn't stop as more bones left his left arm. He shot them up into the air then jumped up with them. He grabbed them while spinning midair to send them flying at All for One. A few were deflected again, but some hit their mark and pierced All for One's body.
"Master!" Tomura called in worry.
Giichi grew a large bone from his right arm this time and pulled it through completely to brandish it like a sword. He went swinging at All for One, but was stopped by something that came hurtling towards him. He was hit head on and tackled to the ground by…
"A Nomu?!" Katsuki exclaimed.
This Nomu was joined by others who helped the first hold Giichi down. One twisted his arm at an odd angle and the bones within it could be heard snapping. Giichi shouted in pain as he struggled against his multiple assailants.
"I didn't send all the Nomu to the bar." All for One said. "I kept a few here just to be safe. It appears as if I made the right call. Now, perhaps we should save transferring her quirk later when things are calmer. So, Tomura, take both children with you and go."
All for One didn't plan for things to happen this way. This was supposed to be when he parted ways with his students permanently. However, he might just have to revise that plan for later. The tips of his fingers turned black as he spoke and red like veins appeared as well. His blackened fingertips then grew like long, gnarly roots as they shot forward to pierce the still unconscious Kurogiri.
"Kurogiri, warp them away." He ordered.
"Be careful!" Magne said as Kurogiri's body started to convulse. "One of the heroes messed with him and he's unconscious! I'm not sure what's going on, but if you can teleport, why don't you get us out of here?"
It seemed like the logical choice to Magne as Kurogiri has already been hurt. She saw no reason to force him to use his quirk in his state when All for One could do it instead.
"My warp power is still new, Magne." All for One explained. "There is much I need to learn about it. Its distance is limited, and while he can teleport to specific coordinates, I only transport people to and from my own location. Or with focus to and from someone I am very familiar with that is all. It's easier to have Kurogiri do it."
Kurogiri's quirk activated with a large warp gate opening up over the unconscious villain's body.
"Forcible Quirk Activation," All for One said. "Leave this place."
"What about you?" Tomura asked.
He didn't want to leave his master behind to face All Might. Even Giichi was a threat because even when being held down by five Nomu and wounded the pro has already taken down two. All for One is weaker. Not the same as he had once been. Tomura knew that eventually his body would give out. Tomura then gasped as All Might, who regained his bearings, was heading back into battle.
"You're not thinking, Tomura." All for One said as he started to float in the air. "There remains much room for you to grow. You and Rina can do great things, which is why you must leave this place together."
Rina shook her head not wanting to go. She didn't want to be that monster she became over the years anymore. She then watched as All Might clashed with All for One.
"Master," Tomura murmured.
"Let's go, Shigaraki." Mr. Compress said as he compressed Dabi down into a marble, so they could take their fallen comrade. "While our masked league is keeping All Might entertained, claim your prizes."
The villains started turning towards the two teens as Ayano finally pushed herself to her feet. She couldn't just keep sitting around. She had to help Katsuki against these villains. All Might and Giichi both couldn't help them, so they had to fight on their own.
"Heh, this is going to be fun." Katsuki said smirking.
Despite his words, Ayano could see the trembling in Katsuki's hands. Even as he planted himself firmly in front of the villains, he was scared just like she was.
'They really just want me.' Ayano thought to herself as she held out her hand to create a psionic wall to deflect the blades Himiko threw at them.
Katsuki then sent an explosion at Twice when the man tried to come up behind Ayano. The two fought back against the circling villains as Ayano's mind raced a mile per minute.
'All Might…my father…they're both at a disadvantage and with us here we're only making things harder on them.' Ayano thought as she glanced over at Giichi who managed to get back to his feet.
Though he still had three Nomu to face and these seemed different than the Nomu they have faced before. One in particular was much smaller than the other two. About the same size as a regular person and had a hood obscuring their appearance. That one was the one who managed to break her father's arm. That one seemed like the most dangerous. But it wasn't like Ayano could help Giichi now. She and Katsuki were barely holding their own. And she could tell All Might was holding back, and it was because she and Katsuki are here.
'We have to find some way to get away,' Ayano was telling herself as she blocked Spinners sword with a wall.
She then sent a volley of orbs at him and Magne, which forced them both to back off.
'Think hard, Ayano,' Ayano thought. 'What's the best solution? How do we get away...and with…?'
Ayano's eyes went over to Rina who was still sitting down over on the ground with Tomura, who crouched down next to her, helping her sit up. Rina was staring at the young man with a troubled look on her face as if she was having some kind of mental battle with herself.
'I don't want to leave her.' Ayano thought. 'I can't leave her with them…'
Not after everything All for One seemed to do. Ayano didn't know the details, but All for One has hurt Rina. Has taken so much from her. Rina has been used and toyed with, and Ayano didn't want to leave her in the hands of the man who did those awful things to her.
'What can I do?' Ayano asked herself. 'What do I need to do?!'
"Aya!" Katsuki's voice called out to her.
It snapped her from her thoughts, and had her realize she was surrounded as Royale, Twice, and Himiko were all jumping for her. Katsuki mentally cursed knowing he wouldn't be able to reach her in time. However, Ayano saved herself as she put up a psionic barrier around her in the shape of a triangle. She then dislodged the three side from each other to push to villains back to give herself from room.
"Stay focused, idiot!" Katsuki snapped as he used an explosion to flip himself over Mr. Compress.
Ayano frowned though knew he was right. She had to stay focused, or she'd fall right into these villains' clutches. Rina watched the two teens fight while knowing they'd tire eventually. And much sooner than the League.
'Hive, I know you can hear me,' Rina thought. 'Use my quirk. Use me to give her power! Save her!'
Rina felt the buzz in her mind as Hive's presence latched onto her. But the power behind it made her vision start the blur and her mind turn hazy.
'Please…' Rina thought as her mind was going blank. 'Don't fail her…like I have…'
—FLASHBACK—
Rina stared down in wonder as she stood next to her mother's sitting figure on the couch. In Etsudo's arms was a wriggling form that had a turf of ginger hair on its very pink head.
"Rina, this is Ayano," Etsudo told her middle daughter. "Your little sister."
Rina smiled at her mother's words as the little Ayano continued to shift in Etsudo's arms. Rina has been waiting to meet Ayano for some time now. Ever since her parents told her that Ayano would be arriving in a few months' time. It felt so long ago, but Ayano was finally here…her little sister.
"She's so tiny." Rina said as she reached towards Ayano.
She gently poked the baby's cheek and then gasped when Ayano's tiny hand reached up to grasp Rina's hand. Rina stood in awe at this, which had Etsudo chuckling gently.
"That's right," Etsudo said. "She is tiny, so we need to take good care of her. Can you do that, Rina? Can you help me take care of her?"
Rina looked up at her mother then back down at Ayano who fell asleep even though she still clutched Rina's hand. Rina smiled while giving a nod.
"Yeah!" Rina said happily. "I'll take care of her!"
Her words had Etsudo smiling as she continued to watch her two youngest interact. Giichi, who was holding Kazane in the chair across the room, smiled as well.
"Don't you worry, Ayano." Rina said. "Your big sister is going to take care of you and protect you. I'm going to be a hero someday after all, and that's what I'll be to you. I'll be your hero!"
—END OF FLASHBACK—
'But instead I became your villain,' Were Rina's last thoughts before unconsciousness took her.
As she fell limp in Tomura's arms, a lone tear fell from her eye to roll down her face. Ayano gasped suddenly feeling what felt like a surge within her mind. On reflex, she threw her arm backwards at Mr. Compress who was trying to get a jump on her. He went sailing much farther than she had intended to send him, which had Ayano stumbling backwards. She looked down at her hands.
'What is this?' She wondered.
But soon her eyes snapped over to Rina as she heard Tomura shout the girl's name. She saw Rina laying limp in Tomura's arms.
'Rina…' Ayano realized.
'She is one with Hive,' Hive's voice entered Ayano's mind. 'Her power is our power. And it is the power needed for Hive to win.'
Ayano once again felt herself moving on pure instinct as her body turned to face the League of Villains. She raised her had as her eyes started to glow pale blue.
"Calm," She said though her voice almost seemed to overlap with that of Hive's.
The villains gasped feeling an immense sense of peace wash over them. It was so strong many of them fell to their knees. Katsuki looked to Ayano in surprise though his attention was soon drawn to the blood trickling down from her nose.
"She's using Sebone's quirk again!" Magne said as she tried to get her limbs to work.
"I don't like it!" Twice whined. "Oh yeah, I feel so relaxed!~"
All Might looked over in surprise when seeing Ayano's eyes were glowing. Much like how Etsudo's eyes would do when using her quirk.
'So, she really can use Hive now,' All Might thought.
He then grunted when All for One roughly tossed him to the side. He landed on the ground near Giichi who managed to take down another Nomu despite his body's weakened state.
"Looks like Hive is fully awakened." All for One said as he turned towards Ayano. "This is good, but you both need to sleep for now. It's not quite time for your quirk to be running amuck."
He then sent those sharp black root looking things at Ayano who gasped. They were just about to reach her when she was shoved backwards. Time seemed to slow in that moment as she watched Giichi be pierced by those roots. It wasn't like when the rod went through his chest. No, as soon as the roots made contact with his body, they spread out and created a large gash from his lower torso and up. And burst out through his back. His entire middle section was just skewered. As his blood stained the ground, Ayano screamed as she finally landed on the ground from where she had been shoved.
"Giichi!" All Might shouted.
Giichi hacked up more blood as his body slumped forward. The black-root-like appendages from All for One the only thing keeping him up right.
"I wasn't going to hurt her like this, but when you put yourself between her and I, well, I saw an opportunity and took it." All for One said. "Though your body heals at a faster rate compared to normal humans as your quirk allows, there is a limit to how much you can take. I think this is the end for you, Sebone Giichi. You will die knowing you failed them. That you didn't manage to save them."
All for One then removed the black appendages from Giichi's body, which fell backward once it was freed. It hit the ground with a sickening thud. His head landed near Ayano sitting figure, which allowed him to look back at her horrified expression.
"You're…going to be…fine," He managed to whisper. "Papa isn't going to let anything happen to you."
Ayano then watched in shock as Giichi managed to get his body to move. He rolled over onto his stomach where he started to push himself up with his arm that wasn't broken. Katsuki watched in surprise as well as he couldn't understand how anyone could move after that kind of injury.
"I'm not done here, All for One." Giichi said strongly as he got to his feet. "Because I'm not here just as a hero trying to save two kids. I'm also here as a father trying to save his girls, so until they're safe, I'm not falling."
Ayano shook her head in disbelief. Him standing at all shouldn't be possible, but he was pushing himself…practically killing himself for her. She didn't want this.
"Hey, boy!" Giichi called out to Katsuki who flinched in surprise at being called out. "You better take care of her and make sure she gets out of here, you hear?"
Katsuki didn't even have a chance to reply as the wall to the right of them was suddenly busted through by Tenya, Izuku, and Eijiro. Katsuki and Ayano both gasped in shock at the sight of their classmates as a large slope of ice suddenly was formed as well. As the three boys went zooming up the ice, Ayano finally heard it. All their voices.
'Tenya…Eijiro…Izuku…Shoto…Momo…why are they all here?' She wondered.
She then gasped as that hooded Nomu came right at her. It never reached her as All Might went to stop it. The Nomu dodged All Might's fist then whirled around to kick the man's outstretched arm. His leg seemed to go right through All Might's arm, but what was left from a metal chain—a restraint. It was something Ayano has seen before.
'Ko's…quirk?' She wondered as All Might broke free and sent the Nomu flying.
Though she didn't have time to dwell on it for long as she felt Katsuki snatch her up as Eijiro cried out when he and the other two were soaring through the air.
"Come on!" Eijiro shouted as he held out his hand to the pair.
"You better hold on tight!" Katsuki snapped at her. "I'm not leaving you here, so if you even try to stay behind, I will too!"
Ayano did want to stay. She still had to get Rina, and her father…she didn't want to leave him as he was. He was going to get himself killed, and Katsuki must have realized how she felt. But…she knew staying here wasn't right either, which is why she wrapped her arms around his torso tightly. She released her hold on the villains who all recovered and tried to make a grab for them. However, they failed to reach them as Katsuki used two powerful explosions from his hands to send them flying. He had to do another one to send them even higher. Katsuki reached out and managed to snag Eijiro's hand.
"You idiots!" Katsuki snapped though he was grinning.
As they went flying away, the League tried to follow by using their own abilities to send Mr. Compress flying. He was stopped by Mt. Lady who used herself as a wall between them and the villains.
"Mt. Lady!" Izuku called out in surprise.
"The rescue is priority," Mt. Lady said as she began to fall. "Go home, you dumb kids."
She then fell to the ground as Gran Torino arrived on seen as well to knock back the League. He also hit back the Nomu who tried to attack. Ayano watched the scene over Katsuki's shoulder as the fight below became smaller and smaller as they went into the distance. The last thing she saw was All for One assuring the League's retreat and Rina, who was picked up by the hooded Nomu, being taken along with them.
'Rina…' She thought. 'I will get you back…I promise…'
She then felt unconsciousness creep upon her as their group landed safely on the ground thanks to Katsuki softening the blow. She lost her grip and fell backwards, but was caught by Katsuki's strong grip. She heard her friends shout out to her, but she couldn't fight the blackness as it took her.
Coco: And scene! I know I could have wrote all the whole fight between All Might and All for One, but I thought it best to leave things here. I just felt I'd be rewriting the same thing we've already watched and/or read before, so I stopped things here. Hope you all aren't too upset.
Anyway shall we move on to the next chapter?!
