Coco: Hey, hey, guys, it's been a while. Sorry for that. I kind of got into a slump but then when I did want to write, all I got motivated for was my One Piece story...sorry about that...hehe. It's probably because I binged a lot of episodes and then got caught up in the manga, so it got me in a One Piece mood. But I'm here with another chapter for my MHA story. Not too much excitement in this chapter, but the next chapter things should start speeding up and before you know it, we'll be getting to the point in Season 4 that breaks my heart...but enough about that! Let's get started on the chapter, shall we?

It was finally time. Ayano would be returning to Nighteye's agency today. She looked over at the physical copies of the files Nighteye had sent her, which she had printed off. She read over them so much that she practically had them memorized by now. The Shie Hassaikai appeared to be gearing up for something…something big.

In Ayano's generation, groups like the Yakuza weren't really something spoken of often. Most of the old organizations were gone thanks to All Might's time as their Symbol of Peace. However, it seems as if this Yakuza group had managed to survive his reign, and now without All Might here, looks like they were ready to make some kind of play.

'And if they're looking to the League for support, it means whatever their planning could really strike a heavy blow to our already weakened society,' Ayano thought as she remembers reading the part in the report where Chisaki Kai had reached out to Twice.

Ayano, who finished putting on her uniform, didn't like it. And it was a bit daunting. She was still just a student, but if this mission brought her closer to getting her hands on Rina—on bringing in her sister and saving her from the League, Ayano would face this problem, and she wouldn't falter.

Once Ayano grabbed her case that held her costume, she made sure to put away those files safely in her desk. She didn't think any of her classmates would go into her room while she was away—well, maybe Minoru—but it was better safe than sorry. Ayano left her room after that while taking the elevator down to the first floor. She would wait for Izuku there before the two would head out to meet up with Mirio.

"Oh, hey, Ishida." Eijiro greeted the telepath. "About to head out for your work studies?"

Ayano nodded in reply before looking to the irritable Katsuki who was probably about to head out for his extra lessons with Shoto who was also present.

"Morning, Katsuki, Todoroki-kun, Tokoyami-kun," Ayano greeted her boyfriend and other classmates who were present.

Shoto and Fumikage gave their own greetings to the ginger-haired girl as Katsuki just grunted. Ayano moved closer to the blonde while taking his hand in her free hand. He gave her a questioning look, but she only smiled in return.

'Be sure to do your best today,' She mentally told Katsuki.

'Tch, like you have to tell me that.' Katsuki scoffed in reply. 'You should just worry about yourself, Aya. I won't be there to save you if you get into any trouble, idiot, so don't do anything reckless.'

Despite his harsh tone, Ayano's smile only widened as she stepped even closer to lay her head on Katsuki's shoulder. A move that surprised him a little bit since Ayano hasn't really shown him a lot of affection—not in front of their classmates anyway since they started dating. She usually got embarrassed if he took things farther than hand holding.

'You're so cute when you're worried,' She teased him.

Katsuki felt his face warm at her words, but he tried to ignore it as he scowled at her.

'I'm not worried, dammit!' Katsuki snapped. 'I just don't want to have to listen to you whine if you come back hurt!'

Ayano just giggled, which gained the attention of their classmates. They looked over with their eyes widening slightly when seeing Katsuki's face was tinged pink.

"Is Bakugo blushing?!" Eijiro exclaimed loudly thus snapping the couple out of their conversation.

"Shut up, Kirishima!" Katsuki snapped. "I'm not blushing, moron! Now let's go, Todoroki! I'm done wasting time with these losers!"

He went to march away, but Ayano didn't let go of his hand quite yet. He turned around to snap at her. However, the words died in this throat when she placed a peck on his cheek.

"Have a good day, Kacchan," She said as she finally let him go. "Try not to cause too much trouble for Todoroki-kun or Aizawa-sensei."

Katsuki soon got over his shock as he growled at his girlfriend while trying to ignore the fact his cheeks felt even warmer. He finally just turned around to stomp off with Shoto, who wasn't fazed by the entire ordeal, following after him. As he was leaving, Eijiro was snickering away and even Fumikage seemed amused. In all honesty, Ayano wasn't sure why she decided to do all that. Maybe it was her nerves. Riling Katsuki up certainly had made her forget about them and she actually felt a bit calmer.

"Hey, guys, what was all the commotion about?" Denki asked as he and Minoru left the boy's bathroom with their toothbrushes in hand.

"Just Bakugo, what else?" Eijiro asked.

He decided not to tell them about what just happened to spare his friend even if Katsuki wasn't here at the moment. The group then looked up as the elevator dinged with Konan stepping out and looking ready to go.

"Ko-Toshi, you heading out today too?" Minoru asked.

"Yes, I'm to report back to Fatgum-san today." Konan replied. "I should be back this afternoon. Hope you all have a nice day off."

"Okay, well, be careful out there." Eijiro said.

Konan thanked Eijiro for his concern before waving goodbye to everyone before leaving. Speaking of leaving, Ayano was starting to wonder where Izuku was. They should be leaving soon, so to meet up with Mirio.

"Well, while those work study students and extra study students will be gone, the rest of us have the whole day off." Eijiro commented.

"The whole day, huh?" Denki repeated.

"Yeah, after all the exams and special training, we can finally take it easy for once." Minoru said.

Of course, as soon as he said that, Izuku, who was clearly worked up and not taking it easy, came zipping into the room.

"Morning!" He greeted as he grabbed Ayano's hand to pull her along.

Thinking fast, Ayano, who had already put on her boots from her costume, activated her board, so Izuku could just pull her along without her trying to run and keep up as she floated behind him. They zipped by Konan, Shoto, and Katsuki with the group not even blinking at Izuku's mad dash. In side the dorms, Ayumi, who walked out of the elevator, let out a whistle.

"Izuku, sure is getting faster, isn't he?" She casually commented as she turned to face the others.

The boys'—not really Fumikage—eyes widened as they looked at their silver-haired classmate. Ayumi blinked at them wondering why they were staring at her as she adjusted her glasses.

'She actually does where those things,' Denki and Minoru thought in unison.

"Well, this is it," Mirio said as he stood outside with the two first years. "Sir Nighteye's agency."

Izuku stood tensely in between Mirio and Ayano with the latter giving the greenette a look of concern. He looked like he might pass out at any moment.

"Easy, man, take a breath." Mirio said. "Try to loosen up, but not too loose, ya know? Cause, uh, Sir is actually a pretty strict guy."

Ayano nodded along with Mirio's words, but they didn't need to tell Izuku that.

"I'm fully aware." Izuku said. "He's a hero famous for being demanding on others as well as himself. His gaze is so harsh it makes me it makes me shiver every time I see him on TV. He looks so severe."

"That's absolutely true." Mirio said. "But there's a totally different side of him that the press never gets to see."

Izuku looked at Mirio in confusion as he wondered what the older teen could be talking about.

"If you wanna be acknowledged by him, here's a tip," Mirio told Izuku. "You need to do one important thing at this meeting…you gotta make him laugh then he'll totally approve of you."

Izuku faltered at that bit of information as it wasn't what he had been expecting at all.

"Sir is all about smiles and humor," Ayano added as she headed for the door. "So, as strange as it sounds, I'd take Togata-senpai's words to heart, Izuku."

"Says the girl who won't even smile for Sir." Mirio joked as he opened the door for all of them.

Ayano resisted to childishly stick her tongue out at Mirio as she stepped into the building. Izuku, who followed after her and Mirio, was still a bit confused. Ayano led the way up the spiraling staircase with the boys coming up behind her. If she was being a bit honest, she was probably walking a bit faster than necessary. She was just eager to get back to work.

"The most Ishida and I can do is introduce you to him," Mirio told Izuku. "Sir will be the one who will decide if he can use you. I wish we could help more, but that's about all we got. From here on, you'll have to figure out how to make Sir acknowledge you yourself."

"I've been meaning to ask," Izuku began. "How is it that you seem to know so much about me even though we've basically just met? Did Ayano share things with you?"

Ayano glanced over her shoulder at Izuku who seemed perplexed with how much Mirio was already helping him.

"What are you talking about?" Mirio asked as they reached their floor. "I don't know you at all, but I do know that you've got a crazy ambitious goal and you're fighting to turn it into a reality. And wanting to help out someone who is in trouble is basically Heroing 101, am I right?"

Izuku blinked before smiling up at Mirio as they were approaching Sir's office.

"Here we are," Mirio, who was pointing forward, said as they stopped in front of Sir's office. "He's just behind this door."

Ayano could hear Bubble Girl's thoughts as well, which meant she and Sir must be in some kind of discussion. Perhaps about the new case.

"If you wanna get stronger then walk on through," Mirio said to Izuku.

"Got it." Izuku said nodding.

The teens were about to walk forward, but had to pause when Centipeder came from the next hall. He looked to the teens.

"Togata, Ishida, I thought I heard the two of you," Centipeder said then glanced at Izuku. "And you must be Midoriya Izuku."

"Ah, yes, hello." Izuku said politely.

Centipeder nodded to Izuku before his eyes turned back to Ayano.

"Ishida, Sir actually wished for me to collect you once you arrived." Centipeder said. "He wants to have you back in costume and to work to see if you might be able to pick up anything on our latest case. You'll be coming with me to a site where our target had supposedly visited."

Izuku watched as Ayano's demeanor seemed to change. The soft, happy expression she had been wearing before turned hard, and serious as her posture straightened.

"I understand." Ayano said. "I'll be ready to leave in under 5."

She then turned back to Izuku, who was now feeling a bit nervous about seeing Nighteye without Ayano with him, place a hand on his shoulder.

"Good luck, Izuku." Ayano said. "I'm sure you'll do great."

She was then gone with Centipeder following after the young aspiring hero. Izuku watched them go with a bit of worry building up in his stomach. He hoped she'd be okay.

Ayano, who was now in costume, looked around at the warehouse she was brought to as Centipeder was speaking with some of the police outside. There didn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary here, so she was trying to understand what had caught the police's attention to this place.

"Excuse me," Ayano called out to Tsukauchi who was speaking off to the side with Gran Torino. "Would you please tell me what led to the police becoming suspicious of this building? What leads do you have that would insinuate that Chisaki Kai and the League of Villains met here?"

Tsukauchi and Gran Torino turned towards the young girl as she was standing in the middle of the warehouse.

"Centipeder had lost sight of Twice and Chisaki Kai in the area," Tsukauchi began. "Luckily, he was able to get a word out to the officers on duty to be on the lookout, and one of them spotted Twice and Chisaki entering the building. He couldn't get close enough to see what was going on, but sometime during Chisaki's time inside, members of his group appeared and looked as if they were going to rush in…however, he reported that they suddenly stopped and stood outside the warehouse as if in a trance. Though one of the men present had quite literally dropped dead during there time frozen in place. Not long after that, Chisaki left the warehouse and took his men with him. The officer reported back as soon as they were gone, but by the time backup came the League was gone as well."

Ayano's brow quirked at that. If the men suddenly froze with no real sign of reason, it was most likely Rina had used her quirk to trap them in her mindscape. Ayano didn't know too much about the quirk, but during her time connected to Rina she did get a feel of it.

'If one of the men fell dead with no warning, it is possible he was killed within the mindscape, Ishida Ayano,' Hive's voice popped up. 'Dying there is the same as dying in the real world. The brain simply dies and thus so does the body.'

Ayano frowned. That didn't sound pleasant in the slightest. It meant she'd have to be extra careful the next time she and Rina connect minds. She doesn't think her sister would intentionally kill her…not now anyway since the truth has been revealed that All for One manipulated Rina's memories to brainwash her to his side. But Rina also hasn't left the League apparently, and with her quirk she could easily get away…so Ayano had to wonder what made her sister stay with them now and if she was really still a threat.

"I see." Ayano said. "Is the officer who witnessed the incident still here?"

Tsukauchi blinked wondering why Ayano wanted to know that, but he did nod his head.

"May I speak with him please?" Ayano said. "I would like to see what he saw with my own eyes if he is alright with it."

Tsukauchi, who now understood what Ayano was asking, nodded his head while going to collect that officer. As he was doing that, Gran Torino studied the girl. He really hasn't had a conversation with the orangette though their paths have crossed before. She was an interesting character. Not that she was odd…it was just interesting to see someone who looked some much like Etsudo act so differently.

"Hey, Kid," Gran Torino called out to her.

Ayano looked to the older hero when he addressed her as she waited for Tsukauchi to return.

"That useless successor of Toshinori's…he's with Nighteye right now, isn't he?" Gran Torino asked.

He was aware the girl was in the know from what All Might has told him of the girl and her involvement with Izuku. He even knew that explosive blonde from the rescue operation was onboard with the whole secret now too.

"Yes," Ayano said. "He was about to meet Sir when I was asked to come here to help with the investigation. I supposed they should be done talking by now."

She was a bit worried about how Nighteye and Izuku's meeting went. She hopes that Nighteye had decided to take Izuku on as an intern, but she knew there was no guarantee that he had or that he would find a reason to.

"I suspect he won't be taking it easy on the boy." Gran Torino said. "Especially since he didn't approve of Toshinori's decision."

Ayano tilted her her head while wondering what Gran Torino meant, but before she could ask him to elaborate, Tsukauchi returned with the officer who had witnessed what happened here. Or at least what happened on the outside. Ayano returned to all business as she asked the officer for permission to enter his mind to see what he had seen last night for herself. As she delved into his mind, she hoped this brought her a bit closer to finding the League, which meant finding Rina.

Ayano sighed as she walked into the living space in the dorms later that evening. She and Izuku had returned to the door about half an hour ago after Nighteye had dismissed them for the day. She wasn't exactly happy with how little she managed to help today. Even if Nighteye had thanked her for her work. Though she supposed some good did come out of today. As Izuku had told her that Nighteye accepted him for work studies. Even if Nighteye was only doing it to see him fail. She was sure Izuku would prove him wrong though and show Nighteye how amazing he is.

"Hey, Ishida," Shoto greeted the girl as she walked over to where he and Katsuki stood. "How was your work study today?"

Katsuki frowned not wanting to hear Ayano brag about everything she got to do or tease him about how she was getting ahead of him like he expected her to do. However, that isn't what happened. Ayano just gave a huff as she practically faceplanted into Katsuki's chest, which resulted in her leaning against him. He had to put his arms around her to keep her up as she wasn't really trying to hold herself up at this point. Katsuki frowned as he wondered what was wrong with her.

"It sucked." Ayano whined though her voice was muffled. "I don't feel like I accomplished anything."

"Don't be like that, Ayano," Izuku, who was sitting on the couch, tried to cheer her up. "You got to go to a crime scene and help with actual police work today. Nighteye even said what you figured out helped with the case."

Ayano still wasn't convinced she helped at all, but she appreciated Izuku trying to cheer her up.

"A crime scene?" Mina asked. "Girl, that's so cool. So, how did it go? Or can you even tell us?"

Ayano turned her head, so she wasn't pressed face first into Katsuki's chest. Though she was still fully leaning against him, so her cheek was a bit smushed in.

"Not really." Ayano said. "Very confidential until further notice."

Mina pouted since she wanted to know more, but she understood that Ayano couldn't really share either.

"Guess I'll get debriefed about it soon enough," Izuku said. "I look forward to helping you."

"Oh, so Nighteye accepted you?" Ochaco asked. "Congratulations, Deku."

Izuku smiled at her words as Katsuki felt his jaw clench in annoyance. Even the nerd had a work study now.

"That's awesome," Mina said with a grin.

"Indeed, well done, Midoriya," Tenya congratulated.

He held out his hand to Izuku who reached out to give Tenya's hand a firm shake.

"Thanks, guys." Izuku said.

"Thank you." Tenya said. "You're an example to us all. As are you, Ishida, Kurafutoshi."

Konan, who was sitting beside Tsuyu on the couch, looked up from the book she was reading.

"Thank you." Konan said. "However, I wouldn't be where I am without the help I have received along the way."

Mostly Fatgum's help as the Pro's belief in her is what gave her a spot with him on the streets. He saw potential in her and was trying to help her reach it. If it wasn't for him, she wasn't sure how much she really would have grown if she had gone somewhere for her internships.

"I don't see how the rest of us are supposed to compete though." Denki said as he and some of the boys came into the living room.

"Yeah, Midoriya, you'll be working at Sir Nighteye's agency," Hanta added. "That's seriously amazing."

"And I hear Togata and Ishida recommended you," Eijiro added.

"Pretty impressive, man." Rikido commented.

Izuku looked away shyly due to all the praise. Though a part of him didn't feel like he deserved it considering the real reason that Nighteye took him in. Shoto, who was watching his classmates converse, sighed as he looked away.

"The distance between us just keeps getting wider and wider." Shoto said to Katsuki. "We've got to catch up and soon."

Katsuki only scoffed in response as he turned away from Shoto, which took Ayano with him. She whined in complaint at being moved as she moved her arms around Katsuki to keep him still. He looked down at her with a frown.

'Stop being such a baby,' He told her.

'Just shut up, stand still, and let me use you to destress,' Ayano shot back irritably. 'I need comfort, Katsuki~'

Even her mental voice sounded pouty, but Katsuki decided to ignore it as he tightened his arms around her. Sometimes he has to wonder why he puts up with her. She's a pain in the pass for sure.

"I wish I had a place picked out," Ochaco said as the others continued the conversation of work studies. "School says Gun Head hasn't had enough interns, so his agency is a no go."

"I know what you mean," Tsuyu told Ochaco. "I wanted to go to Selkie's, but that's out too. I heard Hachiro is going to his family's agency, so he's having better luck than me."

Though Hachiro, who was currently absent and probably off in his room doing spider things, had offered to put in a good word for Tsuyu to his parents. And if she doesn't find an agency for herself soon, she'd probably take him up on his offer.

"Fourth Kind isn't an option either." Eijiro complained. "He doesn't even accept work studies."

"The teachers sure aren't making it easy for us, are they?" Hanta questioned.

"Thanks to all these requirements a lot of agencies are ruled out right off the bat." Denki added.

He didn't even know where to start looking. He didn't get any requests before hand either, so it made things even harder on finding an agency for himself.

"We can't really blame them." Mashirao said from his seat at one of the tables. "Unlike the internships, we'll be directly involved. I mean, you heard Midoriya—Ishida was sent out to a crime scene today and she's working with the police through her work study. It's a whole different situation."

Denki sighed though knew Mashirao had a point. He knew things would be different, but he still wanted to get out there.

"So, if anything were to go wrong," Mashirao was continuing only to be interrupted.

"Then the Pros have to take responsibility for whatever happened," Aizawa said as he entered the room.

Ayano immediately separated from Katsuki before their teacher could say anything. Not that Aizawa seemed to be paying attention to them. Katsuki rolled his eyes at her speedy escape from his hold. She had been so eager just seconds ago to hold on and not let go of him.

"Oh, hey, Aizawa-sensei." Denki greeted while a bit nervous that their teacher caught him complaining about how the school was handling the work studies.

"Only Pros, who are the real deal, will take on rookies like you guys knowing the risks involved." Aizawa said then looked to Fumikage. "Tokoyami, looks like you've got an offer from one of them. Hawks has invited you to work with him in Kyushu."

Denki, Rikido, and Hanta looked at Fumikage in surprise as said boy's expression gave nothing away to what he was thinking.

"No way." Denki said.

"Dude, he's the number three hero." Hanta said in shock. "That's awesome."

"Good job." Rikido told Fumikage.

"You guys do know that he worked with Hawks during his internship too, right?" Ayumi reminded them as she came from the kitchen with drink in hand. "I'm not saying that to make it look like it's not an accomplishment, but don't you think your shock is a bit late?"

The three boys blinked while seriously seeming to have forgotten that bit of information.

"Well, what do you say, Tokoyami?" Aizawa prompted to keep the conversation from being sidetracked.

"I respectfully accept." Fumikage said as he bowed his head a bit.

"Alright then, I'll make sure you get the relevant paperwork later." Aizawa said. "Just make sure to let me know when you're expected in Kyushu. I can sign off on your absences."

As Shoji congratulated his friend, Shoto lowered his head and closed his eyes unhappily.

"We've really got to catch up." Shoto said.

"Would you stop saying that?" Katsuki growled in annoyance.

As Ayano tried to calm Katsuki down, Aizawa looked to Ayumi who sat herself down beside Shoji at the tables.

"Jinsoku, all of your paperwork has been processed and your ready to head off to work with your father starting tomorrow." Aizawa told the girl causing her smile to drop as her classmates gasped a bit in surprise.

She hadn't wanted to join her father at his agency, but he was her best bet in tying in the new combat techniques she's learning from Ectoplasm in with her speed. Not to mention, he practically told her if she wanted a work study it would be with him and no one else. He might have let her return to U.A, but he was being very strict all of sudden on how her education was going.

"Great," Ayumi said through clenched teeth. "Thanks, Sensei."

Aizawa nodded to her then turned his eyes onto three certain people hanging out at the couches.

"Also, Kirishima, apparently Amajiki of the Big Three wants to talk to you about something," Aizawa informed the redhead.

Eijiro, who was folded over the back of the couch, looked up a bit in surprise.

"He wants me?" Eijiro questioned as he pointed at himself.

He then noticed how Konan's lips seemed to turn up as she was seemingly very focused on her book. He blinked wondering if she had put in a good word for him or something.

"Uraraka and Asui, you've got your own Big Three summons from Hado." Aizawa continued. "You can track them down sometime tomorrow or whatever. That's all for now."

And just like that, as quickly as he had arrived, their teacher left once his news was delivered. As usual, he isn't a man to waste time.

"Amajiki, that's crazy." Eijiro said as he turned sideways and put his hands behind his head. "I wonder what he wants…"

He was looking at Konan as he spoke, but the girl continued just reading her book. Ayano, who had spoken to Konan earlier when they both had been freshening up in the girls' bathroom, smiled. Konan had already told the telepathic girl that she had spoken to Amajiki about introducing Eijiro to Fatgum as she saw Fatgum being a good fit for their redheaded classmate. Looks like Amajiki took her words into consideration. Or maybe he saw something in Eijiro himself.

"Considering the timing, it could be about the work study program." Tsuyu commented.

Ochaco jumped in surprise with hope entering her eyes.

"No way!" She said. "That would be too good to be true, right?"

Soon the three decided to go to the Third Years' dorms now, and Ayano was glad to see some of her classmates seemed to be working things out. Though she couldn't really focus on them and their progress as she had her own to worry about.

'Tomorrow…tomorrow is when things get serious.' Ayano thought to herself. 'Today was just a prelude of what's to come, and I have to do better from here on out.'

Coco: And that's the end of that chapter. As you can see, I had to change things up a bit on how the police and Nighteye's agency found the warehouse that the League and Chisaki met at. With Rina stopping Chisaki's men before they could actually come and save their boss, the warehouse hadn't been damaged and there wasn't any blood to find. So, that's why I added that bit into the chapter and I wanted to show Ayano starting to take on her more serious role as an intern under Sir Nighteye.

Anyway, guys, I hope you liked the chapter. I'm sorry to say I don't really have a chapter bonus for this one. But be sure to send in those requests and I'll be sure to have one ready for the next chapter. Or maybe I'll have one thought up by then.

Now, until next time, guys. And be sure to stay safe and continue being awesome until we meet again. Bye!~
