Coco: Hey, everyone, been a while. Took me some time to get through this chapter since almost all of it was just the characters sitting through a meeting and I'm still putting off the heartbreak that is about to come...But it's just around the corner, and I can't keep avoiding it. So, get ready for the tears. Anywho~
I know the Katsuki and Ayano interactions have been so, so little lately. But there will be more after the Shie Hassaikai arc. I'm especially looking forward to writing some really cute scenes concerning the school festival. Speaking of which, I wanted your opinions on what I should have Ayano do for the performance 1-A puts on. Should she be part of the band (though they pretty much have everything covered and have the instruments they need already), dance team (where Eri will be able to see her since I feel like Eri will want to see her alongside Izuku), or special effects team (which would probably be a great fit considering everything she can do with her quirk)? Or maybe she can be like Izuku and Yuga and do some dancing and then help with the effects. Just let me know.
And news for my other stories, I will probably be posting for Monster Within next. Hopefully soon. Work is kind of killing me right now. My boss just opened another store and took half of our staff to the new store to get it up and running and to train in the new people, so I've been given a lot more responsibility and I've been working a lot more lately. And well, one of the other managers will be getting married this upcoming weekend, so I'll have to take over his duties as well until he gets back from his honeymoon. But after that I'm going on vacation~ I say vacation, but in reality...I'm just not leaving my house XD Gives me plenty of time to work on stories I haven't touched in a while (though the first few days I'll probably be comatose).
But that week, I'm going to like clean up and work on my other stories. Some I might unfortunately, discontinue as I'm not writing for them and I just don't see myself finishing them, and it isn't fair to just keep you guys waiting for an update on them. But 100% I'll be posting for these stories that week:
Ayonic
The Devil Inside; I've finally decided what route I want to go with this one, so the new version will be coming soon.
Monster Within
The Girl with the Death Tattoo
Song of the Fairies (I am so sorry this has taken me so long DX I've been working on Rizzo's story forever and I feel so bad for going so long without updating)
Bright like a Diamond
And my new story Lost in the Veil, which is from Mashima Hiro's latest work Edens Zero. I tried posting something about it before, but didn't like how it was and I decided to let the story get farther ahead before attempting a second go at it.
But enough talk. Let's get to the chapter, yes?
"You're leaving early," Katsuki commented as Ayano came out of her small bathroom dressed in her school uniform.
The blonde had spent the night in her room. It seemed sleeping together and the time they had during class was the only time they had for each other lately. Ayano was so busy with her work studies and training and Katsuki busy trying to catch up.
"It's back to work," Ayano said with a slight smile. "Sir is quite the slave driver."
She said this with a chuckle, but Katsuki saw right through her. She and Izuku have been acting weird since their last day at their work study. Izuku was zoning out and messing up on the littlest things. And Ayano…she's been pushing herself even more and seemed intently focused—way more than usual.
"You might not be able to tell me what you're doing exactly, but don't try to hide the fact that your bothered by whatever is." Katsuki said to her as she was grabbing her things. "You can't fool me, dumbass."
Ayano chuckled while not surprised that Katsuki saw right through her. Though she was grateful that he wasn't pushing her for information.
"Right," Ayano said. "I supposed everything that's going on is bothering me, but I can't talk about it just yet."
She then walked over to where Katsuki sat on her bed. She leaned in and placed a kiss upon his brow.
"I'll see you when I get back." She said. "Try not to miss me too much, okay?"
"Just get the hell out of here." Katsuki said as he stood up. "And don't die out there."
"Right, right," Ayano said with a nod.
She then left her room to hurry to the elevator, so she could meet Izuku in the common space. Once she was arrived, Izuku, who was waiting on her, smiled slightly though she could see he was still wasn't back to his usual self either. She looped her arm with his to pull him along.
"Ready to get back to it?" Ayano asked.
"Yeah," Izuku replied with a nod. "I need something to keep me busy."
Ayano, who nodded in agreement, could understand that completely. The two then left the dorm building, but paused when seeing Eijiro and Konan were outside as well. Seeing them only confirmed that today was the day Nighteye would start the meeting on how to take down the Hassaikai. And Ayano was ready for it.
"Midoriya, Ishida, good morning," Eijiro greeted with a grin. "Are you guys off to your work study too? Cool, so are we."
Luckily, Recovery Girl had been able to fix up Konan's foot without too much of an issue. It wasn't 100%, but well enough to go back into work studies. If Doctorine had been here, Ayano was sure that Konan's foot would have been better than new. It was funny…but even if Doctorine was a sadist…she was missed around here.
"Yeah, we finally got called back in." Izuku answered. "Feels like it's been forever. I wonder why they told us not to where our costumes though."
"We shouldn't be hitting the streets today," Ayano said. "Togata-senpai mentioned a meeting with a few other agencies regarding Sir's current case. So, costumes shouldn't be necessary for us. I heard you might be joining us today, Ko-Toshi, Kirishima-kun."
Izuku blinked since he hadn't heard anything. Though he supposed Mirio was closer to Ayano and this was the girl's second time at the agency, so she might get more information than him since she's better known.
"Really?" Konan asked. "That would explain why we were asked not to wear costumes as well. We were even told to meet somewhere different than usual."
Eijiro nodded along with her words before the group turned to the sound of the door opening. They saw Tsuyu and Ochaco at the door with the two girls stepping out and without their costumes.
"Oh, good morning, everyone." Ochaco said. "You going in today?"
"Yes," Ayano answered. "I hear we'll all be in the same location today. So, should we walk to the station together?"
Ochaco and Tsuyu blinked in confusion, and the others still weren't entirely sure what was going on either. However, Ayano said no more as she started heading in the direction of the gate. It wouldn't be long now…
Ayano walked into the meeting room with Mirio after her group met up with his in front of the agency. She knew Mirio mentioned other heroes joining them, but when she saw just how many were gathered, she was surprised. Even Aizawa was amongst those gathered.
"I wasn't expecting so many." She murmured.
"Yeah, Sir didn't mention how many heroes he called in." Mirio said. "Just shows how serious he is about all this."
Ayano nodded in agreement before turning to Nighteye who stepped forward once Ryukyu pointed out everyone was present.
"Thanks to the information provided by all of you, our investigation has progressed substantially." Nighteye said. "We invited you all here for a joint conference to share the intel we acquired regarding the yakuza group Shie Hassaikai and what we believe that might be planning."
Eijiro frowned in confusion since he had no idea what was going on. Konan seemed a bit out of the loop as well as she tilted her head to the side.
"Hold on," Eijiro cut in. "I feel like I'm missing something important here. Shie Ha-what-now?"
"Some bad guys who are planning to do some bad things." Fatgum explained to his interns. "And they called a meeting so we can talk it all out. Trust me, you three are very much involved."
As Eijiro's frown only deepened, Nighteye asked everyone to move into the next room, which had many tables set up in a rectangle and several chairs placed at the tables. As everyone did instructed, Ayano sat in between Mirio and Izuku, which put the three interns on Nighteye's left.
"Alright, let's begin from the beginning," Bubble Girl said as she and Centipeder stood at the head of the room where a large screen was located. "For the past couple of weeks now, those of us at Nighteye Agency have been conducting an investigation into the Shie Hassaikai. A small but organized group of criminals."
"What prompted this?" Kesagiri Man asked.
Heroes typically didn't deal with organized crime. The police were meant to handle such things, which meant there had to be a reason for Nighteye taking an interesting in this group.
"An accident involving a gang of thieves called the Reservoir Dogs." Bubble Girl explained.
"Yeah, I heard about that." Mr. Brave said.
"The police thought the whole thing was an accident." Bubble Girl continued. "There were a number of details that didn't add up, so we began tailing them."
Centipeder took things over from there as he raised his hands to get everyone's attention.
"In my compacity as a Nighteye Agency sidekick, I began following leads to see what I could uncover." Centipeder said. "I found that in the past year, members of Shie Hassaikai have increased contact with those outside of their organization. Including with those who business dealings are less than reputable. Their aim seems to be expanding their organization and enriching their coppers. Shortly after our investigation began, they made contact with a member of the League of Villains—Bubaigawara Jin; Villain Name: Twice. They were wary of being tailed, so I was unable to follow them."
The screen behind, which had been showing an image of Twice and Kai, changed to show the warehouse in which Ayano had helped Centipeder investigate.
"But with the help of the police, one officer was able to find and stakeout where the two groups had met." Centipeder continued. "And with her abilities, Ayonic was able to witness what that officer had seen and confirmed an altercation occurred between the two groups."
"Really?" Fat Gum asked curiously. "Nothing seems to have happen based on that picture."
It was true. Nothing seemed out of place with the warehouse. Sure, there were cops fanned out and investigating, but other than that, things appeared normal.
"That's because the altercation happened within the two groups' minds." Ayano spoke up.
Those gathered turned towards the teen who sat straight in her chair with her hands folded in her lap.
"As it is most likely known, the League of Villains have a very powerful psychic on their side." Ayano continued. "Sebone Rina, who like myself has multiple psionic abilities. One of those abilities, allows her to create her own mental reality in a place known as the mindscape. Anyone who gets too close to her when she's using this ability, will be pulled within the reality. Though whether it be a reality only within the mind, you can still die there. The officer had mentioned one of Chisaki's men literally dropping dead out of nowhere with no sign anyone had even moved. That is what led us to believe things did not ended well between the League and the Hassaikai."
Ochaco shuddered because that sounded really scary. So, without even having to touch anyone, Rina could kill them within their own minds.
"That be about the time they decided to reach out to Tsukauchi and me." Gran Torino spoke up. "Figured we'd be able to assist given the League's involvement."
"Where is Tsukauchi?" Kesagiri Man asked.
"Follow ups with some other eyewitnesses. Ya know, cop stuff." Gran Torino said then looked towards Izuku. "Sorry, Kid. I didn't see something like this coming. I've got a bad feeling that things are about to get ugly."
Ayano had that feeling as well. Even if things hadn't gone well during that meeting between the League and Chisaki, she had a feeling they'd be facing both groups before everything was said and done with this case.
"I don't care if they do." Izuku said firmly. "I wanna help."
Mirio then asked how Izuku knew Gran Torino, which sidetracked the conversation for a moment. However, Nighteye was quick to get it back on track by prompting Bubble Girl to continue. She quickly did as she was told as she looked to her clipboard.
"So, after all that went down," She continued. "We posted on the HN to request assistance."
"I think we can skip part," Centipeder told her.
"Sorry," Bubble Girl said.
She sounded a little nervous, and Ayano could understand why. This was a little nerve-racking, and it couldn't be easy to talk in front of so many people.
"What's the HN?" Ochaco asked.
"It stands for Hero Network." Nejire explained. "It's online service that can only be accessed by pros. You can see what all the heroes in the country are up to, and you can ask for help from people whose quirks might come in handy."
"Does anyone wanna tell me why a bunch of high school kids were invited to this conference?" Rock Lock interrupted. "I don't care if they are from U.A. if we keep stopping to explain this stuff, we'll never get to the actual plan."
Ayano just gave the hero a look of annoyance, but before she could say anything, a look from Nighteye had her closing her mouth. He understood her frustration, but now wasn't the time.
"Don't say that!" Fatgum said as he jumped from his seat. "These three have important information to pass along."
He gestured to his three interns. All of which looked confused at the moment.
"Uh, we do?" Eijiro asked.
"I am unaware of what information you're speaking about," Konan said rather bluntly.
"I just wanna go home." Tamaki said forlornly.
As some sweat-dropped at the poor confused interns, Fatgum, who seemed to ignore their comments, grinned at the group.
"Anyway, I see a lot of new faces, so let me introduce myself." He said merrily. "Nice to meet cha! I'm Fatgum."
As Tsuyu and Ochaco squealed about how cute and squishy the hero was, Ayano couldn't disagree with them. The man, who was currently offering everyone candy, was adorable.
"Hassaikai's movements are hard to trace, but we suspect one of their main sources of income is illegal drug sales." Nighteye told the group. "So, I requested help from heroes with expertise in that area."
His words brought a look of understanding to Konan and Eijiro's faces as they thought back to that fight that they had on the streets with the thug who used the drug enhancer.
"Yep, I brought in my fair share of drug dealers back in the day." Fatgum said with an unhappy expression then crushed the candy in his hand. "And at his debut fight, Red Riot proved he could too. Tamaki was shot and the bullet contained some kind of drug I never heard of before. One that destroys quirks."
That news caused a stir amongst those gathered. That was definitely something many in their society didn't want to hear as quirks have become such a main part of their everyday lives.
"Whoa, what?" Mirio asked in concern as he stood from his seat. "Tamaki, you're okay, right?"
Tamaki, who didn't like all the eyes turning to look at him, nodded his head in reply.
"Yeah, the stuff wore off as I slept." Tamaki said then raised his arm to show he manifested a cow hoof. "Here look, I've got this cow hoof and everything."
Ayano was glad to hear it as were many of the others who seemed relieved the affects weren't permanent. Rock Lock voiced this out loud.
"Well, I'm glad to know the affects aren't permanent at least." He said. "So, this stuff doesn't zap a quirk for good."
"No, but Eraser Head has some further insight." Nighteye said.
He gestured to the dark-haired man, which had everyone turning to look at Aizawa.
"It doesn't seem to function exactly like my erasure does." Aizawa said. "Since I'm not attacking the quirk directly. What we call a quirk is an extraordinary addition to an ordinary human body. Those additions are collectively referred to as quirk genes. I can shield those genes and temporarily block their expressions, but I don't actually damage them."
"But after Tamaki here was shot, we brought him to the hospital and found that quirk genes had sustained damage." Fatgum informed the group. "Fortunately, they seemed to heal on their own, and he's back to normal now."
"What do we know about the substance he was shot with?" Nighteye asked.
Fatgum frowned for a moment as he looked towards his eldest intern who was slouched over in his chair.
"Whatever it was, it didn't harm the rest of his body." Fatgum said. "Nothing but his quirk was impaired in anyway. The guy who shot him clamed up. He won't say a word, and the round who hit Tamaki was totally spent."
Which sounded like that meant they didn't get much from the bullet. However, Fatgum then smiled.
"However, Kirishima bravely defended Tamaki from a bullet, which then bounced off his own body and should now provide us with a valuable sample." Fatgum said.
Eijiro, who pointed at himself in shock, looked up at Fatgum with wide and confused eyes.
"Whoa, I did that?" Eijiro asked. "Really? That's crazy."
Konan pat her classmate on the shoulder as the poor boy obviously had no idea what was going on. Tsuyu and Ochaco congratulated their confused classmate with smiles, but the smiles soon dropped as Fatgum continued speaking.
"And when we analyzed the substance from the bullet, we discovered something that made me sick to my stomach," Fatgum said. "It contained human blood and cells."
Ayano's eyes widened as her body instantly felt cold and heavy. She wasn't the only one as Mirio and Izuku both had the same reactions.
'…Eri…' Ayano thought as the girl entered her mind.
The sad, scared little girl who had been covered in bandages. Ayano's hands clenched the fabric of her skirt as her teeth grit together harshly.
"In other words, that affect came from a person." Ryukyu summarized. "Someone's power. A quirk that can destroy quirks."
"I'm not connecting the dots here," One of the heroes said. "How is all this related to Hassaikai?"
"The man who shot Tamaki used an illegal drug to boost his quirk during his fight with Kirishima and Kurafutoshi." Fatgum explained. "The distribution channels to stuff like that is complex. Although things have shrunk since the old days, drugs still pass-through various organizations before they finally reach the end user. There's no concrete evidence that Hassaikai handled the drug, but we know for a fact that they interacted with one of the middlemen responsible for moving it."
It wasn't much of a lead, and some could argue it wasn't enough to allow heroes to handle such a case.
"That's all?" the same hero from before asked.
"The other day, Ryukyu's team broke up a fight between two villain groups," Nighteye said. "One of those groups was controlled by the intermediate organization that Fatgum just mentioned."
"One of the two giants had been given an inferior drug that didn't last long." Ryukyu added.
"There have been a rash of gang related crimes recently, and most could be related to the Hassaikai if you try hard enough." Kesagiri Man pointed out.
"Which it seems to be what you're doing." The other hero added. "Trying to make them guilty. Don't you have anything that implicates them more clearly?"
It was a reasonable question. Ayano could agree with that. What they've been discussing thus far wasn't enough to fully prove Hassaikai was up to something truly nefarious. Nighteye didn't reply at first as an image of Kai appeared on the screen behind him. As Mirio and Izuku gasped at the image, Ayano narrowed her eyes.
"Their young head—Chisaki." Nighteye said. "Quirk: Overhaul. With this power, he can disassemble things and then reassemble them. A quirk that completely allows him to break down matter, and a bullet that can break down quirks."
Ayano's teeth ground together even more tightly the longer Nighteye spoke. All she could think about was poor littler Eri.
"Chisaki has a daughter named Eri," Nighteye continued. "There are no records or details about her birth. But when Mirio, Ayano, and Midoriya, they noticed there were bandages wrapped around her arms and legs."
The heroes quickly caught on to what Nighteye was saying as many of them frowned.
"Could he really do something so horrific?" Ryukyu asked.
"Unfortunately, yes." Gran Torino replied. "In the world of superhumans, if you can dream it, you can do it."
Ayano's body was almost shaking at this point as the bile in her stomach rose. She knew…she knew Eri had to be going through something terrible, but she didn't think it was…it was that.
"Hold on…what are they talking about?" Eijiro asked as he didn't quite understand.
"Once again, why do we have children in this meeting?" Rock Lock questioned. "I'll say this one time: We're wondering if this Chisaki bastard is turning his daughter's body into bullets and selling them on the black market."
As Ayano's classmates finally understood, their expressions turned into ones of horror.
"To be clear, we're not actually sure if he's selling the bullets." Nighteye kept the conversation going. "At this point, their authenticity seems to be questionable. It's possible that they're still in the testing phase, and he's giving them out as samples to rally more people to his cause. We have no hard evidence. But we do know that he's gathering allies and funds from across the nation. If the completed drug allows him to annihilate someone's quirk entirely, imagine the devastation he could cause."
The entire world as they know it could completely be thrown into chaos. Not to mention, he'd destroy current society as they know it.
"Just talking about it is enough to make my blood boil." Fatgum said as he clenched his hand into a fist. "Let's go get this monster."
From across the table, Rock Lock let out a small scoff as the turned his attention to the Nighteye Agency interns.
"Would have saved us a lot of trouble if these three amateurs just got the girl away from him." Rock Lock said.
Nighteye was about to speak up to Rock Lock's comment, but was beaten to it as Ayano raised her head to glare at the man.
"And you know that for certain?" Ayano retorted shocking the man. "I don't know if the decision we made that day was right…Togata-Senpai and I both decided it was best to let Eri go as chances of successfully rescuing her then were low and if we failed, more than just her could have suffered. Not to mention the entire investigation would have been ruined."
Though even with that reasoning, Ayano still felt lower than dirt. She wished she had done something differently, but things couldn't be changed now. And wallowing in past decisions, wasn't going to help them.
"However, we also don't know if taking her then as Izuku had wanted to do would have been correct either," Ayano continued. "Either way, we made our decision and we have to live with it, not you."
She stared directly at Rock Lock as she said this as Mirio and Izuku sat silently in pure frustration at themselves. Ayano then looked away from Rock Lock to look forward.
"We will save Eri." Ayano said without any doubt. "Because I made her a promise."
As she spoke, Mirio and Izuku jumped from their seats as they looked at Nighteye with determination.
"Yeah, we will get Eri away from him next time!" Izuku vowed.
"And we'll protect her!" He and Mirio both said together.
Nighteye stared at his three interns for a moment before nodding his head in agreement.
"Indeed." He said. "That's precisely what we came here to discuss."
Rock Lock just scoffed, which gained the attention back onto him. Ayano frowning more than ever as she looked to the hero.
"You kids wanna talk big that's fine, but if what Nighteye is saying is for real that little girl is at the center of the Shie Hassaikai's entire drug operation." Rock Lock pointed out. "She might have managed to get away from Overhaul for a few minutes, but she got herself seen by a couple of heroes. You think he's still going to keep her home after that? Hell, I know I sure wouldn't, and if we go busting into their headquarters and she's not there, they're going to know that we're onto them. We gotta be sure where he's hiding."
Ayano, who didn't want to admit it, couldn't disagree with what Rock Lock was saying. But she was sure Nighteye had something in mind for that already.
"He has a point," Ryukyu said. "Do you have a plan for that, Nighteye?"
"That's our conundrum." Nighteye said. "Since we don't currently know how far they've taken their plans, success of our initial strike is crucial."
Behind him the screen changed to show a map of Japan, and on that map red and black images of the Hassaikai's mark appeared at different locations on the map.
"To that end, we've made a thorough list of groups with connections to Hassaikai." Nighteye continued. "As well as properties owned by the organization. This is our starting point. I would like all of you to investigate each coordinate on this map. It is the most logical way to narrow down our targets."
Ayano frowned because that would probably take some time. Meaning more time Eri had to spend in the clutches of Chisaki. She didn't like it, but she also knew rushing things could lead to errors they couldn't afford to make.
"So, that's why you asked minor heroes like us to join you." Mr. Brave said.
"What do you mean?" The hero beside him asked.
"Go on look," Mr. Brave said nodding to the map. "The heroes in this room all operate in one of those locals. We know the areas better than most."
As the other heroes started to notice what Mr. Brave meant, Fatgum turned to Nighteye.
"Didn't expect someone who worked with All Might for so long to be such a careful planner," Fatgum said. "Let's just go bring them down! While we'll taking our sweet time that abused girl's out there crying somewhere!"
Izuku and Mirio flinched at the man's words, and Ayano's hands—which were now resting on the table—tightened.
"We can't do this like All Might would," Nighteye said. "That's why we must be meticulous about our strategy and predictions from the outset, so that we have the higher chance of saving her."
"He's right," Gran Torino cut in. "We shouldn't rush. If we show our hand and then don't end up rescuing her then we'd just be throwing gas on the fire. Like how Stain's capture was like a beacon for criminals to seek out and join the League. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if they handed out quirk destroying weapons to those hoodlums in order to increase their recruitment."
Fatgum growled in frustration as this was all just too much talking and theorizing for his taste.
"You're thinking too dang much!" Fatgum argued. "If we keep sitting here and yapping about it, we're not going to get anything done!"
Konan looked at her mentor in concern as she's never seen him so angry before. Though she understood why he was so upset, she didn't expect him to lose his cool like this. If she ever did such a thing during a meeting, her father would have her head.
"Excuse me," Aizawa spoke up as he raised his hand. "I've got a question. I don't know the specifics of your quirk, Nighteye. Feel free to correct, but from what I've heard of it, your quirk Foresight allows you to see into the future. So, why not use it on us? That's logical right?"
Nighteye openly frowned at the question as Ayano looked towards the man. She knows Nighteye doesn't like using his quirk too much. She didn't know exactly why, but Mirio mentioned that he only used it when he absolutely had to. Even when it could be super useful, Nighteye wouldn't activate his foresight often.
"I'm sorry, but I cannot." Nighteye replied. "My foresight has some limitations. I need a full 24 hours between activation. That means I get one person then I'm spent for the rest of the day. Additionally, the future is played in my mind like a flashback. Think of it as like viewing a filmstrip. For one hour I get to watch a person's life as if it were a movie. This issue is, everything I see is from a tight perspective of the person in question. This severely limits my capacity to interpret context."
"That should still provide more than enough information to be useful." Aizawa pointed out. "And it doesn't explain why you can't do it."
Nighteye frowned as he moved his hand to push his glasses farther back on his nose.
"What if I saw imminent death in your future?" He asked. "Or worse…what if it was a cruel demise? Or something even worse…?"
He subtlety glanced in Ayano's direction as he asked this last question to see the girl had a troubled expression on her face.
"My quirk should only be employed only after we've confirmed the highest likelihood of success then it can help ensure our victory." Nighteye continued. "It shouldn't be relied upon when there are still too many uncertainties."
"Whoa, whoa, hold up," Rock Lock said. "Death is still information. If we know what's coming, we can figure out how to survive."
"You don't understand," Nighteye retorted. "It's possible what I see is unavoidable."
Ayano's hands clenched into tight fists as she thought about her nightmare. It was still so clear in her mind that she still felt nauseous when thinking about it.
"Bro, that's the only excuse you have, for real?" Rock Lock pressed while ignoring the Pro beside him who was trying to get him to calm down. "Oh, hell no. Just use it on me now. I'll show you that I can beat death."
Nighteye refused once more, and Ayano lightly frowned in concern when hearing what almost sounded like pain in her mentor's voice. It was like he feared what his quirk would show him if he looked at any of them.
'Is it because of what he had seen when looking into my future?' She wondered. 'Or something else…perhaps…both?'
She wanted to know, but at the same time she was afraid to ask. Besides, it wasn't like now was the right time considering everything that was going on.
"We should get started." Ryukyu reminded everyone who had gone silent after Nighteye's refusal to use his quirk. "There's a child in trouble. That's what's important here."
Nighteye agreed as he stood up from his seat and pushed his chair back behind him.
"We should confirm the girl's location and take her under our protection as quickly as possible using the most accurate data." Nighteye said. "I'm counting on your help…all of you."
Coco: And that's the end of that. In the next chapter, we'll learn more of the dark future that Nighteye had seen for Ayano and more into the girl's past. Also, I was going to write a chapter bonus on what happened to Ayano's adoptive parents, but that will actually be shown later on in the story as a new idea kind of popped up. An idea I'm not going to say too much on since it'd give too much away.
But speaking of the bonuses I write at the end of the chapters, I have finally decided that I'm going post those separately in a one-shot series that I'm going to title Ayonic: Side Shots. So, please, don't forget to send in those requests. Which by the way, don't have to be about the current story line. Like maybe you want to ask for a one shot about a girl's day out or maybe a random scenario about a side character you want to read more about. Like maybe even something about Royale or just something run like a beach day with Class 1-A or the OCs interacting with people they don't normally do. It'll give me some practice writing different things I might not have ever thought of and hopefully give you something fun to read. But even if I don't get too many requests, I'll try to post on the one-shots on my own from time to time as well. But please, don't feel shy in sending in a request, okay?
Well, until next time, my friends~
