Hello readers and welcome to another chapter. Now I don't know how many people have noticed but I put up a poll for who people want Fu with…if anyone. Now this also kind of is a poll for Shino because if you couldn't guess…if you pick him for her I won't use any of my other options. Anyways I still hope that you readers are still enjoying this story seeing as it is quickly becoming my longest one which honestly surprises me seeing as I never really expected myself writing another long one….and with how much I probably have still to write about I wouldn't be shocked if this one STAYS as my longest story. Whether or not you all still like it at that time is a completely different thing.

Chapter 34

After Datomi died the Shibuki, Fu, and Naruto all tried their best to clean up the damage that was made rather close to the village. They also made sure to collect the container with the remaining amount of water which Naruto made sure to keep as far away from his body as possible.

"Why would people ever use this stuff if it basically makes you have a countdown." Naruto asked looking at the container in disgust.

"Well to protect the things you care about it would be worth giving up anything." Shibuki told him quickly grabbing the container from Naruto. Now I am going to put this away later so that no one knows where it is besides the few people who are supposed to….and making sure the civilians aren't dumb enough to mention it to a ninja from another village." Shibuki told them then added to the last remembering the fact they were the reason Datomi started this mess to begin with. Still after this they quickly figured out how to deal with the rest of the problems they had around the area before heading further into the village to see how people were doing in fixing the damage that was done within the village.

~Damage Part of Village~

When the group finally reached the area most of the damage was already under control. Sadly though the buildings that were hit now were completely destroyed. For what wasn't damaged by the initial blast of the seals was burnt away by the fire that started. Thus making the damage to the village turnout to be several homes and four of the shops they had. Though the explosions also killed most of the people that lived in the building who were all civilians; which is what lead to the devastated feeling the village had.

"Why? Why would someone feel the need to attack us? We never harmed anyone and aren't even ninja!" one random civilian asked seemingly the sky. Course at this point Shibuki built up his courage and began to do what he knew was needed. So he quickly jumped onto top of a nearby village and got the attention of all citizens around him with a flare he had in his weapon pouch.

"My people what we have experience today can be called nothing but a disaster. The man that caused this has already been figured out and punished properly. Now we cannot wallow in depression for those that we have lost. Instead we need to keep moving ahead and make sure events like this can never happen again. Now rest assured that those that we have lost today will not be forgotten but instead we will make sure they have a proper burial so both they and their families may be brought to peace. Now all civilians please help try to go back to your normal days but please be respectful of the people and areas affected. As for our ninja split up and half of you guard the village as normal while the others work to clean up the damage we have received and begin to collect the bodies of the dead for their identification and burial. Finally council members we will be having a meeting in thirty minutes to talk about our plans. Attendance for all members is mandatory." Shibuki told the people who all nodded and either walked away or began to plan how to follow the orders they were given. While they did so Shibuki looked down at them sadly hoping that he could help them feel safe again. He wasn't able to watch them for too long though before the rest of the group came up to him with Jiraiya appearing soon after.

"Shibuki-nii what are we going to do to fix this? That bastard managed to make everyone terrified." Fu asked noticing how afraid all the civilians are.

"…I don't know Fu. I suppose we will just have to tighten our security more and hope that eventually people are able to both forget the things that have occurred and be able to trust visitors…but don't worry about that, it's up to me and the council to work on this. You just recover after the fight we had seeing as I am sure you are tired." Shibuki told her knowing very well that she was anything but tired but simply didn't want her to wallow in her thoughts of what has happened. He then looked over to Naruto and Jiraiya. "I am sorry you two have to see us in this horrible time but I thank you for the help Naruto-san. Now please try and enjoy the rest of your stay but I can't spend too long talking to you seeing as I have a meeting to attend." Shibuki told them with a clearly fake smile before running of somewhere.

"Argh, that bastard wanted us. Why did he have to attack the village? They didn't do anything to him!" Naruto growled out but soon felt a gentle hand on his shoulder.

"Yes, Naruto what has happened here truly is sad but this is how the world works. There are always those with power that miss-use it and pick on the weak for their own gain….and as awful as it sounds it works all too well. This is why we ninja exist; we both protect those who cannot help themselves but also get rid of the evil in this world." He told Naruto using the event as a teaching event. Course after saying this both Jiraiya and Naruto felt demonic chakra being released and looked over at Fu who was glaring at the buildings with rage in her eyes.

"This is why humans can't be trusted….what they want they take without thinking about who will be effected…that man deserved a death worse than he received." She growled out before looking away from the damage. "I am going back to my home to think." She told the two that remained on the roof before jumping away from them.

"Wait Fu!" Naruto called out only for Jiraiya to squeeze his shoulder making him focus on the old man again.

"Naruto let her think by herself for a while. It is always hard for anyone to have the veil pulled from their eyes…now how about we go back to our room and let you think about what your thoughts truly are about this as well." Jiraiya told him before jumping down to the road with Naruto and forced the boy to go with him to the hotel. Meanwhile he ignored all the untrusting stares that they received along the way and only let Naruto go when he was able to drop him onto one of the beds in the room. "Stay there and think for a while Naruto, it is they only way you will be able to clear your head." Jiraiya ordered and slightly smiled at the fact that instead of arguing Naruto simply accepted the order and began to meditate on his bed.

"Not the way I wanted to open his eyes to the reason I hunt for peace but I suppose it is better that he gets his own opinion of this world now rather than having him freeze up in a fight later." Jiraya thought neutrally before laying down on his own bed and began to write in one of his small notebooks.

~Meeting Room~

The meeting room that the council was meeting in was simply a large room with an equally large table. Now it wasn't anything too special seeing as they didn't use it enough to worry about putting money into it. Currently in said room the air was tense due to everyone being completely serious about what was going to be spoken. In the room currently was eleven people including Shibuki; five people for the ninja and five for the civilians.

"Welcome council now let this meeting begin." Shibuki told the group. "Now as you know this meeting is entirely for the recent attack on the village. Now this attack was by a single missing ninja named Datomi who was after the hero water for some reason." He explained excluding the fact that he was also going after Fu.

"…So you are telling me that one single man caused all of this just for the hero water? What kind of monster is he." One of the civilians asked.

"Really the important question is what happened to our attacker?" one of the ninja asked.

"Datomi is dead due to drinking some of the hero's water to fight a visiting ninja named Naruto, Fu, and me." Shibuki explained.

"Che, should have known that this would be that demon's fault." One of the civilian's growled out.

"What do you mean? She helped get rid of the threat to the village." Shibuki told the man.

"Yes, but I am sure that that monster has to have had some part in the reason the man attacked us in the first place." One of the ninja added in.

"D-do you have any proof of that accusation Hataki?" Shibuki asked glaring at the man.

"Your stutter tells us that it is true Shibuki; you never could lie." An elderly woman told him.

"Now thankfully the man that caused this is dead so we do not need to worry about another attack anytime soon. Though we need to punish the person who is to blame for the man attacking us in the first place. Still due to the demon help fight off the man I say instead of executing the risk factor we should instead banish it." She added as a suggestion and much to Shibuki's shock a lot of the people agreed with her.

"She was one of the key reasons for our village to become safe!" Shibuki told them but just by going off their faces he knew it didn't help her case.

"…Anyways let us put it to a vote. All raise their hands who vote for the demon named Fu to be banished from the village." A civilian told the council. After this all of the council besides Shibuki and another ninja raised their hands. "And it has been decided. She will be banished."

"No! While we have a council I am still the leader here! And just like any other ninja village this is a dictatorship meaning I have the last say! And I say we are NOT banishing Fu!" Shibuki ordered the group trying to look as intimidating as possible.

"…Shibuki it is fine if you want to try and stop this from happening but you do know most of the civilians are on our side for this. So, do you really think you would be able to subdue a civil war of this size?" The elderly women asked Shibuki who stood there thinking about just how bad his chances would be.

"Fu…I am sorry but there is nothing I can do." Shibuki thought sadly before giving up so that his village would be destroyed even more through a civil war…especially seeing as I only would have a few people with me anyways.

+Next day+

Naruto quietly woke up soon after the sun rose and stretched the sleep from his muscles.

"Hey good to see you are up so soon Naruto." Jiraiya told him with a smile. "Now I know this may seem like a bad time to you but we need to leave this village now. Seeing as they were hit by an enemy they won't trust us outsiders around here until they get back on their feet. So, in order for us to be able to easily train we will go to the next destination I have planned." Jiraiya told him but was honestly surprised that instead of arguing Naruto just accepted this and began packing. A task that he quietly did for fifteen minutes while Jiraiya happily wrote in his notebook until they both heard a knock at the door which made both of the Konoha ninja pause and look at the door.

Naruto then glanced over to Jiraiya and simply shrugged his shoulders before opening the door to find out that Shibuki was the one who knocked. "Hey Shibuki why are you here so early?" Naruto asked mildly surprised to see the man.

"Can I come in I need to ask for a big favor from you two." Shibuki told them looking clearly worried.

"Sure come on in." Naruto told the man who quickly did just that while shutting the door behind him.

"Okay, so we just finished our meeting and those bastards used it to suite their own needs." He growled out remembering the smirks they had when they got their way. "Despite my best efforts they were able to…banish Fu from this village." Shibuki told them making Jiraiya narrow his eyes a bit and Naruto became clearly furious.

"How dare those bastards do that to Fu!?" Naruto growled out with a bit of demonic chakra accidentally leaking out from him.

"Well it is a shame that people truly treat jinchuriki horribly everywhere…except maybe in Kumo…Still banishing their jinchuriki when they aren't even a 'world power' so to speak is very stupid of them. I mean as much as I hate to admit it they really are weapons that help prevent people from attacking your village seeing as they are so hard to fight and kill." Jiraiya thought as he made sure Naruto didn't let too much of the Kyubi's power out while he thought this. "Naruto calm down it won't do us any good for you to go berserk on us." Jiraiya ordered Naruto would quickly tried to breathe in and out until he was able to lock away the demonic chakra that leaked into his system. "Now why are you telling us this?" Jiraiya asked Shibuki now that he didn't have to worry about Naruto.

"Well…um…I was kind of hoping that…seeing as Naruto became her friend…and she doesn't have anyone else.."

"Just spit it out already." Jiraiya ordered the younger man.

"Right! I was hoping that you would be able to take Fu with you so I at least know she is with someone that makes her happy and can keep her safe." Shibuki begged.

"Hmm well it will be annoying to deal with having a new jinchuriki to worry about protecting but on the other side of things it would be foolish of me not to let another defense for Konoha…plus another friend for Naruto and I due owe him a lot due to the shit I let him go through.." Jiraiya thought before finally making his decision.

"Ok then I guess if she wants to come with us back to Konoah she can." Jiraiya told him causing Shibuki to gain a large smile on his face.

"Thank you! It is a relief to know that she will have someone with her even if this village betrays her yet again." Shibuki told him happy until he mentioned the betrayal. "…now I just need to tell her…this isn't gonna be good." He added then shivered in fear.

"…I will go with you and give her some support" Naruto told him sadly.

~Fu's Tree house~

"Fu? Are you home?" Shibuki calls up to the home.

"Shubki-nii? Ya, come on up." She told called down to him. With that they both jumped up into the small house and saw Fu siting peacefully seemingly having been reading a book before they came to her house judging by the book on her lap. "So, why'd you come?" She asked them both.

"Um well Fu you know I just finished with a meeting about the recent events right?" Shibuki asks already nervous.

"Ya, how did your meeting with the humans go? Did they somehow yet again place all their problems on me?" She growled out bitterly.

"Umm that is kind of what I came here.." he told her hoping she wouldn't go too berserk.

"Oh, and what did they happen to blame me for this time?" She asked annoyed.

"Well...they sort of blame you for the reason that Datomi attacked the village." He explained only for her to sigh.

"….well they aren't wrong…that man was originally going after me. Still it sucks that they blame everything else on me." Fu admitted to him.

"But Fu they…forced something this time….t-they…exiled you. Fu I am sorry but there was nothing I could do." Shibuki finally told her shocking the girl.

"Exiled me!? I knew they always hated me but to kick me from my home. From what I know…what will I do?" She asks him seeing as the forest was all she knew and her bugs were for the most part her main weapon. With that gone not only wouldn't have any clue where to go but would lose her main weapon seeing as she couldn't force them out of their habitat to what would more than likely be their death.

"N-no Fu while I am SO sorry that I have failed you we at least have a plan for you to find a new place to live and get everything you need." Shibuki told her confusing her.

"What? How did you manage that?"

"Well Fu after those bastards did that to you in the meeting Shibuki came to us and asked Ero-sennin and me to bring ya with us. So, what do you say do ya want to come with us for the rest of the training trip and then later into Konoha?"Naruto asked her who looked at him completely shocked.

"You guys don't mind me coming with you?" she asked in disbelief.

"Heh of course we don't mind you are our friend and that means we help each other when we are in need. But only if you want to come with us." Naruto told her nodding his head.

"….hmm…actually I kind of want to wait before going to another village." Fu told them honestly surprising everyone around her.

"Fu…I know you are worried but 'humans' but I would make sure you have friends and get set up nicely without anyone having to know." Naruto tells her making her smile a bit.

"Thanks Naruto-kun but I actually am doing this for a more selfish reason. You told me that a group is hunting me and they most likely will be around for a long time to come…so, I think I want to explore a bit just in case I do come to an untimely end." Fu explains a bit.

"But you would be more protected around them or in a large village" Shibuki tells her making her smile a bit at him being worried about her.

"Yes I would be safer…but all my life has been in this forest and I am honestly tired of it. I know there is a whole world out there that I haven't seen so I might as well see and experience as much as I can. This is honestly something that I have been thinking about for a while…the only reason I ever stayed with partially due to making a promise and mostly because you are the leader. But with the village getting worse and worse I was thinking about leaving soon enough even without them exiling me…so don't feel bad…I will enjoy my life…and we will always be family." She explained to him with a warm smile.

"…ok then Fu…but please promise me one thing. If you ever and I mean EVER get to a point where stuff is getting too dangerous then please go to safety. I mean every big village would happily let you in if they find out you are a jinchuriki…I think. So even if you don't want to go to Konoha there HAS to be options for you to go where there will be loads of people to help keep you safer." Shibuki tells her wanting her to be as safe as possible.

"Heh, that's just like Shibuki-nii to be so worried about safety….I promise I will try to be as safe as I can be. BUT in return you have to make sure that those assholes don't take over everything on you….I won't be around to kick their asses if they do now." Fu tells him while pointing at him.

"Y-yea I will try to keep them at bay…No I PROMISE I will become a better leader. That way eventually I will be able to override their stupid ideas and let you come home again." He tells her nervous but determined.

*ahem* "As touching as this is; You still have a problem right now Fu. Those fools weren't actually members of the Akatsuki, in fact they most likely are relatively close to the village right now. So, there is a good chance that as soon as you leave they will truly begin to hunt you down." Jiraiya explained scaring everyone.

"Y-you mean I am going to have to fight them already?" Naruto asked a bit scared. After all he knew for a fact that he was nowhere near a S rank threat.

"Thankfully this shouldn't be an issue with a jinchuriki that will most likely use all of the demon's power and my abilities they most likely won't be as tempted to pick a fight right now. For one of the few good things about the Akatsuki is that they have only a handful of members. Thus, losing even one of the members would be a blow that they hopefully won't be willing to take for a long while." Jiraiya explained. For he hoped that with nine super strong targets the ninja hopefully wont want to take any risks that may not produce results at least he hoped.

"So, little miss even if you don't want to come to Konoha right now it still would most likely be a good idea for you to come join our travels for at least a little bit." Jiraiya tells the girl. "Plus having two jinchuriki with me will make us even less of a target." He added mentally. For while he was happy to help, he still wasn't nice enough to place someone else over his won goals. And his main goal right now was to make Naruto as strong as possible.

"Hmm, ok I'll go with you." She tells him happily then adds. "So when do we leave?"

"Oh, yeah. We want to leave pretty soon so in about an hour we would like to go. But we will wait until you are sure that you have everything you need. Basically take as much time as you need to be completely ready to go and I will stall Ero-sennin till then." Naruto told her with a smile and saw her nod understanding him then quickly began to get to packing her stuff like they weren't even there.

"I guess that is about as good of a good-bye as we are going to get." Naruto told Shibuki lightly chuckling before jumping down from the treehouse with Shibuki following a few moments after.

"So, that didn't go nearly as bad as it could have been." Naruto told him calmly

"Yea, thank kami it did. I didn't want her mad at me for the rest of her life." Shibuki responded clearly relieved as well.

"But your council and a good portion of the civilians are still assholes for this." Naruto added not getting a response from the man beside him seeing as a leader couldn't complain about his own people.

~Hotel Room~

"What you told her to take her time!? Why? I told you I wanted to go this morning so that we don't have to deal with the village not trusting us and so we can keep training." Jiraiya asks while glaring at the blond.

"Well she won't be able to see this place again so it is best if she gets everything done now…besides I am surprised you aren't holding us up as well. I mean isn't it women's only day at the hot springs?" Naruto asked the man whose eyes widened a bit before he quickly ran out of the room as fast as he could.

"Dumb pervert. I don't even know if the hot spring is OPEN right now." Naruto thought with a chuckle before sitting down on the bed and unsealed a book to wait for both of his traveling companions to come back. After a while Jiraiya came rushing back in furious.

"Oy it wasn't girls day brat! In fact the only people that were there were guys!" Jiraiya complained.

"Oh, really…must have heard wrong." Naruto told him with a shrug clearly not caring.

"Grr damn it boy do you know how important my research is? Millions of people are desperate for my stories and the only way I can give it to them is my studies." Jiraiya told Naruto who laughed a bit.

"Ha, the only reason you do your 'research' is because you are a pervert. In fact I am sure that anyone with a half decent story will be able to do better than you who just relies on perverts who are like you." Naruto told him.

"Prove it."Jiraiya told him simply.

"Huh?"

"I dare you to make a story and see if you can manage to beat my book sales. If you do then I will admit that then I will…uh stop my research for a month. BUT if you lose then you have to admit that my books are masterpieces and buy a set of my books." Jiraiya told him.

"Uh…you know what sure I will take the bet." Naruto told him confident that he could win.

"Good luck brat…you're gonna need it." Jiraiya told him cockily. Soon after they shook on this bet they heard a knock at the door and saw that Fu finally arrived with a large backpack on her back.

"Hello Fu. You ready to go?" Naruto asked her getting a nod from the girl who seemed depressed at the moment. "What's wrong?" he added worried only for her to walk away with both of them following seeing as they were both completely ready to go. When they made it outside the building they finally understood why she was so upset. For the entire village apparently heard the news of her being banished and were celebrating. "These bastards." Naruto finally muttered out shocked that these people would be so horrible.

"Now you understand why I hate humans." Fu told him sadly.

"…let's go." Jiraiya told both of them deciding to not even comment about the village and simply lead the two of them away before either one lost their temper and did something they would regret. And with that they all left the village with Fu saying a quick goodbye to Shibuki and took one last look at the village.

~Akatsuki base~

"Those bastards sucked and just died like the weak bitches they are." Hidan complained.

"Yes, but they did give us some valuable information." Kakuzu told him.

"Huh? How the hell did they do that?"

"They showed us that our prey is weak." He told him simply

"How the hell did it show us that? She killed those fuckers." Hidan asked confused.

"No, while she did end their lives she was not the one to fight. The blond boy was the one showing his skill meanwhile our target simply sat on the side waiting till he gave her the opportunity to kill them. So she showed us that she must be weak with things like taijutsu otherwise she would have helped him more." Kakuzu explained.

"But what if she just simply didn't want to help."

"And you think any ninja worth anything would let someone just protect them if they could do it themselves?" Kakuzu asks him as if he was stupid.

"But the bitch can use her demonic powers fucken well." Hidan adds.

"Yes, but we can still easily beat her…the one that is interesting is the blond jinchuriki…but he is not our target so I don't really care about him." Kakuzu admitted.

"But eventually our group will have to get them both…so why don't we get both of them now?"

"Well we could but the group isn't paying me for that…why should I worry about getting him when it is someone else's job and won't even bring me any extra money?" Kakuzu told him causing his crazy partner to laugh.

"You focus so much on your damn money Kakuzu. But if the leader finds out he won't be happy."

"Oh well he knows that I have much more important money related things then worrying about a target we can collect at any time. Now focus on getting ready for collecting our target. We will be going in tomorrow.

"Ah, you always know just what to say to keep me happy!" Hidan told him happily while sharpening his scythe was sharp enough for him to perform his ritual as many times as he needed to.

And with that they both quietly waited until they decided to go after their target.

And that is where I am going to end it here seeing as I am thinking of just using cuts of the next two years of the training session. Mainly because the things that I can sort of want to write for the next one will not be a full chapter long. Also I think it is about time to get some more progress done in this story.

Now before I start the next chapter I will say that the zombie duo will NOT catch her seeing as they have no clue that she is leaving the day before they go for her. Though they may just kill off a few villagers just because they really are dicks…even if I made them that way

Also I have made a poll for what to do with Fu. Just reminding you that it is there. I mean starting either next episode or so the romance will restart probably seeing as not only are they older but they get to see each other after so long…so yea I guess you can kind of look forward to that. Though I am sorry that my chapters are smaller but there was no better spot to stop this really. Ja Ne.
