Hello readers welcome to the next chapter of my story. Now before I begin I have a favor to ask of a reader that might possibly be reading my stuff…possibly. You see I recently found a story that is a DBZ/ High School DxD crossover called "Chronicles of Gohan Dxd" by Red Joker 042. This story is already pretty long and in my opinion pretty darn good but sadly it had to be abandoned by him/her. This is due to (their own reason written down) that they became too busy in medical school. So, due to this I can't blame them but I don't want the story to fade away. So, if someone feels up to the task please message him/her asking to continue/take inspiration from it. Personally I am also going to keep an eye on this writer's stories just in case they start something up again that I want to read (which probably won't happen for at least a few years). Now before you even say it no I am not going to take this up myself seeing as I personally don't think I can do the story justice…plus a part of me just because I liked reading it too much. Also if you haven't read any of their stories to give it a look and see if you would like to read any of it. Personally I think even abandoned stories are worth a read every now and then even if it usually feels awful when they end (for this one I just want to at least try to help it). Chapter 52

_Training ground; Naruto, Kakashi, Yamato_

At the training ground Naruto and his clones were still hard at work trying to cut the waterfall in half and surprisingly were making some progress. Though this was more than likely due to him spending a decent amount of time working with the element through his previous training. Currently both the original Naruto and all of his clones were all working with their shirt and pants off due to the fact that the wet shirt quickly was getting annoying. In fact, the only reason they still had boxers on was simply because Kakashi threatened that they would leave him to have to figure it out with no help if he took them off.

"Do you think he will manage to do it today?" Yamato asks Kakashi after glancing up at his progress from his book. A book he was now thankful to have brought due to not being able to focus on meditating anymore.
"Hmm, probably not but knowing Naruto he probably won't stop until he does" Kakashi told him not even bothering to look up from his book. "Oh yea…Naruto remember to change out your clones ever now and then. Then your next set will retain the progress of the previous!" Kakashi called out to Naruto who did just that.

Seeing this Yamato didn't say anything else but instead watched Naruto for a bit noticing that he created an extra clone for some reason that ran out of the training grounds before he went back to work. "Hmm I wonder what that was about." Yamato thought slightly curious but didn't ask the blonde.

If he was to have asked he would have gotten the simple answer of the fact that Naruto is still caring for others even while he was focused on training. For, the clone was sent out to let each one of his girlfriends know where he would be for a decent while in case they needed him for some reason and to also let Haku know so she wouldn't make food for him and have it go to waste. A tip that he needed to give the girl seeing as just like Kakashi thought he had no plans of leaving the training ground until he got it down. Or at least until he was needed for something by either the girls or by Tsunade.

After that clone was sent out Naruto continued to work on his project with the clones throughout the rest of the day while replacing his clones every hour or two to get the progress they made as well. Still soon enough the sun was going down and he still wasn't there yet. On the bright side though was that he would occasionally partially stop the water making him feel that he was truly close.

~Hokage Tower~

Team 11 were currently in Tsunade's office after literally rushing to get their gear ready as fast as they could. They still had no idea why they were being called but knew whatever it was clearly was very important. A fact that was made even clearer when they saw just how serious she was.

"Asuma I have called your team to look into a distress message we received…from the fire temple." Tsunade told the man who looked at her shocked.

"Someone attacked the temple?" He asked in utter shock.

"Yes, it seems a duo of strong ninja attacked the temple and the message only warns of them making me dread that the worst outcome has become of them. So, you are to go see if you are capable of helping the temple or to take care of it if my fears are correct. Also, if you meet these ninja you are allowed to attack to kill but be warned that they are at least A-S rank ninja according to the message. They are both wearing black cloaks with red clouds on them and one of the men has a large scythe as his main weapon though it is unknown where they have went. Procced with caution." Tsunade told them.

"Hai Hokage-sama!" They all mutter before quickly leaving her office and speed off to the village's gate hoping there would be something to help when they reach the fire temple.

"Damn it please don't let it be the Akatsuki..if they are moving now than this world just got a lot more dangerous for everyone…especially Naruto." Tsunade thought making a mental note to contact Jiraiya about this as well.

_Team 11_

After leaving the village Asuma quickly began running towards the temple as fast as he could leaving his partially surprised team to have to catch up. Though due to knowing their leader they couldn't blame the man.

"Sensei is there any reason for these people to have attacked the temple?" Shikamaru asks.

"No, there is nothing there I could think of anyone going through great lengths to get…unless! Those bastards." Asuma growls out.

"What's wrong?" Ino asked concerned.

"The lead monk there has had a bounty on his head for a while but he was so strong I never thought anyone would ever risk facing him for it let alone facing all of his disciples just to get it." Asuma told them honestly hoping that he was wrong about what he assumed the reason.

"W-what?" Ino mumbles out surprised seeing as she never heard of a bounty hunter willing to go through so much trouble for someone that in her eyes never did anything wrong.

"Let's just hope we aren't too late then." Shikamaru tells them then they all continued on full speed hoping that there would be someone or even something to help when they reached the temple.

~Fire temple~

When the group reached the area what they saw stunned and horrified. For all around the temple was signs of the battle and sadly the bodies of the monks all around. A sight that made Ino gasp and just stare at the brutality just like Choji was, Asuma was gritting his teeth clearly furious, and Shikamaru was looking a bit stunned but was trying to keep himself focused.

"C-come on we need to see if there is anyone to help." He told the group who partially got shook out of their funk and agreed with him. They then went along with the plan while Asuma was trying to push side all of the memories of the place he trained at. As they walked through the area they found most of the monks were already gone but surprisingly did find a small group of younger monks that were already working on trying to move the dead to an area where they could be properly taken care of.

"Thank Kami there are some survivors." Choji sighed out happy that at least they found a few people alive even after this horrible event. Course one of the monks just looked at him clearly ashamed.

"Yes but that is only because we weren't strong enough for the group to let us join to protect our home…they forced us into a secret room of the temple and sealed the door with a seal making it impossible for us to leave until the chakra ran out…and when it did they were already all gone." The monk told them. Asuma then walked to the man and put his hand on the monk's shoulder.

"No there is nothing for you to be ashamed of. They didn't lock you away because you were too weak. They put you there so that the temple could live on." Asuma explained to the now surprised monk. "If those assholes got all of you then no one will be able to teach the temple's ways. I hope all of you understand that the fact you weren't allowed to fight was not an insult but to help the temple in another way" He told the guy trying to make him feel a bit better.

"T-thank you for letting us realize that." The monk told him clearly relieved at least of his shame but still was clearly traumatized by the event. "B-but please you have to find those two. We can't find the head monk's body anywhere to give him a respectful burial. I fear they must have taken him." The monk told them confirming Asuma's fear.

"Don't worry we will find them." He told the monk determined before their group left the temple grounds leaving the monks to do their work while they finished their mission.

"Asuma-sensei is it wise for us to attack two high level ninja we know nothing about?" Shikamaru asks knowing that in a way their mission could be taken as to hunt said ninja down. He just didn't know if they were prepared to fight ninja at that level.

*sigh* "I know it's dangerous to go into this fight pretty much blind but I just have to get revenge for what these bastard's did…if all of you don't feel confident in being able to fight S-" He began knowing it is kind of unfair to force his team to fight ninja that seem to be at S rank when all of them were B or A rank at best.

"Sensei we are a team. If you run into a fight then we will support you all we can." Ino told him confidently. For even though she felt nervous about the fight they were strong as a team with how well all of them molded together. Besides if he tried to go by himself he would more than likely die and they all cared for the older ninja.

Hearing this Asuma looked at each of his students and saw the confidence in their faces. "I have made many mistakes in my life but this team is the farthest thing I've had from them…it might have been a rough start for us but now they truly are a team through thick and thin." Asuma thought with a small smirk feeling proud of his students but quickly got refocused.

"Okay so we will start our search at the closest bounty station and spread out from there. But remember these ninja are no joke so make sure you stay with the team at all times and make sure to keep your guard up." Asuma told them who nodded before they all rushed away from the temple determined to find the two that did this.

~Konoha; Naruto's house~

Haku was relaxing while reading a book in the living room when she heard a knock on the door.

"Come in." She called to the door and saw Sakura walk into the room holding a small bag in one of her hands. "Hello Sakura-san." Haku told the girl giving her a smile.

"Hello Haku…do you know where Naruto-kun went?" Sakura asked the girl who laughed a bit.

"I haven't seen him since his 'team' ordered him to train them this morning. Why do you need him?" She asked curious.

"Well to be honest I was kind of hoping he would be willing to be a…test subject of sorts." Sakura told the girl honestly. "You see with my studies I think I have found a recipe that is stronger than a soldier pill but doesn't increase the risks. So, to get a good idea if it did or not I wanted him to try it seeing as in theory he should be the easiest to see it in." Sakura explained. For with a soldier pill it is thought that it gives a percent of the users chakra back. So, in theory it should be easy to see the difference in Naruto seeing as he has such a large amount to regain.

"Hmm…well I will be sure to tell him you came by and explain it to him." Haku told her seeing as she couldn't do too much else. At this point though they heard the door open again and saw Naruto come walking in.

"Speak of the baka and he shall appear." Sakura muttered mentally laughing at her own joke. "Perfect just the man I was looking for." She told the blond after getting over her own joke.

"Sorry Sakura-chan, I am only a clone. In fact I came to let Haku-chan and the others know where I am if they needed me. For currently the real me is working on a really important project with Kakashi-sensei and Yamato-sensei in training ground 18." Naruto told them.

(Note I don't know if they ever mention where they did this training and really it isn't important anyways)

"Oh ok then. Thank you for letting me know." Haku told the clone happy to see that Naruto was thinking about them even while he was doing one of his other loves; training. Both girls then watch as Naruto waves goodbye at them and then poofs out of existence.

"Hmm…this is perfect!" Sakura says happily after thinking for a second much to Haku's confusion. "He already will be low on chakra due to training so this will be the perfect time for my medicine's test run. By Haku." Sakura says happily before rushing out of the apartment herself to go to the training ground.

"…and I am all alone again." Haku mumbles before putting a kettle on the stove to boil for some tea. She then sat back down and started reading again with a small smile on her face. "Might as well relax seeing as I won't be needed as a servant for a few days...plus even servants need some time to relax every now and then." She thought fully planning on enjoying the time she would have by herself until she could be Naruto's 'servant' properly again. After all there is only so much cleaning you can do without someone messing it up until there is just nothing left to get any cleaner.

~Training grounds~

At the training ground Naruto was still working on cutting the waterfall though now had a smile on his face. For with each new batch of clones he could feel that it was just out of his reach. In fact, he was determined to think that in this 'session' he would actually do it.

Down below the beam though Yamato and Kakashi still were doing their own things to pass time as they watched their student show just how much chakra he has.

"Hard to believe he has been training since this morning." Yamato says looking up at the blond who didn't appear to be slowing down anytime soon.

"Hey!" Sakura yelled happily waving as reached the two older ninja.

"Hello Sakura-chan." Kakashi told him with an eye smile as he ignored the annoyed twitch she had when she saw his book. Thankfully for him though her mind was quickly brought back to her reason to be there.

"Hello sensei" Sakura told her teachers respectfully. "Hey Naruto!" She then yelled out to the blond who glanced down at them. "Can you come down here for a second!?" She yelled at him only getting a shrug as she watched Naruto dispel all of his clones then finally jumping off.

"What'cha need Sakura-chan?" Naruto asked with a small smile on his face.

"Well I heard that you were training out here and I just wanted to show my support by letting you test on my new upgraded soldier pill idea. They will give you a boost in chakra and are full of healthy ingredients that will help you keep training for even longer." Sakura told him with a smile clearly proud of her product.

"Hmm…a soldier pill upgrade huh? Well I guess I could give it a try." Naruto told the girl wanting to help his friend. So, he took one of the brown pills and immediately noticed it was ten times bigger than a soldier pill. Still he shrugged that off and stuck it in his mouth and began to eat it until he actually tasted it. "Ugh…this taste…I am use to eating bad food as a kid but even this is ten times worse than anything I had before." Naruto though with his face quickly becoming sickly green. Though he did slightly notice in the back of his mind that he did seem to 'gain' about four times as much chakra as he did through a regular soldier pill. He was more focused on trying to force himself to swallow the pill though at the current moment to care about that part sadly.

"Umm..well it does certainly work Sakura-chan but I think you need to make it more appetizing…I mean appealing to others. I mean it is too big and the taste is…different." Naruto told the girl not wanting to completely insult the product that she clearly was proud of.

"Hmm ok then I will work on those points then. Though I am glad that they actually work." Sakura told him still happy and then put the bag of them on a nearby stump. "Tell you what. As a reward for being my test subject I will leave these with you that way you can keep training the night away." Sakura told him failing to notice how green he got. She then turned to her teachers. "But before I go do you guys want to try one?" She asked them almost pleading to get more test subjects. Sadly for the girl both of them noticed Naruto's face and knew that there was NO way they would let themselves taste something that bad.

"Um…no thank you Sakura-chan…um we wouldn't want to waste them!" Kakashi told her trying to find an actual decent lie to tell the girl. "A-after all we both have our stores of chakra full." He explained to her.

"Hmm, I guess you are right. It's not healthy to take medicine you don't need or to overfill your chakra coils.." She mumbled alright with their answer but failing to notice the sighs of relief the men had.

"Well anyways have fun training Naruto-kun. I am gonna go work on the ideas you gave me." She told Naruto then walked away from the group with a smile on her face. Course as soon as she left Naruto quickly ran to the lake the waterfall was feeding and began to drink the water until he felt he washed as much of the taste as he could out of his mouth.

"Ugh I love that Sakura-chan is willing to help out her friends so much but this 'help' is going to be the end of me." Naruto thought looking at the bag of upgraded soldier pills like they were a beast that was just waiting to come get him.

"Anyways Naruto" Kakashi said getting his attention. "Now that you have tried Sakura-chans 'upgraded' soldier pill it is time to get back to work." He told the blond pitting him a little bit for having to try the medicine but they still had work to do. After all he needed to have at least one strong jutsu to use when the Akatsuki came for him. "Oh, and to motivate you. If you don't finish it before the sun completely sets then I will have to make you take one of these soldier pills before you continue so we don't risk chakra exhaustion." Kakashi told him pointing at the bag Sakura left.

"B-but I would still have plenty of chakra." Naruto told him but got an eye smile in response.

"Just to be on the safe side though…now if you don't want to risk having another you better work hard instead of trying to talk me out of making sure you are 'safe.'" Kakashi told him making the blond glare at him but still head back up to work. Course Kakashi could still hear Naruto cursing his name under his breath as he did. "I guess I should thank Sakura later; she gave me some impressively strong motivation." Kakashi thought mentally laughing at the blond's reaction to said motivation.

_Kakuzu and Hidan_

The two akatsuki members were currently walking calmly away from the bounty office they exited just a few minutes ago.

"There you got your shitty money now can we get this mission over with?" Hidan asked annoyed ignoring the KI coming off his partner.

"Never call money shitty or I will kill you." Kakuzu told his partner then was slightly surprised to find that his partner suddenly stopped mid-step for some reason. Course he couldn't think about it for long due to having to quickly jump a few feet back to avoid a blast of water that slammed into the ground he stood before. Before he could retaliate at the person that attacked him though an earth wall sprouted out of the ground in front of him. Meanwhile his partner was glaring down at the black substance around his feet that was preventing him from moving. Though before he could struggle too much he sensed an attack coming and saw Asuma running at him. Asuma had a trench knife out that was coated in wind chakra. Said knife easily hit its mark and cleanly cut Hidan's head right from his body.

After Hidan's head hit the ground the rest of Asuma's team joined him and looked over to the side where Kakuzu was calmly walking around the wall. "We've dealt with your partner now you will pay for what you have done." Asuma growled at the man who surprisingly didn't even blink at seeing his partner's head near him.

"Asuma Sarutobi it is so nice of you to bring your bounty to me. And so close to the station as well." Kakuzu told him ignoring his surprised students for the most part.

"Who is this guy? We kill his partner and heavily out number him but yet the first thing he says is that we 'brought him a bounty'" Ino thought disgusted by the man in front of her. She then glanced over at her teammates curious what their reaction was only to have her own eyes widen. She then quickly went through several hand seals as fast as she could and aimed right at Shikamaru much to his surprise. "Water Jutsu: Water trumpet" She called out.

Thankfully Shikamaru rolled out of the way of the attack and was about to try and figure out what was wrong with his teammate until he noticed that the body that he was standing by was now several feet away from him. Course that wasn't what made him look; it was the fact that the body was standing back up by itself.

"Che, just fucking great. First they cut my damn head and then I didn't even get to cut them up as revenge." Hidan growled out from where his head was much to all of their shock.

"Oh, quit your moaning. We will be able to kill them all the same. Just bring your body over here." Kakuzu told him not caring to hear his complaints.

"No! These bastards are mine!" Hidan told Kakuzu who simply nodded not caring seeing as either way he would get his bounty. At this point though Hidan's body was able to walk past the still shocked team and quickly picked up his head and placed it on his neck. He then held it there as Kakuzu brought a hand up to his neck and had some of his 'stiches' come out from somewhere and quickly tied his head back onto his body. Hidan then rolled his neck a little bit before looking over at the team with a crazed smile on his face. "You ready to be sacrificed bastards?" He asked happily while they all jumped back several feet with them all on guard.

"W-what is he!" Choji asked seeing what he thought was impossible happen.

"I don't know but we can't focus on that. We need to focus on fighting." Shikamaru told his friend then saw Hidan run at them with his scythe ready to attack. "Here he comes!" he added though Asuma quickly clashed with the scythe user blocking it using his two trench knifes. The rest of them simply watched as the two of them began to clash blades in a wild pattern looking for a way to help their sensei while keeping an eye on Kakuzu who was calmly sitting on the earth wall that was created earlier.

"Hmm what is going on here?" Shikamaru thinks watching Hidan's wild attacks. "Sure he seems to be immortal or at least hard to kill seeing as he didn't die when we took his head off but right now he isn't seeming all that dangerous. Sure he is swinging his scythe randomly but that can be easily blocked by someone experience like Asuma-sensei….he has to have some sort of technique of some sort technique that makes him a lot more dangerous." Shikamaru thought trying to figure out their opponent. Course at this point Asuma was thinking about the same thing as he blocked all of the wild strikes. For his opponent really didn't seem to be trying to sneak any other strikes in but instead just swinging until he hits. Still eventually after dozens of blows he finally made a small mistake and Hidan was able to nick his cheek causing him to spill out a small amount of blood onto the scythe. A sight that made Hidan's smile grow as he jumped away from the group much to their confusion.

"Finally time to start the sacrifice." Hidan calls out then licks the blood off of his weapon making his skin turn black with white marks as if they were his bones. He then quickly makes a star mark and stands on it.

Undeterred by this weirdness Asuma charges at him aiming to stab him only to watch as Hidan pulls out a collapsible spike and stab himself in the upper thigh. Much to his surprise though he all of a sudden felt a large amount of pain coming from his leg and looked down to see a stab wound that. "What?" He thought confused as to how he was hit but quickly had to look back up and see they scythe coming down to bisect him. So, he quickly blocked the blade with one of his trench knifes and used the other to cut a slash across Hidan's chest without thinking about it. Sadly though shocked yet again when he felt as if the same thing happened to him making him quickly jump back to his team. He then quickly looks at his chest and notices that while his vest wasn't cut he could feel blood being soaked into his clothes.

"Asuma-sensei!" Ino calls out horrified.

"Ino heal him as much as you can." Shikamaru orders the girl who nods and quickly pulls her sensei behind her teammates. "Choji we need to get him off of that circle. Whatever is happening is because of that symbol." He tells his other teammate who nods.

"Che, as if I will let you bastards heal that fucker." Hidan grumbles pulling the spike out of his leg and tried to stab himself in the heart only for Shikamaru to quickly stop him using his shadow possession technique. Choji then began to help by making his arm extend and began to push Hidan back. Both of these jutsus together were able to move the man out of the circle though it took a lot out of Shikamru and a little out of Choji. "Now while he is out of the circle we take him down, and do NOT let him get back on it." Shikamaru told the team then through a kunai at Hidan who let it scratch him across the cheek. He then looks over at Asuma and sees that the man was fine. "Yes, the symbol has to be the key. Don't let him get to it."

They all then began to try and take Hidan out but somehow he was able to fend them all off rather well even though before he showed that he showed no skill other than force. Still while they were using a lot of chakra in the process they were causing a decent amount of damage.

"What does it take to put this monster down." Choji mumbles looking at the beat up man that was facing them as if he was completely fine and rested. He didn't get an answer thought seeing as Hidan charged at them yet again which Asuma quickly did as well. This time though Asuma manages to hook the scythe just enough to it out of Hidan's hands and quickly launched it a ways behind him. He then uses his other knife and slashes at Hidan taking one of his arms off as the man failed to doge the blow completely.

"Damn bastard!" Hidan growled out course Asuma just stood there looking at the man.

"You were tough to fight but now without your weapon and one of your arms you are at a severe disadvantage. I suggest you surrender." Asuma tell the man having no desire to cut the man into pieces until he found a way to kill him…even if he did kill his mentor. Meanwhile his team was standing around the area clearly tired but ready to fight in a moment's notice.

"As if I would ever surrender to you fucking shit wads!" Hidan growled at them before using the one hand he had left to pull on a chain that was in his sleeve. Asuma then looked behind him and saw that the scythe was coming at him fast. So, he quickly dodge to the side but failed to notice the smile on Hidan's face. Everyone then heard the sickening sound of flesh being cut and see Hidan with his own scythe sticking in his chest.

*cough* They all heard soon after and quickly looked at Asuma who now had a lot of blood on his chest and around his mouth. Shikamaru then looks over to Hidan in horror and see that they accidentally let him back on the symbol.

"Asuma-senei!" Ino cried out watching as the man feel to his knees with the life fading from his eyes quickly.

And there we go, a lot of progress was made in this chapter. We are well on our way to Naruto learning his 'ultimate' technique and to Asuma dying. Now I know that for many of you this may annoy you but come on it is the world of ninja. Death to characters will happen. Just be happy that I haven't tried to kill off more and/or one of the girls Naruto loves…because I was tempted to do so just because it isn't done too much and would be interesting to try. Anyways just to let all of you know I have been able to think for a good while and now have a few ideas where I can take this stories end…and to be honest I am leaning towards one that many may not like. Still we will see where this story takes us. Ja Ne.
