Hello Readers and welcome to the next chapter. Yes I am finally back after taking a break from stuff for a while. In all honesty it did feel nice to not have to worry about keeping on schedule but I am just as busy as before with life stuff annoyingly enough. Adulting sucks at times…still I will try to finish this story off before I even think of taking another break from writing again. But as for the people that want me to work on my other stories I just want to let you know I am thinking about them. It is just that due to being so busy it is hard to try and get one of them out more regularly…course I will hopefully be able to give you a chapter now and then.

Chapter 70

~ Orochimaru's Base ~

In the main room of the underground base there currently was a large amount of ninja doing their final checks of their equipment as they prepared for their upcoming battle. The group itself equaled to around sixty-four ninja not including the team set up for the seals. Though behind them were at least one hundred daku wandering around.

"I wonder why they have so many people around for this mission. I mean they are S class but come on they can't be THAT much stronger than us." A random ninja told the person sharpening a simple katana beside him.

"…don't question Lord Orochimaru's orders. If he summoned us all for this task then these numbers must be needed." His neighbor told him causing the first man to glare at him.

"Pheh, maybe for you but thanks to his upgrades I am at least twice as strong as I was before I came here. Heh, I bet I will be able to take one of them on myself." He says proudly. Though his neighbor just looks at the man before shacking his head and going back to sharpening his sword. Thankfully at this point Kabuto walked into the room drawing the attention of every person there. Still, he paid no mind to any of them and simply walked to the front of the room.

"As all of you know the mission is to completely wipe out the Akatsuki. Failure is not an option and I expect each one of you to accomplish your parts. Now make sure that each one of you knows your teammates and your targets. We leave in thirty minutes." He finished before calmly taking out a book and looking through it. "I do wonder though just how many of these fools will die taking them down. After all these fools have no idea just how much of a difference in strength there is." Kabuto thinks truly not caring about any of the men.

About thirty minutes later Orochimaru finally came into the room with a smile on his face. He then walked calmly over to Kabuto not sparing any of the people in the room a glance. "Are we ready Kabuto-kun?" Orochimaru asks making the young man close his book and look at his master.

"Hai, all preparations are made. We are ready to move out whenever you are." Kabuto tells him calmly.

"Kukuku wonderful." Orochimaru mutters before walking out of the base.

"All teams follow Lord Orochimaru, and remember complete your tasks at all cost." Kabuto calls out quickly catching up to his master before hearing all of the beings left in the room following behind them. A sight that would make most people terrified of the large squad of individuals. As soon as Orochimaru was outside the base he quickly summoned his old Akatsuki ring dangling on a necklace. This ring that he worked on was now able to point him in the direction of the Akatsuki's main base after chakra was pushing into it. After doing so it would float in the direction the base is. So, after a quick check he took off at a basic ninja traveling speed.

(ANE: this ring fact is completely made up for those wonder (Im sure there isn't many))

+Several hours later+

After traveling for a long time Orochimaru finally saw a large mountain only a few miles in the distance and stopped. He then looked back at the group he had behind him and saw all of the seal users were completely exhausted while most of the ninjas were mildly out of breath. Though of course his daku showed no signs of any fatigue at all besides a few having some scrapes from going through forests.

"Set up camp we will rest here. All teams take this time to prepare for your targets. We leave as soon as recon is finished." Orochimaru told the group who quickly took the offer of resting. Not even sparing a glance at the mountain. Though they did see their precious leader quickly summoned several small snakes that quickly slithered away. He then sat down calmly right next to Kabuto who kept looking around the area for any enemies. Thankfully though after two hours the snakes finally came back to their master.

"Kukuku, what luck they are all present." Orochimaru thinks happily. "Finally, I will have my revenge on those that dared to impede my search for the perfect immortal body." Orochimaru thinks happily. "Kabuto rally the troops. We attack in ten minutes." Orochimaru told him before looking over at four of the extra seal team members. "Meanwhile You four each follow one of these snakes as they take you to a seal. When I give the signal remove the seal they lead you to." He tells the ninja who nod and quickly go their separate ways.

+Ten Minutes later+

After time has passed Kabuto rallied the troops and they all began to walk until they were at the base of a steep mountain.

"Um..Lord Orchimaru why are we here. I don't see any entrance." A random ninja asked only to watch as Orochimaru simply walked through the base of the mountain. Stunned they quickly followed their leader. And much to their surprise the mountain they were in front of shrunk to be about half the height it originally appeared to be.

"This just goes to prove that you should never question Lord Orochimaru." Another ninja tells his teammate smacking the original one in the back of the head.

"Ah, you fucker who do you think you are messing with?"

"An idiot."

"Bring it cock sucker!" The man growled out and raised his fist only to stop when he felt a decent amount of KI fall on him.

"We have brought you here to complete your mission not to kill each other. Do your own thing when your master doesn't require you." Kabuto told the man with a glare quickly making the man back off.

"Kukuku my have the mighty fallen. All these high bounty group members and the best security they can set around a base is a simple genjutsu." Orochimaru said amused. He then walked to the entrance that had a large boulder with a seal on it. "Seal team take position!" Orochimaru ordered and watched as the team quickly surrounded the base. He then felt a snake move under his clothes to his ear and began to hiss at him.

"Kabuto tell the four we sent out to pull the seal in one minute." Orochimaru tells Kabuto who quickly relays the message over his microphone. Kabuto then turned to the seal team member beside him. "Start the seals activation process." To which the man nodded and began pumping his chakra into the scroll he sat on the ground in front of him.

Said scroll began to glow a light blue and a line formed and traveled over to where the next scroll bearer was. A process that continued for about forty seconds until the line finally connected with the man in front of Kabuto. After it connected the line became a bit brighter as a large number of symbols began to quickly appear on the inside of the circle. Soon after the symbols fully filled the circle the entire thing entirely faded leaving the only sign that it has been done being the fact that the man in front of them was completely exhausted. In fact, he fell to his knees and was panting heavily.

"All…set…up….my…lord" the man panted out to Orochimaru who smirked.

"Wonderful." Orochimaru muttered then glance over at a random ninja. "Destroy the rock and then everyone else charge in and attack your targets." The man quickly did just that and as soon as the last bit of rock fell the entire group entered the cave and saw each remaining member of the Akatsuki in person standing on large pillars.

"Orochimaru…why are you here?" Pein asked narrowing his eyes at the intruders. Course his glare had no effect on the snake master who calmly walked in front of his group.

"Kukuku I can't come say hello to my old friends?" Orochimaru asked with a smirk on his face.

"Che, Can I just kill this bastard?" Kisame asks with his KI getting stronger by the second.

"Now now Kisame-kun let's settle down. After all I brought some friends that would love to keep you company." Orochimaru told the fishman before motioning to the groups behind him who quickly rushed past their leader.

"Heh, I guess we should separate to take care of this trash." Kisame muttered jumping away from his own pillar with several of the Akatsuki doing the same.

_Kisame vs ten_

"So, only ten of you decided to follow huh? Do you really think that this will be enough to defeat me?" Kisame asks placing his wrapped blade on his shoulder.

"Let's see if you are still that cocky after you face the upgrades Lord Orochimaru gave us." One of the men told Kisame with a glare before his skin tone turned darker and he rushed straight towards Kisame who calmly waited until he was close before swinging Samehada at the man. Said blade quickly pushed its scales past the bandage and hit the man shredding his chest up while flinging the man to the side. The sound ninja then slammed against the wall and didn't make any more movement.

"One fool down, nine more to go." Kisame told them with a smirk. Course none of the other members said anything to the man and simply launched several water blasts at him which simply made him laugh as he easily dodged the water. "You really don't know anything about your targets, do you?" Kisame then quickly forms several seals and launches several sharks made completely out of water at the group who managed to dodge each blast as well.

"Heh, why should we bother learning about you if your attacks are gonna be that slow." One of the sound ninja told Kisame who continued to laugh.

"Oh, you want me to be faster huh?" Kisame asks quickly appearing right next to the man that made the comment as the rest of the group jumped away from both of them. He then quickly made a giant water sphere around both of them. He then transformed his own body to be more shark like. "Well how about I show you just how fast I can be." He cockily told the man who simply smirked at him.

"Go ahead. But I am glad you are as cocky as Lord Orochimaru told us you were." The man told him confusing Kisame until he felt the man mold a large amount of chakra. Chakra that quickly became visible as blue sparks coming off of his skin. A sight that makes Kisame realize what was going on and tried to get away but it was too late. For Kisame was only able to get a few feet away from the sound ninja before a large amount of electricity filled the water sphere.

"Gahh!" was all Kisame could mutter as the lightening hit him and was strong enough to leave him a spasming on the floor. "Damn it I need to move!" Kisame thought as he tried to regain control of his body. Sadly for him before he was able to gain much control over his body before he felt several swords pierce through his body. The team of sound ninja then watched as a large amount of blood flowed out of his many wounds.

"Huh what do you know it seems that Daki was right, cockiness really was this fish's fatal weakness." One of the sound ninja muttered looking over where the water sphere was. There rested the charred remains of what use to be Daki laying on the ground basically completely black thanks to the high voltage that just passed through his body. "May he be proud that his suicide attack was not in vain."

"Heh, yeah he died so that we can be praised by Lord Orochimaru." One of the men stated happily and stuck a syringe into Kisame's back.

They all then watched as a black blood being was commanded to walk over to Kisame and bit onto his shoulder. Black lines then quickly moved through his entire body making it begin to twitch yet again.

_Konan vs Twenty Sound Ninja_

"Phew who knew that even the Akatsuki has a girl that isn't too bad on the eyes." One of the ninja says clearly trying to imagine what she looks like under her cloak.

"…Disgusting" Konon muttered before quickly having some paper peel off of her and turned into several paper shuriken that launched at her opponents. Course the one that she wished to hit pulled one of the blacked blooded creatures in front of him to take all of the blows.

"Get her!" he then called out and all of the ninja came at her at once. The zombie like creatures all went after her. Due to this she quickly creates paper wings and hovers above the reach of the mindless drones. Course after seeing this the drones took only a few moments before jumping at her making her have to doge as a few of them would launch at her. While she did this she also had to dodge attacks from the squad that was watching her.

"Enough." Konan growled out flapping her wings to release dozens of sheets of paper that formed into sharp spikes that rained down on her enemies killing some of the drones and forcing the sound ninja to dodge to avoid most of the attacks.

"Tch, darn women" A random ninja growled out and quickly pulled out the spike that landed in his shoulder.

"Well she isn't an S class ninja for nothing dipshit." One of his teammates told him making the original man growl out. The second man just ignored his teammate and launched several fire balls around Konan in a way that she didn't even need to move to avoid the flames. Course this didn't bother the man much as he rushed after the fire balls and jumped at Konan himself and thanks to the fire, she had no way of escaping him. "Heh but just like the rest she is cocky. Now Die!" He told Konan as he rapidly came at her pointing his blade at her with it crackling as lighting chakra flowed through it.

"Fool" Konan muttered as she simply formed two katanas and infused them with her chakra. She then blocked the lighting infused sword with one of her blades unbothered by the fact that the lighting slowly cut through said sword. For as soon as the danger was gone, she brought her second blade down and cut the man deeply across his chest.

"Ch, stupid fool. Why would you ever think that would work." The first man muttered before gaining an evil smirk. "Well I might as well use his stupidity." He mutters before going through a few hand signs and slamming his hands on the ground. He then watched as the wall behind Konan rapidly began to thicken and had a stone spike come jutting out of the wall directly at Konan's back. Though his smirk soon turned to a frown as she flew up just before the spike hit her letting it impale the sound ninja instead. "Damn bird. Why can't you just be hit."

"Calm down Daran we need to think of a plan to pin her before those feather things she rains down end up killing us. Just be thankful that she doesn't seem to have any desire to use basic elemental justu." Another sound ninja muttered before ordering the black blood creatures to yet again hold her attention as she began killing them off. "Now how can we stop her. We need to take the few seconds of time those mindless pawns are giving us to try and figure out a way to end her paper jutsu." The man told the remaining ninja around him.

"What? Fuck that she is distracted now we need to kill her while she is having trouble focusing." Daran told the group with a glare. "Who ever wants to be a pussy can stay here with Taki but if you want to share the rewards Lord Orochmaru gives us for killing this bitch you will come with me right now." He told the group and fifteen of the sound ninja looked to be in thought for just a moment before nodding their heads. "Great now let's go!" Daran told his group rushing at Konan who was quickly finished her opponents; thus leaving only three people with Taki.

"Fools. Who fights without a plan?" A girl sound ninja mutters with the other two shaking their heads at their 'teammates' foolishness. "So, do you have anything that might work?" She asked Taki who seemed to be lost in thought.

"Hmm focus….that must be the key!" Taki tells them with a smirk confusing the people around him. "Think about it that paper jutsu of hers must take a lot of chakra control to properly keep the structures she made together and working properly. So, what happens if we remove that ability?" Taki askes them making them quickly understand.

"Then she falls…but that will only keep her from using her paper jutsu and get her grounded. She still is S class." The female sound ninja told him knowing that she didn't have enough power to face an S class ninja by herself even if they only used basic skills.

"Heh, now Amari you aren't looking at the big picture here. Nazu and Karasu will 'attack' her first creating stone spikes all around this area. Then as soon as it is set up Amari will use her upgraded sound arm and hopefully make her fall. If we are lucky she will land on the spikes but if not the only way for her to land is right next to us. Either way as soon as she is distracted by her land we will strike and end this." Taki explained and at the end the group nodded showing they understood. They all then looked over at the rest of their group where most of the black blood creatures were already dead and only six of the sound ninja remained. "Let's get started before these fools are all finished off." Taki ordered them.

He and the other two males quickly began 'attacking' to create the rock spikes as fast as they could paying no mind to their other teammates as they were being cut down rather quickly. Still they were just about done when the last of their teammates and finally were killed. Though Konan was no longer as pristine as she originally was. For after having to fight so many ninja and using her flying for so long she was now clearly starting to get fatigued. But Taki wasn't about to let her rest as he kept her at a distance with weaker range attacks while the last few spikes were made.

"Heh, we finally got you." Taki told Konan a smirk.

"But yet you are the ones that are nearly completely dead." She told them clearly thinking he was just as cocky as the rest of the sound ninja were.

"That maybe…but we are the one's that actually have a brain. Amari now!" Taki ordered and said girl quickly swung her arm in Konan's direction and began to hit the small metal contraption attached to her hand while focusing the sounds effect solely at Konan. Said flying woman was confused for only a moment until she felt herself start to feel off balance and noticed her wings were quickly losing paper.

"W-what is going on?" Konan thinks as she began to descend towards the spiked floor. She desperately tried to reform her wings only to have her tries fail each time. She then begins to panic as she saw herself get closer and closer to being spiked to death. Still she managed to use the remaining amount of her wings and managed tried to get as close to the edge of the spicks as she could. Seconds later she fell managing to succeed in dodging the spikes and only had one of the spikes graze her leg. She then ended up falling flat onto the ground in front of the remaining sound ninja. She then watched as they came down at her with their weapons clearly planning on finishing the job. Though as she watched the weapons slowly come down the entire group all of a sudden got forced away from her. She then looked in the direction they were launched and saw they were all now slammed into a wall hard enough to leave imprints leaving her a bit shell shocked.

_Pein vs 30 sound ninja and black blood beings_

As soon as the attack started Pein jumped off of his stand and calmly waited as a large group of ninja came at him.

"Heh, pretty calm for someone who is this outnumbered." One of the sound ninja tell Pein with a cocky smirk. Course Pain said nothing but simply slammed his hand down on the ground quickly summoned all of his paths.

"You will know the true meaning of pain." Pein tells them intimidating the large group solely by the looks of his Paths of Pein.

"R-rrright…let's kill this fool already." Another sound ninja ordered stuttering as he tried to force his team to react. They then spent a good while attacking Pein in various ways while he used his bloodlines abilities to easily defeat all of them. In fact, he only took a while in killing them simply because he was in no rush to kill what to him was insignificant insects. Though right after he finished stabbing a man thorough the heart and happened to look over at Konan. His eyes then widened as he saw the sound ninja about to finish her and for once in years, he lost his calm mentality.

"NO! I Refuse to lose someone close to me not again!" Pein screamed in his mind and quickly moved his palm over to the sound ninja. "Shinra Tensei" he called out and watched as the ninja went from about to stab one of his oldest friends to becoming indented into the wall. Pein then quickly went over to his downed teammate and picked her up. He then took a quick look around at the remainder of his group and quickly decided to put his teammate over them. With that in mind he called his paths to him and they all fled from the base.

"Pein. I am sorry" Konan told her friend upset that she got defeated by nobodies.

"It is ok Konan. I just am happy that I didn't lose you as well." Pein told her simply as he fled with the rest of his paths forming a protective circle around them.

_Tobi and Itachi, Orochimaru and Kabuto_

After sending his teams out Orochimaru brought his right-hand man and calmly walked over to Itachi only.

"So we finally meet again Itachi-kun." Orochimaru says with a smirk.

"I will admit I didn't expect to ever see you again. To what do I owe this displeasure?" Itachi asks Orochimaru simply. Orochimaru was about to respond himself until a completely hidden man in an orange mask popped up close to Itachi.

"Hello Snakey-san!" The man said happily making even Orochimaru blink in surprise for a moment.

"Hmm, well it seems that a child has rudely interrupted us…let me correct that." Orochimaru says simply then opened his mouth and let the Kusanagi come out and quickly stretch at Tobi. Tobi saw this and calmly stood there trusting his jutsu only to be stunned when he felt the sword pierce straight through his body and quickly be pulled out.

Behind the mask Obito stood stunned with hide eyes as he put his hand firmly against the front of his wound. "H-how?" He asked looking down at his now bloody hand.

"Hmm it seems someone doesn't know the basics of life if he doesn't realize what a sword can do." Kabuto sarcastically told Itachi who simply glanced over at Tobi.

"Indeed Kabuto-kun. How about showing Tobi-san some lessons about life?" Orochimaru suggested getting a smirk from Kabuto.

"Gladly." Kabuto tells his master and quickly rushed at Tobi with a scalpel in hand. An attack that Tobi dodged by quickly jumping away from Itachi.

"And now we can have some time alone." Orochimaru tells Itachi happily.

"Have you come to try and take my body again?" Itachi asks narrowing his eyes slightly.

"Kukuku don't worry I have other plans to obtain your clans bloodline." Orochimaru told him happy to see that Itachi could no longer hide his anger though he enjoyed the slight widening soon after far more. "What's wrong Itachi-kun is your sharingan on the fritz?"

"W-what did you do?" Itachi asked for once surprised.

"Kukuku oh you'd be surprised what you can do if you put your mind to it." Orochimaru told him. "Now how about we start this match shall we?" Orochimaru tells him making Itachi tense.

"Why isn't my sharingan working?" Itachi thinks actually a bit panicked. Because while he was for sure an S class ninja he also relied on his bloodline quite a bit over the years. Something that has only become even worse as his sickness and vision loss progressed. He knew that he was going to be in for one hell of a fight seeing as Orochimaru was a high S class ninja himself. Still they began to fight with neither side losing any ground. They started fighting hand to hand until Itachi felt he was losing ground and quickly jumped back while going through hand signs. He then quickly blew several large fireballs at Orochimaru who easily dodged he then held his arm towards Itachi and let several snakes come out of his sleeve that launched themselves at Itachi.

Itachi quickly dodged the snakes but just when they were about to reach him he saw his vision blur. "No, not now" Itachi thinks desperately as he continues to move and thankfully managed to get past them but failed to see Orochimaru's fist slam into his chest knocking the wind out of him.

"Oh how the mighty have fallen. Itachi the mighty ANBU of Konoha now reduced to a sickly man that is dying soon with or without help." Orochimaru told Itachi who broke his mask and glared at the snake man. A glare that didn't last too long seeing as he had a coughing fit and coughed up a decent bit of blood. Though as soon as he recovered from his coughing fit he found himself impaled through the chest by Orochimaru's blade. "Let me put you out of your misery Itachi-kun…but I will be honest to you. You are one of the few people that ever was a true challenge for me." Orochimaru admits as he watched Itachi breath his last breath.

_Tobi and Kabuto_

"You know I always thought that the Akatsuki was a serious group. Yet they somehow ended up with a fool like you." Kabuto tells Tobi. Course with his focus on his injury Obito was in no mood to play the fool.

"Screw you." Obito tells Kabuto with a glare.

"Oh, what do you know the fool actually can get serious." Kabuto mutters before activating his chakra scalpel. "Now let's see if he can fight like an adult as well." He then charged head on at Tobi who fought him with kunai from a hidden pouch. Sadly, Obito had little experience fighting a medical ninja and failed to realize that each time Kabuto's scalpels hit his blades the chakra extended past the metal and injured his hands and arms. Sadly, for him he finally noticed when the damage to his hand became enough that he could no longer hold onto his weapon.

"W-what?" Obito muttered trying to use his hands that were struggling to follow his orders. Though he wasn't able to focus on it for long before he felt his vision wavering.

"Oh. It looks like the poison Orochimaru-sama coated his blade with is finally working." Kabuto told Tobi with a smile. He then watched as Tobi tried to continue to struggle only for his movements to become slower and slower. "Kukuku, now I see why lord Orchimaru enjoys playing with his opponents so much." Kabuto tells Tobi walking slowly up to him as he could no longer remain standing.

"N-o! I was supposed to get revenge on this world. I was supposed to bring her back! This was supposed to be my story!" Obito thought trying desperately to do something but could only watch as Kabuto slowly brought his hand to his throat.

"For what it is worth…you are only the second most ridiculous person I have ever meet." Kabuto tells him with a smirk then finally ended Obito's life.

_Zetsu and remaining Sound ninja_

"Tch just great damn this bastard for messing with my master plan." Zetsu thinks watching the ninja run into the cave and sunk into the ground. He then went underneath one of the ones that were after him and quickly began to eat the man alive. Course the man and his team tried to stop him only to fail miserably as Zetsu disappeared before any real damage could be done. He then continued this process until all of the men around him were finished. Afterword he looked around at his 'team' and simply chose to watch as they battled the sound ninja. After all, if they were to be able to complete his plan, they would have to be strong enough to defeat these ninjas. Sadly, he was disappointed again and again as each of them failed.

"Great YEARS of planning to get mother back all wasted thanks to that damn snake. Gah I want to wipe that damn man off the face of this planet. I don't even want to imagine how many years my plans are going to be postponed now." Zetsu thought glaring daggers at Orochimaru. Though after a few minutes he had an idea pop into his head making him smirk yet again. "Hmm actually I may just be able to salvage this. That deluded fool Pein is still alive and will more than likely form his group all over again. AND this snake fool might just prove useful yet. Afterall if he really is obsessed with jutsu then I bet I could worm the idea of getting endless chakra from the biju or some sort of bullshit to get him to do the work as well." Zetsu thinks with his fangs pocking out from evil smirk. "I may just be able to salvage this mess yet….believe in me mother." Zetsu thinks as he sinks into the ground leaving everyone alone…for now.

Now before I start my end notes I will like to give you all this:

Orochimaru's seal: a large seal that takes an immense amount of chakra. It needs enough chakra to power a ridiculous amount of symbols. Feeding this seal not only takes most if not all of several peoples chakra but also will slowly burn through the stored chakra it has from them. Due to this it needs at least a dozen more people watching over it at any time to feed it when the seal becomes visible again. If not it will quickly lose its abilities. The seal works on EVERYONE that is within its circle and affects them by causing small fluctuations in their chakra pathways. This small constant change makes ALL jutsus a bit harder to use and use more chakra than normal. It also makes things that need more precise amounts of chakra like genjutsu, medical jutsu, and eye focused bloodlines next to impossible to use right away. (In my story the user of "special" eyes learn from birth the amount of power it needs to use their eyes without causing damage. Thus not being able to use this normal amount throws them off for a while) After a while it IS possible to use jutsu that needs more control the user just needs to practice while under the seals effects. Something that ONLY Kabuto was able to do. Konan's powers were able to be used because while they need more chakra control than other stuff it isn't as much as genjutsu. Its main focus is instead in her being able to keep her mind focused on what she wants the paper to be at all times.

ANYWAYS now that my info rant for the seal is over I am gonna end this chapter here. Now I feel bad seeing as I tried to get this done as fast as I could after my break but this still took me a decent while before I felt ok with it enough to send it out. Still I hope you enjoyed it for right now. I actually enjoyed doing some of this fight seeing as I don't think people did it like this before and they came out pretty decent in my opinion. Course that is up to you…still I am just going to end this right here by saying I firmly believe that even the strongest people alive can be killed by either sheer numbers or by their own cockiness.
