Chapter one: Discovery
It had been 20 long years sense Mitsuki was saved by Takuto and Meroko. That long sense he had lost his me-chan. Did he regret it? Yes. Izumi thought these things over while flying through the sky. His idiotic partner appeared next to him. "What's wrong Izumi-kun?" He asked in his annoying up and down voice. "Nothing, Jonathan." Izumi answered. Suddenly he spotted his target. "Jonathan, why is there always some crazed shinigami fallowing Takuto and Meroko's footsteps. They are net very inspiring, why fallow their ways? Sure they may have ended up good, but it won't happen for everyone." Izumi pouted referring to their orders to take out another Shinigami who has disobeyed orders and befriended a human being.
He came up to his target. He looked into the window. There was a girl and a boy. It was the girl who shinigami, she looked about 14 had wings and a tail, and a wait what? Cat ears? Her brown hair was braided in the back, and her bangs held high. Somehow familiar. All of a sudden she looked as though she was talking to the boy, he nodded and then she disappeared. Izumi gasped and looked around. Then something hit him in the back of his head, hard. He flew forward. He saw something swiftly move. Then a foot hit him on the side of his face. Izumi was stunned, how dare a shinigami lash out in such rudeness! Especially to him. The girl was instantly behind him kicking him up into the air.
"You!" She cried out hitting him with great strength in the jaw, uppercut! "You did the same to my father!" She cried out doing a round house kick and sent him spinning. Izumi's vision came back, he looked at his ghostly partner who was tied around a pole and then he looked a t his attacker. Her hair was brown, her while ears twitched around as if searching for sound. Her tail swiped back and forth alarmingly.
He took a deep breath and stood. "You know what you are doing? Don't you? Disobeying orders to take a soul." He said. She nodded. "Just because I died doesn't mean others have to too. I am going to protect this boy, he has an amazing talent. He hasn't lived his life to the fullest; he doesn't need the same regret as me." She said. She lifted her head allowing him to see her eyes. As she said this, he recognized the, eyes and the courage. He couldn't find out what though.
Elsewhere, Meroko had heard and had been given orders to stop a shinigami fight. She came towards the house where they were. Izumi! Meroko thought. Then she saw the young girl. "Hey! AREN'T YOU TAKUTO AND MITSUKI'S CHILD!" Meroko yelled. The girl looked up. She saw that she was, and that she was dead. She was a shinigami. "Crescent! What? Why are you dead?" She cried. Crescent looked up and then down. "I just died."
